Chapter 6: Of Lost Hobbits

Taking turns, Frodo, Pippin & the two Farfields were able to finish their tale. As soon as they had, Ferdy wordlessly left the flat. He didn't tell anyone that he was going nor his destination. 00BB went with him.

"It would be best if someone takes up the mantel of 'Hobbit-sitting', so to speak" suggested Verde. As she said this, she was looking at Sherlock and John.

"I zought you meant Ferdy or 00BB" Fleur muttered, sarcastically.

"Neither of them are here for this discussion" Verde tried to explain, with exasperation "I thought you knew that, sister sweetie"

"Where did they go?" inquired Pippin.

...

After leaving the flat, Ferdy & 00BB (on an S.H.I.R.E - Hobbit-scale - quadbike/ATV) were speeding towards St Barts. Once they were close enough to it, instead of dismounting, the two Hobbits literally drove up one of its walls. When they'd run out of wall, Ferdy (with 00BB holding onto him to keep from flying off) did a somersault/flip through the air, before landing (and parking) upright on the roof.

While the events just described for you were happening, you must be thinking "What did happen to Merry & Sam?". The remainder of this chapter is going to (hopefully) answer that question.

The Brandybuck and the gardener found themselves (after being separated from Frodo & Pippin) face to face with one of the big folk. She had scars on her face, a bionic eye in place of where a real eye used to be, a cybernetic arm where she used to have one and a aura about which seemed to say, if not screamed "I have every intention of hurting you".

The Hobbits started slowly edging away from her.

"You git outta 'ere, Mr Merry" Sam whispered to his companion "I'll hold 'er off"

"You sure, Sam?" Merry whispered back.

"Mr Frodo an' Mr Pippin 'ave to know we're still alive, if you get my meanin'"

"Don't think I do" Merry quietly, returned as he started leaving "Good luck, Sam"

"To both o' us" Sam said to himself, as Merry left.

...

No sooner had Merry gone, than the woman began to speak. Well, actually she didn't say anything; she just turned and started to walk away, without a word or sound. Just as soundlessly, Sam went after her.

...

Unaware of where his compaanion (and friend) had just gone (or whom he'd gone after) continued back the way he and Sam had come before they encountered the woman. He only stopped to rest in an alley, once he was sure he was not being watched.

He found himself waiting.
