MerendinoEmilano: I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Guest(chapter 10): To "Lay into" Someone means that you press your sides into them. Alternatively, it's a slang meaning that Someone was verbally attacked without mercy.
F(chapter 13): Nothing could go wrong from any of that. Young Sonic's innocent desire is something everyone could relate to I think.
Guest(Chapter 27): Fiona played her part masterfully. But Sally wasn't out yet.
A(Chapter 28): Tails has a lot on his mind. Not everything is Sonic's fault, but he's having trouble drawing that line.
o3o(Chapter 34): I tried on that scene.
Anonymous(chapter 40): oh how the mind wanders…
Anonymous(chapter 41): There is a certain amount of irony and humor in that scene, but there is also a good foiling between Fiona and Geoffrey.
Anonymous(chapter 42): To be fair to Sally, she didn't know he had run off, and even if she did, she didn't think he should have.
o3o(Chapter 42): He always does. I actually made sure that he would not lie through any of the chapters.
o3o(Chapter 43): Fiona and Scourge's relationship was built on spite. Their who thing was about trying to maximize the pain Sonic felt. Once that spite was gone... you get the idea. As for how their relationship was before, I'll leave that for the inferences.
o3o(Chapter 44): I didn't want Fiona to become a noncombatant, and there is theme I'm setting up through Fiona. I'm glad you had a good time reading this.
o3o(Chapter 51): Yeah, but Fiona doesn't have a lot she can do to stand as Sally's equal. She just has to sit there and take the punishment. Of course, that comes with consequences…
I have to say, it is fun watching someone's first time read throughout these chapters. I love metaphorically seeing the eyes of people light up when they see what a plot point was building to, or feel a strong emotion at particular chapter.

The fields were so beautiful, mixing the green grass with the holden wild grains. He sat there with Sally, who looked glowing. She was beautiful. Sonic looked down and saw the beautiful blue blanket that they were sitting on. Sun felt so warm, and the shade over them made the perfect temperature thanks to the large yew tree.
Sonic opened the picnic basket, and pulled out a couple of lovely chilidogs.
Sally snorted, "You know, most people bring sandwiches to picnics. They're a lot easier to make, and you don't have to worry about your blanket." Sall shook her head and laughed a bit, " I guess some things will never change."
Sonic smiled weakly, "Come on, you know I can't waste a perfectly good dog."
Sally sighed, "No…no you can't." She looked a little troubled.
"Hey, is everything alright?" Sonic asked. She seemed to get colder by the minute.
"I'm fine, just a little worried about our future." Sally sighed, looking down at her lap.
Sonic blinked, "Our future?"
"Oh, so this is what you're doing? I'm out there fighting for you! I've tried to be better, for you! And you're here!" Sonic jerked around and saw a red fox standing there, her fur puffed up angrily.
"F-Fiona?" Sonic gaped. Did he invite her there? Maybe? She wore a golden dress which seemed to show off her curves and form, and showed the fur between her breasts. She wore silver chains around her wrists, which had sapphire triangles dangling from them. Wore beautiful golden heels which accented her toned legs.
She was beautiful.
Sally growled in her throat, "He's occupied right now! You aren't welcome!" She pointed at Fiona aggressively. Sonic stood up.
"N-now hold on, Fiona's fin-" Sonic started, but Fiona jumped in.
"You don't get to tell me what I can and can not do, where I can and can not go, who I can and can not love! You don't get to decide anything!" Fiona growled back at Sally, raising a finger of her own.
The two starred off, before Fiona threw her hands up, "Screw it. I can't keep waiting for you to wake up." She turned around and started walking.
"Fiona wait!" Sonic called out, earning an angry look from Sally, "Sal, Please, try to be nicer to her. She's really changing-"
"WHAT ABOUT YOU? YOU'RE CHANGING! YOU'RE AN IDIOT!" Sally's fist were balled as she stood up.
Sonic backed away from her, "What? What did I do?"
"It's what you didn't do! You didn't notice, you didn't care!" Sally shouted at Sonic, before grabbing his neck, "You let me go into battle! You knew deep down!"
Sonic heard the sound of wailing… like a baby, "W-What are you talking about." He gasped as she closed her fingers tightened.
"You know, You know exactly what I'm talking about." Sally growled. The grass had turned brown, and the grains were bare. Sally's fur looked… lose, like poorly put on rubber suit.
Sonic was lifted off the ground. Sally's hands were cold, hard. As her grip tightened. He coughed, "S-Sally! Sally stop!"
Her face began to sag as skin slowly fell off, with bits of metal showing underneath, with dark brown metal cracking through her skin, "You are too scared to ever try to commit to anything. Like a child."
Sonic kicked her head, causing skin to fly off. He kept kicking as more skin dripped and flew off.
Sonic slowed down as the jagged, Metal head appeared in front of him. The robotic blue eyes gazed back at Sonic.
"You did this to me." Mecha Sally growled back.
Sonic's eyes shot open. He wasn't in a field, and his arms were bound upward, and his legs were bound downward. He the room was light grey, with several identical tiles lining the floor.
Sonic looked up and saw the circular grey structure which held him in place, serving to hold him there. Then Sonic looked around the room.
Eggman sat down in a chair, smug and leaning back in pleasure. Sonic's chest burned… literally, it wasn't just emotional pain.
His eyes scanned to his right. Mecha Sally stood there, her energy blade drawn. It appeared to have cut into Sonic's skin ever so lightly, and sent a shock through him to wake him up.
Sonic laughed a little, "Well, Eggman, I'm in quite the pickle, huh? I don't suppose me telling you to "let me go" would do anything." He needed to stay confident, even if things looked bad.
Eggman laughed a low chuckle to himself, " I think you'll find yourself in a bit more than a… pickle. Do it again!"
Sonic blinked when he felt the burning energy blades cut into his legs. Sonic felt his entire network of nerves ignite, sending pain throughout his entire lower half. Sonic grunted, but didn't allow himself to scream.
Eggman wanted him weak, he wasn't going to get it.
Sonic panted a bit as Mecha Sally waited, before jamming the blades in again without warning. Sonic groaned through tight teeth as he continued to hurt from her attack. Why was she attacking him now.
"That's enough! No more!" Eggman shouted at the roboticized Sally. Mecha Sally backed away from Sonic, her cold metal eyes seeming to glare at him with a sort of personal rage that Sonic didn't understand.
"Come on, Sal, help me. I know you can fight this!" Johan did, so why couldn't Sally?
Sonic panted before Sally jammed her blades into Sonic's sides, making light cuts. Sonic yelped, and thrashed inside his restraints.
"I said enough! RETURN TO YOUR STATION!" Eggman barked, sounding very annoyed. Mecha Sally obeyed, and flew off.
Eggman sat back in his chair as Sonic caught his breath. He was in a lot of pain. Eggman groaned, "I swear, one defective, defiant machine, and none of them listen anymore!"
Sonic smiled and chuckled to himself, "Well… sometimes you just have to let them make their own decisions. Let 'em mess up a few times and they'll learn." Sonic gasped a his legs kept hurting.
"Hmph, No matter, I have you, that's all that I care about." Eggman grinned, sinisterly. Sonic actually felt pretty nervous, all things considered.
Sonic sighed, "So… Is it a trip to the roboticizer?" Sonic struggled in his chains. He pulled and strained, trying to loosen or break them.
"Hmmn, no, I don't think so. That wouldn't be any fun now, would it?" Eggman cackled, cracking his knuckles, "I can't hear your screams as a robot, now can I? No… You've caused me so much trouble, I'm going to enjoy our time together."
Sonic saw a door to his right open up, and an Echidna came in, stocky and wearing a new uniform, "Sir, I have a message from the pronghorn. She has concerns about launching an offensive so soon. Several of her carriers suffered damage, rendering some inoperable for the time being-"
"Bah, enough. Tell her to proceed with the offensive as planned. They have nothing left to stop us. We have the hedgehog, we have the princess, and their beast is probably breaking down, running rampant with his faulty coding." Eggman waved dismissively, "Tell her I want them finished!"
"Right away, sir." The echidna bowed and left through the door he came in.
Sonic blinked. Eggman was attacking, "STOP IT! You can't win!"
"Oh this will be fun." Eggman grinned before clapping his hands. Badniks came from the right door, carrying in a large screen and setting it down several feet in front of Sonic.
A couple of Echidnas came in, "Sir… We can't move the entire operations center in here. " One said with concern in his voice.
"Lien-da has also left another request for you." Another sighed.
"Bah, I'll deal with it later. Get the screen set up." Eggman growled, annoyed.
"But sir, we can't discuss battle plans without you there at the operat-" The first echidna explained, only for Eggman to slam his fists down on the chair.
"I have one battle plan that you need to follow: ATTACK!" Eggman barked and the Echidna's quickly nodded and began to hook up the screen to the plugs in the walls, "I swear, they act like there's still a war going on. It's over, you, the princess, the beast. Soon it will be formal." Eggman growled, rubbing his temples.
Sonic thrashed inside the chains, trying to break free and do SOMETHING!
Eggman perked up, "That reminds me, We still have a lot more fun to have. MECHA SALLY, BRING ME THE DRILL!"
Sonic heard the door open and he saw a short, thin drill being carried in by his beloved.
Eggman smiled, "Oh yes, So much more fun." His laugh filled the room as the drill whirled to life.
/*-*/
Fiona sank down in the pool of water. Sonic was gone. It was strange, she'd wanted him dead, broken and miserable for so long. Now she was devastated. Her mind made up possible alternatives. He could have survived, Legionnaires had.
Maybe he jumped out before the explosion? And fell down several feet only for fire to shoot down below? Maybe he took an escape pod? If so, why didn't he show up?
Fiona sighed, and climbed out of the water, at least feeling a little refreshed by the sweat and mud off her body. As she climbed out, she over heard a couple of men outside the barracks.
"Come on, It'll be in the middle of the night, no one will know." One, a wolf proposed.
"But they need us here." Another, a rabbit explained nervously.
"Bah, it's over. Sonic is gone, the princess is out of commission. We're done. The best thing you can do is look out for yourself." The wolf growled back. His fists were clenched angrily.
Fiona listened to the rabbit sighed, " I don't know, man. This kingdom is all I've ever known or been apart of. I fought for so long to bring this kingdom back…"
"And if you keep up, it'll be all you will have ever known." The wolf grumbled, "Come on, man, it's not worth it."
"Hey, y'all talking about an escape plan?" Another voice piped up as Fiona shook her head and gathered her clothes.
Then she had a cruel voice remind her. You're planning on running with Scourge. If anything you're worse.
Fiona couldn't help it, and anyone who wouldn't take the opportunity to get off the sinking ship and onto a luxury cruise is a liar. Fiona trudged along the base. She had several hours until night fall. She decided to visit Sonic's manor, and get some comfort food.
Fiona walked into the door and saw… no one. No one was there, waiting for her. Fiona walked towards the kitchen, and heard frantic scrambling.
"For-a give me, lord-a." Christina's voice called out, "I'm-a working on something-a."
Fiona walked into the kitchen, and could smell the tomato being cooked over a pot.
Christina's head jerked around, "Lord-a-… You're-a not lord-a Sonic."
Fiona felt her mouth go dry as she realized how much energy left Christina's body. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Whisper with her pale mask, leaning against the chair.
"Uh… Christina, Sonic… Well…. Sonic didn't…." It felt wrong to say. He seemed so invincible. Maybe he did actually make it. Fiona tried to crush those hopes. She was old enough to stop being so naïve. Not every story ended happily, "Sonic didn't make it."
The words hung there. Christina blinked for a moment, "He won't-a be here for-a dinner?" She blinked in confusion.
Fiona gulped, but Whisper spoke first, "He's dead?"
Fiona nodded, "I saw the Death Egg explode with him on it." The words tasted so bitter to her. Fiona gulped as Whisper walked over to her. Whisper looked at her for a moment, before pushing past her.
Fiona sat down, "I don't suppose you could fix me something to eat. Maybe some wine?"
Christina seemed distant, but she nodded.
Fiona enjoyed a meat-sauced pasta with a nice red wine. It all taste so… bland. Fiona felt awful, and even the food wasn't a comfort. The wine did a bit of the trick, but it still didn't make Fiona feel two good.
As Fiona prepared to leave, she saw Whisper walking outside, carrying a rope in one hand. Fiona had a feeling she knew what the wolf was going to do. Fiona reached out to grab the Wolf's hand. When she did, Whisper jerked around.
"Please don't. We… we need all hands on deck." Fiona could feel the hypocrisy in her voice.
Whisper didn't seem to notice. She jerked her hand away, "I must do this. It is long over due." She trudged away, sulking.
Fiona felt her throat tighten. She walked back to the barracks, where she found a new sight of a mob of soldiers, walking towards the exit, only being stopped by the young prince Elias Acorn.
"Please, Consider what we are doing? We need everyone to stop Eggman." Elias demanded, before proclaiming, "How are we going to win this without you all?"
"Win?" One of the soldiers laughed, "We've thoroughly lost. You lost your sister, we lost the hedgehog, we got nothin." He was a grey rabbit, and clearly didn't have any confidence.
"Come on people, put a little pride in the kingdom we fought for, please!" Elias pleaded, "I need you all to save our future!"
"We're leaving! I'd advise you do the same, unless you want to be the king of rubble." The rabbit stated firmly, almost angrily and pushed past Elias.
The rabbit was joined by probably a couple hundred men, all ready to leave. They began to shuffle as Elias pleaded, "PLEASE, Stick with me!"
Fiona saw the white fox, Gewis, shake his head, and return to his post.
Elias slumped down in the crowd, hopelessly. He wasn't exactly a well respected leader.
Fiona saw the shuffle come to a stop, and she felt a wave of uneasiness come from the crowd of deserting soldiers.
Fiona felt a harsh presence behind her, and she turned around slowly.
The Wolverine stood up oh his hind legs, standing proud with an agitated expression on his face, "What is happening here?"
The rabbit gulped and shifted, "We're going away from the war. We're not dying out here for nothing." He seemed shudder as the men behind him moved back.
Johan let out a throat-filled growl, before sighing, "So be it. Leave your uniforms and your weapons. Victors will need them for us to win." Johan growled, before walking back to the larger crowd of soldiers who were watching.
"Win? How, how do you expect to win? We don't have Sonic, We don't have Princess Sally. We don't have anyone special outside of the fox-mutant!" The Rabbit ranted, stomping his foot.
"And you forget yourself." Johan growled before looking over the men, "You all are weak, and pathetic. You have abandoned your will to fight because of two warriors."
"Those "Two Warriors" Were Sonic the Hedgehog and Sally Acorn. They were the two most important people for our kingdom, our tactician and hero!" The Rabbit stomped his foot angrily and pointed a finger up at Johan.
Fiona realized that he had been baited into an argument. She looked back and saw King Max wheeling forward with three mobians with papers and pens. This was a massive stage.
"And they were not there in those trenches when you were fighting. They did not repel the machine hoards. That was no single man's doing." Johan growled as the crowd slowly began to nodded their heads at him, "Those "heroes" were not there, fighting off the enemy ships from the ground. This land is vast, and full of capable warriors who will bring that miserable fool to his knees!"
He was right, that most of the mobians were regular people without special abilities. Fiona felt a strange tingle in her chest. She saw the lemur began to nod her head with a grin.
The rabbit growled, "You are delusional if you think these band of merry men could stop Eggman! He has millions of badniks, and we have people who can't even shoot a rifle right!"
Johan growled down, "You would be wise to remember your place. The fact is that those heroes that you depended, those special warriors who had rare abilities, have done nothing to aid this kingdom."
Johan faced the rest of the men, "You all have fought harder than they ever have. They simply served to deny these men of the kingdom a chance to prove themselves, like dirt in the eyes of the magnificent beast, forcing it to slumber while the world grows around it!"
The Rabbit shrunk down as Johan raised his arms, "But Now, your heroes are gone, dead or against us. Your families, home and way of life are going to be destroyed if you do not act. And that is good."
The men all suddenly jerked up, confused. Fiona thought of Frederick… Alister. She felt her throat tighten. He said it was good? why? She didn't feel good at all.
"We've lost, we have no power in this, we have no heroes to save us." The rabbit mumbled up at Johan, "There's nothing left to fight for."
"There's nothing left to fight for? Those are the words of the weak and cowardly men. No, Now there is nothing to keep this kingdom asleep from its true power!" Johan snarled, "This land is vast, rich and lively! This kingdom is a sleeping giant, and It will RISE TO SHAKE THE WORLD!" Johan threw his hands up, as if he were holding the world.
Fiona felt her very soul get lifted from his words. He somehow inspired her heart into beating in excitement.
"The Egg man believes himself to have won, let him, for his arrogance will be his end!" Johan shouted at the crowd as they began nod slowly, "We will not allow him or anyone to destroy what we have built!"
"NO!" The crowd of Soldiers cheered violently.
"We will not allow him to take from us anymore!" Johan barked at them with a smigget of pride. Fiona's mind went to Alister. If she left…
"NO!"
"So let the cowards go." Johan growled in a low voice and the crowd died down quickly, "For they only bring their fear to our ranks!"
The crowd turned to the deserters who now looked nervous. The Crowd's apathy had turned to anger at the fleeing men. The men shifted nervously.
Johan growled, "Now run off, cowards, as I would not soil my name in your presence."
The deserters soldiers looked like they were having second thoughts. The pressure on them was almost tangible as the rest of the remaining soldiers gave their scowl at the deserters. Some stopped and turned to face Johan, "Now… We could stay-"
"Begone from my sight!" Johan barked, "We have no need for cowards in our ranks!"
The deserters looked genuinely afraid, probably because of the social standing, but they left. Fiona noticed King Max talking with the scribes, telling them something. The scribes seemed to nod and walk off.
Then Max wheeled himself away, not even bothering to acknowledge them… or maybe not wanting them to see him.
Johan growled, "Now, we make ready for war! Go, drill yourselves for the coming battle! Prepare your weapons!"
Fiona saw the men come alive, filled with a hope that she found herself questioning suddenly. She knew the charismatic types, and while Johan wasn't the one she thought of ideally, she knew that they didn't always have a plan.
She thought of all the things that might give them a win. Outside of himself, Fiona didn't see how Johan could bring them out of this. Unless… he was serious about the mobians fighting for themselves.
Fiona felt… off by it. She was ready to leave a few moments ago, but as she began to count the rifles, and fiddle with a bullet over at the storehouses.
"I just want to see him! Please, let me see my boy!" a blue bear begged as two forms passed Fiona. She looked up and saw the blue bear and the white sheep walking towards the bullet boxes on the shelves.
"I told you to stay away from me!" the sheep shouted at him, continuing her march.
"I have a right to know my kid!" The blue bear growled, his fists becoming very tight and aggressive, "YOU CAN'T KEEP HIM FROM ME!"
The Sheep staggered back and Fiona got up, getting ready to intervene. The sheep definitely looked nervous, but she stood her ground, "He isn't "your kid"! He's a child that you made and had no interaction with at all!"
"I want to interact with him!" The bear growled, "I want to see my son!"
"Stay away from me and Charlie. If you get near him, I will do everything in my power to make your life miserable. He doesn't need the confusion of dealing with you." The sheep growled, and the bear backed off, looking wounded.
Not everything seemed to be so happy. Fiona saw the sheep look at her, before turning away and walking towards the shelves.
"So… Uh, wanna talk about it?" Fiona asked cautiously.
"No." The sheep grumbled, not taking her eyes off the box of ammo.
Fiona finished up counting up the ammo, and wrote down the number on a little sheet of paper. She walked outside and went back to Sonic's manor. The perk of being friends with a…. dead noble.
Fiona slumped down on her bed after enjoying a meal from Christina, who refused to leave. Fiona had to admire her fortitude if nothing else. That was impressive. So Fiona laid in bed and thought about everything that had gone by. The weight of what could have been once again seemed to press on her chest.
Sonic was there, and he had dated her. She had been so vengeful, so angry that she hadn't realized what was in front of her. He was… rash, and impulsive, but everything she would have needed. He would have been exciting, and she would have gotten more out of life… like fulfillment.
She shook herself, and sat up. Fiona could beat herself up later.
A rock struck her window, and Fiona looked outside.
She saw the Green Hedgehog tapping his foot, annoyed. Fiona got up and walked down the dark hallway. Of course she'd forgotten about meeting with him. They were supposed to run off together. Fiona found herself feeling heavy in the feet. She walked down the hallways and came to a realization.
She had never really stuck around for anything. If things got tough, she could simply leave. No one would blame her.
"I will protect you from the lions of the desert and the wolves of the mountain"
Fiona growled to herself. Alright, God, if you're listening. I'm trusting you, you'd better follow through.
She stepped outside and saw the green hedgehog give her a smug smile, "Well, babe, you certainly took your sweet time. Powdering your nose?"
Fiona sighed, and stopped in front of Scourge. He grinned at her and held up his hands. Fiona didn't jump in them.
"Come on, Let's blast before they wake up and realize I'm here." Scourge prodded, trying to sound sly and calm, but with a bit of agitation.
Fiona squeezed her eyes shut, knowing she was about to make a stupid decision. But maybe they both could benefit from it, "I'm not going with you."
Scourge looked a little shocked, then disappointed, then annoyed, "Why do you keep doing this to me? I keep stretching a limb out for you, but you keep swatting me away at the last minute."
"This kingdom… it needs me. It needs all the help it can get." Fiona sighed, before growling, "I'm going to commit to something, for the first time in my life."
"You're gonna die in some field for nothing." Scourge growled before glancing up and down her form, "A waste of a hot body."
Fiona ignored that last comment, "I won't die if you're there." She tried to give him a sly smile, and wrapped her arms around his neck, pushing her chest against his, " You could keep me safe."
Scourge looked down at her chest before shaking his head, "Why would I stay and help this kingdom? Shit's doomed to fail."
"Not if you help. You could be the hero they need. We could actually do some good in the world." Fiona pleaded, dropping the sly look, but accidently sounding desperate.
Scourge blinked at her, before chuckling. Then that chuckle turned into a laugh, "That's a good one. When did you become such a jokester?"
"I'm serious, Scourge. You could be their hero, not just another bad guy coming in and out of focus. You could become the version of Sonic you were always meant to be!" Fiona pleaded
"NO!" Scourge barked at her, making Fiona step back. Right… that was a sore spot for him, "I'm more than Sonic ever will be! I've always been more than he'll ever be! I'll always be more than he'll ever be! I'm the Scourge of this world! Now choose, You wanna die here, or go with me?"
Fiona gulped as she stood there. She might have had a chance, "I'm staying, for my nephew, my brother. I'm going to fix everything I've done wrong. You can-"
"Shut up! I'm out of here. Enjoy your last few days." Scourge swatted away a hand she have moved to brush his cheek, and ran off.
Fiona allowed her head to slump. She was alone… but she could make the most of it. Fiona's eyes returned with new determination. She would not mess up again.
/*-*/
Johan marched off, leaving the soldiers inspired and well in spirit. They needed to be inspired first. Johan also got to shame the deserters, which made him feel rather good.
But not everything was well. He knew that there was one who wasn't there, and Johan knew why. She had gone to kill herself.
Johan caught the wolf's scent, and began to track her. He followed the scent into a forest where he saw the rope, fashioned into a noose. The wolf stood on a branch, and seemed to pant in fear. She was absolutely afraid of dying.
Still, he saw her fist balled. She seemed to know what must be done, but did not have the strength to do it. Johan felt a temptation to pull her off the branch and let her dangle. But he would need the best skills he could get.
"Stop being a fool." Johan growled at her. The wolf's hesitation was enraging for him. He grew frustrated by a lack of commitment to either living or dying.
"I must do this. I have failed twice." The wolf whined, "I should not be alive."
Johan was inclined to agree. Not that she had failed, but that others had died from her failure, and she had lived.
"You have failed twice?" Johan cocked his head.
"Yes… I led men and women off of father's mountain to go fight in the war I oh so wanted." The wolf sighed as she raised her foot to drop off the branch, "I led them into an ambush, and fled when we were encircled. This is my penance."
Johan weighed her words carefully. She was a coward, fleeing her men in their time of need. Johan hated cowards with every fiber of his being. Still… she had many useful skills, and it would be a waste to see such a valuable set of skills.
"It's not penance." Johan growled, "We expel cowards. They hang themselves to prove us right. If you are a coward, then jump. Or you might listen to my words, and take vengeance on your failure."
The wolf stopped her foot, and watched him carefully.
Johan nodded, "If you die here, you do nothing to punish those who shamed you. If it appeases you to die, then so be it. Or you can join me, and make that miserable fool pay for everyone he's taken from you."
The wolf remained quiet.
"You have skills which I want. After we punish the Egg Man, then you may die. But not until he is at our feet and begs for mercy." Johan growled up at her.
Her mask made face difficult to read, but Johan could smell the shift in her emotions, "Very well." She grumbled, and removed the rope from her neck. She descended down the tree and bowed her head, "I will serve you until my former chief has been avenged."
Johan nodded, "There is much work for us to do. Your skills and power will be needed." He led her back to the camp. It was a start for improvement.

Alright, I'm back and, and better than… maybe better than ever. Who knows. I hope distance has made the heart grow fonder.
I've decided that I am going to change the naming scheme to "Arc-1" instead of individualized names for the chapters. I will begin a conversion in April for all of the chapters.
Sonic is now trapped and is being tortured on a regular basis. Fiona has made a serious commitment she may come to regret. Johan now has the keys to the kingdom, and commands a great deal of respect.
Please leave a review and tell me what you thought. I will respond in the next chapter, or you can send me a PM and I will response as soon as I can.
