Chapter 12: Round 2: Starlight Vs Colette
Previously
"LET HIM GO, YOU BAGUETTE BRAINED BRAT!..."Was shouted, followed by a blast that singed Colette's hair, much to her ire.
The teen sorceress saw this, stopped and gasped.
"What? I didn't send that, so who did?!..."Misty thought, baffled yet relieved by this new development.
She looked up and then saw who it was that fired.
"Starlight Spirit..."She whispered as she saw who came to rescue Danny.
And she looked pretty PEEVED to say the least.
Present Time
With Star
The blonde girl had flown as fast as she possibly could to Fenton Works, just in time as she saw her boyfriend in the process of being hoisted away like some damsel in distress.
Once she saw them, she reacted accordingly.
As fast as she could, she flew in an kneed Colette in the face, making her let go of Danny and spin in place backwards for about 3 times.
During that spin, Star smirked.
"Man, that felt good..."She said, only to recall what was happening when she heard a voice.
"STAR!..."Danny yelled as he fell.
Star flew in and saved Danny before he hit the pavement. She grabbed him and carried him safely to the ground, holding him in a similar way to how he usually holds her.
"Got you..."She said, in relief.
Her boyfriend smiled.
"Thanks..." Danny said, as he got out of her arms and was now standing on his own.
"I'm guessing you're up to speed?..." Star asked, stating the obvious.
Before Danny could answer, Colette flew in, backhanded her and sent her flying back.
"Starlight!..."Danny shouted in worry, butt Colette grabbed Danny by the arm in a forceful manner.
"Mine!..." Colette snapped.
"I'm wondering if this is how she feels?..." Danny asked himself under his breath as he tried to pull out of her grasp.
"Let him go!..." Starlight shouted, looking furious.
Her super-powered stepsister glared at her, but refused to release Danny.
"You should learn no one likes a third wheel!..." Colette stated, still holding onto a struggling Danny.
This enraged the blonde heroine, who was losing her already limited patience.
"I said let him go, you fake red-haired monster!..."Starlight demanded, followed by several blasts of green energy beams shot with incredible accuracy.
All the shots hit Colette in the face or chest, safely out of range of Danny, who was let go.
"Thanks..."Danny said, as Starlight managed to fly in and save him.
"Any time..."Starlight said, smiling at him and leaving Colette to bitterly huff.
"I can't get anywhere with you around! Before I claim my prize, I'll have to deal with you first!..." She said before attempting to fight back.
Starlight frowned, as she even dodged while holding onto Danny.
"She doesn't even seem to notice that you might get hit. Then again, she's always been too hard headed to notice details like that..."Starlight muttered.
"I'll be fine, Starlight. I just need to find a place to go ghost. Think you can keep the Wicked Witch of Casper High busy?..."He asked.
"Can do..."Starlight said as she quickly placed him on the ground.
Danny ran to find cover and a place to hide, but Colette spotted him and sent several blasts to keep him in place.
"What the?..."Danny exclaimed and cursed as he was nearly hit.
"You are not going anywhere!..."She said as she was about to go to him, but Starlight blocked her.
"I thought that this fight was between us..."Starlight said mockingly, glaring at her.
Colette glared back.
"Oui. Do not think that I forgot about you..."She said as her eyes and hands glowed red.
She fired, but Starlight managed to deflect each of her attacks. The blonde heroine there fired such passionate and determined firepower, a powerful stream that was all directed to her hateful stepsister.
"Take this, witch!..."Starlight said, as she fired, zigzagging around in instinct as she kept the beat at bay as she kept sending attacks.
"AHHHHHHH!..."Was heard.
The attack sent Colette flying away, and hit the ground painfully.
Starlight grinned, having enjoyed that.
"I so wish this has happened sooner...with the exception of you having these powers, that is…"Starlight quipped.
She flew forward, dodging the attacks to deliver a knee to Colette's stomach.
The feeling of her hard knee pressing into the soft stomach made her partially take that quip back, relishing how she could never do this in public. The catharsis felt really good right now.
Danny saw all of this and couldn't help but grin.
"My super hot girlfriend is beating up one of the biggest thorns of my side, and she can get away with it. Awesome!..."He thought, grinning as he saw Star making the next move.
While Colette was still dazed on the ground, the blonde heroine decided to take this a step further.
"I've always wanted to do this!..."She said as she grabbed Colette by the foot, knowing what will happen next.
Colette began to come to at that moment.
"Huh?..."She said, as she was just about to become coherent again.
Too late, as Starlight wasted no time in grabbing her by the feet and lifting her up off the ground by floating.
"Hey, what are you-..."Colette didn't even get to finish as the blonde heroine then did something unexpected.
She leaded back, grinned and proceeded to spin around many times, holding onto Colette by her ankles and making her spin as well.
"WHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT? STOOOOOOOOOOOP!..."Colette demanded, but her pleas were ignored.
Star kept spinning around and around, making her enemy very dizzy and helpless right now.
This continued for a few more moments until Starlight spun so much that they both looked like blurs at how fast she was going. It continued for a few more seconds before Star released the wicked girl, much like how an athlete does in the hammer throw.
The end result was a screaming Colette sent flying high up into the sky and could not stop herself.
"NO FAIR!..."Was the last thing she screamed before she was sent flying away, miles and miles away.
Once she was finally out of sight, the blonde heroine smiled and wiped her hands.
"Pathetic. She may have powers... but she's no true fighter..." Star said, before smirking. "Still, that was way too fun!..."She said, having enjoyed that.
"Uh...Starlight?..."Her boyfriend's voice snapped her out of that.
Star turned her head, looking at Danny.
"You okay? That psycho didn't do anything to you, did she?..."She asked, worried.
"I'll live..."Danny said, much to her relief.
"Thank goodness..."She said, happy to see that he was okay.
Unknown to them, someone had witness the entire battle and interaction...and was speechless to say the least.
With Misty
She saw the ordeal. She would have done something, but Starlight Spirit ended up being the one to save Danny and dominated Colette in battle.
Still, she let out a sigh in relief.
"He's okay. Thank goodness..."She said, letting out a breath that she didn't know that she had been holding.
Once she was sure that he was unharmed, the rookie sorceress was now debating over approaching Danny.
"Should I go out? What do I say to him?..." She thought, trying to consider her options.
However, she saw that Starlight Spirit approach Danny and was checking to make sure that he was okay.
"Are you positive you're okay? No broken bones or traumas that may require years of therapy?..." She asked, while the dark haired boy shook his head.
"No worries, I'm okay. You came just in time..."Danny answered, before frowning.
"I'm fine...despite the shocking turn of events with Colette the terrible..."He added.
"I know. I tried calling you to give you a heads up but you didn't answer. I'm just glad that I made it in time..."Starlight said, unaware that Misty heard this.
"Huh? What are they talking about?..."She thought, as she decided to just listen in on their conversation.
Starlight, unaware of this, was focusing on the most serious matter here.
Namely that her psycho of a stepsister now had super powers and just tried to kidnap her boyfriend.
"Just how the heck did that walking nightmare get powers anyway?..."Star asked, looking for any kind of explanation as to why this is happening.
"No clue, she didn't tell me anything. All she was trying to invade my personal space and threatened me if I didn't play along with her sick game and go on a date with her..."Danny said, feeling like puking in his mouth after saying all that.
Starlight felt a spike of anger at hearing that,
"Remind me to rip out all her hair the next time I see her..."She grumbled, her eyes and fists glowing bright green during that.
"Sure thing..."Danny said, angry over what had happened.
Misty kept listening in and found this strange.
"Why are they talking so casually?..." She thought, as she kept eavesdropping on them.
The blonde heroine and the dark haired boy were still discussing what had just happened, and how to deal with the super powered brat.
"I get the feeling that wherever Colette got her powers is the same place that you got yours..."Danny said, pondering
"Perfect, except that I still have no idea how she got powers..."Starlight said, looking frustrated to say the least.
"Huh? What are they talking about? Do they... know each other?..."Misty thought, wondering what that meant.
However, the two continued talking...and she also noticed that Danny seemed familiar with the heroine for some reason. It surprised Misty, but she had bigger things to worry about, namely what happened as the two tried to figure out the cause.
"I'm not sure if this is Desiree with her old tricks again. Maybe something else?..."Danny suggested.
"I dunno. Maybe, I didn't sense that genie ghost at all. If this was any ghost, I would have sensed it..."Star said, still confused on how events came to this.
"Well... we best each get home and make a game plan before she attacks again. I get the feeling that she'll be back soon..." Danny said, sounding serious.
Very serious.
Misty blinked.
"Danny's pretty composed, despite almost having been kidnapped by a psycho ghost girl. I'd admire his bravery if I wasn't scared for his life..."She thought, as she kept listening into this conversation.
Starlight nodded, agreeing with him.
"No duh, she's too stubborn to ever give up. But no worries, I'm not letting you out of my sight at all..."She declared.
"Good to hear. And knowing how nasty she is and assuming that she doesn't already know, she's probably gonna try and go after Star Strong next..."Danny said, and the blonde nodded.
"No duh. Not like I'm gonna let her get the chance..."Starlight said, ready to deal with her again.
"Let's go to my place and figure out our next move..."Danny suggested, gesturing to his house, which was only a few yards away.
Starlight nodded and Danny decided to head back on foot since it was so close, while she just phased inside the building with him.
Misty heard all of this and cringed. She felt her entire body shake with guilt and regret at what she had just caused. She just put people's lives in danger again, including the guy whom she had a crush on.
She couldn't believe that this is happened, but she knew that her magic was the cause of all of this.
"Oh man. I really messed up this time!..."She said, feeling guilty as she felt her conscious lecturing her like her mother would right now.
She would have approached Danny and Starlight and fessed up, but Misty began to realize just how dire this situation is right now.
Her magic just caused Colette to have powers...and she is clearly not hesitant to use them to get whatever she wants...and she clearly wants Danny and isn't afraid to use force.
She realizes now what "get rid of" truly meant.
She didn't mean something like sending Starlight Spirit to the ghost zone or scaring Star Strong into leaving Amity Park, like she had assumed.
No, Colette apparently had...less merciful ideas on how to get rid of the two.
She also heard what Danny said about Star being her next target, and Misty felt another wave of guilt.
"Oh man, Star's in trouble!..."She said, hating this.
She didn't like the blonde princess but she never wanted to put her in any danger. Unfortunately, Colette apparently didn't share Misty's restraint and it was obvious.
She wanted to get rid of Star and Starlight Spirit...and have Danny all to herself...by ANY means necessary.
The sorceress went pale, realizing how bad this has gotten.
"Oh man, this isn't good! How am I gonna tell Danny and that ghost girl about the spell? WHAT am I going to tell Danny and that ghost girl?!..."Misty thought as she realized that she was lower on choices to make.
She only had two options, to confess to her crush and one of the town superheroes that she is self taught sorceress in-training, who uses her own magic for her own selfish and petty gain...and how she is directly responsible for Colette's "wish" coming true...and how she is not at all amnesiac like she was tricking everyone into thinking.
The dark haired sorceress gulped, as she began to day dream that possible scenario of her going over to them right now and coming clean about everything.
Daydream
Misty now stood before her crush and one of the town's heroes.
She had gone to Fenton Works, knocked on the door and quickly confessed to everything that she has done.
"After I faked amnesia to keep the fact that I can still use magic a secret, I tried to use a magic necklace to make you fall in love with me, but it didn't work out..."She said to Danny, as she rubbed the back of her head, before continuing.
"Then I ran into that brat who used that necklace to wish for a way to get even with Starlight Spirit and your girlfriend somehow, and now she has super powers for some reason. I'm sorry for all the trouble, but no hard feelings...right?..."Misty asked innocently as she stood before Danny and Starlight Spirit.
Danny just silently glared at Misty, while Starlight Spirit fired a blast at her, leaving Misty as a pile of dust as a sudden gust of wind carried her ashes away.
End of Daydream
In Reality
Misty's daydream ended and she gulped, feeling like a block of lead dropped to her stomach and a giant wave of regrets washing over her.
Her knees were shaking as she felt a cold swear dripping from her. That was not the option she should take.
"Yeah, that is a 10 pound nope in a 5 pound hat!..."She said, as she was still shaking.
She was in trouble, and she'll get into even bigger trouble if anyone finds out about her role in this whole mess.
The dark haired girl then held onto her spell book. She knew that she desperately needed to fix this huge mess without her magical secret getting out and before Danny, Star or anyone else get hurt.
"I just gotta find that maniac, get rid of her powers and destroy that stupid necklace before anyone find out that I had anything to do with this!..."Misty thought as she ran.
She had to find Colette and undo that wish before someone got hurt and Misty was left with no other choice, but to sing like a canary about this incident that she indirectly caused.
Otherwise, not having a date with Danny would be the LEAST of her worries.
"If I don't hurry, Star's only leaving Amity Park in a body bag!..."She thought, dread filling her mind as she ran back home to find something that could help her fix this mess.
Meanwhile
Thanks to Star's "Colette throw", her rotten stepsister ended up crash landing in a place that's just as rotten as she is.
The city dump.
Colette ended up crashing head first into a pile of garbage and had been in a daze from the painful landing. Once she recovered, this is how she reacted.
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!..."She screamed as burst out of the pile of trash.
"My beautiful body and clothes, covered in filth! Unacceptable!..."She screamed, practically snarling.
She quickly floated into the air and immediately phased off the filth from her clothes and body.
However, she was still livid over what had just happened.
Her body was trembling as her eyes, fists and even her whole being was glowing red right now. She was almost frothing at the mouth with rage right now, as she felt herself get angrier over her misfortune, and the fact that she still didn't get what she wanted.
She refused to accept this!
"This...means...war!..."She said, eyes glowing brighter as she was determined to get payback.
The spoiled brat/super villainess floated in the air, still angry and wanting vengeance.
"Mark my words, Danny vill be mine by the end of this day! And those stupid blonde fools will regret the day they ever met me!..."She said as she took off into the sky, ready to plan her next move.
