Alright, here's chapter 3 - hopefully by then the graphic stats of the site are fixed. But here it is.
I am slowly building up the story so you all know. I hope you all leave some reviews in support of this story.
Now that's out of the way, let's get onto it.
Watching from a long distance, on the Fire Nation warship that was sailing through the desolate parts of the South Pole, was an man. An elderly man to be exact who was presumably in his late 50s but was in no way some helpless senior.
General Iroh, the Dragon of the West, brother to the Fire Lord and a avid tea lover and a man of culture, who was calm, very patient and also a good person to converse with.
While sitting at his small table that held a cup of tea and a deck of wooden cards, he watched the light blue light that reached the heavens, and he knew exactly what it was.
'So it seems he has returned… Such poor timing if I may say that.'
Turning back to his game, the old retired general wanted to just continue his afternoon-
"Finally."
The person who said that was Iroh's nephew, who with his single ponytail and the scarred left side of his face, the banished Crown Prince of the Fire Nation, Zuko.
"Uncle," Zuko turned towards him. "do you realize what this means?"
Iroh, who decided to play it safely like the card game, chooses to play it dumb to a certain degree and answered. "That I won't get to finish my game?"
"It means my search is about to come to an end." Zuko turned back around when he replied to that, facing the light again.
Sighing, Iroh could only place the tilt back on the table.
"That light came from an incredibly powerful source." Zuko pointed out to the light that was slowly disappearing, convinced by it as he stated. "It has to be him."
"Or it's just the celestial lights." Iroh said to his nephew. "We've been down this road before, Prince Zuko." He laid a piece of the card game onto the other, one with the same looking symbol.
The piece he laid was of the element of Air, and he placed it right on top of that of Fire.
"Please, sit. Why don't you enjoy a cup of calming Jasmine tea?" Iroh asked in his relaxed tone.
"I don't need any calming tea!" Zuko furiously turned to his uncle and stated. "I need to capture the Avatar!"
Zuko then raised his head upwards and ordered. "Helmsman, head a course for the light!"
Watching this only made Iroh frown for a moment before he turned his focus back towards his game, and the piece he held was that of the element of Air.
And he placed it right on top of the other piece of Air. just as the surge wind could be felt blowing the steam of the tea.
'I guess there is no doubt about it, he has indeed returned.'
With the ice dust settling down it was Naruto still stood there as he watched the light dimming down from the sky and it still being focused from the original source.
The gale began to settle as Naruto stepped a few feet closer to the source before he then felt a hand grab on his coat, it were the gloves of Katara who held him, with Sokka having his spear out pointed.
"Look!"
Appearing then out of the iceberg came a figure, that of a human whose eyes and tattoos were glowing as the same color as those from the light - that stared down towards the small group.
"Stop!" Sokka ordered, aiming his spear.
….
And when the light then finally dimmed down to its final form, the light in the figure also disappeared as it fell forwards.
"Katara!"
"Right." Katara and Naruto caught the figure that released a moan of exhaustion, and right into their arms, both the blond and female Water Tribe girl were surprised what they found in their arms.
The figure was that of a boy, a bald boy to be exact. Possible a few years younger than them, presuming he might just be in his early teens. He still wore an orange-yellow clothing that belonged like they belonged to a monastery, with the most mysterious part of the boy being the blue arrow over his forehead.
Naruto was the first to check on his pulse and vitals, and turned to Katara who looked concerned.
"He's alive."
*Poke!*
That sound was Sokka's spear being poked at the side of the bald boy's head, causing Katara to be irritated by this.
"Stop it!"
"What?" Sokka asked. "Aren't you weirded out of the fact we found someone being inside an iceberg?"
While Katara was distracted by her brother's antics, it was where both Naruto and Kurama made a mental note to one another after they fully examined the bald boy. Especially after having checked the pulse of both hands and neck, showing they had the same type of tattoos that really brought their suspicions into a conclusion.
And it didn't take them long.
'Kurama, those tattoos…it has to be him.'
'I know, but…he's just a kid? And why is he here?'
'I don't know, I am just as confused as you. Yet we cannot make any conclusions now.'
"Ugh…"
The small moan that came out of the boy's mouth caused Katara to turn back to attention, as the bald kid was seen opening his eyes.
His gray eyes to be exact, tired looking, he was stunned to see what was in front of him. To which Naruto happened to notice the boy was particularly - at Katara.
And for some reason, it irritated him - to where mentally he noted it.
'Easy…'
'You're not betrothed, so-'
'Shut it, Kurama'
"Hey…" The teen boy spoke in a weak tone, directly asking the two. "I need to ask you something…"
Katara leaned forwards and asked. "What?"
"Please…" The boy pleaded weakly. "Come closer…"
"What is it?" Katara asked, now even more curious.
The boy nearly closes his eyes before happily half-shouting. "Will you go penguin sledding with me?!"
"Uhm, sure." Katara slightly leaned back, and responded awkwardly. "... I-I guess."
That sudden question of happiness got everybody surrounding the bald boy to raise their eyebrows, or for Kurama, raise his ears.
"Is he for real?"
"Oh! Who's this little guy!" The boy elegantly rises to his feet in one swift motion, proceeding to then kneel right in front of the small fox and scratch his ear. "I've never seen your sort before. You like this?"
Beginning to scratch right behind the Kitsune's ear, Kurama normally wouldn't anyone touch him, but this kid somehow managed to hit the right spot as he hummed.
'Hmmm, he's quite good, right there.'
"Yeah, you like that don't you?" The boy smiled at the orange furred animal. "Wait until you meet my friend Ap-"
"Excuse us, but we're still here." Naruto said, as he was the only one of the three who wasn't showing any expressions of surprise like Katara who was awestruck while Sokka was still aiming his spear at him.
"Oh right, sorry." The boy turned around and noticed at first what his surroundings were and asked confused. "Wait… What's going on here?"
"You tell us!" Sokka told him while pointing his spear at the crater. "How did you get in the ice? And why aren't you frozen?" Asking that, Sokka poked the side of the kid with his weapon.
"... I'm not sure." The boy lazily pushed the spear away. "But…where am I?"
"South Pole, well on the outskirts of it. We're on a fishing trip until we found you." Naruto answered and mentioned the clothing. "But you're not from around here, are you?"
"Uhm…why do you ask?" The boy asked nervously. "What's wrong with what I am wearing?"
"Kid, we are in the South Pole." Kurama said to him. "We're freezing our assess off in here while you are wearing nothing warm at all."
"W-Wait! You can talk?"
*Gruff!*
A low, gruff noise suddenly fills the air, coming from within the crater of the iceberg. Causing everyone to then look towards the crater.
"Appa!" The boy scrambled upwards the iceberg as he jumped into the crater.
*Growl!*
The rest happened to then follow that sound, as it caught them all by surprised. Was something else alive in that iceberg?
"Sounds like an animal."
They then happened to walk around as they saw the boy then trying to open…a mouth - of a gigantic beast with white fur that had a brown arrow over it.
"Huhhh!" Sokka's reaction was expected. "What is that thing?
"That's an Air Bison…"
"Yeah, you're right!" The boy said petting the beast on its nose. "This is Appa, my flying bison."
"Yeah, Right, and this is Katara, my flying sister." Sokka sarcastically remarked. "Come on, that seriously cannot be-"
"Keep the sarcasm for yourself now, Sokka." Naruto told him off, focused on the giant beast that was fascinating. "That's really a sky bison…"
Sokka as still not convinced. "Yeah right, it's just a big animal."
Those words however did not need to wait for a response as the boy noticed the bison was taking a deep breath, before sneezing a large blast of green snot that the bald kid managed to dodge.
That snot landed on Sokka - who rightfully began to freak out, with his face and clothing covered in the bison's green snot. Squealing in disgust as he begins to frantically try to clean it off, rubbing his face in the snow while his sister could only smile in amusement of this.
Kurama was conflicted. "I don't know wherever to laugh at your demise or be disgusted by it."
The boy however stated. "Don't worry, it'll wash out."
And like that, the snot began disintegrating off Sokka's face, much to the disgust of Katara who covered her mouth.
"So do you guys live around here?" The boy asked, then pointing out. "And, don't mind me asking, but what's with your hair?"
Naruto couldn't help but chuckle. "Never met a blond haired person before?"
"Blond?"
"It means someone with yellow hair." Katara said, smiling as she pointed it out. "You're not the first one to react surprised."
"Oh, so you have a rare-"
"Don't answer that!" Sokka spoke, quickly pointing his spear at the boy, starting with the accusation. "Did you see that crazy bolt of light?! He was probably trying to signal the Fire Navy!"
"Oh yeah, I'm sure he's a spy for the Fire Navy." Katara pushed her brother aside, addressing him sarcastically. "You can tell by that evil look in his eye."
It didn't help that the boy gave the fullest grin he could give, earning even himself some smiles.
"The paranoid one is my brother, Sokka." Katara began introduction around. "The little loud mouth is Kurama-"
"And the blond one who is yet to betroth her is Naruto." Kurama said in retaliation. "Two can play that game too, Katara."
"Can we stick to the point, please?" Sokka said, asking then the boy. "What's your name?"
"I'm A-" The boy then made a weird look. "a-a-a-ACHOO!"
The boy then blasted into the air, soaring upwards as the surrounding wind made everyone else hold onto their clothing, caught off guard by this… And like nothing he landed back to the ground, unharmed and with that smile again.
"I'm Aang." The boy introduced himself as he sniffed his nose a bit.
"You just sneezed ... " Sokka pointed to the sky pointed to the sky in disbelief. "...and flew ten feet in the air!"
Aang looked upwards. "Really? It felt higher than that."
Gasping, Katara then realized. "You're an airbender!"
"Sure am!" Aang proclaimed proudly.
"So you are an Air Nomad." Naruto asked. "Correct?"
"Yep!" Aang confirmed. "Southern Air Temple."
"Giant light beams, flying bison, airbenders. I think I got midnight sun madness." Sokka began turning around, as he was having enough of this. "I'm going home to where stuff makes sense…"
"Sokka."
"What?" Sokka shot towards the fox. "What is it?"
"Take a good look around you."
Hearing that and listening, the Water Tribe teenager noticed that they were stranded on the block of ice, with only ocean around them.
"Uhm well if you guys are stuck, Appa and I can give you a lift." Aang suggested to them. Then he jumped upwards and landed on the head of the bison.
"We'd love a ride! Thanks!" Katara sounded relieved as she ran over to the Bison. "Naruto, can you help me?"
"Sure, I'll help." Naruto said as hr walked over. "Kurama, get up there."
"Don't tell me what to do - a free ride is a free ride!" Kurama shouted as he had already jumped up the saddle of the bison. "Come on, Sokka, join."
"Oh no!" Sokka protested, the only one still on the ice. "I'm not getting on that fluffy snot monster!"
While climbing up with Naruto's help, Katara commented. "Are you hoping some other kind of monster will come along and give you a ride home? You know, before you freeze to death?"
And with that Sokka was left without any compelling arguments and gave in.
…
Not long after, an sulking Sokka was on the saddle sitting alongside a excited Katara and the sleeping form of Kurama, while up on the front of the saddle was Naruto who sat close to where Aang was.
"Okay, first time flyers, hold on tight!" Aang said with a big smile and turned to the bison. "Appa, yip-yip!"
With the reins being whipped and a growl from Appa, the bison's tail raised upwards as the beast jumped upwards into the air….before landing on the water with its giant belly with a huge splash of water as it just began to float through the water.
"Come on, Appa. Yip-yip!
"Wow, that was truly amazing …" Sokka commented in the highest form of sarcasm.
Appa's just a little tired." Aang responded. "A little rest and he'll be soaring through the sky. You'll see."
"We'll see." Naruto said as he sat right next to Katara with his head leaning backwards. "We can rest a bit, take an example of the big guy here."
Appa growled, seeing to be in agreement as the bison kept going with the flow, unbothered by the ice-cold water.
"Agreed." Kurama replied, already about to sleep. "Night."
As those who were ready to go to sleep, Katara decided to go up to her brother to get a blanket, making Naruto seeing the smile the boy was giving to her without her noticing it, but then the two exactly made eye contact by accident.
"Why are you smiling?"
"Oh, sorry." Aang apologized, but then asked. "I just…never met a guy with yellow hair, to be fair - I mean, I travelled a bit around the world, but you are the first."
"Yeah, like Katara said, you're not the first." Naruto said before then asking a question. "So you did your own travelling around the world?"
"Yes, I did!" Aang exclaimed happily, before then restraining himself. "I mean, yeah. I went around the world for a bit. Visiting every corner of the world."
Naruto gave a shrug. "That's nice to know."
"Where have you been?" Aang asked excitingly. "You got to tell me!"
"Curious one, aren't you?" Naruto said, giving a smirk, responding then. "How about this? Let's get to camp first and have some sleep, and then we exchange some stories. Alright?"
Aang nodded and turned his head back to steering Appa forwards down the stream, flapping his tail as the bison made his way through the icy water. It would take a while before they'd reach the village.
Later
Fire Nation Ship
On the ship's helm stood Prince Zuko, alone in his night garments as he was staring at the same direction where the light was last seen. Unbothered by the cold climate as he stood there by himself, with most of the crew having already left the deck.
However, here came his uncle Iroh, also in his garments, he came by to check on his nephew who he knew was standing there still despite multiple attempts to convince him to come back inside.
"I'm going to bed now." Iroh told him, not holding back his yawning as he stretches his arms as he was ready to sleep. "Yep, a man needs his rest."
…
"Prince Zuko, you need some sleep." Iroh tried. "Even if you're right, and the Avatar is alive, you won't find him. Your father, grandfather and great-grandfather all tried and failed."
"Because their honor didn't hinge on the Avatar's capture. Mine does." Zuko argued, staunchly as he went further. "This coward's hundred years in hiding are over."
Iroh just sighs in defeat, having tried but knowing that once his nephew was convinced of something, he would go along with it.
'KEH!'
That sudden sound came from a hawk that was seen flying towards them, catching the attention of both Iroh and Zuko.
"A messenger hawk, and this late."
The messenger hawk landed on the rails of the bridge, allowing Iroh to then approach it, and to take the scroll out as he began to read it.
"And?" Zuko asked his uncle. "What is in it?"
"Well, I don't know how to say this - but it looks like we aren't the only Fire Nation ship in the South Pole."
…
Miles behind the ship of the Prince, another Fire Nation cruiser was seen sailing and entering the regions of the South Pole, with this ship however being different from all others, with this ship being of a newer model with it also being larger.
On deck stood a man in uniform, an commander to be exact. One man with sideburns who had risen through the ranks of the Fire Nation with success after success, who not only was an excellent firebender, but was also a military man who could gain victories. Yet his most famous feature was him being a highly ambitious, power-hungry narcissist.
"The South Pole." The commander spoke. "Such a desolate place this has become…and to think you've been hiding here…"
"Commander Zhao."
Commander Zhao, now called by his full rank he just had been given, turned around to one of his subordinates of his expended crew.
"What is it, captain?"
"We've been informed another Fire Nation Ship has been sailing in these parts." The captain informed the commander. "For the rest I can assure you no enemy ships or activity has been spotted."
"Of course not, because that threat is gone by now. You imbecile."
The captain was taken back. "C-Commander?"
"You must've forgotten that for the last 10 years on what we've done here, captain." Zhao told his subordinate officer. "Of how the Southern Raiders raided the Southern Water Tribe multiple times, over and over again. Took away their water benders and isolated them off the rest of the world. Turning this civilization into a sheer existence of it."
The wording alone made the captain uncomfortable as Zhao continued.
"By now many of the men and anyone else of fighting age has left this place to fight in the Earth Kingdom, leaving behind the women, children and the elderly. So the threat is close to non-existent….and given the information we've been given, this will be the perfect place for the fugitive to hide."
"Right, but commander." The captain asked then. "Are you sure that he will be here?"
Zhao narrowed his eyes as if he was certain.
"Without a doubt.".
Night
Once back at the village, those waiting outside were stunned by what they saw. But it was Gran-Gran who verbalized it at best.
"I send you out for fish…and instead you came back with an bison."
*Growl!*
Appa was exhausted as the giant beast laid against a pile of snow as it started to sleep right there and then. Not taking the account that it had gotten the gawking attention of the children.
"Cool!"
"What a beast!"
"It kinda looks cute!"
"Can we ride it?"
"Please!"
"That's enough, children, back to bed." Gran-Gran told the kids. "You can find out tomorrow."
The children all complied as they with their mothers went back to their homes, leaving them the village elder alone with Naruto and Sokka, with the latter being irritated that the bison had just destroyed his watch tower.
"My watch-"
"Silent, Sokka." Gran-Gran hushed him to then turn to Naruto for questioning. "May I know why there is a giant bison in our camp, and why we aren't allowed to eat it?"
Appa's eyes opened up hearing that.
"Because he's someone's pet." Naruto explained to her. "The one person who's sleeping in the spare igloo."
"You mean the bald boy?" Gran-Gran referred. "The same boy with the bright clothing."
"Yes, about him, can we now finally discuss what to do with him?" Sokka asked as he approached his grandmother and Naruto. "We don't know anything about him except that he's an 'air bender' supposedly."
"He's asleep now." Said Katara, as she walked out of the igloo and approached them. "He's pretty tired though, but he's not sick or anything."
"How is he not sick? He was in a frigging iceberg!" Sokka nearly shouted. "He shouldn't even be alive let alone that giant furball of his."
*Growl!*
Appa hearing this again, reaffirmed he was hearing everything from the Water Tribe people speak loudly.
"Go sleep, big guy. We won't mention you again." Naruto told the bison. "We promise."
Appa closes his eyes again as it resumed to sleep again, much to the surprise of Gran-Gran.
"I see the animal is a smart one, and the kids seem to love it." The elder woman sighed before turning to Naruto. "So, what should we do now?"
"I say we let him sleep for the night and then send him off." Sokka suggested very bluntly.
"Sokka, that's cruel!" Katara protested. "He's just a kid, sending him off will be dangerous."
"No, keeping him here is dangerous, for us." Sokka argued to his sister. "That light that iceberg had sent out into the air has most likely alerted ships of the Fire Nation. Meaning they will come here to investigate."
"Even then, wouldn't they already be here by now?" Katare asked back. "That was nearly half a day ago, and we still haven't seen anything out there floating on the sea except ourselves!"
"Everyone, calm down."
Both siblings turned to the blond, who was seen thinking, and he turned his head upwards and began.
"Sokka's right, the light most likely warned them, most likely patrolling units. So we got to be careful now." Naruto said as he reiterated. "But, we cannot just kick the kid out."
"So what do you suggest?" Gran-Gran asked.
"We'll need to lie low, for the next couple of days." Naruto answered. "I will go inwards towards where I meditate and hide the monk there for a few days, until then we have to just hope they pass by."
"And then?" Sokka asked for more. "What afterwards?"
"I will figure that out, but now let's go to sleep." Naruto said. "It's pretty late. We'll figure out more tomorrow morning."
Hearing that made Gran-Gran nod as she turned around and walk back to her own home, with Sokka agreeing also as he walked back to his, leaving then Katara to be there alone with Naruto, with a concerned look that the blond noticed.
"Something wrong?" Naruto asked. "There's something bothering you, isn't it?"
"I…I asked him something, while you guys were asleep." Admitted Katara. "If he knew the Avatar by any chance."
Naruto paid attention and then asked. "And? What was his answer?"
"That he didn't know him."
…
Naruto's igloo
Only a short while later with everyone already asleep, only Naruto again was seen awake with the burning fire as he was using it to write something.
Writing as the sound of dribbling could be heard by Kurama who laid on the opposite side of the burning heat.
"You are going to warn the others, aren't you?"
"Yes." Naruto responded as he was nearly finished writing. "This needs to be sent as soon as possible. Hopefully they will receive it."
"The problem with that is you've already send away a message a few days ago. Meaning you will be taking a risk."
"A risk worth taking….done." Naruto finished the message. "Tomorrow morning I will bring it…"
"Good, now go to sleep. Tomorrow's going to be an interesting one."
Both went back to sleep with Naruto getting into his sleeping bag with Kurama laying just close to the fire.
Next morning
With the day starting in its early hours, the sun was shinning brightly over the South Pole, the large ship of commander Zhao had already men on the deck.
"HA!"
Flames were seen going back and forth as men in uniforms and white masks were firing attacks at their opponents.
This was the large morning routine where fire benders were seen sparing against one another with no holding back, fighting against one another with no regard of their other sparing partners until their opponent was defeated. This was the environment that Zhao had created even on his ship. Something he wanted to implant into the minds of his men, to show no mercy towards their enemies in war.
"I see the men are performing well, captain." Zhao stated. "You've implemented what I wanted, so that's good."
"Yes, Commander Zhao." The captain replied, but then he began. "Sir, I must inform you of something."
Zhao's eyes turned to him. "What is it?"
"A message, sir." The captain handed him over a scroll. "It's a list of ships that are active in this area."
"Let me see…" Zhao accepted the scroll and opened it up, reading it he saw that the list was small. "Not many ships out here."
"Yes, but there is the ship of the prince…"
A chuckle escaped out of Zhao at that mentioning.
"We'll let him keep searching for a dead man." Zhao said closing the scroll. "We will continue to search for our target."
The cruiser was heading for icy land, much to the commander's delight.
"Ah, just on time…"
…
Meanwhile
Further away from Zhao's ship, another training exercise was taking place, but that of a much smaller scale, with Iroh overseeing the training of his own nephew against two firebenders who were up against him.
Iroh sternly stated. "Again."
Zuko opens the fight by spreading his arms in the direction of the two firebenders, showering them with flames he unleashed on his adversaries who block Zuko's attack with ease. With the prince shifting his weight to duck under a retaliation blast of the firebender to his left.
The firebender to his right jumps forward to aim a blast at Zuko's feet. The prince propels himself out of the way.
He twists around in midair and directs another fire blast with his hand to the firebender that retaliated first, and another with his foot to the firebender that aimed for his feet. Both soldiers jump out of the way of Zuko's flames. Zuko lands and stretches his fists out toward his adversaries, ready to face another attack.
Even when this was an improvement, this did not satisfy the eye of Iroh who despite being a laid back man, was not so in training, standing up with a disapproving look.
"No!" He started. "Power in firebending comes from the breath, not the mussels." Iroh demonstrated moves both his hands up in front of him to emphasize the breathing motion.
He stretches his left arm out as if he was sending a fire blast.
"The breath becomes energy in the body. The energy extends past your limbs and becomes: fire!"
Iroh directs a fire blast at his nephew that evaporates just before it would scorch him, demonstrating it to his clearly impatient nephew.
"Get it right this time." Iroh demanded from Zuko, stern as a teacher should be.
"Enough!" An angry Zuko stated, having hold back enough with his suppressed feelings, he walked up to his uncle to address him. "I've been drilling this sequence all day. Teach me the next set! I'm more than ready!"
"No, you are impatient." Iroh told his nephew off for it, sitting back down. "You have yet to master your basics." Ordering him. "Drill it again!"
Zuko clenches his teeth out of anger and soon unleashed it, with a fire kick backwards that was sent off towards one of the firebenders.
The unfortunate one tried to block the fire blast, got send back to his back by the power of it. Showing the boiled up power the prince had held.
Turning back to his uncle, with much restrained, Zuko spoke. "The sages tell us that the Avatar is the last airbender He must be over a hundred years old by now. He's had a century to master the four elements! I'll need more than basic firebending to defeat him. You will teach me the advanced set!"
Sighing out with closed eyes, Iroh concedes with much reluctance. "Very well," His expression however changed with delight as he pulled out a bowl. "but first, I must finish my roast duck."
Much to his dismay, Zuko was forced to watch how his uncle was munching his way through the bowl, an scene that he'd never could've gotten used to.
Like that of a certain blond with a liking to a ramen dish.
"I wonder who gave who that bad habit?"
Naruto wrinkled his nose when he suddenly felt like he needed to sneeze, but instead it went away.
"Felt like sneezing?"
"I thought so for a moment, yeah." Naruto said as he kept walking.
Both on foot, Kurama and Naruto were on their way, through the long snow covered fields that looked like a wasteland that nobody would dare to walk over. It was for the duo a normality now as they were following the abandoned track. After hours of walking, it was by now noon. The village now was a long distance away from them.
"We've been going for hours now, I wonder what the bald kid's been doing in the village." Kurama began as he was wanting to start a conversation of some sorts. "I know for sure Sokka won't like him."
"Don't be such a downer."
"Am I? The kid looks like he's not even aware what's going on around him. He didn't even bring up the fact he didn't see any men in the village. That alone would've raised some questions if I was in his place." Kurama brought up a really important point, but then sighs. "Just hope he doesn't destroy the watchtower."
Naruto gave him a look. "For what, for you to destroy it later?"
"Of course, that's my only fun to do so." Kurama smirked as he didn't hide his intentions. "Besides from eating and sleeping, butting heads with that boy is my only spare time I enjoy."
Unable to deny the funny side of it. Naruto just released a chuckle while they continued to walk.
"Also, you know Katara's been eager to speak to him one-o-one, right?" Kurama's focus now laid on that, with a smug grin. "I say you got to watch out, since that boy has had his eyes on her the moment they met."
"We're not in the North Pole, Kurama. That marriage mentality isn't here." Naruto shook his head at that assumption. "Katara's old enough to make her own decisions, she's taken that from her grandmother…besides, I don't think I am good enough for her."
"That's not how you were when we were travelling around." Kurama reminded him, bringing up."like when we were in the Earth Kingdom, or the North Pole, or even when we were in the colonies. I could even mention what happened in Ba Sing Se-"
"Don't bring that up." Naruto said to him. "My only regret was that I entered the upper levels…I still cannot believe a guy like that is in charge."
They continued their travels even when they happened to miss that behind them - a light was seen flickering from the far distance.
And it wasn't just any light - but a flare, a Fire Nation flare. Not knowing that a lot of trouble was on their way.
Hope you all have a good day, and I see you all next time.
