I'm so bored
It all started the first-day Izuku got bullied. Thanks to that incident, he had never set foot at another school. He visited his brother's school, sure, but for his education. He was primarily home schooled. This norm did not changed in eight years give or take. He didn't hate it. His tutor was an excellent teacher and constantly push the boundaries of his knowledge. On occasion he had the honour of his father or brother tutor him. Since he was in the house most of the time all he did was study. With no distraction. This allowed him to study ahead of the average school system.
It was great, at first.
His ferocious studying habits were the only things he could cling to. The only thing that made him feel any sort of superiority and pride. He had no physical power. Intense physical training was prohibited by his father. A lot of things were prohibited by his father. He was never allowed to go outside alone. Not after the kidnapping incident. He didn't like the idea of going out alone either. His normal appearance was too recognisable. With his freckled face, messy green hair and large eyes. He could be easily spotted in the crowd. That's why he designed a few going-out disguises.
At first, they were the typical kind. Oversized clothing, hats, face masks and thick glasses to hide his face. This then evolved the dyeing his hair. Learning how to do makeup. Changing his wardrobe. All so he can go outside. The house grew boring over the years. No one was allowed in unless invited. Even then getting an invitation was extremely difficult. His father wouldn't just let anyone into their new home. He liked it at first. It was a beautiful home deep in the mountains. He even had a workshop to tinker with his experiments. Anything he could have wanted or need was all there in that little hideaway home.
All except for his family.
Both his brother and his father were hard-working and highly-ranked heroes. They couldn't be with him 24/7. The only times they were together were during dinner when they came back home from a hard day's work. Even then sometimes they worked late or had nightly missions. Leaving Izuku all alone with a sidekick or two. The teen was often locked in his workshop. Tinkering away or reading another one of his dictionary thick books for the 10th time. So boring. That's why he created his current disguise. At least on occasion he can go outside. Be with his friends without fear of being recognised and taken again.
But it wasn't enough. Those short moments at the weekends when he can be a normal kid for a day weren't enough. Perhaps he was getting burned out after years of endless work and dedication to his projects and studies. We wanted something new. Something that can challenge his current self. Or at least something that could amuse him.
That's why he decided to go to school. Despite already being far beyond the average middle school education. To the point where there was nothing left for him to learn. He wanted the middle school experience. In the ideal world, his father would have let him go to U.A already but he was still 'too young'. The next preferred option would be go to the same middle school as his three childhood friends.
It was quickly shot down by his father since the school was not up to standard in his eyes. Also, dangerous according to his sources. The school already had a reputation for high bully incidents. Izuku would know. He dealt with one of them. There was also something about a couple of troublemakers being transferred in. There wasn't a lot of information about them since they were minors. Only that they were both gifted with extremely dangerous quirks. There was no way he would let his quirkless little boy go to such a place. So, he enrolled him in the same school all his other children went to.
Kokyu private academy
The school for prestigious young masters and ladies to enhance their education. A school of dignity, respect and the highest forms of eloquence. In short, rich kid's school. Unsurprising given the fact his father was a top hero with a high income. Why not put his son in the best school possible? Even better, to avoid media hounds, it was decided Izuku continue with his new persona. It took a little behind-the-scenes negotiation, but since his father was also a well-paying sponsor, it was easy for Izuku to settle in with his new identity.
A week had gone by and Izuku there's only one thing to say about his new school life.
"I'm so bored" the teen gasped woefully.
Despite all his hard work to try and eliminate the boredom, it's still here. Not only were all the classes super easy, but all the kids that go here were complete snobs. It was so hilariously stereotypical. The boy felt like he was in some sort of high school drama. There was even the whole popular kid hierarchy. With the wealthiest and most talented students strutting around showing off their new high-tech goods. Or brag about how amazing their parents are. This isn't the type of experience he wanted. He was so hoping for something a little more interesting than a high school drama setting. Maybe he should just go back to locking himself up in his workplace until his brother and father come back home.
For better or for worse, no one bothered with him despite being the new kid. He tried to be polite but most students turn their noses. Maybe it was the nerdy glasses. Or because he was a boy with longish hair in a curly ponytail. Everyone gave him a weird look before ignoring him completely. He didn't want to interact with these spoiled brats anyway. So, he spent most of his time up at the roof tinkering with small projects. A mask for Hitoshi, retractable needle mechanism for Himiko and gauntlets for Shuichi.
These little projects were the only think keeping him form death by boredom. He didn't need to socialise with some surface level snobs. That was until one afternoon.
One lunch time afternoon, Izuku was working on his projects when...
"Ah!"
Alerted to the sudden noise, Izuku rolled to the edge of the stairway door's roof. Usually, the students would be in their fancy lunch cafeteria or having tea parties in the luxurious gardens. Anyone could come up to the roof but if they did, they'd had to sit on the. Ugh. Floor. So Izuku was surprised to see a group of students burst through the doors underneath him.
They had ill intentions. The meeker one among them was being dragged by two stronger-looking boys. They were a squirmy blonde-haired boy with wide blue eyes. He wore the typical uniform of a near-black navy suit and white undershirt. The emblem of their school logo is stitched to their breast pocket. There was one other thing about the blonde. Around their stomach was a futuristic belt with an oversize lens. Some sort of support gear. This piqued Izuku's interest greatly.
Without remorse, the two stronger students flung the blonde to the roof's edged wall. They stuttered and muttered in a foreign language. It sounded like French as he begged for mercy.
Another boy walked into view with a snobbish swagger. They looked like the ringleader with their pompous posture. The other two boys flinched at the sight of them. Despite being much larger and certainly stronger than the skinny boy strolling up to them.
Mercilessly, the ringleader pulled at the blonde's long hair. "Do you think that fancy new belt of yours suddenly makes you equal to us?" They sniggered. He trapped his quirked nails at the belt in question. Making the teen below him twitch in fear.
"No...I just...Well." The blonde stuttered. He tried to find the right words but couldn't. His instincts were more concerned with running away. Too bad his back was blocked by some comedically mean-looking schoolboy henchmen. He looked like he would do anything to make a run for it, but all his exits were closed.
Izuku cringed. "So even at such a prestigious school people like those still exist."
He took out his phone and started recording the obvious events to come. The poor blonde tried to struggle back but the other two boys were far too strong. The boy was beaten down as he cried for mercy. All while the ringleader cheered in delight while flinging out every stereotypical rich bully phrases imaginable.
It was so painfully cliché and of course unethical. Why do bullies even exist? Most of them just peak at high school anyway. Never to be seen again in the spotlight since their most discerning talent is to make people miserable so they can feel great. It's disgraceful. Still, this was the most interesting thing that happened all week. Might as well squeeze some entertainment out of it.
A sly smirk curled the edges of Izuku's mouth. "This might be a good opportunity."
Izuku then jumped off the stairway entrance roof and landed effortlessly with a thud.
The sound of his landing alerted the group. Each of them stared at him with various looks of confusion. The two large minion bullies raised an eyebrow. They glanced at each other and back to their leader, asking what was happening. The ringleader sneered at the unwanted guest ruining his fun.
Meanwhile, the poor victim, uniform dishevelled and slightly ripped, looked out to the stranger in bewildering awe. There was a mixture of two things screaming in his eyes. One look was squinted and screamed for them to run away. It wasn't a good idea to get involved. Then it switched to wide in pleading eyes. Asking for help.
It was easy to choose which voice to listen to.
"Gentlemen," Izuku greeted the confused group cheerfully. His smile was so overly large. It looked fake. "Don't you think a 3-on-one is a little unfair?"
One of the larger bullies instantly flinched. They bit their bottom lip and shamefully turned away.
This didn't go unnoticed by Izuku's sharp eyes. "You seem rather reluctant. You do not agree with this? How unfortunate. You must be having a hard time," he concluded making the boy flinch. Sweat formed the base of their neck. It was enough to tell his deduction was correct. Which led his gaze to land at the snobbish ringleader hiding at the tail end of the group. The boy's eyes clearly showed rage. While his rapidly tapping fingers showed impatience. Izuku smirked at the tiny telling actions. "Is the instigator of this whole affair isn't even brave enough to do his dirty work?"
His ego being threatened, the snobbish teen extended his nails threatening. "How dare you speak to me like that. I'm..."
"Hire Tsuna. The headmaster's son." Izuku finished for him.
Of course, he knew who he was. He made it a point to gather intel before coming to this school. The most talked about was the headmaster's only child. Smart, handsome and quite the jock. Although, when you listen to the whispers of other students, the picture painted was less flattering.
They paint a picture of a power drunk child riding on the coat threads of his father's position. No one could touch him. Everything he wanted was handed to him. For example, the head of student council position. It wouldn't have been so bad, if it weren't for the fact they were completely incompetent. Most of the work was pushed onto the other members. Any incidents would also be on their heads. There were rumours that he cheats on teats but they've never been confirmed. His only true claim to fame was his athletic body. Being the captain of the football team. Strangely, whenever someone outshines him, they magically drop out of the team.
"You think your father can protect you from any grievances you cause. However, I think you'll find it hard to escape with this." Izuku then pulled out his phone. The screen showed the short recording of the beatdown and everything leading up to it. Despite the odd angle the quality was that was high. It was easily to tell who was who form voices alone.
The bullies' mouths dropped as they saw the video play. Their eyes burned with spite. A hit of guilt in the corners of one, but mostly spite. It clearly showed them beating up a student. There was no way to deny it. If this got out, it will be troublesome.
Izuku grinned at their hostile eyes. "So how about..."
Bam!
One of the larger minions rushed up and slammed a fist directly at Izuku's nose. A trail of blood flooded down his nostrils as he fell backwards. His phone slid from his hands and bounced on the concrete. It felt like he was kicked with a rock. Which wasn't far off since the boy's hand transformed into a rocky lump.
Meanwhile, the other minion quickly grabbed the phone. The device glowed with heat and a melted handprint dug into the phone's casing. It wasn't long until it became a molten piece of scrap.
The snobbish ringleader bellowed with laughter. He sounded like a cartoon villain claiming a much too-early victory. "What kind of a moron shows their hand like that? Serves you right for trying to play the hero."
This was his victory. The snobbish boy thought. The evidence against him was done away and now he has a new toy to play with. He'll have extra fun breaking a brat that dared not know its place. He was the king around here. If he wanted to let out some frustration, he had every right to. No one will ever dares to go against him. Unless they wanted to get expelled. He couldn't do that just yet. He needed to make sure this brat keeps their mouth shut.
Then, smoothly, The dark-haired boy raised to his rose.
The minion who punched the boy was startled. Usually when someone takes a direct hit from him using his quirk, even if he was holding back, they never come back up. Yet somehow this boy was able to stand up straight as if he just slipped.
He wasn't the only one shaken. The other minion was too and their ringleader lost his laughter. Only the blonde victim watch with absolute amazement.
Izuku then rubbed his nose. He smiled at the sigh of the blood that coated his gloves. "And so first blood has been drawn," he said in a gleeful tone. His currently wide red eyes gleamed at the startled group. They will make excellent test dummies. Elegantly, Izuku bowed to them like a matador performer ready to get in the ring. His eyes gleamed with the hunter's amusement as he let out a short chuckle. "Thank you. Now I can justify self-defence."
The larger minions had no time to react as Izuku landed a curved right hook to their side temple. The boy screamed at the sudden pain as knuckles dug into the soft part of the skull. The next time he blinked, another fist slammed at the lower part of his jaw. Forcing his teeth to clash together. It activated his pain receptors to run excruciatingly fast to his brain. He could feel himself become dazed. It was it over. He felt a strong kick to his shins. The feeling in his legs numbed as he felt himself falling. It wasn't long until he felt his body crash on the cold hard surface. Then slam! The heel of a shoe connected with his stomach. There was stinging at the back of his throat. As if the kick forced his stomach acid to shoot up and hit the back of his tongue. It was a bitterly stinging taste. Only enhanced by the waves of pain his body was experiencing.
The others watched with their mouths dropped. The larger boy was completely decimated in under a minute. His body was trying to curl to go to a protective foetal position, but couldn't since his body was being pinned down by a very firm leg.
The dark-haired teen dug his heel deeper into the boy's body making them yelp in pain. He gleamed menacingly at his final two opponents. Perhaps they can provide a little more fight. He then stepped on the fallen bully. Using their stomach as a launching board, he charged forward.
Perhaps it's because his usual training opponents were seasoned fighters, but while these boys look tough, they lacked skill. Their moves were juvenile. They relied more on pure brute force than technique. His eyes saw every attempt to hit him as if they were in slow motion. All it took was a simple sidestep or flexible arched monition to dodge. Even if they use their quirks. They're not effective if they can't touch him. Then he'd counterattack with his own precise hits. Thanks to his opponents' poor stances, it was easy to pinpoint weak spot. Honestly, it was thrilling. Hearing them gasp with pain and seeing the growing confusion and rage.
He should thank his brother next he sees him.
"Are you sure about this little bro? Wouldn't it be better if you learn how to use a weapon?" Touya questioned. He held out a hand to help his fallen little brother after he took a hit.
They had just started secret training. Izuku was determined to take as much free time as Touya was willing to offer. Still, the older Todoroki couldn't help but feel like he was being mean. His little brother's body was soft compared to his. Also, they were severely lacking in skill. Jumping in like this felt wrong, but his younger brother insisted. Personally, Touya thought it would be easier for him to follow in his footsteps. Use a sword or a different weapon rather than what he was requesting.
Of course, Izuku to denied it. His reasoning was simple.
"There's no guarantee I'll have a weapon in every situation. So I want to be ready when it happens." the young Izuku explained. His young round eyes load with fire.
There wasn't any guarantee he'd always have a weapon on him. Sure he could always use his surroundings but who knows what will be available. It's also much harder to hide weapons from his father. That's why he needs something he could rely on nearly 24/7. Something that he can use in a pinch. Leading him to ask for this simple request.
"I'll make my body a weapon and use hand-to-hand combat. So come at me!" the determined little boy challenged.
His older brother smirked and shrugged his shoulders. "Alright. Don't say I didn't warn you."
That was the start of Izuku training. His brother showed him no mercy. Just as he requested. Occasionally, they'd dragged in Kai to hide the aftermath. The brothers easily bribed him for his work. Although he wasn't always available so Izuku learned to hide any marks with makeup or baggy clothes. It wasn't easy at first. He was a scrawny child that could barely take a punch. Then his father decided to train him to bulk up his body. It wasn't long after that those bruising barely lasted. As Izuku's body got stronger, it came easier for him to learn.
It only took him a year to be able to consistently land a hit on his brother. It took another two for him to beat his brother in a fair fight.
"Ah!" The final minion screamed. He felt his arm slide from its socket as he collapsed on the ground. Wriggling in agony. He held his injured shoulder hoping that would end the pain.
With an innocent smile, Izuku crouch down to the boy. Then undid his damage with a firm and quick snap.
The boy cried louder as his bones suddenly snapped back into place. His whole body was shivering. He couldn't feel his legs. His mind kept yelling at him to get up but his legs wouldn't cooperate. They were shaking too much to even attempt to stand.
Then Izuku's eyes landed on the ringleader. They were wild yet sharp as a predator. The snobbish teen gulped at the sheer pressure those eyes pinned onto him. Like a child, Izuku smiled while tilting his head curiously. "What will you do now?" He asked innocently
Seeing themselves completely outmatched, the bully trio retreated. The ringleader yelled. Claiming that this new kid brat will regret humiliating him like this. He swore to make this brat's life a living hell. Expulsion wouldn't be the only thing he had to worry about.
Izuku only chuckled at the words. He considered them a challenge and bowed. Mentally thanking the group for giving him such entertainment. Also for being perfect living test dummies. He rarely practise his skills on living opponents. Outside of his brother, occasionally his tutor and friends, he never had the opportunity to test himself. At least not without gaining suspicion from his father. This was top secret and if this father found out. He could only imagine the man's inferno rage.
Izuku then heard movement behind him. The victim was still there. His eyes wide had a little fearful. Kindly, the dark-haired teen smiled as he extended a hand to the stunned blonde. "Are you ok?"
Snapping out from his amazement, the blonde hurriedly accept the hand. "Yes oh." Then his eyes wandered to the decimated phone and his smile dimmed. "What do we do? Those guys destroyed your phone."
"I wouldn't worry too much about that."
The dark-haired teen then pulled out a secondary phone. Almost identical to the first. He clicked on the screen and then presented an image of a social media page. It was a post that went completely viral. About how a privileged student in a prestigious school was seen throwing their weight around another defenceless student.
The post had already thousands of comments. Most of them were enraged at the sight of a poor child being bullied. Some shared their own bullying experience and how it was like this. Others commented about how the school had such a great reputation, only to be disappointed by such an outrageous display. There were even comments about parents wanting their child to join the school, but after this incident, they may have second guesses.
It was a digital mob chanted for retribution.
"The court of public option can be powerful. Especially regarding such a highly prestigious school." He said with a sweet smile, yet his tone was something else. It was darker with almost sadistic glee as the red eyes skimmed through the thousands of comments. Tomorrow will be fun.
The blonde looked up to the boy with both fear and adoration. "Who are you?"
Izuku bowed his head. He couldn't say his real name, but he shouldn't show hesitation as before. He needed to keep up the act if he wished to stay here. Besides, something told him his school life was about to get interesting. Or he'll make it interesting. Why end the game so soon when the fun was about to start? "My name is Mikumo Akatani. You?"
The blonde copied the other's posture. Only more exaggerated. With an arm over his heart, he bowed to his saviour like a foreign prince from a mediaeval fairy tale. "Yuga Aoyama. Pleased to meet your acquaintance."
AN: ...this has nothing to do with the manga I swear.
Also I'm leaving to sort some things out. So don't expect an update for a month. Maybe two. I'll be back eventually but for now. Farewell.
