The Alien Hero

Chapter Eight

The Right to Lead

xXx

Class 1A leaned forward with bated breath, expecting the worst. Another quirk test? Pop quiz?

"It's time to pick a class representative."

"YES!" Uraraka cheered. "Finally normal school stuff!"

"You said it!" Hagakure agreed. "Can I do it?"

"No way, losers!" Bakugo snapped. "I'll do it!"

"Count me in!" Kirishima called up.

Nearly every student, with the exception of Lucy and Izuku, all yelled and talked over each other to vie for the coveted position. Normally, the position was just a chore and didn't mean much. But UA was special. Class Reps and other officers got more attention from Pros and were more likely to get internships and job offers!

"Should I?' Midoriya thought meekly. Sure it was a prestigious position to be in, if you wanted to go Pro, but he wasn't sure he could handle the burden of leadership. He almost raised his hand, but decided against it.

"EVERYONE!" Iida shouted over the chaos. "WE MUST DECIDE THIS FAIRLY AS A CLASS! It's a big decision, so we mustn't choose rashly!"

"Says the guy with his hand up the highest…" Kaminari said sarcastically. Regardless, the class organized itself.

"Now then, I propose a voting system!" Iida stated. "Everyone here gets two votes to use, for anyone in the class. This includes themselves, so they must pick at least one student other than themselves."

"That makes sense." Asui figured. "But couldn't you vote for the same person twice?"

"No, you must choose differently for each vote." Iida answered. He took a stack of paper from his own desk. "Now then, let's begin!" Meanwhile, Aizawa took a nap.

Everyone received two slips of paper to vote on. Midoriya twirled his pen thoughtfully…Yaoyorozu was a potential pick. She's cool headed, intelligent, and always seemed to have the right answer.

Something tapped him from behind!

"Psst! Midoriya!"

"Oh! What's up, Lucy?" Midoriya asked politely.

"I dunno anybody!" Lucy whispered. "So who should I pick?"

"I can't tell you who to pick!" he hissed back.

"C'mon, please?"

"No!"

"Pretty please?"

"No, just…pick someone you trust!"

Lucy leaned back, crewing her eraser. She began to write. Izuku Mid-

"Lucy, no." Manny buzzed in her ear. "Don't vote for the target."

All the way from base, Manny was acting as support, watching and listening through the various devices attached to Lucy. And thanks to Eraserhead, they had an inside receiver for their transmissions.

On the corner of her paper, she wrote the letter Y.

"Because he's harder to watch in a position of authority. Vote for yourself, and someone you don't think will win!"

She looked around the room. Someone who she doesn't think will win? She looked ahead of Midoriya, at the anger-prone boy she teamed up with the other day.

Smirking, she voted accordingly. When Iida collected and counted the votes, they were as follows.

Midoriya: 14

Yaoyorozu: 9

Iida: 4

Bakugo: 3

Lucy: 2

Kaminari: 1

Jirou: 1

Tokoyami: 1

Aoyama: 1

Ashido: 1

Todoroki: 1

Ojiro: 1

Sero: 1

"HOW DID I GET FOURTEEN VOTES?" Midoriya yelled in shock. Meanwhile, Lucy's point of view was on display at Mt. Rushmore's hidden plumber base, with Hisashi watching carefully.

"Dammit, wanted to avoid that." He sighed with a hand on his hip. He didn't want to try and hinder his son's success, but alas.

"He seems to have made an impression, Magister." Manny scratched his head. "He didn't even vote for himself. See?"

Sure enough, Lucy-cam caught sight of Midoriya's votes. Neither were for himself.

Hisashi was torn between pride and frustration. "Well, can't help it now." They kept watching the live feed.

"Alright you idiots!?" Bakugo raged. "Who voted for him!? Come clean!"

"Bro, who didn't vote for him?" Kaminari joked.

"Did you honestly think we'd vote for you?" Sero added.

Hisashi set his mouth in a line. "I know that kid. He and Izu were friends back in the day."

"Not anymore, looks like." Manny commented. "Guy's got an attitude. Think he's part Appoplexian?"

"Nah, no whiskers," Hisashi joked. "And I know his parents. Both human."

Meanwhile, back at UA, Iida pinched the bridge of his nose. "Only four votes…"

"Did you not vote for yourself?" Sato asked curiously. Mina giggled mischievously. She knew exactly who to pick. Cry a river, Bakugo!

Aizawa woke up from his nap. "Right, so do we have a class rep and vice?"

Midoriya gulped and stood up. He and Yaoyorozu walked up.

Aizawa cocked an eyebrow at the boy, remembering the morning's antics. "Seriously?"

Midoriya nodded nervously. Yaoyorozu was impassive, yet focused.

"Right." he sighed. "Midoriya is Class President. Yaoyorozu is Vice President. That was easy."

"I-I…uh, thank you a-a-all!" Midoriya stammered to the class. "I'll d-do my best! Sensei…is there anything…"

"Nothing else on the agenda," Aizawa answered, sinking back into his sleeping bag. "Usually this takes longer, so free study time for the rest of the day."

Outside…

"Yawn…not a bad gig so far." Vonaq muttered to himself. Across from the gate to UA, the Merlinisapien lounged invisibly in the trees, watching the media wait for the UA Barrier to shut down.

His job was simple. Track Izuku Midoriya's location on foot, wherever he goes outside of home or school. Following an alien like XLR8 or Ghostfreak was tricky, so he'd simply call in a teleport every time he changed locations.

After receiving the security specs from Aizawa (it irritated him to no end that he couldn't hack their system), he studied it from every angle. It was…ingenious. Countless sensors, defensive walls that could erect anywhere on campus, constant communication with individual ID cards. If anyone broke in, they'd know immediately. For a level 3 planet, the security really was top-notch.

Not to mention the trained heroes patrolling the halls.

"I doubt even I could sneak in undetected." He muttered. He was impressed. And somewhat annoyed. "Rookie sludgepuppy gets all the fun." He kept watching the media…

Wait.

Who's that?

He watched a slender, blue haired man walk to the gate. He was slightly hunched over…with a…hand on his face?

He pressed his ear piece. "Magister…I've got something."

Lunchrush Cafeteria

"Guys …I'm really worried about the class rep thing." Midoriya shared. He sat with several classmates and friends, including Ashido, Iida, Lucy and Uraraka. "I don't know that I'm really qualified."

"Sure you are!" Ashido assured him. "Remember battle training? You were so cool! I would never have passed that one without you!"

"Indeed!" Iida agreed. "Your quick thinking and strategy will make you an excellent leader. I'm sure of it. That's why I voted for you."

"Wait, you did?" Midoriya yelped. "You too, Ash-...Mina-san?"

"He he, yep!" She grinned.

"Me three!" Uraraka chimed in. "What about you, Lucy?"

"Heh? Oh, uhhh…" the blond thrummed her temple. Then she shrugged. "Somebody else. Sorry, dude. No hard feelings?"

"Not at all," Midoriya answered. "I don't know, I just…it's just a lot. Didn't you want the job, Iida?"

"Yeah. I mean you do look the part!" Uraraka said as she chewed. "Cause of the glasses."

As they talked, Lucy winced a bit from the sudden chatter in her radio. "Lucy, stay alert. We have a possible hostile outside the school."

"That's not really a good reason to vote for someone…" Midoriya sweatdropped.

"Wanting the job and being qualified are two very different things." Iida answered honestly. "Watching the Iida family agency at work has taught me that much."

"Agency?" Midoriya asked. "What does your family do?"

"Oh…it's nothing really." Iida waved off nervously. Lucy wasn't paying attention anymore, instead tapping her chopsticks together rhythmically.

"You know, I've been wondering something about you." Uraraka mentioned. With something of a gleam in her eye, she asked. "Are you a rich kid?"

"Huh? Well I…" Iida was caught off guard. "Well, I didn't want to be treated any differently."

"That's ok!" Ashido said kindly. "It doesn't matter to us!" Midoriya and Uraraka nodded in agreement.

Iida sighed. "Alright then. You see, the Iida family has been heroes for generations. It literally runs in our blood."

"I KNEW IT!" Midoriya said excitedly. "Are you related to Ingenium, by any chance?"

"Hm!" Iida sat up proudly. "He's my elder brother!"

"NO WAY!" He and Uraraka half-shouted. "That's amazing!" Mina added.

"Yes, I only wish to be half the hero my brother Tensei is." Iida smiled a bit, looking at Midoriya. "But you? I'd say you're further along than I, Midoriya. You have my respect."

All three of them stared at the usually stoic boy. Tenya got uncomfortable.

"Er…something on my face?"

"Wow…I think that's the first time I've seen you smile!" Uraraka said. Iida cocked his head to the side.

"What are you talking about? I smile all the time."

"You literally don't," Mina giggled. "But you should! It suits you!" As they talked Midoriya kept silent, thinking intently.

'Wow…' Midoriya thought. 'He looks up to his brother like how I look up to All Might!'

Maybe he could do this? Be not just a hero, but a leader?

"Thanks Iida, that means a l-"

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!

"WARNING! LEVEL THREE SECURITY BREACH!"

All the students froze at the announcement, then started to panic! Everyone began rushing out of their seats and to the exit.

"PLEASE EXIT THE PREMISES IN AN ORDERLY FASHION."

"Iida!" Midoriya yelled over the noise. "What's a level three security breach!?"

"It means there's an intruder of some kind!" He rattled off, having memorized the emergency systems. "Someone broke in!"

"PLEASE EXIT THE PREMISES IN AN ORDERLY FASHION."

They all rushed for the exit, making it out to the hall. But the hallways were cramped from the sudden rush of students! It was a gridlock!

"This isn't good…oof!" Midoriya was accidentally elbowed in the gut. He got squished against the glass window. Then he saw exactly who triggered the alarm.

"It's the press! From before!" Midoriya called out. "Guy's, it's just the press!"

But he couldn't be heard! And he couldn't see anybody!

"PLEASE EXIT THE PREMISES IN AN ORDERLY FASHION."

'What do I do?'

xXx

While most students were panicking at the apparent emergency, Lucy had other plans. She turned into a puddle and wove through the distracted student body and into the ventilation system. Elsewhere, she popped out of the grate, her disguise abandoned.

"Ok, which way!?" The Lenopan gurgled. She stood tall, her alien physique showing through with antennae and bulbous eyes.

"Unsure, but likely out of sight." Vonaq reported in her ear. "Be careful. And don't let him touch you!"

"Would it matter?" She asked as she ran through the halls. She morphed into a chair as a few heroes crossed her path. Once they were gone, she continued her pursuit. "I'm a liquid. Liquids don't decay."

"Do not risk it." Vonaq warned. "Quirks are unpredictable, so tread lightly."

She kept running, coming across an opened door. With a crumbling handle!

She caught up. "Found something. It's a records room, they…" She stopped, spotting someone down the hall! "Gotcha!"

"Lucy, wait!" Manny tried to warn her, but she acted too fast! She shot her arm forward, easily stretching 30 feet away to snag the interloper!

"Got him! Easy as AAAH!" She cried in pain! Her arm let go! As it returned to her, her limb was going gray and crumbling! And it kept going up her arm!

Without a second's hesitation, she separated the limb from the rest of her body. The mud dried up and turned to dust in seconds on the floor. From the snub, she regrew her arm and felt it tenderly.

"Ok. That was a bit scary." She looked up. "I can still-"

"Don't bother, he's gone." Manny reported. "Motion sensors aren't being triggered anymore. Looks like he hitched a ride."

"Then I'm out of here." She gurgled, turning to liquid. She collected her dead mass and slithered into the vents again.

xXx

"PLEASE EXIT THE PREMISES IN AN ORDERLY FASHION."

"I have to do something!" Midoriya grunted, triggering the watch. Anything too big would make the crowd worse! But anything small wouldn't get the attention he needed!

"PLEASE EXIT THE PREMISES IN AN ORDERLY FASHION." the PA system rang again and again.

"I know!" Midoriya called at it in frustration. "If only someone could…that's it!" He turned and slammed the dial!

FLASH!

"Eh? Midoriya?" Iida called out, blinded by the flash. On the glass, techorganic black and green goo crept up to the ceiling, sporting a glowing circular eye.

"Time for a special announcement!" He shot towards a speaker, slipping inside the wiring and spreading himself out across the entire system. He hit multiple firewalls, blocking him from accessing the security protocol. But he had the only function he needed right now!

The sound system!

"ATTENTION, UA STUDENTS!" Upgrade blared through the entire school. Though in alien form, Midoriya's voice was highly recognizable, just filtered electronically. He cut the other announcement out and spoke directly.

"THE EMERGENCY IS NOT A THREAT. IT IS JUST THE PRESS OUTSIDE. WE ARE NOT IN ANY DANGER! PLEASE CALM DOWN, GET A HOLD OF YOURSELVES, AND WALK TO THE EXIT!"

"No way…Midoriya?" Jirou said in amazement.

"You heard him!" Iida called out. "This is UA Academy! We must have a sense of dignity in the face of adversity!"

Students noticed the change in tone immediately and started to take it down a notch. And Class 1A recognized Midoriya in a snap and did their part to reassure those around them.

"NO PUSHING NO SHOVING!" Upgrade went a step further and formed heads out of the speakers to see the crowd, helping where he could. "YOU THERE, HELP THAT GIRL UP! SHE GOT TRAMPLED. HEY! WITH THE BLUE SPIDER EYES! NO NEED TO OGLE, JUST KEEP MOVING! GREAT JOB!"

This kept up for a bit until every student was safely out of the building. As they saw the press being escort by police, things had fully calmed down. Midoriya felt…pretty good about this! He took charge and made sure everyone got out safely!

Just like a hero!

"Excuse me, Mr. Midoriya?"

Upon hearing his name from across the building, Upgrade looked through a speaker, seeing…a mouse? In a suit?

"This is Principal Nezu." The mouse introduced himself. "If you would be so kind, please exit the UA soundboard?"

The Principal?

At once, Upgrade flowed out of the speaker in Nezu's office, recalling every nanite of his body to one spot. The Omnitrix blared red, changing him back to human.

Midoriya waved his hands nervously. "Sorry sir! I didn't mean to break any rules! I just-"

"You assessed the situation and acted accordingly." Nezu smiled kindly. "Admirable qualities all around. Though I would prefer the security system function as intended."

"R-Right. Sorry, I just thought-"

"Tea?" The Principal handed him a teacup, inviting him to sit. "I would like to have a proper look at All Might's successor, you know."

"Wait, you know?" Midoriya yelled in shock. Nezu sat him down.

"Yes. I do make it my business to know things." Nezu laughed. "Drink up!"

Midoriya looked at his tea and took a sip. It was…delicious!

"Now," Nezu said cheerfully. "Please note for next time, breaching UA systems in any way is punishable by expulsion."

Midoriya sat ramrod straight, his mouth suddenly dry.

"However, given you didn't know and had genuine need given the situation, I will let it slide. Just know for next time please! You are the class representative, after all?"

"Yes, sir."

"You must set an example for your peers." Nezu advised. "As a leader myself, I would advise you to model for the rest of your class. That means holding yourself to a higher standard than the average."

"G-Got it…" Midoriya answered fearfully. Got it. Never doing that again.

"Thank you. It's truly incredible." Nezu admitted. "No one should be able to do that. With any quirk. May I see it?"

"Oh…" Midoriya showed the quirked animal the Omnitrix. Still red from his transformation. "It has a time limit. Sorry."

"No need to worry," Nezu said through sips of tea. "I must say, your potential is staggering. And I don't tell students that often. How many forms can you use?"

"Uh, twelve right now." Midoriya answered. "I started with 10."

"I see." Nezu stepped onto the coffee table between them, examining the device. The dial went green with a ding. "Fascinating. Truly unique."

Izuku started to sweat under the Principal's gaze. He knew that the Principal had genius level intellect. Would he be found out?

"Well! I suppose the emergency is over by now!" Nezu said cheerfully, letting the watch go. "Head down to home room please. And let Aizawa-san know I said hello."

"Right. Thank you sir."

Nezu smiled to himself as Midoriya left. Of course, Nezu knew technology when he saw it, even if it was related to a quirk.

And that was no quirk. Nor was it anything he had ever seen before.

"Quite fascinating." He said to himself. As interesting as this mystery was, he had more pressing matters to attend to.

Namely, the gaping hole in their once pristine barrier.

xXx

Hisashi Midoriya sipped his coffee as he entered their control room in Mt Rushmore. He came back as soon as he heard the report from Vonaq.

UA was attacked.

He relieved Manny and reviewed the video feed from Lucy. She found the attacker and attempted to apprehend, but was hurt by his quirk as he escaped. He was initially pissed that Lucy left his son, but he saw why. Her logic was sound, he was just overprotective.

Vonaq also managed to document the attack on the barrier. He watched as the video played, showing a lanky man put his hand on the metal wall and turn it to dust in seconds. If Lucy wasn't trained so well, she might have died from the encounter.

It's unclear what the invader wanted, but it was likely he had some form of information from their records. About the Omnitrix? Or another purpose?

In any event, he had a solution. A backup plan, if you will.

And Lucy was the key.

xXx

A couple days later…

The door to homeroom creaked open as Midoriya entered. It was early, just as he and Yaoyorozu agreed. "Yaoyorozu-san?"

"Here, Midoriya." His vice-rep was already inside, passing out the daily schedules to each desk. "I went ahead and got started, hope you don't mind."

"N-Not at all! I'll clean the whiteboard." He got to it, spraying the board and talking simultaneously. "It's rescue training today, so we won't spend too much time here today."

"True."

The morning went on, with students filling in over time. Iida was always early and ended up helping the reps prepare for the day. Even without the job, he was still diligent. Others filed in at different times. Bakugo was at least 10 minutes early while Kaminari had dashed in with 40 seconds to spare. But at least everyone was seated.

"Morning." Aizawa drawled as he walked in. "I hope you're all prepared for today." He set up at the podium. "Today, we'll be taking a small trip to a special facility, built specifically for rescue exercises. This is an all day event, so be prepared for a long day of training."

"Yes Sensei." The class chanted. Aizawa clicked a remote, making metal briefcases slide from the side wall.

"You are also authorized to use your hero gear for this training. Though some of your gear may be ill-suited for rescue operations. Be rational." Aizawa jerked his thumb to the door. "Suit up. Be on the bus in 15 minutes. Hop to it."

xXx

"Man, I am stoked for today!" Kirishima grinned on the bus. The whole class was dressed to the nines in their hero gear. "No classes, no math, no English, just hardcore hero work!"

"I wonder if there will be a water zone?" Asui asked. "Then I can really show off my skills."

"Right? Don't know how I'll be able to do this though…" Kaminari scratched his head sheepishly. "Can't really shock people to safety."

"Have you considered…not using your quirk then?" Jirou asked sarcastically.

MIdoriya laughed with the others. Being voted Class Rep really changed his perspective about the class. After his experience at Middle School, he didn't expect for people to think much of him, despite his quirk.

But at least 14 people thought he was good enough to represent them. Maybe Mina and the others were right?

And Mina accepted him, even after finding out he was quirkless for so long. Maybe…this was ok.

"Midoriya." Asui said, having said his name twice now.

"OH, sorry!" Midoriya snapped out of his thoughts. Tsuyu Asui sat next to him, her face blank. "What is it, Asui?"

"You can call me Tsu," she replied. "I tend to speak what's on my mind, so I hope I don't offend you."

"Ok, what is it?" he asked.

"Your quirk. It's a little weird, isn't it?"

"Ah, well…" he looked across from him. Mina had caught wind of the question. "I suppose. Took me a while to figure it out."

"I bet." Asui agreed. Meanwhile, Mina took the small hint. Midoriya doesn't want others to know he's a late bloomer. Grades be damned, Ashido knew people. And if Midoriya didn't want to share, that was ok.

"Kinda reminds me of All Might."

Midoriya jumped at the comment. "O-O-Oh, um, why's t-t-that?"

"At the quirk test," Asui recalled. "You turned into that four armed guy in the ball throw. It was really powerful. Very All Might-ish."

Now Lucy was listening in, from the other end of the bus. Frog-girl must be talking about his Tetramand transformation. Was it stronger than it should've been?"

"Yeah, but that's not his only thing!" Kirishima said on Izuku's other side. "All Might can't turn into a bug you know!"

"Yeah, but I'm not on All Might's level." Midoriya quickly said. "Not even close."

"Yeah, but still! Your quirk is the most amazing transformation type I've ever seen!" Kirishima complimented. He extended his own arm, sharpening it into a rocky texture. "My hardening is useful and decent in a fight, but it's not flashy at all."

"I disagree!" Midoriya gushed. "Your quirk is amazing! You're like a perfect shield! You'll definitely go pro!"

"Gee, thanks Midoriya!"

"Hmph! My quirk is a perfect balance of flashy and strong!" Aoyama sparkled next to Mina as he boasted.

"Yeah, but it makes your tummy hurt like crazy right?" Ashido asked innocently. Aoyama gave a slight deadpan at her undercut.

"No no, if anybody is going to the top ranks," Kirishima added. "It's Bakugo and Todoroki!"

A few seats down, Bakugo grunted as he looked up, then looked away again. Todoroki was taking a nap and didn't notice.

"Yeah, but he's super angry all the time," Asui said bluntly. "So he'll never be that popular."

BAM!

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?" Bakugo roared, slamming his hand on the support bar as he erupted. "I'M GONNA KICK YOUR ASS!"

"You see?" Asui ribbeted.

"You know," Kaminari said slyly. "We've only just met you, but it's pretty obvious that your personality is basically hot garbage."

"YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THE DAY YOU APPLIED TO THIS SCHOOL YOU LOSER! I'LL KILL YOU!"

Meanwhile, Midoriya had a mini-crisis as he saw the events unfold. Bakugo was being teased? What planet did he land on?

"We're getting close," Aizawa called from the front. "Sit down and get ready."

"Yes sir!/Whatever!"

xXx

"Welcome!" a warbly voice called. "To my rescue playground!"

Meeting the class was a hero in a large, puffy space suit! She had a black helmet with white eyes painted over the glass. This was…

"Thirteen!" Uraraka said in glee. "I love her! She's a rescue specialist!"

"Right, and her quirk is amazing!" Midoriya commented. He was equally as excited, if not more. Then he remembered he was leading his class. He composed himself as they walked forward, but still wrote notes into his pocket journal. Gotta stay professional.

Ahead of them was a large building, competing in size with UA itself. The large doors opened widely to let the group in.

"Wooooooaaaaaaaahhh…" the class awed and oohed at the sight. The entire interior was filled with various scenarios and natural areas. Crumbling landslides, a shipwreck, a conflageration, you name it!

"This…is the Unforeseen Simulation Joint!" Thirteen announced. "But you may call it the USJ, for short!"

"Like Universal Studios Japan?" Sero said curiously. Several others thought the same thing.

"Where's All Might?" Aizawa asked Thirteen as he took his spot next to her. "Let me guess, he triple booked an interview?"

"Actually," Thirteen said softly, holding up three fingers. "He's at his limit. He's resting at the teacher's lounge. He'll try and show up at the end."

Aizawa sighed. "That man is the height of irresponsibility." Louder, he addressed the class. "Time's wasting, come on into the plaza."

Thirteen waited as they approached, still in awe of their environment. "Now if I may have your attention? Thank you. I have a few points to share with you all before we begin training. Or three. Maybe four?"

The class listened, slightly perturbed by the Space Hero.

"As many of you know, my quirk, Black Hole," she flicked open one of her finger caps on her glove. "Allows me to suck in anything into my fingertips and turn it to nothingness. The vacuum can grab and tear through anything I wish."

"Yeah, and you've used it to save hundreds of lives!" Midoriya blurted out. So much for professional. "If not thousands!"

"This is true," Thirteen admitted. "But my quirk is just as capable of taking a life as saving one."

That got true silence from her audience.

"As a matter of fact," Thirteen shared. "My quirk has taken lives, without my intention. It took years for me to fully master my power. To save people." She looked up at the class. "Some of you have extremely powerful, flashy quirks. The entrance exam was a prime example of your destructive abilities. Then at your first battle training, you had to use your quirks to fight real people, which limited what you could safely do to stop a villain."

She spoke clearly and understandingly. She knew better than anyone how important control and restraint really was. Bakugo crossed his arms. If he had demonstrated better restraint, he would've won that battle training. Easily. It irritated him to no end, but that was reality.

"So today," she continued. "I challenge you to use your quirks, not to harm, but to save lives! Thank you for your attention!" She gave a small bow, triggering applause from the class.

"Right, let's get started." Aizawa began. "First, we'll split into groups-"

Fwoom

Suddenly, the air got just a tad chillier. A purple, misty swirl appeared on the other end of the plaza. Aizawa turned, sharply inspecting the sudden apparition.

"Is this a part of the exercise?" Lucy asked. They all looked down at the mist.

It was a portal. A lone hand reached out, pulling a form out of the abyss. A single red eye looked out, his face covered by a gray, decayed hand.

A raspy voice seemed to whisper from the intruder. Yet, it was heard all the way from there.

"Come out to play…All Might."

More portals appeared on both sides! People of various shapes and sizes walked out, totalling about 60 intruders! And they looked like they had less than great intentions.

"Sensei!" Midoriya asked fearfully. "What's going on? Is this-"

"Get back!" Aizawa snapped, putting his vented yellow goggles on. He prepared himself for battle! "This is real!"

The last one stepped out. A dark, huge beaked man with an exposed brain stepped through blankly. His muscles seemed to break out of his black skin. The leader, the hand-covered one, looked around curiously.

"These are villains!" Aizawa said. "How did they get in?"

"I don't know!" Thirteen cried. "We have alarms everywhere! Triggers and…they must have prepared for this. This isn't a random attack!"

"Whatever the reason, they made a huge mistake coming here." Aizawa growled. "Kaminari!"

"Y-Yes Sensei?" The blond boy yelped.

"Use your radio to try and call for help. The villains may have jammed our alarm system!"

"Got it!" Kaminari started manipulating the small transmitter on his ear.

"Thirteen, get my kids out of here and get help!" Aizawa stepped out onto the stairs down to the plaza. "I'll hold them off till then."

"Wait, you can't take them alone!" Midoriya cried out. "You're not suited for crowds! You fight using ambush tactics!"

"No good hero is a one-trick pony, kid." Aizawa answered. "You of all people should know that. I leave them to you, Thirteen!"

Immediately, Aizawa leapt down the stairs, using his long gray scarf to swing himself down. Several villains with ranged quirks ran up to meet the underground hero, but their quirks failed!

"Hey! My quirk!"

"Where are my bullets!?"

Aizawa swept upon them in their ignorance, dispatching them quickly and efficiently. Now the villains were cautious, trying to predict who Aizawa was using Erasure on!

"Woah…he's not a pro for nothing." Midoriya muttered. He turned back to the class. "Everyone! Follow Thirteen! We need to leave!"

"Right!" Thirteen herded them to the exit. "This way!"

They all ran for the exit, leaving Eraserhead to handle the villains below.

Almost all.

"Apologies," a purple swirl erupted between them and the exit. "But we cannot allow you to escape. Not until we have achieved our goal."

Billowing out in thick purple smoke, a pair of yellow glowing eyes radiated from the cloud, forming the villain. "I am Kurogiri. And we have invaded this nest of heroes for one thing and one thing alone."

Thirteen shielded the students from the imposing figure, popping the cap off her finger. "And what's this goal of yours?"

"It's quite simple." Kurogiri answered politely. "We seek the head of All Might, rolling across the floor."

Fear gripped all of them, Thirteen included. They were here…to kill All Might?

"Now then…where is he?"

Gamelover41592:

Glad you loved it! Thanks for the review!

Wolfdrake29:

I'll admit, it was personally difficult to write due to my own experiences. Rewrote the whole dialogue several times trying to find the right balance. I'm glad it struck true.

Eraserhead/Midnight/Present Mic hijinks will always be hysterical.

Candlite:

Maybe. But seeing as Ripjaws doesn't wear any obvious clothes here, and the guy was face to face with rows upon rows of teeth, I would think anyone would react the same way. And the girl from before saw him creeping around the drainage system, so it added to the effect. Thanks for the critique!

Djinn:

Thank you!

SonicMax:

Glad you enjoyed! I was worried about whether or not the prank fit Midoriya's character. But given that it was Ghostfreak (with a bit of personality from the infamous Ectonurite), I think it fits.

But it was just too perfect not to put in, even if it fit weirdly. Thanks for the review!
