After a long battle, Keima and Cupid defeat the three demon kings. Keima immediately makes it clear to the Guests of the goddesses that he cannot answer their questions now and makes an appointment at his house. After that Keima goes, together with Cupid, to Misato Hisagi high school, to look for Tenri, and remembers a terrible truth that Cupid confessed to him.
The fight had been one of Keima's many problems. Now he had to deal with the unresolved matters. There was a glacial silence in the air. Not necessarily embarrassment, but also amazement and disbelief.
"Nii-Sama, thank you for saving us." Elsie thanked him.
"Not at all."
"How did you get out of the Mirror Dimension?" Kanon asked him.
"Why are you here?" Tsukiyo asked him.
"And those powers?" Yui asked him.
"It is neither the place nor the time to respond." Keima cut him short.
"Then when will you give us some answers?" they all asked him.
"At my house, after school, I'll wait for you." - Keima turned and started to leave.
"And where are you going now?"
Keima stopped, without turning around, to answer Ayumi: "Let's say I have a game that you need to resume. Kami Change! - *QUE BUM! KAMI SO COOL!* - See you later!" - Keima said, flying away.
"Wait for me!" - said Cupid, following close behind.

****Misato Hisagi High…****
"Why are we here, Partner?" - asked Cupid, as soon as they passed the gate.
"I told you; I have a game with a bad ending." Keima reminded him.
"You mean Tenri? Keima nodded to Cupid's question. - Will he be okay?" - he asked him.
"I do not know. - Keima confessed - We haven't seen each other since that time." - he remembered a little sadly.
"You are cruel, Partner. A broken love after ten years and pieces is not beautiful. Even if it was one way it doesn't matter. Cupid sighed as he tried to make Keima feel guilty, and thought aloud about what his sister had said. - Damn, Diana was right. You were taken away by another girl."
"EEHH?! Who would be taken away by whom?! - Keima yelled, pissed off, attracting the looks of all the students who were within a 10km radius. - Cupid, listen, I don't want to make myself known even in this school. We find Tenri and leave. They're already looking us up and down because we look like twins." - concluded Keima, as he walked towards the main entrance. Following the signs he came to the closet.
"Closed, I didn't even hope for it." - said Cupid, as he tried to open.
"Ugh, why do I have to do everything? Skin Change! - *So Silence!* - Now I look like a shady guy in this dress." - Keima said, looking at his dress with gloves and red cape while, putting his PFP close to the lock, he opened the door without problems.
Cupid entered the closet and: "Found it, Partner!" - he came out in a Hisagi high school boy uniform.
"But it is only one. Keima noted. - Ok, let's do this, you stop manifesting yourself, and keep my uniform safe. I'm not going to get it later. Cupid, do you mind?" - Keima told him, while signaling him to go out the door.
"Yes, yes. - said Cupid, coming out of the closet and patiently waiting for Keima to change. After five minutes, Keima came out of the closet - How elegant we are!" - complimented Cupid, as he looked at Keima's blue and white uniform.
"Silence, slimy flatterer! - Keima told him, giving him his Maijima uniform. - I feel like I'm dishonoring my school." he said as he examined the uniform.
"But is it comfortable?" - asked Cupid.
"Yes, it's not bad, at least he doesn't have a tie. Hey, why are you still here? Stop manifesting yourself!" - Cupid obeyed, and Keima found himself with a PFP in his hand. Opening the inventory he saw his uniform set aside and an application with the face of Cupid, as an image.
"Heaven's technology works wonders, doesn't it, Partner? - Keima didn't answer Cupid's question, and walked along the corridors.
"What is Tenri's class?" Keima wondered as she passed through the corridors.
"You there! - the voice behind Keima made him freeze and immobilize. Behind him was a student who was looking him up and down. - I don't think I've ever seen you, are you new?"
"Man, the school is huge, I don't even know you. But, let's say I've been absent for quite a while."- Keima justified himself.
"I see, you better not let a professor catch you around at this hour. Word from the student council adviser." - advised the boy.
"Student council adviser?" - Keima repeated, incredulous.
"Yes. See you." - he greeted him.
"Wait! - Keima called the guy, who turned around instantly. - I'm looking for a person. Do you know Tenri Ayukawa?"
"You mean that silent girl with the brown hair and two pink bows on her head?" - asked the guy, looking for correspondence
"Yes, just her. What is your class?" - Keima asked him, realizing that he had played bingo.
"Second floor, take the third on the left." - explained the guy.
"Thank You!" - Keima thanked.
"Wait! - Keima stopped - Who are you for Ayukawa-San?"
"A childhood friend."
"A friend? And also from childhood? Is there something between you two?" - asked the boy.
"I wish there was! I wouldn't be here at this point right now." - Keima replied, running.
"Huh?"
"Nothing, see you!" - Keima answered, running away.
****...****
"It was easy to get the coordinates." - rejoiced Cupid.
"Don't sing victory on your first try. - Keima told him, seeing the class - Is anyone there?!" he asked, knocking and then opening the door.
"But it's empty." - noted Cupid.
"Thanks for the info, Mr. Obvious! - Keima replied sarcastically - Let's see... am I going to the gym?! Well, let's go to the gym!" Keima decided.
"I don't think it's a good idea to let others see us, partner."
"And who told you that I want others to see me? I go, I follow Tenri, then I talk to her". Keima clarified.
****...****
"So this is the gym. I thought they did the outdoor activities.
"The outfield is already occupied. Didn't you see?" - asked Cupid, as if it were obvious.
"I didn't see. I'm nervous."
"Why?"
"Because I haven't seen Tenri all summer. I treated her badly."
"Look, not even considering a person for 10 years is a bad thing."
"But what does that have to do with it! It was because I lost my memory!"
"Why else would you contact her again? Comrade, don't waste your time with me!" - Cupid told him, realizing that Keima was trying to justify himself.
"I mean, I didn't even remember Tenri existed." - Keima answered, entering the locker room.
"Because when you knew it before, did something change?" - continued Cupid.
"Devils, Cupid, just shut up, okay?! - Keima yelled, but his expression turned from anger to confusion, when he saw a girl in front of him. - Huh?"
"HH?" - said the girl, equally confused.
"HH?!" Keima echoed.
"AAAAHHHH A PERVERT!" - the girl screamed.
Keima understood the situation and with a: "Kami Change! - *QUE BUM! KAMI SO COOL!* and a quick - Skin Change!" - *So Silence!* he hurried to escape elsewhere and to open an empty locker, with the PFP.
"A female, in the boys' locker room, calling you a pervert?! There's something wrong with that girl." - said Cupid, without thinking.
"Are you dumb?! We are the ones who don't go in here!" - Keima said, as he closed the closet door to stay inside.
"Why?"
"This is, 90%, the girls' locker room! Skin Change!" - Keima understood that he had to escape from there. He found himself in a suit and dark glasses, while hearing the sound *So Dimensional* rumble in the closet.
"You won't escape by locking yourself in an open locker! - the girl told him, but as soon as she opened the locker... - Eh? There is no more." he said, eyeing the empty locker.
****...****
Keima came out of the locker in the gym's equipment room: "Holy shit, I heard that scream right down to my throat..." - he commented, getting up from the ground, and remembering the scream of the unfortunate girl.
"You had to see your face! You didn't understand why they called you a pervert!" said Cupid, starting to laugh.
"Shut up, you pathetic buffoon! This thing was your fault! You distracted me, and I walked into a random locker room! Damn, between a men's and women's locker room, I go to the women's. Crazy stuff!" Keima began to yell.
"Partner, do you have any perversions about undergarments that I don't know about?" - asked Cupid, jokingly, and thinking about who knows what.
"Fuck you." Keima answered simply, and rudely, as he left the tool room.
****...****
"What a mess!" Keima said as she ran her hands through her hair.
"Poor Partner. - consoled Cupid. - They took you for a pervert when you were simply looking for your childhood friend. In fact, they've taken you for a linen finder!" - Cupid did not make it, and laughed.
"Cupid, you…" - but the bell rang, just as Keima was starting to say all the colors to his Companion.
"Time flies when you spend time with the person you like." said Cupid nostalgically
"I really don't like you at all, Cupid." - clarified Keima, with a note of irony.
"Oh yes? And who do you like?"
"Absolutely nobody. Because of you, now, I have to fall in love with the Guests of the goddesses."
"Didn't I convince you, just by talking?"
"No, I only do it to save them from certain death." Keima remembered.
****Mirror Dimension… A few hours ago…****
When Cupid found Keima after the collapse of the Mirror Dimension, he revealed to him what he had discovered in his studies.
"The truth - Cupid confessed to him - is that my little sisters' Guests are in danger of their lives. And it's your fault."
"I know. After all, it is because of me that they have to fight against the Old Hell." Keima recognized.
"Old Hell? It does not matter! - Cupid began to yell, frightening Keima - Even if it's potentially a risk. The main problem is my little sisters themselves."
"How are the goddesses themselves the problem? They are the ones who protect their Hosts from the Old Hell." - Keima didn't understand.
"And where do you think they get their energy from? From nothing? - Cupid began to gesticulate - Well, it's not like that!"
"Then where do they get it from? They won't drain their Hosts themselves like batteries." - Keima said, being sarcastic.
"Instead they do." - frowned Cupid.
"What?" - Keima remained frozen.
"Let's say that goddesses don't have their own personal strength as we males do. And since they don't have it, they have to receive it. That's why there are Guests. But…" - Cupid stopped.
"Speak up." - cut Keima.
"Goddesses draw their strength from their Host. The strength of their Guests is based on the love they receive. That strength is stored and then transformed into power. The love has to come from the person the host loves, and this energy is to keep my little sisters from going back into the vegetative state. However, if the force produced by love is not sufficient, or totally absent, the goddesses will feed on the life force of the Host itself, precisely to avoid going back to sleep, and the effects will be terrible. From almost nothing, to the loss of one's skills, and finally to the death of the Guest in question. And I don't know if my little sisters are feeding off their life force or not right now."
"Are you telling me, that if I don't pretend to be in love with the Hosts of the goddesses, then they will be killed by the goddesses themselves?!" - Keima resumed, shocked.
"Affirmative." - Cupid confirmed.
"Wait! - Keima reasoned - Then all the events make sense!"
"Events?" - Cupid understood something.
"I can't explain it to you precisely, but I've seen all the Hosts of the goddesses fall into a kind of depression since I rejected them. Or at least I think, it's just depression." - Keima stopped.
"Explain yourself better." - incited Cupid.
"As you say, I have seen them lose their skills."
"Have they lost their skills? At all?!" - Cupid was alarmed.
"No, not quite, but they are having a decline. - Keima thought back to when he saw the Guests of the goddesses, from time to time - Ayumi has worsened her running time, despite always arriving earlier. Kanon is constantly losing her voice. Shiori has completely forgotten some locations of the books in the library and Tsukiyo has forgotten the location of some celestial bodies. Yui is normal, I suppose, also because I wouldn't notice anything, even if there was a problem. And as for Tenri, I haven't noticed her anymore, I'm completely ignoring her, but I don't know if the failure of her magic tricks, which in the past succeeded her, is for this reason." Keima was beginning to understand. No one forgets his abilities overnight (and Alzheimer's has little to do with this).
"This is bad. My little sisters are already feeding on their life force. Continuing at this rate, within a short time, all of them will die. And considering what you said in the Mirror Dimension, they're more hurt now than ever." Cupid theorized.
"And the goddesses do nothing to prevent it?" Keima asked, annoyed.
"You can't blame them. They don't know what to do. I'm not even sure they know this. If they knew then they would have already explained it to you." Cupid knew his sisters meant no harm to their Guest. They weren't going to let them die in front of their eyes.
"So that's why Diana was trying to make me flirt with Tenri?!" Keima reflected.
"I can't say for sure. It could be that he was just trying to save his Guest, but it could also be that he simply wanted to give his Guest the advantage. You should ask him to be sure. If they don't know then we don't have to warn them above all, for no reason, their Guests will have to find out about it. Also, if they were to suffer another attack from the Old Hell, they would have no access to the powers!"
"But it's a real catastrophe! I'm in danger every day because of me?!" - Keima yelled, while the sudden sense of guilt made him feel bad.
"That's why I told you earlier that Chihiro was the one who needed the least attention! Throw this love on the back burner. Did she turn you down? She missed her chance, and it's too bad for her, end of story. It better be start behaving the harem from now!"
"I'm not going to!" Keima refused.
"Oh yes? Find me the other solution!"
"The other solution? The other is…"
"Keima, it doesn't exist! He does not exist! Cupid interrupted him in a serious voice. - You behaved very badly. You rejected all the girls who had genuine feelings for you without even giving her a chance. like shit! Do you realize you take into consideration the seriousness of the situation?! Let's talk about death! And you know what that means, metaphorically. Game over! Black screen! Bad ending! What do you want. We don't have a respawn button in real life. Do you stick it in your head? Please partner. Don't do it for me, and don't do it for yourself either. But do it for the people who still love you. Do it for the people you care about!" - concluded Cupid, waiting for the answer.
(...What the hell!) - "And what are we still doing in here?!" Keima asked, taking Cupid by the jacket.
"I do not know!" - said Cupid, taking Keima off his back.
"We have to get out and fast!"
"Okay, take my hand. We will perform the Super-Fusion!"
****Present…****
In that moment, just for a moment, Keima realized all those mistakes and horrible things he had done. He realized that he should give all of them a chance, maybe even Yui. But what was he to do now? He had to win back their trust. No, not just that. He had to love them again. And this time he really had to fall in love with them! Was he forced to do it? Absolutely not. It would have? Absolutely yes! Now he was more involved than ever. With a God in his body, and this awful truth revealed, his hands were tied. Of course he could also separate from Cupid, resume the PFP and whoever saw saw. He couldn't do it. He could have done it, but it would have meant condemning all the goddesses to death. No matter how he looked at it, they would all die. They weren't going to find someone who fell in love with them at first sight. It was actually possible, but it would take time and they didn't have enough. By now this had become a mad race against time that he had already experienced in the past. It had ended badly. It ALWAYS ended badly! But this time it was different. He wasn't alone, though before that he was assisted by a useless demon. She had Cupid, her "Companion" and he was her "Partner". He would make everyone pay. To the Old and the New Hell, to those people who had left him no choice every time.
She thought back to what Nikaido had told her: (They are all involved in this huge mess.)
(What a mess? This is your fucking mess!) - thought Keima, in response. They were also shifting the blame onto him, forcing him to agree to take part in this crazy plan. Who went to find the lost souls of the Underworld on their own, without having to force humans. Or at least don't force those who didn't want to participate. What if a human fails his job? What would they do to him? Were they going to cut off his head for real?! And they'd also cut off his demon assistant's head?! Are we kidding?! Which party is it good for? For the New Hell? Or for the Old Man? For the old one. Because they got rid of an enemy demon from Hell without lifting a finger and maybe gained another lost soul. No, whichever way Keima looked, he found no advantage in the New Hell. But then his collar was just a bluff? Possible as not. He could no longer control himself. And if he checked there was a 50% chance of dying instantly. On the other hand, those tugs at the collar could mean nothing. He had been lifted off the ground and slammed on the face onto a bench! And the collar had activated other times as well. So why use tugs and skulls on the wall? Why?! To scare you? As if the collar were saying to you: "Next time they won't shoot you but I'll cut off your head?" Or stuff like that? While that collar can only spin you in the air and more? But then why was Elsie so desperate too? It was real desperation. He was afraid. Maybe they just convinced her that the collar cut off the head when it didn't? Keima did not know. He couldn't go to the New Hell and check those collars, at least not yet. And even if he had taken one, would he have understood anything in it? Sure, he was good at electronics, and his personal modified PFPs prove it, but that collar could be a more complex system linked to a central/general source that gives the orders and in that case it needs to be the source and not the individual destroyed collar. But above all, why risk the safety of your Demon? Does the New Hell really trust Demons so much and are not afraid of the courage of humans? Keima knew one more than hell, literally. He had become a patient avenger. He was building his plan and would take his revenge. They'd pay it, oh they'd pay it! Old Hell, New Hell and all company. And Keima knew he now had two parts to him. One of light (Cupid and his angelic powers) and one of shadow (his negative emotions and corresponding demonic powers). It was up to him to decide, when and how, whether one or the other would prevail.
"There are two forbidden seals in you. - Cupid had explained to him - One of light and one of shadow. That of light when used to the maximum triggers the Super Mega Mode. by doing so you release all your gathered powers at that moment and you are beyond the human limit. But if you use the shadow one then you will trigger Super Mega Dark Mode. Unleash all the negative feelings you have acquired so far. If you decide to free that Mode then the shadow prevails. However it may soon lead you to the total prevalence of the shadow and the change of personality itself. For now you won't be able to use them, you will have to wait a bit. But when the time comes, be careful."
"All of this is absurd." – concluded Keima, as he walked towards the exit of the high school, and heard the last bell ring.
"Partner, we are behind the times." Cupid informed him.
"I know." – Keima said, as he sat in a semi-dark corner of the courtyard, playing with the PFP.
"But do you think it's time?!" reproached Cupid.
"Every second is precious! Every single second and moment I rest from the stress you create for me." - Keima told him, but he had to immediately put away his PFP, as soon as he saw Tenri pass by. Too bad she didn't see it.
"What are you waiting for? Go!" Cupid told him.
Keima approached Tenri but she turned around and slapped him across the face.
"But why..." - Keima was about to say, but he looked better at "Tenri's" eyes. They weren't the usual sky blue, but crimson red.
"You have a lot of guts to show up after what you said, Katsuragi." - Said the girl, with a grim look.
"Diana…" – Keima feared having to see Diana, but not because he feared she might hurt him, but because she wouldn't allow Tenri to be seen.
"Why are you here? To let Cupid free you?" Diana asked him, who was already preparing the procedure.
"No, I'm not here for that. Nor to be with you. I want to talk to Tenri." Keima said, going straight to the point.
"This is impossible. Tenri doesn't want to see you anymore!" – Diana answered, trying to deceive Keima.
"Bullshit! I know you're the one who wants to stop it!" Keima said, having figured out the trick.
"And even if it were? I have my good reasons. You exploited Tenri until the last moment. I will not forgive you for this! Even when you crashed into the Mirror Dimension, Tenri was very upset for you. That's why I'm replacing it for today. It would have been better if I had stayed in that Dimension. And speaking of that, how did you get out? Keima showed the back of his hand, and flashed Cupid's mark. – I understand, so you and Cupid have merged."
"That's right! Cupid, from now on, is my Companion. It will help me in fight situations and if I allow it, it will entertain me. I even created a way for him to manifest without using my body. – explained Keima, while feeling proud of the things he had done."
"The fact remains that you took advantage of Tenri." Diana insisted.
"Who would take advantage of whom?! Diana, don't think you don't have skeletons in your closet too." Keima accused her, pointing her finger.
"Skeletons in the closet?!" yelled Diana, offended. He was close and punched Keima.
"Go ahead, say it, when you were the one in love with me, you said that being in love with the same guy that Tenri loves isn't right. And you know what? It's also your fault that I didn't choose Tenri. The childhood friend route is not made up of secondary, female characters who get in the way of the relationship. So show up and disappear." Keima told him, as he made a gesture to disappear.
"Do you really think I'll let you make Tenri suffer again?" Diana asked him with a defiant look.
"I'm not here to make her suffer I'm here to resume my game. And it won't be a virus to stop me." – concluded Keima, while receiving a communication from Cupid.
"Partner, the technique is ready." Cupid announced.
"Received! – Keima lunged forward and touched Diana in the shoulder - Block Manifestation!"
"But what's happening to me? I'm disappearing." Diana saw that she was losing control of her body.
"Let's say I gave you the password." Keima replied, as she watched Diana slowly vanish.
"I don't believe it…" – said Diana, before disappearing.
Keima had to hold Tenri because she didn't recover: "Are you okay?"
Tenri got used to the light and opened her eyes: "Keima-Kun, is that really you?" - he asked him.
"Yes, in pixels and matter. More matter, actually." Keima said, smiling, and making Tenri blush.
"Thank goodness, I thought I'd lost you." Terni said, relieved.
"It would have been like that, but Cupid helped me. Tell me, are you mad at me?" Keima asked, just to be sure.
"No. I'm not."
Keima looked into his childhood friend's eyes, the pupils weren't red, so it didn't look like she cried today. Not today at least. Keima decided to let those thoughts go for today: "Shall we go?"
"Where?"
"At my home. We will soon have a meeting with all the other Guests." Keima explained.
"OK let's go." Tenri and Keima held hands as they began to walk.
(Game resumed successfully! The match continues!) – thought Keima and Cupid, victorious.
NEXT STEP! FLAGS. 284.5!
CUPID: "We just have to re-establish broken relationships, easy isn't it?"
KEIMA: "This is not only meeting, but it is also a new hope, I hope."
HOW THE HELL DID I LOSE TRACK OF TIME?!
CUPID: Partner, we have a problem.
KEIMA: "I knew that friendship would be harmful."
