First Person POV

I found myself within a dream once again. Standing at the courtyard where I once again saw Rider along with those people who were covered like a shadowy silhouette. This is the forth time where I would see these kinds of visions. But, I proceed to hear them as they speak.

Uesugi Retainer: "Our allies have won yet another battle. And it's all thanks to you, Lady Kagetora."

Rider nodded with her usual smile.

Nagao Kagetora: "…All right then, I'm trusting you to handle the rest. I'm going to report this victory to Bishamonten."

Her retainer bowed.

Uesugi Retainer: "Yes, my lady!"

Then, Rider leaves the area as I watched but the others began talking.

Uesugi Retainer: "…Phew. I always freeze up when Lady Kagetora's around."

Uesugi Retainer 2: "Me too. And I still don't know what she's thinking, refusing to cut off this territory even after winning the battle."

Uesugi Retainer: "Indeed, her mind is a mystery as well…"

Uesugi Retainer 2: "Well, Lady Kagetora is the avatar of the gods. I suppose we mere humans could never hope to understand her."

Uesugi Retainer: "Perhaps not. For that matter, as of late, I cannot even bring myself to look her in the eye… It feels as though she sees right through me, and I have nowhere to hide…"

So… even her retainers fear her. First was her father, her brother, and now her own army. They're always afraid. Nagao Kagetora… She also goes by another name Uesugi Kenshin, the Dragon of Echigo. A ruthless warrior who slaughters her enemies without remorse, no mercy. Whenever she goes into battle. I can always see her smiling. As if she is enjoying herself. As if the battlefield around her is a playground where she sees it as fun. But this begs the question… Am I scared of her? Is it why I can't look at her face? Is it her smile? I don't know… it sent a chill right down to my spine. But, it's been two months… I asked her to train me in sword combat and she reluctantly accepted. My training was last month so it lasted for nearly thirty days. When I first summoned her the first time I met Rider… She was willing to help me win the Holy Grail War. But after that things changed a lot for the last two months… I… I ended up becoming an entirely different person. No longer showing emotions of kindness. I fear there is an invisible hole in my chest. The more it gets bigger, the more it takes away. Eating my morality away from me. Rider has always been kind to me. An ally, my trusted Servant. So, I decided to head inside where Rider went. Just as I did. I stood there and watched her talking to the statue of Bishamonten. Her eyes begin to shift as if she's an entirely different person.

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - Memories of the School

Nagao Kagetora: "…Ahahahaha! Help me, Bishamonten. For some reason… I cannot understand people. I know that people are weak and frail… I know that they curry with those stronger than themselves, and trod mercilessly upon those weaker. Yet despite that, I have devoted my life protecting them, in the name of virtue and morality. I have slaughtered many, many people on the battlefield. That is all my strength is for… this monstrous strength that my father, my brother, and my sister feared. I will no doubt kill many, many more people as the wars continue. But… am I truly protected by killing others in this way? Help me, Bishamonten… I cannot understand people, no matter how hard I try… Ahahaha… Ahahaha! "

She was laughing as she was acting inhuman. But for the first time… I saw tears coming out from her eyes… something was not right with her. I lost two people that I cared about and my mind refuses to let it go. Rider on the other hand is a killer, a ruthless warrior. She slayed her enemies throughout the war during the Sengoku Era. What is this feeling in my chest… pain? It's like a knife stabbing right into my heart. Is this what it feels like to understand her pain? Her feelings? Her inner sadness? Yet, she continues to smile as is. Yet, do I get the feeling that I'm the exact opposite? Sure, she smiles but… I continue to endure this sadness and pain within my mind and heart. However, my legs start to move on their own… What am I doing? But as soon as my mind tells me… Yes… I must comfort her. She may be a Heroic Spirit. But these Servants have lives. As soon as I started to approach and hug her within this dream… Rider noticed as she felt it in surprise. Then…

[CRRRRRACK! SHATTER!]

The background shatters like glass as it transitions to an endless body of water we're standing on. Then, she placed her hand onto my arms when I hugged her from behind. I can feel the warmth… yet, it was a bit cold. However, I have yet to speak… So I did.

"You're not alone, Rider… You still have me." I continued. "I feel your pain, your confusion, and the reason why they fear you… You were alone this whole time… Aren't you?"

"Yeah… it seems so…" Nagao continued as she had her eyes closed with a smile. "No matter how many times I talk to Bishamonten… I just continue to stray myself. My own family… my people… they continue to fear me no matter how much I protect and kill. This… this is who I am… a monster…"

"No. You're not." I said to her as she noticed when I said it. "You were never my monster. Even though I summoned you as a Servant. You promised me to secure a win in this war. But I begin to realize something… For the last two months. I felt this fear and anxiety about… wanting to take my own life after Fiore passed away… and was forced to kill Francis before he turned. I have this fear that everything would be taken away from me. But I understand now… You are my Servant. So I ask you… please… just stay at my side for just once… Even if you can't even understand love, that's fine. So instead, let us be friends. A trusted ally that I can rely on."

"So you do really care for me that much. I can see why. Yet, you are an outcast, hated by people in your life. You cling to this life that you value so much. And now you wish to look after me? After all the pain I have been through? You are a strange Master indeed. But very well… I will continue to fight by your side. I will pledge my blade to you, Ryuga. Don't die on me, okay?" Nagao said to me with a kind smile as everything blinds us with the whitest flash. And so, this moment… this vision ends. Waking to reality once again.

4/20/2024 Forvedge Residence, Willowton, Siesta City Morning - Clear Sky

And so I wake up, here in my room. Here in this home… Fiore's home. But it's not her home anymore but mine. The room is still the same and clean as is. I was on my bed when I slowly opened up my eyes… Just what was that dream? A vision… Making a proposal towards my Servant? Is this supposed to be the future? I don't know what to say… My mind hurts as it gives me some small headaches… Maybe it's the bed that made me uncomfortable. But there was standing next to my bed as she was looking at me with her usual but kind smile.

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - Troubled

"Good morning, Master. Are you feeling better now? Though, I'm unsure about your decision to let that heinous woman in our home." Rider said to me about it. Right… Yu Meiren. She said that she'll stay at my home for some reason. Plus, she announced that she'll become my ally if I need to win the war but… Bryce is the only problem that I'm concerned with. "Though, to put it more in modern terms… She is a freeloader."

"Calling her freeloader would make her angry." I informed her about it as she let out a smug look on her face.

"Eeeeh?~ If that's the case. I might as well decapitate her, nya.~" Rider said with intent.

"N-No. Don't pick a fight with her. Look, I know how you feel but I intend to talk to her so stay calm." I continued as my Servant complied. "Let's just head downstairs and see what she's doing."

I told my Servant as we took downstairs and to the main living room where Yu was seen relaxing on the couch where she was seen reading one of my mangas… Chainsaw Man. Of course, she would read it and this was the next volume that I had bought from the store. I did see the first volume left on the table signaling that she had read it already. Plus… How the hell did she even find them? I always keep them in my room. Unless she sneaked in and took it while I was asleep during the early morning.

"Ahem…" I coughed once to get her attention. "May I ask why you're reading my Chainsaw Man manga?"

"What does it matter? I just want to read this damn book." Yu said in slight annoyance.

"Manga, Yu…" I corrected it. "Still. How the hell did you snatch it from me? I always keep it in my room…"

"You left your door unlocked. I was about to ask you to give my shoulder massage but this one will do. Besides, this is… giving me quite a mood." Yu said as she flipped the page to continue reading as I let out a sigh and approached her.

"Okay? But can you make sure to put it back in my room when you're done reading?" I said to her as she responded when she lowered the manga to show her disdain on her face.

"I will, okay? Can you just leave me alone already?" Yu said in irritation as I spoke.

"I'll leave you alone. But there is one more question I wanna ask…" I continued. "If you don't have a Master… Is it possible if I can make a contract with you?"

"Huuuh!? Are you that stupid!? That's impossible for you to make a contract with an additional Servant! The Holy Grail will only limit you to summon just one! There has not been a Holy Grail War where you can summon two as a single Master. Plus, if you want to make a contract with me. You have to sever your contract with your current Servant." Yu informed me about having two Servants which is apparently impossible. But, no way in hell I'll sever it.

"Actually, nevermind." I shrugged and shook my head to forget it but I looked at her. "Plus, if you're summoned as this Counter Force. What's your reason for being summoned here, exactly?"

"An impending calamity." She responded.

"A what?" I asked.

"An impending calamity that will soon threaten this very world. I don't know who's starting it but my task is to stop it as the will of the planet ordered me. Yet… I get the feeling that it's getting closer…" Yu explained the reason until… "And why the hell did I have to explain this shit to you anyways? Can you just go!? I swear… you're a handful!"

"Right, right… I'll leave you to it… And make sure you put it back in my room! Rider, lead head to the rooftop. I'm going to water the plants." I told my Servant as I took the stairs once again that it would lead me to the greenhouse where I have to maintain it ever since Fiore passed away from the injuries.

Now, I'm the only person left to take care of it. The plants were the only thing she loved the most. I mean, she is a nature-loving person so I can understand why. But… my heart hurts emotionally. I miss her. I really do. Unable to cast aside my doubts. Trapped. But, I proceeded to grab the handle of the watering can as I turned the knob to fill it with water. Just as the water reaches nearly full. I quickly turned off the hose as I headed to the plants within the greenhouse as I proceeded to put it lightly on them. The droplets of water streams down from the end as it trickles on the plants through some small, tiny splashes. Though, doing this all by myself isn't too much of a task but I hope this will make her happy. As soon as I stopped watering… My mind begins to remind me about Takami. But the visions in my mind become conflicted with Fiore as well. I could feel it as a migraine as I placed my left hand to my head to ease it from this memory. Why can't I even let it go? But as soon the voices begin to swarm into my mind…

"Master. Think you're gonna be free today?" Rider asked me as the voices in my mind stopped as I noticed and looked at her.

"I do. Why?" I asked her as I was a bit oblivious.

"Because… You gotta take me to the same place again! The one that they sell Sakes and Ramen. After all, I still remember it all too well. So, can we go there after you're finished?" Rider asked me about going to that same place again. I can see why she's addicted to alcohol. Or rather we Japanese people call it 'Sake' for a reason. Then again, even if I refuse… I don't know what will happen next. Master-Servant relationship is critically important if you want to win the war. And it'll always be the number one tip that I learned from Irina and True Caster. But, I had no choice…

"Alright, fine. But in one condition." I continued. "We go there at night. I have a lot of responsibilities to take care of this house. These plants might suffer without water if I don't water them."

"Hmmm… Very well, Master. If you wish to head there during the night. Then I suggest you should get some good meals before heading off into battle! Perhaps you could get yourself some sake as well." Rider said with her usual smile and expression as I didn't look at her but heard her loud and clear.

"I have no interest in alcohol." I said to her bluntly.

"Heeeh? No interest in sake? More for me, I suppose. I'll go back inside the house once you finish watering the plants. Just let me know when you're ready. So don't keep me waiting." Rider said as she turned around and left as she closed the door.

Background Music End

Now, I'm left alone here just to take care of the planets in order to make Fiore happy. Yet, I can still feel the emotional pain lingering in my mind. But don't worry, Fiore… I'll keep on fighting for you. As long Bryce still lives, I'll hunt him down no matter what. Then, I ran out of water as I didn't notice for a second. I took a small sigh as I left it on the floor and stood up. However, my phone began to vibrate from my pocket as I grabbed it out… Huh? The messenger's name is Jinako Carigiri. Right… I remember. Jinako is one of my second friends who I met in Tokyo when I was attending high school with Kanata at the time. After all, I am a country boy from Yongen who moved to the big city of Tokyo. My grandmother isn't a fan of moving to big cities since she has a rice cracker shop to take care of. Before I went to Siesta to take part in a war. This was a year back right before the incident. I think it was around November of last year. But, my mind begins to react as I stand still and close my eyes during this daytime as I begin to remember something. This one particular scene… That's right… I was with Kanata when Jinako invited us to the arcade center. The mall that we went to that she chose was AEGIS Mall which was situated somewhere within Tokyo. As for her… Jinako… She's a high school dropout apparently. She used to live with her parents in Narita but moved to Tokyo to live alone. From what I can tell, she is a NEET… or a shut-in by proper terms. After all, me and Katana did first meet her in the arcades during the time we attended high school just to kill time. While she was shy to meet us, we managed to earn her trust thanks to Kanata's conversation about games. Did I forget to tell you that she's a gamer and an otaku? Yeah. I'm not kidding. She LOVES playing games whether it be an arcade or at home playing MMORPGs. She did tell us that she is apparently the best PvP player in Erthesia Online, ranked at number 2. However, she's apparently into fighting games as well. Her current favorite is the Bullet Crisis series. And so, my mind begins to imagine that moment when it was me, Kanata and Jinako were playing arcades there at the mall in Tokyo…

-[Flashback: The Three]-

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - Joy

The memories from the past plays where it was post high school graduation. I was seen standing while playing a shooting game of Bullet Crisis 7 Re:dux with Jinako and Kanata watching. Having my hands on the trigger where I had to shoot the enemy whenever the game threw at us. However, Jinako suggested playing the game in the hardest difficulty to see who can last long as well as having the most points. I was struggling to aim and shoot as I was overwhelmed by taking too many hits and taking a bit long for myself to reload. That is until…

"Tch… Damn it!" I cursed as I lowered the gun down to see that I lost. My health was down to zero and there was nothing I could do about it.

"Ahaha! Yay!~ It seems that I've won this time around! You gotta have better aim, Ryuga-kun. Don't tell me… Are you washed up?" Jinako said with a sarcastic smirk on her face.

"I'm not too good at playing games. This is all new to me." I said to her as I put the arcade gun away on the cabinet. "Besides, I'm not a pro like you."

Jinako had brown long wavy hair that reached down to her back and wore black frame glasses as she wore a shirt, jeans, and sneakers as she had a ribbon-like hairpiece on the front side of her head to her little left. And there was Kanata, he has black hair, wears a sky blue hoodie, pants, and sneakers as well. Though he seems to be calm over it.

"C'mon! You should get into Erthesia Online when you have a chance! I'll 100% definitely teach you the ropes of the game. Kanata-kun, you play it as well, right?" Jinako said to him with her usual energetic mood like a geek.

"A little now and then. Though, this does bring up the question. Why this place? We usually hangout in Akihabara most of the time just to hit up the arcades there." Kanata asked her as she puffed out her chest with pride as she had both hands on her hips.

"Ufufufu…~ Unlike any ordinary arcades in Akihabara. This one has way more games than you expect. Like, there's tons of them! They even have that new arcade cabinet for that PvP game. Plus… It's from the Erthesia series! Isn't it cool!? It's a 3-on-3 brawler which makes it even better!" Jinako continued as she looked at us. Getting you two warmed up on playing Bullet Crisis was only the start."

"But I didn't even play it yet…" Kanata whispered to himself as I heard what he said.

"Now, I need you two to play the new Erthesia Versus with me. We'll be the best stacked team in no time! So what are you standing around for? Let's go already-" Jinako was interrupted as we heard someone speaking behind us.

"Well now. I never knew the drop out would hang out here in this arcade. Color me surprised." The voice of another person arrived along with two other people who were with him. The young man with white hair who wore his black jacket that was unzipped but his white hair was pulled way back to sport his 'cool guy' looks. I know his face. It makes me want to cringe. His name is Akihiko Fujimaru. He was in the same grade as me and Kanata. We may have graduated but he is still the same person. But also the same asshole as always. After all, he's a former team captain of the soccer team. Helped our high school win a few trophies here and there all because of him. Though, I never joined the sports club or anything. All I did was keep things to myself without trouble. Kanata, for example, used to be part of the sports club. Since our graduation, he somehow has some connections with Jinako. I mean, Jinako here is a high school dropout.

"W-Why are you guys here? You're just going to laugh at me because I'm weird, huh?" Jinako said in her timid mood as she became anxious.

"What is it to you? We came here to play some games to kill time. After all, experiencing adulthood for the first time is a mood changer." Akihiko continued. "In the end, you're just a typical shut-in who'll do nothing but play games for a living. Seriously, do you think videogames are some sort of escapism to you? Get a real hobby."

"I suggest you stop…" Kanata stepped in for her as I watched. Of course, Kanata is the type of guy who would stand in for others. To protect their friends, even Jinako. "I don't know why you want to be this antagonistic. But I suggest you should go…"

"Hmm? Wait a sec, I know you. You used to be part of my soccer team until you left. Kanata Akagi, right? I can't believe you're friends with that NEET. Don't you have anything to do in life?" A disappointed Akihiko spoke in confusion with both hands on his pockets.

"What does it matter? I'm tired of you looking down on her. So start acting like a real human being and stop talking trash." Kanata stood his ground with a stoic look on his face. This would make Akihiko not pleased.

"Stop talking trash, huh? You got a lot of nerve to say that shit as if you're high and mighty. I don't hate you and all but seeing you getting on my bad side really grinds my gears. You wanna get decked in the face that badly?" Akihiko threatened him as Kanata reeled back a little.

"N-No…" Kanata continued. "You see… Jinako-san invited us to the arcade to play the new Erthesia Versus game that was recently added."

"Huh? That game? I heard of it. Hmm…" Akihiko pondered and looked at us.. "Be grateful that I won't punch you in the face so don't make me regret it. So instead… I wanna challenge you three. Jinako, Kanata, and that nobody who I don't know."

"A nobody?" I said in question.

"The game's three on three, right? I'm going to steamroll you, you'll start groveling down towards my shoes. After all, it'll be a joy to curbstomp your pride." Akihiko smirked at Jinako as she was rather annoyed but stared down at him.

"We'll see about that! Ryuga-kun, Kanata-kun. Let's show these losers that we're unstoppable!" Jinako said to us as if we were not ready. Though. We have no choice. For Jinako's sake.

"The problem is… We don't know how to play…" I asked her.

"Pfft! The arcade gives out in-game instructions so it should be fine! So let's hurry and kick this guy's ass!" Jinako cheered as she quickly grabbed both of our hands as she pulled us there to the game that we're supposed to play.

And so, we were dragged onto the seats of the arcade with the controls in our hands as our opponents were on the other side of the same game they're playing. Though, me and Kanata were completely unsure. The biggest problem is… We don't know how to play.

"Err… Jinako-san? This is alot to ask but… We never played it before…" Kanata informed her as he was pretty oblivious as I am.

"What are you talking about?" Jinako lightly whined as she looked at us. "If we can beat these losers, we'll definitely win! So look at the controls! You'll be fine!"

"The controls…" I said to myself as I looked at the controls on how to play on the arcade cabinet… I see. It's not that bad but… I don't think we'll win this.

"Haha! You're going to regret fighting me in this game! Fortunately, I'm surprisingly good at it." Akihiko spoke from the other side of the cabinet as we pretty much ignored him.

"Alright, guys? Are you ready?" Jinako said to us as we were about to speak but she continued. "Alright! Let's kick some ass!"

"But we didn't even speak!" Me and Kanata spoke in unison as our 'teamwork' was completely thrown into disarray. However, we returned to our focus as we were ready to take on Akihiko and his lackeys over a game of Erthesia Versus Arcade.

"Well whatever! Let's get 'em!" Jinako announced as we were forced to ready up as we chose our respective characters.

[THREE MINUTES LATER…]

Background Music | Persona 3 Portable OST - Sun

"No… No! I can't believe this! How the hell are you this good! Your teammates were in my way getting to you. But you outsmarted me… You're going to regret this, punk!" Akihiko was furious at his defeat as he was planning to resort back to attacking her with his fists but his friends quickly stopped him as they held him back.

"W-We're truly sorry, Jinako-san! Akihiko was still in a bad mood and we'll do our best to keep him away from you! Again, we're very sorry! Please excuse us!" One of his friends quickly bowed to us in apology as they started to drag him away while Akihiko was grunting in anger as he was trying to get to her but they finally left the arcade as it was just us three.

As the three of us left the arcades and decided to hangout at the cafe in the mall. We decided to have a good chat here and there. Jinako remains unsure of what job she'll find. Same goes for Kanata. After all, adulthood is tough.

"Man… nothing beats better than some fresh macchiato…" Jinako said in bliss as she sipped it. "Speaking of which… Ryuga-kun. Have you got any plans since you and Kanata-kun have graduated?"

"Err yeah… I do." I continued. "I am to return to Yongen. My grandmother wants me back there to run the rice cracker shop she runs so I have to help and look after her."

"Really? That old town village in the mountains?" Jinako lets out her unimpressed and boorish response. "You said you were born and raised in Yongen until you moved to Tokyo at an early age, right?"

"Pretty much. That town means a lot to me. Though, I haven't got a chance to experience it but… I did get a message that my sister Takami is going to pick me up once I leave. Sorry if this is way too sudden."

"Hey, it's alright. We can understand your reason to return to that town. To think you'd live in the mountain village of the Nakasendo Trail… It amazes me." Kanata said in some slight amazement. But I simply waved off my hand as a gesture.

"N-Not really. It's nothing out of the ordinary. Though, I'm going to miss you two." I said to them as Jinako lightly slammed the table.

"What are you talking about?" Jinako continued. "We can still communicate with our phones so everything is alright. Then again… I might be very busy with games and stuff."

"Of course you would do that." Kanata sighed as he continued. "Again, you can still message us or we'll message you when you're back at the village. After all, we're friends. Aren't we?"

"Yeah… We are." I said until my phone emits an notification as I quickly grabbed it out. Of course, the message was from Takami. So I stood up and looked at them. "Seems my sister is waiting for me outside the mall. I'll be heading off now. Take care of yourselves."

"You too, Ryuga-kun!" Jinako replied happily as she waved her hand.

"Safe travels to Yongen, Ryuga. We'll message you if things happen." Kanata said as I nodded as he prepared to leave. And just as that… the flashback was engulfed in light as it finally ended.

-[Flashback End]-

As my mind begins to return to reality. I was still on the rooftops of the greenhouse as I still held the phone in my hands. So, I proceeded to look at her message that she had sent me.

[Group Chat #4]

[Members: Ryuga, Jinako]

Jinako: "Ryuga-kun? Are you there? Kanata just told me that you're living in America right now? Right?"

Ryuga: "Oh. Hey Jinako. I'm at Siesta City. Some islands in America. I'm doing just fine. Been a while hasn't it?"

Jinako: "It really is. It feels weird without you around. It was only me and Kanata. And I'm here staying in my apartment playing video games all day."

Ryuga: "Is that so? You don't have a job yet?"

Jinako: "Actually. I do but I somehow picked up this recruitment poster of this thing that I never heard about."

Ryuga: "A recruitment poster?"

Jinako: "Yeah. Kanata recommended it to me. He said he found two of them at the transit station in Tokyo. I think it's called the Chaldea Foundation?"

Ryuga: "Interesting. What does it focus on?"

Jinako: "Hmm… medical research? Environmental conversation? I dunno. I did look up their website on my computer."

Ryuga: "So you plan to join it then?"

Jinako: "Maybe. If Kanata manages to apply, maybe I'll apply as well. Actually… You should do the same!"

Ryuga: "Eeeh… I'll think about it. Right now. There are alot of things for me to do in the city. Sorry if I'm being blunt. My hands are pretty much full right now. But if I do have the time. I'll let you and Kanata know."

Jinako: "Really!? You promise?"

Ryuga: "No promises but I'll let you know once I'm able."

Jinako: "Okay!~ I'll be looking forward to your return to Tokyo, though!"

Ryuga: "Yeah… I hope so, too."

And so. I exited the messenger app on my phone and turned it off, putting it in my pockets as I decided to take a deep breath. So I left the rooftop and headed downstairs to find Rider chatting with Yu. So, I spoke.

"Rider." I said. "We're going to the place you want to go."

"Ahaha! Well said, Master. I know you would say yes! Come now, let's go!" Rider then said with her usual smile as we decided to go.

"Oh and, Yu?" I continued. "Make sure you put it away."

"Whatever…" Yu replied boorishly as we left the house.

It was daytime, sure. I can't just stay at home to look after my plants after I watered them. Rider was the one who recommended that I go to the same area once again. But I feel quite happy that I was able to talk to Jinako once again. But to think that she and Kanata would join this foundation thing. Well, I wish them both the best if things do happen. But for now, I might as well kill some time.

Radiano Mall, Pacifica Square, Siesta City Afternoon - Clear Sky

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - Paulownia Mall

After we finished going to the same place in New Hiroshima. Rider found out about this place through an advertisement billboard about the grand opening of this mall as I had no choice but to go there. Again, Yu isn't with us this time around but this is something where I could explore. For a modern mall with four floors that nearly looks futuristic… not bad I guess. But as we arrived at the main lobby area of the first floor. Rider was met with surprise as she saw a luxurious fountain.

"Whoaaaa… Look at that, Master. To think people can create this… fountain. It's rather interesting that the water falls from the highest point of this mall." Rider said in awe as she then turned her head at me. "Say, what's the whole point of the fountain for?"

"Well, it's meant to… you know, act as a decoration. To liven up the style of this place that does attract some people. They even toss coins to the fountains as well." I explained to her about what people do at fountains. Though, she wasn't too versed about this. Shouldn't a Servant like mine have all the information of the modern day world and its technologies? Yet, she remained clueless as ever.

"All for what exactly?" Rider asked.

"To make a wish? Increase their good luck? I don't know." I responded bluntly.

"Heeeeh?~ Just to make a wish? Either that or these people are surely dumbfounded that the majority of their desired luck never works." Rider said with an unamused smug on her face.

"Either way, that's what people do. While I'm very tired from all the walking. My feet are getting sore. Can we take a seat on the second floor where we can get a better view?" I asked her as she nodded without response.

She was willing to find myself a good rest where I can finally take a deep breath and ponder about it. Originally, I was about to take the escalator but she wasn't too sure about it and rather avoided it for some reason. So we took an elevator instead to the second floor. And just as that, we found a nice couch where we can see the view of the mall. I finally got my chance to relax my legs as they were somehow hurting a bit. While there are people all around as they were doing things normally. And I'm just trying to think of what happens next for the night. Being a Master for this Holy Grail War is just all too much to sink in for the last two months. But, this makes me think… After all this time, looking at her memories upon every sleep. I wonder how much she has accomplished as Nagao Kagetora in the past. I wasn't afraid to say it straight to her about it but this is something I want to do… So here goes nothing.

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - During the Exam

"Say, Rider… I was hoping if you're down to talk with me." I asked her as she looked at my face.

"Talk? Talk about what?" Rider asked in question.

"I wanna know more about your past. You said you're the Dragon of Echigo. A warrior on the battlefield. The avatar of Bishamonten." I continued. "You've fought in battles before, right?"

"I have. Killed many soldiers during my time. It was a slaughter, of course. Until I met another warrior… Takeda Shingen. He challenged me to a duel and I accepted it no less." Rider said as I began to think when she mentioned a particular person.

"Takeda Shingen… One of the many daimyos and greatest warriors during the Sengoku Period. He's really well known, isn't he? You fought him in the fourth battle at Kawanakajima." I asked her.

"Not really 'well known'. We fought and that's about it. And right after that, I decided to cherish that moment as the best one yet. I guess he was indeed a fine warrior. His strength pars with mine and I enjoyed this duel greatly. Isn't it great that you get to keep the heads of your enemy as a trophy? It's rather calming, nyaa.~" Rider said with her usual smug face.

"Err… I guess?" I grimaced in response to her ways of saying. Couldn't say I would enjoy taking people's heads as a trophy. This is the modern times now, Rider. No need to collect them.

"But still… I begin to wonder… Is killing people ever the right thing to do? All for the sake of protecting my people?" Rider questions herself within her thoughts. She looked down a little to glance at her hands as she clenched it as if her hands were stained in blood.

"You had a choice. And you did so." I continued. "If you picked a different path. What would've happened to your people? Decisions can only deter your path. My path is different from yours. I desired revenge. Fueling my hatred towards Bryce. He killed Fiore and I was forced to kill Francis. My health has taken too much of a toll to bear. But, I started to realize… Perhaps I've chosen the path to kill… but for what?"

I was clouded by my own thoughts, my decisions, and my own morals. Everything just keeps piling all over me again and again. Haunted by the visions of my sister Takami's death, Fiore's death, and also Francis' death. I begin to sink into the mind where I saw the respective scenes of what I have seen throughout my journey and life. First, Takami was stabbed by a mysterious person. Second, I saw the figure of myself holding the sword and stabbing Francis with it to end his life. And third, Fiore took the bullet to save Irina's life as Bryce stood there with a shit-eating grin on his face. Then, my mind returns back to reality where I noticed to see my Servant still looking at me.

"Sorry… Perhaps I was just pondering… So… what happened next in your life?" I asked Rider.

"Well, to begin with…" Rider said as she continued and pondered as she would remember something. "During my time as a fearsome warrior on the battlefield. Things changed. When I begin to grow a bit older… I started to feel this stomach ache. I complained about it as if it was too much pain in my chest. Like a wrenching ball within me. I began to realize that I won't be able to live for another year. Even in lifelong prosperity is but one cup of sake… A life in 49 years is passed in a dream. I know not what life is nor death. Year in, year out. All but a dream… both Heaven and Hell are left behind. I stand in the moonlit dawn, free from clouds of attachment. Of course, if you read my poem, that is."

"No… I haven't." I responded.

"While my impending death was rather imminent. I paved a way for the future of the Uesugi clan. To prepare my army for a grand attack into my enemy's land… Oda Nobunaga. But suddenly…" Rider was about to finish her sentence as I finished it for her.

"You died… I… I saw your past and what transpired throughout your history." I said to her as she was rather surprised a little as she kept her usual tone as she smiles as always.

"Y'know. It's not nice for you to look into my past of what I've become. But since I'm your Servant… I suppose I'll let that slide for now." Rider continued as she stood up as I looked at her, lending her hand to me. I accepted it as I grabbed her hand as I got up. "But remember, you have a wish to obtain. You did say that you wish to win, yes?"

"Yeah… I do. So… Nagao Kagetora. I ask you again… Will you fight by my side?" I asked her as she nodded softly.

"As your Servant and your loyal retainer… I humbly accept." Rider responds as we shake hands in agreement as we lower our hands down. "Now then… shall we head off, Master?"

"Yeah. But on the note here… you can call me Ryuga when we're in public. But at nighttime, call me Master. You understand?" I said to her as she would do so.

"Very well, Ryuga-dono. Perhaps this is all but a progress to understand each other. Now then… Let us be off. I wish to explore more of this… mall." Rider said as I smiled a little bit, showing faints of emotions.

"Whatever you say." I casually said to her as we headed off to explore. And so, we spent our days visiting shops and places within the mall as we continued to wait for the nightfall to arrive.

Penthouse Rooftops, Fairdale Hills, Siesta City Midnight - Clear Sky

Katsura POV

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - This Mysterious Feeling

It was midnight. The time for us to begin our actions once again. It feels strange to come back to the Holy Grail War once again after ten years. We all changed. It's only me, Marie, and Atalanta. I was seen standing on the rooftop to take a good glance of the view. So much for Siesta being the Sleepless City and all that. But I can feel the cool wind breeze lightly blowing on my face as I continue watching. But there was someone behind me who arrived at the rooftops.

"Taking a grand sight?" The voice of Marie spoke as I turned around and looked at her.

"I am. Though, it feels different here since the Holy Grail War in Siesta is going on. Any luck on finding Bazett?" I asked her as she sook her head.

"Unfortunately, not yet. Atalanta is still roaming around the city and is searching throughout the district. However, she'll notify us if there is a fight happening." Marie continued as I approached her as she had a small pouch on her hand. "And this here is for you."

"Are these the bags of runes that you made for me?" I asked her as she nodded.

"They are. Comes in with lots of assortments you can utilize. No need to shout out the names. Just look at its properties and use it. It's that simple." Marie said as I took the pouch and stowed it away in my pockets.

"Thank you, Marie. Hopefully your runes will save me sometimes if it goes sideways. Just as I remembered when you gave me your private lesson on learning your family's renowned Astromancy." I asked her about those times as she blushed and looked away a little.

"T-That was merely nine years ago… You still have a lot to learn ever since my father gave you our family crest.." Marie continued. "So, shall we get going?"

"Yeah. Charles and his Servant aren't coming with us but I think it's for the better for them to remain in their rooms. I wouldn't waste their time. Think she'll come back?" I said to her as we were ready to leave.

"As I said before. She's already on patrol. So we should do the same. Let's not waste any time in hopes that we can meet up with her and inform this troubling situation." Marie informed me as we left the rooftop. I agreed with her plans as we soon made our leave from the building in order to continue our search for Bazett. I just hope we're not too late.

Andorra Plaza, Fairdale Hills, Siesta City Midnight - Clear Sky

Ryuga POV

Night… It was night once again. After I brought Rider to the same exact place in New Hiroshima along with the new mall. Trust me, it almost lasted for ten hours of my Servant enjoying herself a fine drink of Japanese sake. And I don't know how to respond when she is drunk. Plus, going to the mall only reminded me of that day when I was with Jinako and Kanata. Now, she's kinda back to normal as we pretty much took this patrolling very seriously. The only objective I can think of right now is to hunt down enemy Servants or Masters. Right now, we're in Fairdale Hills' luxurious outdoor shopping district known as Andorra Plaza. I've never been there before but this was my choice to patrol around the area. But I did notice that one of the shops which turns out to be a shoe store for women is closed down due to some damages. I wonder what happened… But that's not important. Rider was seen on her trusty steed Houshoutsukige while holding her lance on her right hand and controlling her mount just fine.

"This feels awfully quiet, Master. Don't you think so?" Rider said to me.

"It's obvious. The small craters on the ground and the damages on various shops is not normal. My guess is that both Servants were fighting previously. Regardless, we need to be careful of our-" I was about to speak until…

[FWOOSH!]

"Master! Watch out!" Rider then quickly grabbed my hand, pulling me up to mount on her steed as she used her horse to quickly evade the incoming attack from above.

[THOOM!]

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - Calamity

The sound of a smash ground was made as it was covered by clouds of dust from the moment of impact. It was rough for sure. But as I got off Houshoutsukige to see what's behind the clouds as it began to clear itself. It was a familiar magenta-haired woman that I'm well familiar with… It was none other than Bazett who shook off her fist after she had done damage to the ground. Not only that, she's here. Svin also caught up with her as he caught some breath.

"Bazett! Just what were you thinking!? We agreed on this idea about confronting Ryuga! Not to kill him!" Svin told her about this whole idea involving me but she didn't seem to care.

"It doesn't matter. Don't think you could sway him that easily, Svin. Ryuga has already become this dangerous. To think that he would wield that sword of a Noble Phantasm. He must be eliminated and Bryce will be next on my list." Bazett announced as she bought along with her Servant.

Background Music | S&K Newtrogic Panic OST - FORECAST

"I know I couldn't trust you, Bazett. You're just in my way. If you intend to get rid of me… Then you know what we must do…" I proceed to grab the sword from my back. "I'll battle you, Bazett Fraga McRemitz."

"Hmph…" Bazett didn't care as she enhanced her both fists and feets in a magical aura as she readied her stance while Another Caster appeared by her side. "Caster. You know what to do. Keep his Servant at bay."

"Sure thing, O' Master of mine! I think she and I would get along just fine!" Another Caster smirked as he tapped on the floor with the bottom of his wooden staff. Causing a red magic circle to appear below Rider as she noticed as it started to glow violently until…

[BOOM!]

The explosion came from the circle as Rider had used her mount to jump away from it as she proceeded to dismount Houshoutsukige as it disappeared and landed on the ground.

"Rider! Defeat Caster. I'll deal with Bazett." I commanded my Servant as she agreed.

"You got it, Master!" Rider responded as she brought out her seven-bladed spear and her hiltless katana on her other hand as she dashed into battle.

[CLING!]

The sound of metal clanging that met with her glowing fists as I was knocked back, rolling back on the ground until I recovered. At that moment, she stood there as she was slowly approaching me. I grit my teeth knowing that I still have some options to fight back. I activated the magic circuits on my arms as the clothed blade unfurls itself, imbuing itself a red flame on my sword. I proceeded to plant the sword to the ground as I swung it upwards, sending out a pillaring arcing flame towards her as she responded with her fist by parrying it away.

"Why go this far to kill me? What did I ever do to you, huh?" I tried to talk to her as she seemingly didn't care.

"Does it matter? I have no reason to talk to you. I'll make sure that you stay dead and secure the Grail for myself." Bazett said as she kept her stance.

"Oh yeah? Then why work with Svin!? Don't tell me that you're teaming up against me!?" I exclaimed, assuming that she would be working against her as she shook her head.

"That isn't for you to know. All that matters is getting rid of you. That is all. Yet, you show signs of resisting. Then I'll make sure that your death will be quick and painless." Bazett said as she tightened her fists… knowing that my chances for survival against her is slim.

Third Person POV

Meanwhile, the sounds of weapons clashing where Rider was in a fight with Bazett's Another Caster as he dodged out of harm's way. He then grabs something out from his robes. Just as he threw something at her… it was a few clusters of small pebbles. But they weren't too ordinary. As Rider proceeds to enter within his range… He smirks as he snaps his fingers. Rider noticed to see the pebbles glowing red as it glows brighter upon noticing it.

[BOOM!]

The small clusters of pebbles exploded because Another Caster's expertise of magecraft had managed to attack Rider upon explosion. But the seven bladed-tipped spear was thrown directly at him as he used the middle of the rod to block the weapon which was stuck in its place. Rider dashed out of the smoke in blinding speed as she was using her other sword which she was in his range. She proceeds to thrust her sword directly at his head until Caster dodges in time from the blade's close attack as Rider quickly grabs her spear back as she keeps her battle stance.

"I gotta say, Rider. You're not bad. I'll give you that." Another Caster praised her as she proceeded to clash weapons with him.

"For a sorcerer like you. You're quite crafty. But I have orders from my Master that I need to get rid of you." Rider said with her usual mood as she prepared herself again.

"Heh. Still merciful as ever, huh? Fine then. Then I suppose I shouldn't hold back or my Master would scold me." Another Caster replied as he readied himself once again for another duel.

Ryuga POV

After through clashes and various beatings. I planted my sword on the ground as I tried to gasp for air. I'm worn out. She's trying to make me tired. I'm at risk here. She still stands and refuses to give up. Yet, she brushes away the dust on her shoulder if it didn't matter to her.

"Now that I managed to break through your will… It's time to finish what I started: To eliminate you." Bazett said coldly as she looked down on me as I stood.

"Big words coming from a Master… If I'm going to die… I might as well go off with a bang…!" I spat and grit my teeth as I readied my stance as I held my sword with two hands, shifting my position of my sword to be held from behind as it began to emit flames on the blade. My arms continue to supply my mana into my sword as I start to concentrate.

"If you wish to die this badly… Then so be it." Bazett said as she brings out a silver sphere which conducts blue electricity around it as it begins to project a blade on the sphere as she readies herself in a stance.

This was a standoff. But I don't know if I'm able to survive this or not. But I proceeded to chant those words… Yet, feeling unfamiliar to this. And thus I spoke.

"Let the flames fuel the blade's vengeance. The fire shall push forward the ever iridescent. And the crimson blade shall forever carry forth the radiant righteousness…" I continue to chant those words. The crimson blade's flames began to burn ever bright more as I felt the burst of wind and the heat all around me. But that did not stop where the flames began to form itself as an extended length over its blade. "As the golden sun fades down, so brings forth an undying ambition. Thus, let it shall be…!"

Just as I was about to unleash the full power of the sword just as Bazett was ready to unleash it. We both noticed clusters of small stones. But these stones had runes all over it. Then, it quickly created a bright flash of light…

Background Music End

[FLASH!]

The flash of light blinded us, canceling our abilities in the process as we covered our eyes. That took our Servant's attention along with Svin as we all noticed the moment we regained our vision from the sudden brightness.

"Both of you! Stand down!" The voice of a man yelled as he arrived with a pistol in his hand. But, the white-haired woman also arrived. "Bazett! Don't be alarmed. We've come here on the behalf of Lord El-Melloi II. You should understand that. And for you, kid. Stand down. I'll handle this."

We both stood down as I was completely confused of what's going on… Who are these people?

"Wait… Katsura? Olga Marie? Why are you two here? Aren't you aware that there is a Holy Grail War going on here in Siesta?" Bazett asked them in confusion.

"Yeah, we know." The man named Katsura spoke. "We're told to relay this message to you regarding what's going on. To think that the American branch of the Mages Association managed to replicate the Holy Grail War on a whim is impressive but… This is much more than that. We're here to investigate and… most likely dismantle the Grail for good."

"Again, this is something we've come to inform you in case you didn't know the details." The woman named Olga Marie spoke in to talk to her.

"As for you, Svin." Katsura said to him as if he knew him. "To think Wav- I mean Lord El-Melloi II would send you here before he called for us. I assume you've been working with Bazett on this situation?"

"I mean… She prefers to do this on her own. Plus, things went downhill real quick when she tried to kill Ryuga over here. After all, we were trying to talk to him until she threw it out of the window." Svin explained to him about what happened as Katsura nodded to understand until he looked at me.

"So, you're Ryuga, right? Based on that Command Seal you bear. That confirms that you're a Master of this war, huh? Along with that crimson sword you got there. Can't believe that you're wielding a Noble Phantasm." Katsura continued. "Anyways… I'm Katsura Tendou. This is my partner, Olga Marie Animusphere. I'm sure this will come as a shock and all. But we're the survivors of the previous Holy Grail War that happened in Fuyuki ten years ago."

"Ten years ago?" I said to him in confusion. "You're bullshitting me… You said you're a survivor? I don't believe you at all. Either you're just making things up or lying things regardless."

"Look. It's okay to-" Katsura was interrupted as I continued talking.

"You don't fucking know… of how much I've lost right in front of my eyes! Two people who I cared about died so I could live! Can you even say the same-" Yet, I was interrupted as Katsura shouts in anger.

"WE'VE LOST MANY PEOPLE WHO DIED SACRIFICING THEIR LIVES IN THE WAR 10 YEARS AGO THAN YOU THINK! YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT OF HOW MUCH WE'VE WENT THOUGH!" Katsura exclaimed in anger as I was silenced in shock. He was telling the truth… but he began to calm down. "Fuck… There goes my anger… Sorry about that. But look, many of our people died. They sacrificed their very lives in the war so that we could live on… We've all felt this pain of what it feels like to lose someone. Like your friends, loved ones, or even family. Sure, it hurts like a knife stabbing your heart. But that pain is what drives us forward."

"Katsura is right." Olga Marie said. "Everyone has their own scars. Even ours. But know that you still live. After all, we're still human in this world. But know that you need to cast aside your doubts and push forwards. That is the reason why we magus continue to live in this unjust world. Surely you can, too."

I felt down. Olga was right. We all feel deep down when it comes to loss. The two had managed to calm Bazett as if they knew her. I need answers. This doesn't make any sense.

[CLING!]

The chinese sword fell from the sky as we all noticed as it was near Katsura. I looked up to see Yu arriving late as she was readying herself to strike upon Katsura as I quickly stepped in to block her attack.

"You idiot! What are you doing!? That man is an enemy!" Yu exclaimed.

"Yu, no! You got it all wrong! That man here de-escalated the fight and I'm trying to get answers from these two! So please-" I was interrupted as we dodged the incoming arrow from above.

[FWOOSH! THUNK!]

Multiple arrows had pierced on the ground as we saw. There, I looked up to see a mysterious person on the top of the building where it was a green-haired woman with cat ears and tail as she wore a dress that I'm not familiar with. But she was wielding a bow as landed on the floor, aiming her arrow directly at Yu.

"Both of you! Stop!" Me and Katsura immediately rushed to tell our respective allies to stop. So, the both compiled.

"Okay… The hell is going on here, Katsura. I want answers. I don't get it at all. You knew Bazett and Svin…" I confronted him as Katsura remained as calm as ever.

"Look. I know you're confused. You don't know us but we won't know you. I understand that you have a lot of answers to talk about. Right now. This isn't the right place to speak. Perhaps we can talk about this tomorrow. I assume you have a home?" Katsura asked me as I nodded.

"Yeah? Why?" I asked him in confusion.

"Then we'll continue our story at your house tomorrow. For now, let's all call it a day. Bazett. Let's go. We got a lot to talk about. Oh and… Don't target that kid, will ya?" Katsura said to her as she had no choice but to comply. But she looked at me.

"I'll hold off on killing you… for now. Caster. Let us go." Bazett said to her Servant.

"Whatever you say. We'll hold off this fight for the night. Better stay alive, Rider." Another Caster said as he followed his Master.

"You heard him. As much as you have answers to speak about. We'll continue these talks for tomorrow. For now, head home and rest. I'm sure you're tired from tonight. Until then, stay safe." Olga Marie said to me as she followed Katsura. Rider and Yu approached me as I stood there.

"Say, Master. Seems like things changed for a bit, huh?" Rider said to me as I seemingly agreed. It is all too strange.

"It has. And Yu, thanks for complying with me… for once." I said to her as she looked away.

"Whatever." Yu replied.

"And you, Svin. The hell is going on? How come that guy knows you? And why work with Bazett in the first place?" I asked him for answers.

"Look. I know… It's complicated but we should continue this from tomorrow. Katsura said it and it's best for us to rest. So until then… later." Svin then turned around as he left. Now, it's just us three as I furled back my sword with the cloth and sheathed it on my back. Yet, I was left being oblivious. I decided to calm down as I spoke.

"Rider. Yu… Let's go home. They better give me the answers that I seek. And moreover… I feel like shit and my arms are hurting…" I said to them as I felt the strain on both arms after I tried to unleash a powerful attack that would put a great risk on my body. The sword's ability isn't meant to be used easily. I remember the words from True Caster that she said the first time that I use it's potential, it will put a harm on my body. Again, I have to be careful when using it. But for now, I will take Katsura's words and wait for him tomorrow.

?/?/? Dreamscape ? - ?

As soon as I headed home at the Forvedge Residence in Willowton. I was already sound asleep while my Servant was carrying out her duty to guard the house. With my eyes closed, I begin to think about what happened from that night. But my mind forced me to forget. But instead… I heard a voice…

"…up…"

The voice of a woman spoke but I could barely hear it…

"Open… yo… ey…"

But, the voice begins to become clear.

"Wake up, sleepyhead. How long are you going to sleep through your travels in front of your big sister?"

Background Music | Persona 3 OST - Memories of the School

That voice… I recognize it all too well. I started to slowly open my eyes as I found myself on the other side of the seat. Right, she was driving a 1994 Subaru Sambar Minivan. That's right. This was the part where my sister… Takami would pick me up from the mall as she would drive me back to the mountain town where I'm supposed to take over a rice cracker shop for my grandmother. Living in a big city like Tokyo felt different for a mountain boy like me.

And this is Takami. She's older than me. Kinder to say at least. She has short, somewhat messy plum-colored hair tied into a low ponytail. But her hair color still has some brunette tinge to it. Her eyes were golden as if it shines brilliance to a man who would get caught by her astounding beauty. She was wearing her usual casual clothing. Her white shirt with a traditional kabuki artwork that predates the older Japanese history and blue torn jeans. She was seen driving the minivan as she shifted her eyes and looked at me.

"So you did wake up, my little pup?" Takami said to me with her usual softer smile on her face.

"Ugh… Can you stop calling me a 'pup'? It's kinda embarrassing." I said to her with my usual tone as I looked out of the window as we were on the highway as we were leaving Tokyo. She simply chuckled as she continued driving.

"Ahaha.~ You are, though. A bit young to enjoy your city life, you know? Everyone has reasons for moving to a small rural town in Tokyo. Yet, the city can't offer you anything if you wish to survive there." Takami said with her insights about living in the big city like Tokyo or Yokohama. But I digress…

"I know. It's just that… Err…" I had a hard time talking about it as I was reminded about the friends I have made… Kanata and Jinako. We were the three basic trios and nothing special at that. But they did say that we can message on our phone at any time.

"Let me guess… You miss your friends?" Takami asked about it.

"Huh? How'd you know?" I asked her in question as I looked at her in surprise.

"Your big sister knows, silly." Takami continued. "Been following your social media on my phone that you've been sending your little postcards of your life in the big city."

"Of course you'd do that…" I continued as it brought up to my mind. "So… while we're returning back to Yongen… Is there anything wrong with the business that our grandmother runs?"

"Not really. She was worried sick about you and needed you to run it in her stead. The reason why is… our father was killed in a hit and run." Takami said the most depressing news was that I was caught off guard. The words have finally traveled to me. Our father had died from an accident. He managed to keep the shop up and running. With our grandmother continuing to run the shop. She might not continue any longer. So that's why my sister needed me back so I could continue the business. But… I wanted to talk to her.

"But what about you? Why can't you do it?" I asked her.

"Me? No, no. Can't you remember that I got a fishmonger shop to run in Yongen as well? You and I both run different businesses and all that sort of jazz." Takami continued. "After all. Gozaburo Tachiarai, the man who owns the shop, expects me to do a good job so I can get paid. And you should do the same. After all, we're family. We stick together and look after each other. After all… you and I are both magus. That's the truth. And remember, never show your magecraft to anyone. If anyone sees it, who knows what it'll happen next."

"I get it, sis. My magecraft isn't meant for show. I'll have to thank our grandmother Tsukumo for teaching me the basics… along with the Crest of the Ashikaga family." I said as I continued to look outside where the cars were on the highway as she focused on the driving.

"Indeed you do. And remember that you have a purpose to uphold. Not as an ordinary person that simply runs a shop. But as a magus. While I want you to train your magecraft. But you are not ready to join the Clock Tower… yet." Takami continued. "Remember that. Make grandmother Tsukumo proud, okay?"

"Yeah… I will…" I reassured her as she continued to drive me back to Yongen. But as the bright light consumes me from the moment I close my eyes… I disappeared back into reality… waking… from this supposed dream…

4/21/2024 Forvedge Residence, Willowton, Siesta City Morning - Clear Sky

And from the moment I woke up from the vision. A dream… I was back here in my room. I slowly got up and looked outside from the moment I opened up the curtains… It was morning. Surprisingly, my Servant isn't here to wake me up with her usual smile. Guess I'm alone in this room… so I yawned and got off my bed as I headed straight out of my room and went downstairs… And from the moment I entered the main living room…

"Huh?" I noticed something. "You…"

It was him… Katsura Tendou…

"Yo. I see you woke up, sunshine. Guess you got the sun's brightness in your eyes?" Katsura said in a lighter sarcastic tone.

"Shut up…" I said. "I woke up on my own so I'm okay… Plus, you said that you'd tell me everything about what's going on. And Yu… Stop reading my mangas…"

"I do what I want, so piss off." Yu replied with some scowl on her face as she continued reading Chainsaw Man.

"Anyways… I'm the man of my word. But I know what you're saying… You want me to explain what happened ten years ago. Yes?" Katsura continued. "Besides, my Servant followed you home last night so me and Olga Marie came straight to your humble abode. And don't worry, my Servant wont hurt you."

"Uh huh…" I nodded in understatement as Olga Marie arrived as she sat next to Katsura with a cup of tea in her hand. "Now then… since you two claim to be survivors from 10 years ago. The previous Holy Grail War. Tell me what happened."

I was hoping for the two to speak up about this but Katsura was willing to talk about what happened. So, he spoke.

"Ten years ago… There was a Holy Grail War happening in Fuyuki. But it wasn't an ordinary battle royale where Magis and Servants were forced to kill each other till the last one stands. But it was a team battle format that I eventually got dragged into. The priest known as Ryuji Kotomine calls it the Greater Fuyuki Holy Grail War. I came back to Fuyuki to reunite with my family members after my trip in America. In case you don't know… I'm a soldier… well… not anymore. Just a veteran." Katsura said as I tilted my head a little.

"A veteran?" I asked him.

"You heard it right. Upon my return at my homestead in the city. On that fateful night. My young sister gave me a Class Card and a Catalyst as a 'gift'. I don't know who sent it to me but I accepted it anyway. But it was until that fateful night, I helped an old man who turns out to be a Servant Assassin in disguise. A member of the Homura faction. Then on the brink of death… I ended up summoning my own Servant through the Class Card Archer. Her true name is Atalanta. I'm sure you know who it is. Plus, she's here with me." Katsura said as his Servant appeared next to him as she maintained her composure. "Now then… After I summoned her. She saved my life. And that is until I met Olga Marie who was also participating in the war."

"Indeed. While I did meet him ten years ago. I was confused as to why he was able to summon a Servant without the need of mana. But I begin to understand why the Class Cards exist in the first place. These types of Class Cards were made by the Ainsworth family… Unfortunately, they were wiped out by the rival magus family known as Hitotsuyanagi." Olga Marie explains the existence of the Class Cards which I have never heard of before.

"What she says is true. They're still active and anyone can acquire it themselves if they're lucky enough." Katsura continued. "So, she welcomed me into the Yuki faction led by… of course, Olga Marie Asmleit Animusphere. One of the top ten families of the Clock Tower… and the Animusphere is known for its Astromancy magecraft since they reside from the mountains to watch the stars in the night. Now then… where were we… Right… We've gone through many fights during the Holy Grail War ten years back. We managed to kill some but… things went overboard…"

"Overboard?" I said to him as it crossed my mind.

"Another new faction appeared, half of the Homura Squad were wiped out. Ruler's appearance… I can never forget about that man… Shirou Tokisada Amakusa, the man of rebellion. He had other plans as well. Even working with that man named Yuko Miyamoto, the older brother of the man who I used to be friends with… Tatsuya Miyamoto. I know it's confusing but trust us… During our fight, Yuko appeared and killed his brother, taking his heart in the process in order to fuel the Holy Grail's true intentions. Ruler and Yuko began working together, killing the overseer Ryuji Kotomine. He was one step ahead thanks to Yuko's Servant Lancer who had begun killing everyone in this war… including our faction's members. Many didn't survive in the Yuki faction except our Rider and his Master. We've all begun to feel this pain of loss within our chest. We were met with a magus named Bakugou Kageyama who offered information… the existence of the Holy Lance Rhongomyniad." Katsura explained his story as I began listening in. But what surprises me is that the holy lance exists? That's absurd. "Not to mention… a member of the Homura Faction named Darius Barkhorn who had survived with his Servant Lancer of Homura… whose true name is Elisabeth Bathtory. Shirou Emiya, Rin Tohsaka, Luvia Edelfelt and her Servant Caster also joined our cause. And so, we've steeled our resolve and headed our way to the final confrontation at the Ryuudou Temple. Of course, Bakugou had managed to acquire the Holy Lance in the process that was kept deep under the caves within the forests of Fuyuki and he gave it to me. However, just as Yuko's Servant stood in our way… Bakugou told us to go on ahead so he can send his Servant Lancer to fight in order to buy us time. Of course… Shirou, Rin, Luvia, and Caster also had to stay behind to confront her. And during our battle with the Ruler Servant who plans to bring humanity salvation… He eventually kills Darius after he saved Olga Marie's life. Knowing that his life won't be in vain. Yuko was almost finished with the completion of the Holy Grail's corruption. But, I managed to tap into the Holy Lance's power and fully destroy both Yuko and the Holy Grail before the black mud could swallow us whole. And we succeeded. Ruler knew that his plan had failed and was sent back to the Throne of Heroes. Olga Marie's Servant, Miyamoto Musashi… disappeared. Hayate Masamune's Servant, Astolfo… disappeared. And so does the rest. But, I did hear words that the others had managed to defeat Yuko's Servant before we destroyed the Holy Grail thanks to Shirou Emiya's efforts. But just as my Servant Atalanta begins to fade away…"

"I stepped in… extending her pact by making her my friend…" Olga Marie continued. "It's something that I want to keep her living as Katsura's wish. I understood his bonds with his Servant so… I suppose it's better than receiving your desired wish with the Holy Grail."

"Sort of… Anyways… After that, Olga Marie was declared the victor due to her leader status under the Yuki Faction despite using the Holy Lance." Katsura explained the aftermath of what happened. It was all too new to me.

"So… what happened with that Holy Lance?" That made me wonder about it… Where did it go?

"Me and Olga Marie decided that we gave the lance to the Chaldea Foundation, run by her father Maisbury Animusphere during the time he was both head of the family and the CEO of the foundation. It was rather a small company at the time since they were once affiliated with the Clock Tower. But not anymore." Katsura continued. "Ten years later… here we are. Lord El-Melloi II contacted us to investigate Siesta City here due to the Holy Grail War still continuing here on American soil. Bakugou, who still resides at the Clock Tower was nice enough to provide us information about the man named Bryce Glenbrook, who is apparently the CEO of his own PMC group BlackSteel. Actually, do you know where is he at? I mean… he was the one who killed Fiore Forvedge…"

"He went into hiding and was declared a Rogue Master of the war. He's disqualified but still active. Overseer Mario had announced that two months ago." I explained to him about Bryce as he seemingly understood.

"I see… Seems we're going to deal with a particular Master with a dangerous Servant I guess?" Katsura said as he stood up and stretched his arms. "Well… That does cover pretty much what I said to you so far regarding our journey. However… I'm sure we've forgotten one more thing… You can stop hiding now."

Then, I noticed behind me where Ophelia was in my house as well upon my surprise. She was no longer wearing her BlackSteel uniform but instead an ashen-gray hoodie. Was she trying to keep a low profile for the last two months?

"Ophelia…" I said to her name.

"It seems you know her name as well. To tell you the truth… Ophelia here works for me. But she is part of the Chaldea Foundation that I mentioned." Katsura continued. "I met her and… well… We did know about the Siesta Holy Grail War at the time two months ago when the Clock Tower found out and was sent into a rather tiny chaos. Nothing too bad. So yeah, I told her to go to Siesta to investigate and she did. And can't believe that she somehow snuck in as a member of BlackSteel. So it's pretty impressive that she did her best as a double agent."

"Katsura… do you believe me now? I left BlackSteel through my own volition knowing that Bryce has gone missing here in Siesta. I know you have every right to hate me over Fiore's death two months ago-" Ophelia was interrupted as I spoke in.

"No… It's okay. I… I do believe you. It was my outburst when we first met when you were a BlackSteel member two months ago. I began to understand that her death wasn't in vain. She saved Irina's life. But I knew that she had those feelings for me until Bryce took it away from me. But now I know." I said to her as Ophelia smiled a little.

"Thank you… Though, I should apologize for not telling you in the first place somehow but here we are. We're working together to solve this incident involving the Holy Grail here. Mister Katsura and Lady Animusphere here know about it." Ophelia said as Katsura interjects with a slight cringe.

"Please… Drop the 'mister', Ophelia…" Katsura continued as he clears his throat. "Ahem! However… Before we continue… I believe we're missing a few people?"

"If you mean me, then you already know." The voice of Irina arrives along with True Caster as she arrives to visit my home. "It has been a while, Ryuga. Have you been well for the past two months?"

"Yeah. I have. I'll have to thank True Caster for creating this cloth for the sword. At least… It'll make Nero proud." I said to Irina as she seemingly nodded in acknowledgement. But True Caster spoke up.

"Of course, it was all done by me. Hopefully it should limit the sword's potential in order to make your magic circuits compatible through means of calculation.~" True Caster proudly speaks as I seemingly maintain my deadpanned look but calm.

"Sorry I'm late." Svin then arrives. "Bazett won't be joining us today, unfortunately. She has her own reasons."

"It's no worries, Svin. You're just in time for what I'm going to tell them." Katsura then continued. "Ryuga… Listen up. What I'm about to tell you is all too real. I know it comes off as far-fetched but I'll say it anyway… Olga Marie had managed to contact Hishiri Adashino from the Clock Tower last night about the Holy Grail here in Siesta. She has confirmed that the American Mages Association were in fact, using the shard of the Fuyuki Grail to create their own version of the Holy Grail. Thus, having it set here in Siesta City in order to prove themselves that they're capable. But damn… to think they would use the shard of the Grail from the Fourth War. The one I managed to destroy… And now they're using the shard to create their own war. That is why we came here to destroy it. Originally, Svin and Bazett were sent by the Clock Tower in an attempt to dismantle the grail. With things gone this worse, we were sent as a second wave to destroy it instead. I hope you know the truth about this."

"And the only thing we fear is… someone might use the Grail early for their own purposes. Therefore, we're preventing it from happening. Why are we asking you if you wish to join us to destroy the Grail." Olga Marie said to me with a decision but…

"And if I refuse?" I told her about the other choice.

"Even if you refuse, it's okay. You can simply leave the island in the midst of the Holy Grail War. Of course, the Mages Association in London will be trying to target you with a bounty on your head. Surely you wouldn't want that, do you?" Olga Marie said about the consequences. She's right. If I leave the island during the war, me and my Servant will be hunted down by mages.

"No… I wouldn't. But let me get this straight: The Association's American branch used the shard of the Fuyuki Holy Grail to create their own war. And the people there made their bold claim that it's a real deal. But the grail from Fuyuki was corrupted in both previous wars. And one war is where Katsura and Olga Marie are from. With Bryce gone into hiding, and someone could use the Grail to their own benefit… is that right?" I asked them as the two nodded. "Fine… I made up my mind. I'll help you out in this situation. I don't know why or what's been going on for the past two months. Even though I had to go through a mental distress and this sin crawled on my back. I'll destroy the Holy Grail with you guys."

"Good… It's settled! Now with everyone here with the same mind. We can now proceed with the plan to destroy the grail. But the problem is…" Katsura continued. "The Overseer… Who's his name again?"

"Mario Gallo Bestino. He is the Acting Prelate from the Holy Church. He became the new Overseer after the previous one was killed by a Dead Apostle." Irina said as it caught Katsura's attention.

"Whoa. Hold on… Dead Apostle? I never heard of this… Marie. Do you know anything about them?" Katsura asked her as she simply sighed.

"Former human beings that have discarded their humanity. Born with dangerous abilities that comprehends laws of physics. Essentially… They're vampires." Olga Marie explained who they are.

"Okay… and where is this Dead Apostle?" Katsura asked.

"It's dead." Irina replied.

"Oh… Now then. With that out of the way. Why not call it here? Since we're working together and all." Katsura then stood up as he continued. "Plus, we do have additional allies. The man likes to stay in his own penthouse sometimes. I'm also friends with him, of course. And his Servant is into heels or whatever. Fashion ain't my thing. We'll be heading back and planning ahead on what's next. Since finding the Holy Grail is all but impossible… It's going to take some time. And so try to stay alive, Ryuga. We had encounters with the group of Assassin-class Servants last night. It's going to ramp up but still. Be careful when fighting them during the night. I hate seeing anyone dying right in front of my face."

"I understand why Katsura starts off as an oaf but he's a man with reason. For now, try to lay low once we have the updates. Until then, Ryuga. Do take care." Olga Marie reassured me as she followed Katsura and left. Ophelia bowed at us and left to follow them. I noticed Atalanta where she followed him as well. So that was Katsura's Servant. To think she can remain in this world after the war… Sounds pretty surreal.

"So… what now?" Yu asked us. It was just me, Irina, and Svin.

"For now, I might as well comply with Katsura's words until there are updates. But… perhaps it'd be best if we work together as a group." I said to them as someone spoke.

"That's the whole plan, man…" Svin interjected calmly. "We just need to be careful in the night. We got tons of time to spend during the day. But since they left… I might as well do the same. Hopefully Katsura has given you all the information about what happened. Anyways, peace out."

Svin said as he left my home as my Servant was seen approaching me.

"Master. We have a lot of time. Perhaps we can go somewhere if anything interests you. Perhaps some finest sakes?" Rider asked as I sighed.

"Again? Fine. But I do know one place at Pacifica Square where they sell these. I'll add them to the house just to make you pleased." I said as I had no choice but…

"If you do plan to head out. Perhaps let us go with you. I have the most splendid idea to say at least… I want you to buy me tomato juice at that convenience store again." Irina offers up her suggestion about the tomato juice as all of this is becoming too much.

"Honestly. I got nothing to do so might as well join you guys for a little while. Just needed some fresh air and all that." Svin said as he had no choice. He was willing to join us despite me having plans on going to Pacifica Square to buy some drinks for my Servant.

"Well whatever… What about you, Yu? You coming?" I asked her.

"I'm staying so don't bother me." Yu replied as she continued reading my manga since she wasn't interested at all.

"Suit yourself. We'll be going… C'mon, let's not waste time." I said to them as they all agreed from the moment we left our home.

Third Person POV

As they left the home and began their journey to Pacifica Square in order to kill some time during the day. From afar within the district of Willowton. The mysterious young woman wearing traditional miko clothing worn by the shrine maidens. However, her face was covered by the white cloth where her face cannot be seen. Where the front of the cloth where the face would be had a symbol of an eye. She would be seen watching a particular person… and that person would be Ryuga. Unbeknownst to them, she had seemingly disappeared as Ryuga immediately turned around.

"Huh?" Just as when Ryuga turned around when he felt like his presence was known… no one was there.

"Hey, Ryuga. You okay?" Svin asked him as Ryuga shook his head and remained normal as usual.

"Yeah. It felt like I was being watched. Perhaps it was some birds around." Ryuga said as he catched up to them.

"Ryuga-dono. Shall I call forth my trusty steed to get there faster?" Rider asked him of the idea.

"No, we're going to walk there. Bringing your horse would bring unwanted attention." Ryuga replied to her as they all continued walking as the sound of wind breezes through the clear air. While the mysterious woman who was watching him disappeared. It seems there is more than meets the eye…

[TO BE CONTINUED…]

Author's Notes: Hello all. I know it's been like 2 months? Yeah. It's been a long time. I haven't been working on this story due to writer's block. But I've been steadily making progress piece by piece. And here I am, finishing it. I mean… This chapter is finally done and I can finally show it off to readers like you. Again, sincerely apologize for the writer's block. And as you all know… Katsura Tendou and Olga Marie Animusphere have finally arrived along with Atalanta. It was a hard process to include them and weave this narrative into this story. Plus, with Katsura telling everything of what happened from 10 years ago during the Greater Fuyuki Holy Grail War. I think I'm happy to say that the story of Fate/UnH is officially done. Katsura has explained it and it's final. I know, I know. This was a very tough decision to make and the story must go forward. When I first made Fate/UnH. How should I say this… It was too convoluted. Which is why I want to conclude the story of UnH through Katsura's experience of what happened. Plus, including flashbacks of Ryuga's life in the city and the proper appearance of Takami Ashikaga. There will be more as the next chapter will finally reveal who Ryuga Ashikaga is. So again, please give me a lot of extra time and perhaps some polish in order to create the next chapter, the best thing there is. Perhaps it'll be short this time but I can find a workaround regardless. So yeah, look forward to it. Until then, peace out! Have an omake as well.

Omake - The Wrong Man in the Wrong Place… Once

Somewhere within the icy tundra of Antarctica… In a certain location which they call the Chaldea Security Organization. Ryuga Ashikaga slowly wakes up in a white room that he is yet unfamiliar with. He looked around to check his surroundings. He was on the bed for some reason. But he decided to get up from it.

"This isn't my room… What is this? An asylum?" Ryuga said to himself in an unamused tone until he noticed a door sliding open. It was a young girl with short hair, she seemed to be wearing glasses and a white lab-like coat as she approached him.

"Good morning, senpai." The girl spoke as she stood there with her soft smile.

"I'm not your senpai." Ryuga interjected.

"Are you feeling well? You passed out in the hallways when I first found you. Director Goredolf-san told me to look after you so it wasn't quite a problem." The girl continued. "Oh! Please forgive me. I haven't introduced myself. I am Mash Kyrielight. A pleasure to meet your acquaintance."

"Ryuga Ashikaga." Ryuga said his name as she seemingly acknowledged it.

"Then it's a pleasure to meet you, Ryuga-senpai. As you can see… You are the second remaining Master candidate, the first being Ritsuka-senpai." Mash was about to continue as Ryuga stood up and look at her.

"First off. Stop calling me senpai. Just call me Ryuga. You can use the 'san' at the end of my name. I hate this type of shit." Ryuga asks her in the most passive-aggressive behavior possible as Mash simply tipped up her glasses as she understands. "Now then… I'm going to explore for a bit."

"W-Wait! Your uniform! All members of Chaldea Masters need to abide by-" Mash was interrupted as he leaves.

"Don't care. I like what I wear." Ryuga simply waved it off as he made his way somewhere in this place that he is completely unfamiliar with.

Inside the main cafeteria where the people would gather and eat. Just as he made it there, he could not believe his eyes… Those are not ordinary people… They were Servants! Tons of them! This isn't normal. Normally, he would be in a Holy Grail War with his Servant and kill other Masters in order to obtain the Grail for himself. But oddly enough in the strangest times… His Servant isn't present… or is it?

"Master! You're finally here!" The voice of his Servant Rider arrived to happily greet him with a bottle of sake on her hand. "I was worried that you passed out ever since we traveled here for some reason. Must have been a freak accident."

"Tell me about it. Plus… The hell is this place? It's filled to the brim with Servants everywhere. They're talking to each other, cooking, socializing, all that kind of jazz. But this is just way too much." Katsura lightly complained about it as he calmed down. "Well whatever, I'm hungry."

He knew he was hungry so he decided to approach a man with white hair where he was seen cooking with his brown apron on.

"You hungry? If so, who are you supposed to be?" The white-haired man known as Archer spoke to him.

"Yea. I'm an angsty snarky asshole." Ryuga proclaimed himself of his own personality.

"Good. I hate you." Archer said as he passed him a food tray.

"Like I give a shit." Ryuga said since he didn't care as he takes the food tray and brings it to his own table where he would sit next to his Servant. "So… Rider. Have you talked to anyone here yet? I need information about this place."

"Honestly… I didn't even bother." Rider said as he sighed.

"You're useless…" Ryuga added.

"Ryuga-san. There you are." Mash arrived in such a hurry. "I know this is your first day here but… we need your help. Ritsuka-senpai is already in the control room with the others. A Singularity has been detected!"

"What is a Singularity?" Ryuga asked in a dumbfounded question ever known to man.

Upon hearing what he just said, the sound of a bass drop combined with a vine boom was heard within this room as all Servants including Mash looked at both Ryuga and Rider with unassuming looks on their faces.

"Oh boy…" Mash lightly facepalmed at that moment where here in Chaldea… It'll be a long day for those two.
