Chapter 11

Six Months Later

Christine walked into her house to find it empty. She was seriously considering taking up Peter's offer to move in with him in Avengers Tower. Despite the fact that it was quite a bit further from the hospital, Peter's ability to open a portal between the hospital and his floor of the tower with a quick text made such a concern worthless. Indeed, Christine proved this by sending a text message and thirty seconds later her boyfriend stepped into her home.

Peter gave her a light peck on the lips and hugged her. She relaxed into he hug.

"Rough day?" Peter asked.

"Steven Strange was in a bad car accident today," Christine answered.

"Your ex-boyfriend Steven?" Peter asked.

"The one and the same. It…destroyed the use of his hands. He'll never be able to do surgery again," Christine admitted.

"From what you've told me he isn't going to take that well," Peter said.

"No. He won't. He is being kept sedated for now while his body heals," Christine explained. "I should be there when he wakes up."

"I understand. They will text you before they are bringing him out of it?" Peter asked. Christine nodded. "I can get you back there in seconds. Come on. Let's get you fed and cleaned up. You look like you could use a massage."

"You're wonderful. I love you," Christine said.

"I love you too," Peter replied before he set out taking care of his girlfriend.

A Week Later

"Steven, this is my boyfriend Peter Parker," Christine said. "Peter this is Steven Strange."

"When you said you wanted me to meet your boyfriend Peter you didn't say it was Parker," Steven said with a raised eyebrow. "How on Earth didn't this make the news? I'd shake your hand but well," He added as he held up his injured hands.

"Peter is very good at keeping his business out of the media if he wants to," Christine said.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Steven. Christine has told me a lot about you," Peter said.

"Then I doubt it is a pleasure to meet you. Why did she want us to meet?" Steven asked while looking at Christine with a raised eyebrow.

"I thought Peter might be able to help you," Christine said. "With your hands."

"What I'm about to tell you, you won't be able to talk to anyone about that isn't already in the know. A spell prevents you," Peter explained which caused Christine's eyes to widen in surprise while looking to her boyfriend, realizing what he was about to reveal.

"A spell," Steven said skeptically.

"Yes. A spell," Peter confirmed even as his Iron-Spider armor melted over his form mask and all.

"You're Spider-Man," Steven said with surprise looking between Spider-Man and Christine. "Your boyfriend is Spider-Man," He added to Christine.

"I'm aware Steven," Christine said with amusement. "The question I have is why he is revealing that to you. He obviously doesn't tell many people."

Peter's armor retracted once more.

"Because part of my ability of knowing things I shouldn't tells me to be careful how I interfere with Steven's destiny," Peter said. "Do you find it ironic Steven that you an incredibly skilled surgeon loses the ability to work with his hands?"

"I don't need that pointed out to me," Steven replied bitterly.

"There are beings in this universe of unimaginable power. I believe that whatever being plays the role of fate here is teaching you a lesson. I'm sure you are aware people call you arrogant. You obviously have reason to be. But I think fate is trying to teach you a little humility. I can see sometimes what will happen without interference. You would have spent all of your money, every cent, pursuing experimental surgeries which would have gotten you nowhere. Then eventually after you had pushed away everyone, even Christine here, you would pursue an alternative method of healing in Kathmandu at a place called Kamar-Taj. It is there you will master the mystic arts, magic. It would give you the ability to use your hands again but at the cost of being able to use your magic to defend the planet," Peter explained.

"Defend the planet, you mean like an Avenger?" Steven asked very skeptically.

"You would work with the Avengers from time to time," Peter agreed.

"This is pretty unbelievable. I'd call you insane if you weren't an Avenger yourself," Steven said. "What are you hoping I'll do with this information?"

"I'm hoping you will skip the part where you waste your fortune and reputation and go straight to Kamar-Taj once you are healed up enough to move. We Avengers could use your assistance in the future. I'll even open a portal to take you there once you are well enough to move from that bed," Peter said.

"Could you heal me?" Steven asked.

"I could," Peter said honestly. "Though that healing would probably amount to cloning you and transferring your consciousness and soul into that cloned body."

"You can do that?" Steven asked in surprise.

"Yes," Peter confirmed.

"But you won't," Steven said.

"I will if you go to Kamar-Taj and give it a try. If it doesn't work out, I will put you in a new clone body for Christine," Peter said.

Christine took Peter's hand and squeezed it.

Steven turned to Christine and asked, "What do you think of this?"

"I think the man I love, the man I've come to trust, is advising another man I care about to do what is best for him. I think you should take his advice. You've seen what he and the other Avengers have managed to do," Christine said.

"Good point," Steven said with a dip of his head. "I'll do it. I'll go to this Kamar-Taj."

Later That Night

"Thank you for helping Steven," Christine said.

"Wasn't the sex the thank you?" Peter asked as he lay naked in bed with Christine, her head against his chest.

"Partially, and just because I love the sex," Christine said with a grin. "Most men wouldn't help their girlfriend's ex. But then again you aren't most men."

"And you aren't most girlfriends," Peter said before kissing her.

When they broke the kiss Peter opened a portal and caused a syringe to float through.

"What's this?" Christine asked as she accepted the telekinetic syringe.

"That is immortality," Peter admitted.

"Seriously," Christine said as she sat up and looked at him wide eyed.

"Yes. That injection will give you a mutation, a specific mutation, rapid healing from pretty much most injuries including the effects of aging. I would love for you to take it. If you decide you don't want to live forever later I can neutralize the effects," Peter explained. "I foresee things getting dangerous in the near future."

"Are there any downsides?" Christine asked.

"No. Many people in my life have taken it," Peter said.

Christine took the injection without hesitation. Peter just held her after that and answered her questions.

Avengers Tower

"I've never been to this level before," Christine said as she stepped out of the elevator.

"This is the level where we do combat training," Peter explained. "If you're up for it I thought we could get you proficient with a few guns to start with."

"I…I'm not very comfortable with guns," Christine admitted.

"Have you ever used one?" Peter asked.

"No," Christine admitted.

"Most people who aren't comfortable with guns like them a lot once they actually try them," Nat said as Christine and Peter entered the shooting range section.

"Oh hello Nat," Christine greeted.

"Hi. Peter thought it would be better if I showed you how to use guns since I am slightly better with them than him," Nat said.

"I'll just be watching," Peter said.

Peter watched his two lovers start practicing. Nat had been right. Christine was grinning as she shot the targets within half an hour gaining accuracy as she practiced.

Several Weeks Later, Kathmandu

"How's the training going?" Peter asked as he and Steven walked ate food they had obtained from a street vendor.

Peter had promised to check in on Steven from time to time during the training. This was the first visit.

"It's going well. Though I can't seem to get the hang of this sling ring," Steven said as he held up a sling ring. "You seem to make portals with ease. Any tips?"

Peter gave him a few tips.

"Has the Ancient One mentioned me at all?" Peter asked.

"No. She didn't seem to be aware of you and she seems to be aware of everything," Steven said. "Why is that?"

"A friend said I was sort of a blind spot in her perception," Peter said. "That must still be going."

"Must be nice. I get the feeling she knows a lot about my future," Steven said.

"She knows you will be one of the most gifted sorcerers there ever was," Peter said. "If you work hard."

"Well that's good to know," Steven mused.

The two men spent a little while longer talking before Peter let Steven get back.

Several Weeks Later, Metro General Hospital, New York

Peter just happened to be picking up Christine for lunch the day Steven Strange sling ring portaled into a supply closet.

"Steven," Christine cried.

"He's been stabbed," Peter informed her as he went over and picked up Steven.

"Operating room," Steven said.

"In here," Christine pointed out.

He passed out and then Astro-projected.

"Hello Steven," Peter said as Christine began to work on him.

"He's unconscious," Christine said.

"He's Astral-projecting out of his body," Peter said as he pointed right there.

Steven made himself visible to Christine.

"I get the feeling your training has been going well," Christine said.

"You left the portal open," Peter said as he sensed an astral form come through the portal.

Kaecilius' goon Lucian had just astral-projected into the hospital. Peter walked out into the hallway. He cast a spell and bolts of what seemed like lightning lashed out and attacked Lucian's astral form. Lucian's astral form let out a scream of pain before his astral form was destroyed. Peter watched over Christine as she finished up taking care of Steven's wound. He soon woke up.

"I need to be getting back," Steven said.

"Go," Peter replied.

"Watch out for yourself," Christine called out. Steven nodded and left. "I think I'll send the clone come in after lunch and finish off the day, maybe even the rest of the week."

Peter had worked out how to let his ladies control clones.

"Will you leave it on the AI setting or control it yourself?" Peter asked as she got her things to head out for lunch.

"I think the AI setting," Christine said. Peter had made it so the ladies could control their clones using the magic he used or leave it on an AI setting based on their personality. "I have put in my time here for the week and feel good about myself. I just want to relax and spend time with you and anything else I want to do."

"Would you like to join me on Eden?" Peter asked.

Eden was a planet in an uninhabited part of space. The route to get there by traditional starship methods was very dangerous. Luckily after it had been located the first time Eden could be reached by sorcerer portal. Peter and Tony had named it Eden because the planet was untouched beauty. It had a high volume of water which meant many islands and beaches. Tony and Peter had dotted the island with vacation homes fully manned by robotic servants.

"I've been dying to go ever since you told me about it. I've already gotten some new bikinis I would love to show you," Christine said with a grin.

"Excellent," Peter agreed.

Metro General Hospital

Peter stood beside Christine's clone as they looked at the deceased body of the Ancient One.

"I know longer need to fear that she will try to stop me," Peter thought to himself. He hadn't realized how strong the fear had been. In his youth he had read many fanfiction stories involving the MCU. In many of these stories the Ancient One had detected extra-universal incursions from beings written into the stories and existed as a threat. He felt as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. Already the time stone rested with the other five infinity stones in his possession. The moment the Ancient One had died, Peter had switched the real stone out for a copy. The copy could take a charge. Peter wasn't completely sure. But he was reasonably certain there was enough of a charge in fake time stone for Steven to fight off Dormammu. "Five of the six infinity stones down and only one more to go."

That last stone would be the hardest yet. The soul stone had a fee for gaining it that Peter simply wasn't willing to pay. Christine was still relaxing on Eden with the other version of Peter. He didn't want her anywhere around this whole mess. Peter watched over the next couple of hours as Strange fought and bargained with Dormammu. Peter used concealment spells as he watched Strange die over and over stuck in the time loop. The fake time stone was nearing the depletion of the charge Peter had given it when Dormammu was ready to bargain.

"Thank goodness that asshole made a deal at that point. Bastard was on the power scale of an older celestial," Peter thought as Strange returned to Earth.

Peter was fairly powerful. But he wasn't near his full power levels that he would gain as he aged as a celestial. Luckily he had a cheat. He was currently wearing five of the six infinity stones. He was fairly certain he could have obliterated Dormammu if he had tried. But why take the risk and rob Strange of a chance to cut his teeth defending Earth. Peter had a backup team in place. Jean and Thor would certainly make Dormammu regret attacking the Earth. Jean's mastery of the phoenix force had only grown over the years. When Strange returned the Eye of Agamotto containing the fake time stone to a pedestal in the New York sanctum, Peter recharged the fake time stone.

Guardian Village, Several Months Later

Sersi held her hands above her eyes to shield them from the brightness her glowing lover had taken on as he flexed his might. Nearby Thena was doing the same thing as Quill also flexed his might.

"Wow that's a rush," Quill declared when the two males stopped glowing.

"I can only imagine," Thena said.

"You are growing stronger faster than I ever imagined," Sersi told Peter as she admired his mostly naked form.

Traditional clothing wouldn't survive the power levels the two males had just been releasing. They had a pair of shorts made from Celestial clothing produced on Sersi's ship and that was it.

"How did we do?" Peter asked as he approached Sersi who was holding the handheld scanner they had made.

"It says you are at 28% of the power levels a million year old celestial of Arishem's breed," Sersi said.

"What about me?" Quill asked.

"15%," Sersi answered.

"Not all of us can have a bunch of glowing rocks to charge us up faster," Quill teased.

"Is someone jealous. That just means we'll have to screw more," Thena suggested before kissing Quill.

"Not going to turn that down," Quill mused.

"The real question is how powerful we will need to beat Thanos," Peter mused.

"A fully powered Celestial like Arishem may be a match for Thanos if Thanos has one infinity stone depending on how practiced Thanos has become in wielding it. You aren't fully charged. But you have five infinity stones. We should continue to practice with you wielding those. We obviously don't want to destroy the barriers you've put up or others will sense you have the stones. So you can't go all out. But you should still be able to strengthen your control," Sersi suggested.

The borders of Guardian Village had been surrounded with Celestial technology that shielded the energy emissions from the infinity stones when they were used. But the border barriers could be overwhelmed.

"I think between the two of us we'll squash Thanos like a bug," Quill told Peter as he laid a hand on the other celestial's shoulder. "That isn't even bringing into account all of the backup you are building."

"All you can do is train and continue to gather allies," Thena mused. "And fuck. I think you should go relax him," She advised Sersi.

"I think I'll do that," Sersi said with a grin as she took Peter's hand and led him back towards the house they shared together along with Gamora.

When they entered they found Gamora curled up on the couch reading a book.

"How did the training go?" Gamora asked.

"It went well. But Peter is getting all brooding again. Do you want to help me distract him?" Sersi asked as she sank to her knees.

Sovereign Prime

"Here Abilisk comes," Peter called.

The Guardians stood arrayed around them as the pink tentacle monster with several rows of double teeth big enough to swallow any of them whole flew out of an interdimensional portal towards the platform the Guardians stood upon. The group had been hired to guard the batteries against Abilisk. Peter had made sure that Nebula hadn't been captured by the sovereign in her own attempt to steal the batteries. She hadn't been successful stealing the batteries. Peter did not want Nebula being reunited with Gamora because he suspected Thanos would use Nebula instead of Gamora to get the soul stone. In fact Peter had used his infinity stones to ensure it.

He had used the five infinity stones to alter Nebula's persona. When Thanos interacted with Nebula her altered soul would see him becoming fonder and fonder of her the longer they spent together. Peter didn't exactly like doing that. But in the end he shrugged it off and told himself that better Nebula than Gamora.

Peter forced the distraction away as the Guardians attacked Abilisk. Peter and Quill hung back while the others attacked. Drax used his knives. Gamora, Groot, Rocket, and Roxxy used energy rifles. Peter and Quill used their physical strength. They could both manipulate matter and energy to a limited degree at this point. But they wanted to conserve their energy for what came next. Instead they were using their far beyond human physical strength whenever the fight needed it. Peter had wanted to give the others the chance to improve their skills. He was far beyond even Quill in terms of physical strength thanks to his hulk enhancements. Whenever Abilisk would get too aggressive, Peter would punch the creature in the head region knocking it for a loop.

The fight went on for a while when Gamora shouted, "Hit it harder and I will finish it."

Peter nodded and delivered his most powerful punch yet rocking the creature back. Abilisk's head flew back right into the combination of Quill and Gamora. Gamora had been flying thanks to the repulsor harness she had been wearing based on Iron-Man tech. Peter was flying under his own celestial power. Gamora held an adamantium sword which Abilisk flew back into, impaling its brain. The force of the creature coming at her drove Gamora back beyond what her repulsor harness could handle. Peter gripped her shoulders from behind and stabilized her flight. And just like that the fight was over.

"Well that was easy," Rocket declared.

"It was a worthy fight," Drax agreed. "Now we must collect our bounty."

"Rocket, no," Roxxy said.

"What," Rocket said innocently.

"Don't you try that face with me," Roxxy replied. "You were going to steal some Anulax batteries."

"Why did you have to make her with limited telepathy," Rocket whined towards Peter.

Roxxy had been genetically engineered with telepathy attuned only towards Rocket.

"So she can keep up with you," Peter said.

"She never lets me have any fun," Rocket muttered under his breathe.

"Oh you have plenty of fun," Roxxy replied before telepathically sending Rocket images of all the sexual activities they got up to.

The group cleaned up and left to pick up their bounty.

A Few Hours Later

"I'm surprised you didn't take High Priestess Ayesha up on her clear come-ons," Gamora told Peter as the Milano cleared the atmosphere of Sovereign Prime.

"I was tempted. But despite the fact that Thena says she doesn't mind me sleeping with other women I'm still not comfortable with it yet," Quill said. "We're in a relationship."

"I give that resolve a decade at most. You're immortal," Peter told Quill.

"Heads up people. We have an unknown ship incoming," Rocket pointed out.

Sure enough Ego's ship was approaching.

"We're being hailed," Quill announced before putting it up on the holographic projector.

Ego's face came up before them.

"Peter Quill," Ego said. "I have looked a long time for you. My name is Ego. I'm your father. I was wondering if I could come onboard."

"Alright. Come unarmed," Quill said, playing dumb about knowing the man was a celestial.

MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU – MCU

A Half Hour Later

It hadn't taken Ego long to explain the same story he had explained in the canon movie Peter had watched in his past life. Yondu had been supposed to deliver Peter Quill to Ego after Meredith Quill's death. But Yondu had kept Quill. Ego wanted Quill to come to his home planet and learn about his unique heritage. Quill agreed to go along with his team who were invited.

"Do you think he suspects anything?" Quill asked after Ego had returned to his ship.

The Milano would be following Ego back to his planet.

"It didn't seem like it to me," Peter said. "My celestial tech shielding will hopefully maintain my status as a celestial as a secret until it is too late along with the fact that I'm packing five infinity stones."

"It's hard for me not to attack him knowing what he did to my mom," Quill said.

"You're doing a brilliant job holding it in and acting," Gamora complimented. To her boyfriend she asked, "Is Jean doing ok?"

"She is," Peter assured.

Peter's Iron-Spider armor had a permanent pocket dimension that was expanded using sorcerer magic. Jean was currently sitting tight in that pocket dimension in case she was needed quickly.

"I can't wait to see the look on this asshole's face when he realizes what we are going to do to him," Quill said with a grin.

"Just try to restrain your overconfidence," Peter advised. "We are dealing with an older celestial here. Our plan and contingency plans are good. But if things go really bad, we will just cut and run."

"I'll keep that in mind," Quill assured.

"We all will," Gamora added.

Ego's Planet

Ego's planet was only a little bigger than Earth's moon. Ego directed them to land on a landing pad not far from the structure he housed his humanoid body in. He arrived on a floating platform to transport the group towards that structure.

"Wow, you own your own planet," Quill said.

"It's no larger than Earth's moon," Ego said humbly.

There were floating multi-colored bubbles floating through the air. Drax touched one and it burst into many even smaller bubbles.

"What are you exactly?" Gamora asked.

"I'm what's called a celestial," Ego said.

"Celestial like a god," Quill clarified.

"Small g son. At least on the days I am feeling humble," Ego said with a chuckle as he led them into the structure that could easily be called a palace. He gestured to the massive ornate room. "I don't know where I came from. The first thing I remember is being adrift in the cosmos utterly alone. Over millions of years I learned to control the molecules around me. I grew smarter and stronger. I continued building from there layer by layer." As he spoke ego formed structures in the room on a molecular level to animate what he was talking about. "The very planet you walk on now," He added. "But I wanted more. I desired meaning. I set myself the task of finding other life in the universe besides just me. I created what I imagined biological life might look like down to the most minute detail. That is the form you see before you."

"Did you make a penis?" Drax asked.

"Dude," Quill immediately said to Drax.

"What is wrong with you?" Gamora demanded.

"If he's a planet how could he make a baby with your mother," Drax said. "He would smush her."

"Obviously he isn't a normal planet," Peter pointed out. "What part of celestial did you miss. Celestials do things differently."

"He gets it," Ego replied. "But yes. I do have a penis."

The guardians continued to listen to Ego's story.

"This is obviously tailored for Quill," Peter sent telepathically to Gamora.

"Yes. To make him like Ego. There are holes in this story. He wouldn't have created a human life as the first go around. Humanoid as you Terrans call it, possibly. But there are many species throughout this galaxy alone," Gamora responded.

Peter and Gamora continued to chat telepathically until they were eventually shown to a room by Ego's servant Mantis.

Asgard, Odin's Private Study

"Welcome Lord Parker," Odin greeted Peter as he was shown into the private study.

"That never gets old," Peter said.

"Oh trust me it will," Odin said with a small smile. "I take it your presence means you know that my time draws short."

"I am aware of this," Peter said.

Odin was silent as he turned and stared out the window over Asgard.

"I have made many mistakes in my life. None were as great as Hela. I trained her to be a weapon. And when she grew beyond my control, I imprisoned her. Her anger at me has only grown worse over the years," Odin explained.

"If you allow yourself to die she will be released back into whatever realm you are in uncontrolled. It will lead to Ragnarok," Peter said.

"Thor has been having nightmares of it as have I. His perception grows as he gets older," Odin said. He turned back to face Peter. "You speak as if I have a choice in dying. I am old."

A portal opened up showing a surprised Frigga on the other side. Frigga saw who was on the other side of the portal and stepped through.

"Peter," Frigga greeted warmly.

"Your husband and I were about to begin a discussion on the nature of mortality," Peter said.

"He knows," Odin said after exchanging a look with his wife.

"This should be interesting," Frigga said.

"I am able to grant humans, Asgardians, and several other species with a genetic enhancement which will rapidly heal their body, even from the effects of aging. It cannot turn back the clock biologically speaking. But it can prevent forward progress. At your current age that would not be desirable. So, first we must reset the clock to an earlier point," Peter said.

He opened another portal. This time the portal moved and out of it appeared two vertical stasis pods which contained younger versions of Odin and Frigga.

"The bodies are Asgardian?" Odin asked.

"Of course," Peter said.

"I'd ask how you obtained the necessary genetic material. But that would be trivially easy for someone such as yourself," Frigga mused. She looked at her husband and said, "Graciously accept his offer husband."

"Of course my dear," Odin agreed. "But Thor will be king. I am done ruling."

"As it should be. Your time as king is done," Frigga agreed. "Jane will make a fine queen. Jane has already been given this immortality treatment. Out of curiosity would it be possible to give her an Asgardian body?"

"It may be. But Asgardian bodies work best with Asgardian souls. Jane's soul is human," Peter explained.

"Never mind then. I was just curious," Frigga said.

"There is a problem. I do believe Hela will be released when I am transferred to that body. The spells that bind her are tied to this form," Odin explained.

"I'll put a team together," Peter assured.

Two Days Later, Midgard, Malibu

Asgard's true history had been explained to Thor. Thor had taken it decently well realizing his father was fallible. Odin had officially passed the crown to his son. Just before the passing of the crown Thor and Jane had been wed by Odin.

Odin and Frigga lay on beds that used the celestial transference technology that Peter had first seen used by Apocalypse. Thor, Quill, Sersi, Thena, Sif, and Jean stood in the room with Peter. Peter was tense as he prepared to use the five infinity stones embedded in his Iron-Spider armor if need be. He remembered how devastatingly deadly Hela had been in the movie Thor Ragnarok. Thor, Sif, and Jean had all been given the Wolverine serum.

"Is everyone ready?" Peter asked.

"As we'll ever be," Odin replied.

He received nods from all around. Peter mentally activated the consciousness transferal process. Moments after Odin's form disappeared into the bed he lay upon a green portal began opening in the air. Odin and Frigga's new bodies were in an adjoining room.

"Quite the party waiting here for me," Hela said as she stepped out of the portal.

Peter tried opening a sorcerer portal to swallow Hela up. But she did something with a set of daggers she summoned which destabilized the portal. Thor had been warned not to throw Mjolnir at her.

"Sister," Thor said. "I am Thor, your brother. I did not know of your existence until two days previous. I beseech you to listen and talk rather than fight."

"So, father sired another to replace me. Did he mold you into a weapon as well?" Hela said. "It matters not. I can sense you aren't as powerful as I am. You on the other hand," She said while turning to Peter. "Are something else. You do a good job of hiding it. But I can sense power brimming off of you. Who are you to accompany eternals and the phoenix avatar? You are obviously the most powerful of the lot."

Hela couldn't sense the infinity stones themselves. But she could sense Peter's power levels which were enhanced by the infinity stones.

"I am Peter Parker," Peter said. "I am a friend of your brother's."

"Play humble all you like. It doesn't suit one with your power level. I daresay you possibly rivaled Odin. What realm is this? This isn't Asgard," Hela said as she looked around.

"Midgard," Thor answered.

Hela wasn't stupid. She could see the team arranged before her had been put together to kill her if she got out of hand. And they had the power to do it.

"I am willing to talk," Hela said.
