Barba sent Olivia a quick text, letting her know he had to get one last stop out of the way. It was odd bringing a kid with him at a pickup, but he was stopping at a game shop. "Pick out whatever you like." He didn't know what kids liked these days. Jack had been all about books and computers. And Damon had been more of outside sports and video games. The kid was quick to express his discomfort with just how expensive everything was.

Barba shrugged him off. "Let me worry about all that." While Noah explored his options, Barba stepped aside with the clerk. "Was the bag delivered?"

The clerk nodded. "So far we have half a mil washed. Holidays are coming, the rest should be done in a few days."

"Alright, I'll take what is done now. Once the last three are done, I'll have someone pick it up." Barba kept his eye on the boy. Noah was trying to choose between a game console and a tablet. "Take out whatever I owe you for those items."

"I didn't know you had a teen kid." He voiced it out. Walking around the counter, he crouched down opening a latch on the floor. Pulling the door open, it revealed a safe in the ground. Putting the code in he grabbed the black duffel bag. "Here you go."

"There are certain things I like to keep to myself." Unzipping the bag, he peeked inside and closed it. He knew there was no point in counting the money. Pete had learned the hard way what happened to those that tried to make a fool of him. "Noah you ready?"

"Yeah." Putting the tablet down, he carried the game console over to the counter. "This okay?"

"It is." Grabbing the tablet, he handed it to Noah. "It has been paid for already." Giving the clerk a subtle nod, he grabbed the bag and followed the kid out. "You can ask Damon to help you set it up."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." Tossing the bag into the car, his phone went off. Seeing Olivia's name flashing on the screen, he huffed. "Heading back no-"

'Daddy!'

"Allison?" Panic suddenly rose in him at the sheer sound of her fear-ridden voice. "What's wrong? Where's Liv?"

'They are shooting at us!'

Barba flinched at the sound of shattering glass. Scenarios of what might be happening flashed behind his eyes. "Allison what is going on?! Where are you?!"

'In the car!'

"Where is Olivia?!"

'Sh-she's driving. Daddy, she's hurt.' There was a loud screeching sound, that sounded a lot like tires protesting on a turn. 'There's blood everywhere!'

Snapping his fingers at the boy he urged him to get in the car. "Allison I need to talk to Olivia. Can you put me on speaker?" Some fumbling was heard, before a shaking okay. "Liv?"

'We were ambushed in the mall. They killed Derek and Jesus. I'm fine just a grace. Allison is unharmed.' She sounded out of breath and in pain but remained focused. 'I have two on my tail. I can't shake them, Rafa.'

"Where are you?" He had connected the phone to his car, speeding out of the parking lot and into the street. "Liv?!"

'M-main st. We are passing main and F st.'

"Okay, listen to me carefully." Taking a sharp turn he cut off a few cars. "I need you to head towards Dwight and Euclid."

'I can't shake them!'

"You don't have to. Just head to that location." Barba may appear calm on the outside, but he was a mess on the inside. Rage was brewing at the ones who dared harm what was his. "Liv I need you to try."

'O-okay.'

"Good girl." He glanced at Noah who like his mother was scared. His eyes were wide as he listened to his mother. His hands clutched the door handle. "Do you have a phone?" Noah nodded numbly. "Dial your mom. Allison, I want you to answer the call that comes in. I need to get ahold of Javier."

'Okay.'

Once he was sure Noah had the call, he hung up the one on his side. Reaching across the seats to the glove department, he pulled out his gun.

'Rafa?'

"Olivia and Allison are in trouble."

'What do you need?'

"Gather the best shooters we have. I want 20. Have ten of them take four trucks. She's heading for Dwight and Euclid. Two on her tail. They are shooting rounds into the car. The other ten will meet me at that location. I want five cars barracking the street."

'Do we know who?'

"No." He released a shaky breath. "Javier, she's hurt."

'She's a strong one carnal. She'll be fine.'

"Get it done, I'm almost there."

'Consider it done.'

Moments earlier:

Olivia was startled away from her deep complicated thoughts by the rapid tapping on her door. Opening it cautiously she rolled her eyes playfully at a grinning Allison. "You scared me."

"Sorry, but I wanted to ask you for a favor." The girl mustered the biggest smile she could.

"What is it?"

"Can you come shopping with me today?" She asked. "I need to pick a new dress for Christmas."

Olivia raised a brow. "Don't you have a full month for that?"

"Yes, but I like to beat the last-minute shoppers." Taking the woman's hand, she pleaded with her. "I also need a woman's point of view. And we can get you one too. Preferably one that would leave dad drooling."

"You are impossible something's." Olivia gave in within seconds. "Alright, let's go."

"Yes!"

Time jump:

Stepping into the two-story mall, she held onto Allison's hand. From the moment they stepped out of the house, Olivia has been feeling uneasy. She kept glancing over her shoulder in fear of being watched or followed. Apart from Jesus, Derek had tagged along with her request. The mall was about 15 minutes from the house, which did nothing to calm her nerves.

Looking down at her phone she frowned. Not notifications from any of her teammates or Captain. She had asked Craigen for a check of the surrounding area. To look for anyone that seemed to be watching or following them. Closing the screen, she turned her attention to Allison. "Where do you want to go?"

"There is a boutique at the far end." Allison grinned. "They have wonderful dresses to pick from."

Following the ecstatic teen, she felt that feeling in her stomach begin to grow. 'Why must she pick the one farthest from the exits.' Lagging Allison walk in first, Olivia turned to address the men. "Keep your eyes open. I am getting a bad feeling right now."

Jesus nodded. "Don't worry ma'am."

But she did. All her years in law enforcement had trained her to never ignore her instincts. To always keep her eyes open. Something was about to go down and she was sure Allison and she were going to be stuck in the middle of it.

Olivia should have left when they had a chance. But it was too late now. She sat in one of the chairs placed in front of the changing rooms. For the past hour, all she had been doing was watching Allison try on dress after dress after dress. She never liked shopping, to begin with, and this was just adding to the con side. Looking down at her phone, she huffed at seeing nothing.

"I think this is the one." Allison walked out wearing a light green dress with an open back. "I like this one."

"It fits you well." Olivia tried to be enthusiastic about it, but at this point, all the dresses looked the same to her. "Is that the one you're taking?"

"Ye-"

Jesus busted into the room, gun drawn and out of breath. "We need to go now!" Grabbing Allison by the hand, he led them out of the boutique and into the mall's hallway. Wrapping his arm around her shoulder, he placed a hand over the girl's head and kept her down. "Don't look up, just keep going."

Olivia grabbed his secondary gun, taking up the front of the two. "Where's the car?"

"Still parked outside." Jesus yelled over the commotion. "It's just me."

"What's going on?" Allison demanded at the two of them. Looking around to catch a glimpse of something, anything that told her what was happening. All she saw was mayhem. People running for the exit, screaming at the top of their lungs. Items were forgotten on the ground. Many ignore the few that have fallen. In the middle of all that she spotted a small child, no older than 3-4 years old crying by the fountain. No one paid him any attention or attempted to save him. "Wait!"

"Allison!" Olivia stopped at seeing what she was doing. Running after her, she examined the child to ensure he wasn't harmed. "Hey, buddy, where's your mom?"

"We need to keep moving!" Jesus ordered.

Looking around Olivia nearly gasped at the body a few feet away. A woman no older than in her 20s lay dead on the ground. A toy and toddler cup in her hand. "Okay. Okay. Come with me." Holstering her gun into the back of her pants, she picked him up pushing Allison to get moving. "Jesus, what is happening?" She asked for what felt like the hundredth time. "Mall shooter?"

Jesus suddenly turned around firing at the two men rushing at them. The bullets ripped into them, sending them crashing to the floor. "Lords."

"Who are they after?" Allison shook.

Olivia noticed the look on his face. "Us."

"Derek was able to hold them off for a few moments." Jesus led them out of the mall and into the parking lot area. It was just as much chaos out there as it was inside. People scrambled to get to their vehicles. Many of those that managed to do so rammed into other vehicles blocking them. "We need to get to the car."

Out of pure reflex, Olivia snatched Jesus's weapon, turned around, and shot at the gunman coming toward them. "Move now!" Once they reached the SUV, Olivia settled the little boy in the back seat. "I want you to lay down and do not get up until I tell you. Okay? Allison get in the back with him. Keep your heads down."

The girl nodded numbly. "Okay."

Closing the door, Olivia looked back at a couple of shots being fired. To her horror, Jesus fell to his knees with a loud growl. "Jesus!"

"Don't!" The man growled stopping her from running out of the cover of the car. "Get out of here!"

Just as she was about to run to him, Olivia felt a sharp pain hit her side. The force of the impact pushed her against the car. Looking down at it, she noticed the blood starting to soak her shirt. Giving Jesus a look of despair, she ran around the car and jumped into the diver's seat. Shifting into reverse, she peeled out of the parking lot.

Once on the road, Olivia knew to head home. Barba always had men stationed at the end of the block. They would intervene the moment they saw her. It wasn't far, but they were in the middle of rush hour in LA. Glancing at her rear mirror, a wave of relief came over her to see no one following her. Fumbling for her phone, she gasped at the pain shooting up her side. The seats, steering wheel, and middle console were covered in her blood. You would think she decided to finger-paint with her blood. "You two okay?" She quickly dialed for Craigen. Got no answer.

"Yeah." Allison whispered.

Trying Elliot she got voicemail. "Answer the fucken phone!"

Keeping her head down, Allison appeared between the seats. Placing her hand on the middle armrest, she pulled back at feeling something wet. To her horror crimson red covered the palm of her hand. Her eyes instantly fell on the wound. "You're hurt!" Removing her sweater, she placed it over said wound. "We need to get you to a hospital."

"We need to get home first." She spoke between heavy breaths. "We don't know who is fo-" The sound of guns going off had the two kids in the car screaming. "Get down!" Olivia turned the car to the left, then the right, and so on. Try as hard she may, she was unable to shake them off. "Allison?"

"Yeah?" The girl's voice trembled with fear.

"Grab my phone and call your dad." That was her last resort. Her team wasn't answering her call for help. Her captain has yet to reply to her text messages. Rafael was their last chance to get out of this alive.

Present Moment:

Rafael was parked at the end of the street, waiting for any sign of Olivia. He still had them on the phone, trying as best as he could to keep his daughter calm. Next to him in another SUV was Javier. "Noah, get in the back seat floor." Helping the boy crawl over the middle. "Keep your head down at all times until one of us comes to get you. Understood?"

"Yeah." He clutched the phone in his hand. "Is my mom going to be okay?"

Barba knew better than to promise something like that. "I'll get her back to you."

'Rafa I'm turning into Dwight!'

'Keep coming.'

"I don't se-" She spotted two black SUVs pull out from the alleyways behind the two following her. They stopped nose to nose blocking the street. As she looked around she spotted more cars blocking every possible exit. Seeing two other SUV's coming towards her, she drove between the two and slammed at her brakes realizing it was a dead end. Looking back, the two cars had created a barrier between her and the Lords. Ignoring the pain on her side, she jumped out of the car and walked towards the SUV.

The moment they cut off the Lords from their target, Barba stepped out of the car. Gun raised, he fired into the SUV. Javier and the other Angelicos followed his lead.

Noah popped his head out from between the seats. Seeing Barba walking towards the car, he watched as they began shooting with no signs of stopping. He was in both shock and awe. Seeing his men standing by him as they avenged his mother. The Angelicos had surrounded them from all angles.

Just as fast as it had started, the shooting ceased. Rafael lowered his gun, ordering his men to ensure they were dead. Handing his weapon to Javier, he turned and froze. Olivia was braced against the hood of his car. "Liv?" Running over to her, he caught her before she could touch the ground. "I got you." Looking down at her bloody hand clutching her side. "Javier! Help me get her into the car."

Barba sat in the back with her head on his lap. His men were ordered to take his children back to the house and double the guards. He couldn't let Noah see her like this. "Come on Javier! Speed it up!"

The blood didn't gush in a constant flow, but in time with the beating of Olivia's heart. At first, it came thick and strong, flowing through her fingers as they clasped the ripped flesh. She felt the blood move over her hand, the thick fluid no warmer or cooler than her own skin. After a few moments more the blood was still leaving her rapidly paling flesh, but the pulses were slower, weaker.

"No. No. No. Liv, keep your eyes open." Barba cupped her face. "You have to stay awake Darling."

"I'm tired." She whispered.

Barba kicked the back of the passenger seat in frustration. "Let's go!"

"N-Noah?"

"He's safe. My men have him and Allison." Barba caressed her cheek, smiling down at her.

"And th-the boy?" Swallowing the lump in her throat, she gasped. "Ah-"

"Stop." Barba leaned down kissing her on the forehead. "Stop talking. He's safe. They all are. But right now I need you to stay still. You're losing blood and talking won't help." Looking at his brother, he shook his head. "Javier..."

The man pressed down on the pedal, pushing the car to its limit. The last time his brother lost someone he loved, blood ran through the streets. Bodies of anyone involved or connected to those that held the knife were massacred. It was a dark time in their life. He feared what Barba might do should Olivia not make it through this.
