Optimus was about to check the status of the energon source when Ratchet spoke to him over the com link: "We've lost Miracle's signal."
Optimus froze. How could that be? Miracle had never left the base alone until now. He was very angry with himself for having relied too much on the watch transmitter.
"Ratchet, give me the coordinates of her last location," Optimus said.
"Already happened," Ratchet said.
Optimus immediately left, along with Bumblebee, Bulkhead and the twins. Because one thing was clear: He had to save Miracle. He would never be able to forgive himself if anything happened to her.
At the same time, Megatron dispatched his soldiers, who were equipped with an invisibility camouflage. These should storm the base of the Autobots. They flew over Optimus and his group without them noticing. When Megatron's soldiers reached the base, they immediately opened fire. The Autobots were so taken by surprise that some lost their lives in the first wave of attacks. How should you attack an opponent you can't see? The Autobots tried to work out a strategy with the humans. Ratchet, meanwhile, was desperately trying to reach Optimus. But he didn't hear him or ignored him... Anyway, their leader couldn't be counted on when his partner was apparently in Megatron's power.
Miracle had meanwhile landed at Megatron. The impostor Optimus had meanwhile unmasked and revealed his true form to her before he entered the base with Miracle in hand. Miracle had tried to fight back, but it was no use. This Decepticon was virtually unassailable to them due to its metal armor. Miracle was taken directly to Megatron. He was standing in front of a big screen watching his troops attack the Autobots. With each Autobot that fell, Megatron laughed evilly.
"Here she is, Master," Makeshift said, clutching Miracle tightly.
Megatron turned to them: "Aha... Interesting. So there you are. I heard that the last Prime has an extraordinary connection with a fleshling. Now it almost seems like a shame to me to have to kill you. But there is no other way. Do not take it personally."
Miracle glared at Megatron, "You're unlikely to make it," she said.
Megatron bent down and grabbed her in his claws.
"Are you sure? You should know by now that I can crush your kind with ease."
He squeezed Miracle tightly in his hand, almost choking her. Miracle clutched his hand. She tried to free herself with kicks. But it was no use, she had no chance. If a miracle didn't happen right away, Megatron would crush her.
In time, Optimus had reached the last recorded location where Miracle's signal had been lost. In the middle of a country road somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
"The Decepticons have obviously thought of everything," Bulkhead said.
"We have to find Miracle..." Optimus said worriedly.
At that moment he suddenly gasped. His Autobot companions turned to him in concern.
"It's… fine," Optimus said, straightening up. That had been a warning. Something had happened to Miracle and it only increased his concern for his partner. The Decepticons may have seemed to have interrupted the signal from Miracle's watch, but they didn't consider that the tires of the car they had kidnapped Miracle in had left marks on the road. With their special sensors, the Autobots were able to instantly isolate the tracks and follow them.
"That was a truck," said one of the twins.
"It's almost as if you kidnapped her, Optimus," Bulkhead said.
And he had no idea how right he was about that.
In their vehicle forms, they race down the street to rescue Miracle.
Megatron, meanwhile, had been pacing up and down, Miracle in hand, laughing. That's when Starscream appeared: "Master, The Prime is on its way here with 4 Autobots."
"Oh good. Send out a welcoming committee right away. I just want to see Optimus here. He should kneel before my eyes." Megatron said with a grin.
Starscream bowed and left. Miracle worriedly looked at the screens when suddenly a red/blue truck with flames on the sides appeared there. Behind him were a yellow/black car, a military vehicle, and a green and red car. Suddenly the vehicles were attacked from above. Several fighter jets, including Starscream, attacked them from the air. The cars made a few risky swerves that made their tires squeal. Optimus finally transformed, wings on his back, flying toward Starscream. He turned and lured Optimus away from his companions. Optimus kept firing at Starscream while stepping into the trap. Starscream landed on the mountain where Miracle was located. Suddenly it seemed as if he would disappear into the mountain. But it had been an elevator of some sort that brought Starscream back to the secret base. When Optimus reached the mountain, he stopped. He could feel something, the faint pounding of Miracle's heart.
