Chapter 3: Mewnificent Worlds Collide

"Is that...?" Caleb asked.
"Looks like it. It's a spirit looking jellyfish."
Caleb gazed at Pogue in worry. "Then it's one of thoes infuser things."
Pogue's eyes widen. "The ones that guy Elliot talked about?"
Caleb nodded. "Yeah. I bet it's looking for something to fuse with and turn it into one of those monsters the girls fight. Come on, let's follow it. I'll call Zoey, you call Reid and Tyler and tell them to get here quickly."
Pogue nodded and they did just that. The sons have never seen these things here before. They thought they never would. They were wrong.
"Hey, Zoey? We have a problem."
"What's wrong?"
"It's one of those jellyfish things. It's here at my house in the yard. Me and Pogue are following it to see what it's up to. Meet us down here with the girls." Said Caleb as Pogue got off the phone with Reid and Tyler, Caleb and Pogue continuing to sneak around behind the thing.
"On our way," Said Zoey.
Once Zoey hung up on her end, she sat up from her chair in her room and looked at Mini Mew who was hovering above her bed staring curiously at her.
"Mini Mew, looks like we got a predasite to destroy."
Mini Mew blinked. "Alright Zoey. Kick butt time!"
Zoey giggled. "Yeah, kick butt time."
Once the girls were gathered at Caleb's house, they followed the trail of magic that glowed on the ground left by the boys. They caught up to the 4 boys who were staring at the jellyfish infuser floating around.
"We're here. So there's the infuser." Zoey whispered to the boys. They were all in a crouch behind a bush
Caleb and the boys turned to her. "Yeah. It's just sitting there." Pogue said.
They watched it stay in one place till a beetle came out of a tree. The infuser pounced on the beetle and fused with it. It then grew to a staggering 6 feet tall and morphed to look like a scary movie version of a beetle monster. The girls then came out from the bush to stand in the beetle monster's view, the witches watching from the bush.
"That's as far as you go, Predasite!" Zoey stated to the monster as it took it's first step. The monster growled at it's first target, squaring up for battle.
"Ready Mew Mews?" Zoey asked, getting her power pendant at the ready, Mini Mew floating by her side.
"Ready!" The other girls stated also holding their power pendants at the ready.
The girls all then held their power pendants up above their head and shouted at the same time. "Power pendant, Mewdemorpheses!"
The boys then saw them all transform. Tyler focused more on Bridget's transformation, and Reid more on Zoey's. The 4 witches were in awe at the site.
"Mew Mew style, Mew Mew grace, Mew Mew power in your face!" Zoey taunted the monster.
"Wow..." Reid said dreamily. "She's hot and brave? I must be dreaming," Tyler then reached over and pinched him. Reid's face looked pained for a split second. Then Reid turned slowly to glare at Tyler.
"Tyler." He said quietly.
"Yes Reid?" Tyler asked innocently, also quietly.
"Did you just pinch me?" Asked Reid, glare heavy.
"Yep." Tyler responded innocently again.
"Why?" Reid asked.
"You said you must be dreaming so..." Tyler trailed off, then softly let out a pained 'ow' from Reid smacking him in the arm.
"Ya doofus." Reid said rolling his eyes and shaking his head. They then went back to watching the battle about to happen.
The beetle made the first move by stretching it's upper body to the sky and shot out a scalding hot orange liquid from it's abdomen. The girls jumped out of the way.
"Ew! What was that stuff?" Kiki wondered in disgust.
"Whatever it is, I'm sure getting hit by it would be very bad." Korina stated.
The beetle then started chasing them. The girls jumped through and ran around trees and bushes to distract it, but it was too fast and caught up to them quick.
"This thing is pretty fast. We're going to need to do the decoy technique." Rene stated.
"haha, alright! Leave it to me." Kiki said with a grin.
With that, all the girls quickly broke away from Kiki and the monster, making the monster only chase Kiki.
"Ooh-ooh-ooh! You can't catch me!" Kiki taunted making her monkey sounds and weaving through the branches of trees.
"Alright, Bridget, give it a go." Said Zoey.
Bridget nodded. "Combat Castanets! Deep Sea Surge attack!"
A rush of water suddenly appeared infront of Bridget and shot at the beetle monster. It seemed to have hurt it, but not by much.
"Take this!" Korina said summoning her weapon. "Heart Arrow!" Her bow and arrow appeared. She charged it's power by pulling the arrow back. Just as she was about to attack, the beetle disappeared out of thin air. "Huh?" She said in confusion.
"What the...where'd it go?" Zoey voiced.
Then not long after, Bridget gets pushed and held down by some invisible force.
Rene's eyes narrowed. "It's invisible."
"Oh great, just when we had..." Bridget paused to kick the monster off her, sending it to the side of her. "...enough to worry about." She finished.
Rene took this time to attack while she had target on where the monster was. She swung her purple dagger, sharp purple marks of energy swiping through the air and hitting the monster dead center, making it viewable again.
"Korina, Zoey, now!" Rene queued.
Korina and Zoey nodded. Korina charged her arrow again and shot it at the beetle, successfully hitting it. Then Zoey followed up.
"Strawberry Bell...attack!" Zoey said as she held her heart bell weapon. It blasted a pink energy at the beetle making it freeze in place. Then the jellyfish looking thing separated from the now normal little beetle. Before the infuser could escape, Mini Mew flew over and ate it.
"Another predasite destroyed!" Mini Mew said happily.
"Good job guys!" Kiki said walking over to their gathered group of girls.
"Yeah, we really kicked it's bug behind!" Zoey cheerfully said as she high fived Korina.
The boys came out from their hiding place to congratulate them.
"That...was the hottest thing I've ever seen!" Reid said coming over to scoop Zoey up in his arms.
Tyler came over to Bridget and held her hands. "You are incredible! Are you okay?"
"Oh yeah, I'm fine. You're so sweet!" Bridget said in a blush, holding his hands in return.
Caleb looked at Mini Mew. "So...when you get an infuser beat, he just swallows it?"
Zoey nodded from Reid's arms. "Mm-hmm. He destroys them for good when he does."
Caleb continues to gaze at Mini Mew in intrigue. "Huh...interesting."
Pogue nodded. "Very."
Later that night, Tyler and Bridget were sitting in a field of flowers, full moon overhead. She was no longer in her Mew Mew form. Tyler held her hands, fingers locked together with hers.
"I'm sure it's pretty obvious that I like you." He said as he caressed the back of her hand with his thumb.
Bridget nodded. "Mm-hmm. I'm really glad you do 'cause...I like you too...alot."
That had Tyler beaming. "Good. Then I can do this," He leaned in slowly and kissed her lips. Once their kiss ended, Bridget was blushing.
"Bridget...would you like to be my girlfriend?"
She beamed now. "Yes!" She said happily.
Tyler grinned sweetly and leaned in to kiss her again, wrapping her in his arms.
~With Zoey and Reid~
Reid brought Zoey to his room in his house. He pulled her to him, arms around her waist as he gazed down at her.
"You kicked some serious ass today. Still super hot that you're a girl and can fight like that."
Zoey giggled. "Thanks. Not a lot of girls like that around here?"
"No. All the girls here are the 'save me! I'm just a girl! Help!' kind. That's why it's so...refreshing to see you and your friends."
Zoey was so flattered. "Aw, thank you. We do our best."
"Okay superhero, answer me one question." Reid started.
"Sure." She said.
"Would you be my girl?" Reid paused, then huffed out a laugh at himself. "I've never...asked that before. But this is the first time I've felt like this about any girl before."
Zoey gazed up at him feeling so touched. "Oh Reid...of course I will."
Reid smiled and hugged her tight. She spent the night at his place, them cuddled up in bed fast asleep.
"So...the kitty got a boyfriend, eh?" Dren said as he peaked through Reid's window in the night from outside.
"He will have to go down too then," An idea hit Dren then. "If I lure the kitty cat with her boyfriend...then I will surely have her meet her end finally," He smirked through the window staring at the two. "Excellent."

Hi everyone! So sorry this update took so long. Got busy and life happened. But I will always come back and update my stories. Only one more chapter left of this story.
