Holy sherbet, it's been a while, huh? I think it's been more than a while. But hey, on the bright side, a new chapter of Mario Mentions is here! Yay!

I wanted to write this in 2022 around the time the Sonic 2 Movie was released, but I guess lazy me was at it again, or was it school-filled me? Maybe it was both. Heh…

*sigh* I'm getting the feeling that a lot of you are kinda mad at me for taking almost over a year to upload something on FanFiction. Sorry!

Hopefully this chapter will make it up for you all! And if it doesn't, sorry again!

This is an original chapter this time! First time since my plagiarism chapter… It's been a while since there was something like that too! And it's a crossover with Sonic as well! Way past cool, huh? Been a while since I said that...

(Also, there might be some Sonic 2 spoilers, so BEWARE! Kinda ironic since this story talks about spoilers. Wow.)

Sonic and Mario were at a movie theater, alongside their friends. They were coming to see the sequel to Sonic's first movie, Sonic the Hedgehog 2. Inside the theater, Mario and Sonic were taking their seats.

"Man, I've been waiting for this sequel for a long time!" Sonic smirked. "Can't wait for it to start!"

"Same here!" Mario smiled. "I'm excited for this! Hopefully it'll be good."

"Hey, speaking of which," A voice said, overhearing what they said. That voice came from Larry Koopa. "Did you know in that movie, Knuckles gets betrayed by Robotnik?"

Annoyed groaning can be heard.

"Aw come on!" An orange Yoshi groaned.

"Pfft… That's nothing!" Iggy replied. "I heard that he successfully gets the Master Emerald and actually absorbs its power!"

More annoyed and louder groaning! What a somewhat lovely sound!

"DUDE!" Sonic yelled.

"You do realize we didn't see this film yet, right?" Toad asked angrily.

"Really? Well, wait for this…" Larry smirked. "The Chaos Emeralds are in this film, and they tur-"

"Whoa there!" Mario stopped him. "I wouldn't recommend saying anymore things that we haven't seen in this film yet. That is called a spoiler."

He turned to the viewer.

"Saying important details like what you said earlier can take away the surprise and anticipation!" Mario explained. "Especially when there are some who haven't even seen the movie yet."

"Really?" Larry asked.

"Yeah, it could end up ruining the movie for others." Mario continued.

"Hmm…" Iggy smirked. "What about that post credits scene with Pr-"

Suddenly, a flashlight shined on him and Larry.

"I'm sorry, but you two are being disruptive to the audience." A purple Yoshi employee said. "I'm going to have to ask you two to leave."

"AW, COME ON!" Iggy yelled as he and Larry left in anger and annoyance.

"And this doesn't just apply to films," Mario said. "It can also apply to other pieces of media, like video games, TV shows, and more!"

"Mama mia…" Luigi replied.

"They can be everywhere too, including the internet." Mario continued. "But don't worry, just try to avoid them, and if they get out of hand, walk away and avoid the internet if you're on there."

"Okie-dokie!" Luigi smiled as Mario turned to the viewer.

"And don't talk about spoilers to friends, family, and others if they don't want to be spoiled."

"Hey dude, I think the film's about to start!" Sonic smiled as the film finished up its last promo.

"AND NOW, OUR FEATURE PRESENTATION." The screen displayed and said.

"Let's-a-go!" Mario cheered before turning to the viewer again. "And remember, no spoilers!"

Welp, another chapter done! Glad I got to make this one! It was fun!

It might also be fitting especially when the Super Mario Bros. Movie comes close to releasing, and afterwards as well! Who's excited for the movie?

Anyways, I decided to answer the reviews at the bottom section of this chapter instead of the top one, 'cause I felt like it, and the top section is already pretty long. XD

Detective Desires

Those were actually from the shows Super Mario World and the Adventures of Super Mario Bros. 3, but yeah, they did a nice job trying to tackle those issues. Sonic also did that in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog with the segment Sonic Sez- I-I mean, Sonic Says. It's actually what I based this story off of.
