Rukia rolled over in her bed and sighed; her phone was ringing. It wasn't even seven a.m. yet. "Morning Ran," she said groggily sitting up.
"So how did it go the other night after we left? Did you guys kiss and make up?"
Why else would she call so early? The only thing she liked more than shopping was gossiping, "no, there was no kissing and I can't say we made up either." She stood stretching and yawned.
"Stop being so secretive Rukia, what happened? It was the perfect setting for you two to talk over what happened."
"I thought it was and it seemed like we were getting somewhere when he asked me to forgive him for the whole episode at the lake. Then yesterday he told me he had been drunk and didn't remember any of it, so now we are back to square one."
"Drunk? He didn't drink any punch the whole night. Now that I think about it I don't remember seeing him drink anything."
"Well he said Gin gave it to him so…"
"Hold on a second Rukia."
She could hear her calling Gin's name in the background.
"Yes Moto? Ready for round two?"
"No, quit playing around. At the dance were you giving Ichigo alcohol?"
Gin thought about it for a second, "no, I didn't bring any with me. Probably should have though, maybe the party would have been livelier."
"Underage drinking is illegal Gin."
"What are you talking about, you drink all the time," he pouted.
"Only with you. No get out I'm trying to talk to Rukia."
"Ohh juicy, ask her how it went, did she like my blind date," he walked off amused.
"So he wasn't drunk," Rukia muttered more to herself than Ran. "Why would he lie though?"
"I think that's something you should ask him. You should have an honest conversation with him about your feelings and his."
"I know but its hard to broach the subject with him. It's like he's playing some game. One minute he tells me he could never love me and the next he's asking me if I am breaking up with him."
"You never told me you were going out Rukia, we could have been double dating all this time."
She could hear the sulkiness in her voice, "that's the thing, I'm pretty sure we weren't in a relationship. I mean don't you usually have to ask the person to be your girlfriend or something?"
Matsumoto giggled, "Rukia you are too funny. So all this time you've been worried and he's thinking ya'll a couple."
She sighed, had she been misinterpreting everything so far? Was it her inexperience that led her to believe he hadn't liked her? "I'm gonna go talk to him later, try and get everything straightened out."
"Well good luck Rukia. Don't let him evade you this time, make sure you get him to tell you the whole truth, and don't back down. Use your body if you have to."
"I'm not doing that Ran, talk to you later ok." She hung up getting out of bed and heading to the shower, today she would get to the bottom of this. She was tired of him playing with her emotions.
~~~an hour or so later~~~
She glanced from Ichigo to his father, maybe she shouldn't have rushed over without calling.
"How do you like your eggs Rukia?" he asked in a sing-song voice. It seemed Isshin was in high spirits as usual. "I'm so glad I chose today to come visit, Son. I get to see you and your beautiful girlfriend." He sighed in happiness.
"Scrambled is fine." She said trying to stifle her giggles. Even Isshin had called her his girlfriend before and back at the lake hadn't he said he didn't want to interrupt Ichigo's romantic getaway? Had she been a fool thinking there was nothing between them?
Ichigo glanced at him a frown on his face, "Oi stop being so damn creepy old man."
"Just wait till you have grown kids Ichigo. You'll then understand how thrilling it is to see your only son finally find someone they love enough that you might be able to finally have the most sought-after thing a parent could want. Grandkids, two no, maybe five would be good."
Rukia reddened at his words, she didn't dare look at Ichigo, was he not going to correct his father? Tell him they weren't that close, that he didn't love her…
"You're going to scare her away if ya keep talking like that old man." He did nothing to hide the mirth in his voice and she could feel his gaze on her.
"Its…its…ok…" it wasn't ok, she felt like she could die of embarrassment right now. Had she fallen into a black hole and transferred to an alternate reality? Why was he acting so different today as if they were an actual couple? "Thanks." She said meekly as he set the plate in front of her. She ate it absentmindedly, something was wrong here, maybe she should pinch herself because she was definitely dreaming.
Ichigo stood putting his plates away, "I've got some work to finish up Rukia, so you can hang out if you want but it'll probably take some time."
She nodded still avoiding looking at him, "Its fine, I know I should have called first. It's just now without school I don't really have anything to do."
"How about a part time job for the summer Rukia?" Isshin asked, setting down another plate of eggs in front of her. "I could always use some help at the office."
"Umm I..."
"No." Ichigo cut her off.
"Why not, I'll actually pay her."
Ichigo groaned, why did he always feel the need to meddle in his personal life? " If she's working, when would I get time to spend with her?"
Isshin rubbed his chin as if deep in thought, "I didn't think about that, sorry Ichigo. Forget what I said Rukia, I don't have any openings at my highly successful Drs. office. In fact forget you saw me today. Bye."
Before she could say anything he was gone. "That was…"
"When you're finished eating go home Rukia."
"But…" he had gone before she had a chance to refuse. What was happening here? She had to be still in bed, dreaming or else what was going on.
~~~ A few hours later~~~
"I thought I told ya to go home Rukia."
Rukia glanced up from her phone, "I didn't feel like going home then coming back later, besides I really want to talk to you Ichigo."
"I told you I was going to be busy for a while." He went to the fridge to pull out some leftovers.
"Why did you lie to me Ichigo?" She watched as he set the food down then turn to look at her.
"About?"
"Being drunk and not recalling what you said in the car. Gin never gave you anything."
"That big mouth bastard." He sighed, he really didn't want to go through this right now he really had a lot of work to do. "I really don't want to get into that right now Rukia. Just go home I got work piled up and don't have time to argue with you."
"I'm not trying to argue, I just want to clear the air."
He didn't know the right words to say, he never did. "We'll do that, just not right now."
Rukia sighed getting up from her seat closing the distance between them. She put a hand on each side of him blocking him in, "No I want to talk about it now Ichigo."
He stared down at her, her eyes sparkled with determination, her pretty pink lips tilted down into a scowl. Fuck why was he getting hard?
"Now tell me why Ichigo." She pressed her body against him, and she could feel herself react to him... She wanted answers but maybe being this close wasn't the right thing to do, she wanted to touch and kiss him.
Ichigo groaned, the feel of her body teasing him, all he could picture was her laying naked in the grass, her perfect tits, the way her pussy had tasted… He couldn't fuck around anymore, this was torture for him. He picked her up settling her on the countertop and stepped away, "I already told you I'm busy Rukia, so be a good girl and go home."
She wanted to follow him but instead left his house. ~
She returned hours later after spending most of her day trying to figure out what the hell had happened that morning. It seemed that no matter how much she wanted to talk about them, if he wasn't ready for it wasn't going to happen. She really wished she could turn off the emotions he evoked in her and treat this like a regular job, but she couldn't. Her heart wouldn't let her. For somehow at some point, she had fallen in love with him.
"Right on time Rukia." He stood there shirtless, a towel wrapped around his waist.
Her eyes traveled to his broad muscled chest, all she wanted to do was reach out and touch him.
"My eyes are up here." He chuckled at how cutely she flushed, "give me a sec, I'll change."
"Sorry…" she followed him in to his room and he disappeared into the bathroom emerging a few minutes later in pajama pants no top. She averted her eyes from him, she was just as bad as him, lusting over his body.
"Earth to Rukia…"
"Could you put on a shirt, your...it's really distracting."
"You know I really love this shy side of you Rukia."
She jumped off her spot on his bed. How had he snuck up on her again. "Why do you want to kill me?"
He snickered getting into the bed, "I'm ready whenever you are Rukia."
She pulled a chair up to the edge of the bed and took a seat. No way was she getting close to him, "can we talk first Ichigo?"
He let out a sigh, "I really just wanna sleep Rukia. It's been a long day and I don't think I have the energy for that right now."
"You didn't seem tired a minute a go when you were messing with me."
"We'll talk just not tonight, ok?"
She frowned, she had already figured it wasn't going to happen, "ok then let's continue." ~~~
Nel sighed, breakfast had come and gone and now she sat staring out the window in her room. The whole night her mind had been on the kiss he had given her. She had barely slept, when she closed her eyes his face haunted her. Even now, just thinking about him, her body felt like it was on fire. She wanted to kiss him again. Wanted to feel his hands on her body.
The door opened and she turned expectantly hoping it was him, she backed up, realizing who it was.
"So, this is where he's stashed you." Tesra walked in glancing around the room with a frown of disdain on his face. "What kind of spell have you cast on my son?"
Nel stared at him, unsure of what to say. Anything she said might trigger him and without Nnoitra there she could be killed. "I don't know what you're talking about. I just asked him for some help, and he agreed." She hoped her voice was calm and didn't show just how much she hated him.
"What kind of help? The prince isn't one to hand out charity so selflessly." He eyed her up and down his lips set in a thin line, "especially to the daughter of a fallen kingdom."
Her eyes darted from him; he knew who she was but how? It's true she had the same coloring as her mother, but no one had figured it out before. In the last three years, no one had said anything about her being the lost princess. "Nothing you need to be bothered about your Majesty." she said derisively.
She moved towards the nightstand where she had hidden a steak knife.
"What goes on in my kingdom is of course my concern." He stepped closer to her and she panicked, grabbing the knife.
"Stay away from me." She felt pathetic holding it but she stood her ground. No way was she going to give up when she was this close.
He burst out cackling, "fiery, aren't you? Just how I like them." His smirk widened as he stepped closer.
Before she knew it he was next to her, "get…get away from me." Her back hit the dresser and she swung the knife; it grazed his hand and he laughed.
"You have the audacity to harm the King?" He glanced at the small cut on his hand, and she watched as the wound slowly healed. "Where were you hiding all this time? If I had known they had a daughter, I would have made sure to have made them watch me ruin you before I had killed them."
Her eyes widened with fear, "You…you fucking monster…" her voice was ragged with emotion. All these years and now he was standing right in front of her and she was helpless. She wanted to cry out in frustration, yet she steeled herself, "I'm going to fucking kill you…"
His laughter echoed in the room, "You?"
"That's enough."
She heaved a sigh of relief at the sound of his voice, wanting to run to him and hide from his father.
"What are you doing father?" His voice held a note of ire, and the King just shrugged his lips tilted up in a slick grin.
"I see why you've taken a fancy to her. I wonder would she choose a king over a prince?"
Nel stood there wanting to stab him, watch the knife pierce his chest, and watch as he bled out helplessly. How dare he talk about her as if she wasn't there? No way in hell would she lower herself to his level.
Nnoitra watched her the way she held the knife as if it were her only hope. He could see the terrified look in her eyes, maybe he had pushed her a little too far. No not at all, this was what he wanted. The look of utter relief when she saw him, as if her knight had come to save her, had his cock harder than diamonds.
"You really are pitiful aren't you?" Even though he was eying his father his words were meant for her. What was it about her that made his blood rush straight to his dick?
"I was just curious as to what made her so special." He chuckled as he made his way out of the room.
Nel visibly relaxed, the knife dropping from her hands. She had been so scared, he could just as well killed her if he had wanted. If Nnoitra hadn't returned, had he been about to? "Thanks…" her voice was uneven, her knees felt like they would give out at any moment.
He was ruthless. He felt no remorse no shame in killing her parents, wiping out an entire kingdom for what reason? "How is that your father, he's absolutely vile." Even though he had almost forced himself on her Nnoitra was nothing like his father. He had taken her in and agreed to help her.
She eyed him warily; what if she was wrong though? He wasn't human, he could be just like him. She had been so focused on his father but what if Nnoitra had been a part of it? "Were you there? When he destroyed my kingdom?" She couldn't blindly put her trust in him. She had been stupid to do so already. It didn't matter how much she needed him, if he had been there then he was going to die along with his father.
"No, there was nothing of value for me there. Your kingdom wasn't as prosperous as one would think." He shrugged, "But If I had known, there was a princess with such beauty hiding behind those walls, I would have made the journey to claim you as my own."
She wouldn't be persuaded by his flattery, "then why did he do it?...why kill…kill…" Nel broke down then, collapsing to the floor.
"The King is ruthless; humans are nothing but fodder for him. Your life, your parents are inconsequential specks in his world. Your kingdom was one of many that have been plundered by him." He gazed down at her crying form, trying to hide the smirk on his lips. "There is no rhyme or reason, he does whatever the fuck wants."
Nel listened to his words, now her resolve was even stronger. She wouldn't give up, she had to stop feeling sorry for herself. Once he was dead, she could cry as much as she wanted. She wiped away her tears, she had to stop being weak, especially in front of him. She glanced up at him and frowned at the smug grin on his lips. "what are you so happy about?"
"Nothing in particular." He walked over to her still slouched figure, picking her up. He stood next to her, and she sighed, he was close but not close enough, she wanted to close the gap. "I have business outside of the castle, so I will be gone most the day."
"But…what about …What about your father? If you hadn't come in, I'm sure he would have done something unthinkable to me. You can't just leave me here."
"Of course, I can Princess. He's a lot of talk, he wouldn't dare lay a hand on what belongs to me." He was dying of laughter on the inside, the look of apprehension on her features tickled his funny bone to no end.
"You don't protect your investment very well. What if you returned and I'm gone, you wouldn't have gotten what you really wanted would you?" She felt stupid being so anxious but how could she not be? They were not normal humans with whom she was dealing. She held no power there.
"Do you know what I really want?" What he wanted was her on her knees, sucking the life out of him through his cock, or begging for him to fuck her, to make her his and his alone. "You're pretty needy, aren't you? I'm beginning to regret keeping you alive, Fucking you isn't really worth the hassle."
Nel knew that was true, but right now, it was about self-preservation. She didn't care how clingy she sounded, she was not going to be killed before she got her vengeance." I know you want to have sex with me, but if you leave me here unprotected who knows how bold your father might become. Just take me with you, I will not speak, or be a bother. I just do not want to be left alone here. "
He sighed, "I guess I could put off my plans until tomorrow. So, then what would you like to do today?"
She eyed him skeptically, was he really leaving this up to her. "Anything but sit in this room all day. If it's another day like yesterday, I'm sure I'll die. I'm not used to sitting around."
"Anything?" His eyes dipped to her chest, and she turned away from him, her body suddenly feeling hot. He closed the gap between them, "why not just spend the day in bed…you might die but it won't be of boredom."
She shook her head, " I..I still have two days left…"
He rolled his eyes, of course why was he doing this again?
She turned back to him, her cheeks flushed, a scowl on her pretty lips, "I don't care if you kill me afterwards but at least for now keep your promise. No matter what you are, a promise should not be broken."
He licked his lips, this was why. He wanted her to keep this fight, wanted her to submit to him, he wanted to tame her spirit, until all she could think about was his cock, his body, him period. "Ok Princess, why don't we got to the courtyard and watch the executions?"
"I do not want to do that. Don't you do normal stuff? Like play croquet or take walks in the flower garden…" she stopped at the look of confusion on his face, "umm…what do you usually do for fun?"
Nnoitra stroked his chin, "fun?" He was tempted to tell her exactly what he considered fun just to see how she would look knowing he consider pillaging and raiding and killing as fun. "Nothing you would be interested in, besides, it is up to you what we do today."
He was really giving her a choice. "I need to visit someone. You don't have to accompany me if you don't want to. I am sure I can find my way back."
"So I should let you go alone, how is that different from being here alone?"
"If you would give me back my sword, I will be fine. I can take care of myself I have been doing it for the past three years." She had done a damn decent job of it too. She had seen many girls resorting to selling their bodies for a few pieces of gold, she never wanted to be like that and so she had trained herself to be tough and not take shit from anyone.
"Who is this "someone"?"
"She's essential to my plan."
He eyed her, "ok then let's go."
She was almost surprised he had said yes. But she wouldn't say anything, this was her chance to be out of the castle, and who knew when the next chance would come.~
A little while later they stood outside a worn-out shack, Nel glanced around maybe she was out? It had been a long time since she had last visited.
She knocked hesitantly and waited patiently. The door opened to a beautiful young blonde woman. "Nelliel is that you?" she drew her in for a hug and when they separated, a shorter plump woman had replaced her.
"Grandma, I missed you!" she said happily, her only living relative left in this world.
Nnoitra stood behind watching the exchange, The Great Witch of the Forest. So this is who she wanted to see.
"Come in Deary, I was just making some stew. Caught me a couple of live ones earlier!" She giggled, ushering Nel into her home.
"Now you're scaring me." She joined in laughing. She was an eccentric old lady, but she was indeed a sorcerer. One of the better ones at that. In her journeys she had been a monumental help, giving her potions and the like.
"So what brings you all the way out here Dear? I thought you had decided to head to the capitol."
"I had, but I stumbled onto to something, and it brought me back here. But I do need a favor Grandma, can I get a little bit of your special brew?"
Muriel glanced at her; the small smile disappeared from her face as she threw a glance at Nnoitra who had remained outside.
"Oh no it's not for him…he's..."
"Your boyfriend? Fiancé? It better be one of those or you know what will happen."
Nel sighed her grandmother could be so dramatic, "he is Prince Nnoitra, I guess you could say we are together."
The smile returned to her wrinkled face, "why don't you invite him in and introduce us?"
No way in hell she would, she didn't want him to blab about their real 'relationship'. "He's kinda shy…"
"Nonsense," she went to the door and beckoned him in, "Prince Nnoitra is it?"
"Yes."
She gazed at him, then her granddaughter, "How is it you two are together, what is your relationship."
His lazy grin widened. He could see by the look on her face, she already knew who he was. "I'm helping her fulfill a lifetime wish, lets put it that way, at the risk of sounding to vulgar."
"A sacrifice huh." Grandma chuckled, the moment she had seen him, she knew that was her daughter's killer. The dreaded King of but Hueco Mundo she didn't know why her granddaughter was with him. She watched the way she gazed at him, maybe they were lovers or something more but that she was uncertain of.
"Um Grandma, the thing if I could just get it, we'll be on our way."
She went to the cabinet rifling through it then brought out a small bottle and handed it to her. "You remember how to use it right? Please be careful, Deary."
"You fuss too much Grandma. I'll visit again soon, love you."
Grandma nodded, "A moment of your time if you please Prince Nnoitra."
"I'll wait outside then." She hugged her Grandma once more before heading out the door.
"What game are you playing King Nnoitra?"
He chuckled, she was a smart one, "None at all, I'm afraid your granddaughter has cast a spell on me that I cant seem to get rid of."
Her smile was sickly sweet as she eyed him, "how cliché."
"I've no reason to lie."
"Hmm. I see. Just know there are worse things than death for a man like you."
His smirk didn't waver at her threat. He knew how powerful she was. "Don't worry Granny, she's in good hands. Then if you'll excuse me. It was nice meeting you."
Muriel nodded and watched as he left. Now that she knew who she was with, she would have to check on her more often.
"What did she say?" Nel questioned mounting her horse.
"Nothing too important that you need to worry your pretty little head about."
Nel nodded, now she had just what she needed. Her Grandma's special brew was a poison, but not just any poison, this made you feel as if you were dying. It took a week to kill you, but each day the pain got worse as your body shut down. It was a painful way to go and that's exactly what he deserved, to die a thousand times and more.
He was riding next to her now, their horses in a slow gait. "The look of utter satisfaction on your face just now, what were you imagining?"
"Your father's death, how painful he is going to die. I just have to give him a few drops of this and in a week he will be dead. Or I can just give him the whole bottle and put him out of his misery quickly. I cannot decide what would be more fulfilling."
"Does nothing but the death of the King excite you Princess?"
His words echoed in her head as she sat picking at her food. Her whole adulthood had been dedicated to his death, with the possibility of her finally achieving it, would her life have any meaning afterwards? What would she honestly do? Could she move pass this and live normally when it was all said and done?
"You are going to waste away if you continue to eat like that Princess."
She hadn't notice him come in, "Thanks for your concern Nnoitra, but I have no appetite."
"Don't make a mistake, its not concern for you but for me. I plan to thoroughly ravish you and do not want you passing out."
Nel frowned, must he constantly remind her? "My apologies your Majesty." She said sarcastically, "I'll make sure to stuff my self like a holiday ham."
Nnoitra chuckled, he enjoyed their banter more than he would like to admit. He didn't know what it was about her that made him want to possess her so damn much. "I just don't want you to miss the fun, Princess."
"It's just sex Nnoitra, no matter how much you say it, it is not fun. It's meant for procreation and that is all. You may take pleasure from it but…"
"Exactly what a well mannered Princess would say," he pushed the cart of forgotten food aside and lifted her up, carrying her to the bed. He kissed her then, he took his time exploring her mouth, enjoying the soft feel of her lips on his.
Nel pulled back catching her breath, her eyes fixated on his lips. "Prince…" her voice caught, as he pushed up the hem of her dress, the coolness of the air felt refreshing on her heated skin he was touching her. "Nnoi…" the sensation of his fingers on her through the softness of her underwear was driving her crazy, it felt indescribable. A feeling she had yet to feel. "Sto…stop…" even though the words escaped her lips that was not what she wanted, she wanted him to touch her more, the building pleasure was like fire burning all her nerves.
"I'm sorry what was that Princess? I won't know what you want unless you say it clearly."
She couldn't form words; she couldn't think clearly her brain was a foggy mess of new sensations and overwhelming pleasure. "Don...do…" she let out a low moan as her orgasm overtook her. She finally caught her breath; she was clinging onto him for dear life, she didn't want to let go though. She wanted to stay in his embrace just a little longer.
"Was that not 'fun' Princess?" She could hear the smirk in his voice, and she buried her head in his chest.
