Well this took me a year and some change to finally finish, and I'm sorry. But now I have more time to write. So this chapter will be interesting for a number of reasons, so read and find out!
This chapter will also heavily focus on Caitlin-38.

Abra Kadabra
Caitlin Frost came out of one of Cisco's Breaches, already as Killer Frost, and she looked around Kord Industries. Team Flash had gotten a Robbery in Progress call, and Barry would've gone himself, but he, Joe and Julian were taking care of a break in/murder at another lab. And feeling the need to stretch out her powers, and do something, she volunteered to go instead. Peter would've gone as well, but he was helping Gwen on Earth-2, and he had also taken Miles with him, so he can both train him more and allow the newest spider to get some more experience.
'You see anything Frosty?' Cisco asked through comms.
"Nothing yet, although Allen should've been the one here, I don't mind a fight, but these types of calls feels beneath me." Frost said in an uninterested tone.
Caitlin sighed through their mental link, and said,' Really? What brought this up?'
Frost shrugged, ands said," We've been fighting an evil speedster god wannabe, mutants/meta's and some musically inclined dork since we got here. Robberies and the small stuff seem boring. Also considering we're Avengers and stopped an alien invasion."
'I can tell you were talking to Frost in your guys bond, but I feel like you said that out loud on purpose. And I don't know whether I should feel insulted, or agree with you.' Cisco said.
"Whichever helps you sleep at night, Cisco." KF teased.
Caitlin Snow was next to Cisco, and she rolled her eyes with a faintly amused look. She had known the other half of her doppelganger for a while now, and her personality never ceased to leave her both amused and exasperated. Over the time she had gotten to know her doppelgangers Killer Frost, she had learned she had a sarcastic sense of humor, her own personality and interests. Some of it overlapped with Frost's, but they were both different enough to be their own selves. It made her wonder about two things, with the first being if her deceased Earth-2 counterpart went through the same thing as her, and that her Killer Frost persona took over fully, before either personality or self could work things out. And the second, whether she would be able to pull of what Frost and KF had. Or will have, once she had the courage to actually let her Killer Frost, or how she started to call her, Frost out. She could safely say she was making progress with her other half, and she had to thank her counterpart for that.
All the training, this included KF being around her instead of Caitlin, and also not having her necklace on at all times. The latter had allowed to her communicate with her Frost, and the conversations she had with her was a work in progress.
It was… bumpy, slightly emotional on her part, but it was progress.
But she wasn't entirely ready to fully let her out just yet. She would've thought her Earth 38 counterpart would disagree, but she said accepting her other self would take time.
And she also said trust and acceptance were the key things.
And she hoped to get there soon.
KF heard footsteps coming down a flight of stairs. And she saw a man walking down, and he seemed to be holding whatever he was probably stealing.
"Hey buddy, if you wanted to see some of the toys this place had. Stealing them will only get your ass in prison." KF said.
"Ah Killer Frost. I was expecting Flash to show up, but that isn't an issue. Although I'm not sure which version of you I'm talking to. Are you Caitlin Snow or Caitlin Frost?"
KF narrowed her eyes, and she could feel the shock and worry coming from Caitlin.
"Yeah, I think I would've recognized you. How can you know that?"
"I'm from the future. But if you don't believe me. Then the year is 2012, you and Peter Parker are helping this Earth's Caitlin Snow with her powers. And you're also trying to save Barry Allen's doomed love from his greatest foe, Savitar." The guy said as he made what he had in his hand disappear, after removed a cloth.
'Okay, he's either telling the truth or he's a telepath. But considering what we've been dealing with lately, I'm leaning towards the former.' Caitlin said through her and KF's bond.
"Right if you know so much about the future and Savitar. Then-" KF said and then blasted her power at the guy, and it froze him.
KF smirked, and said," I bet you weren't expecting that? Huh wise guy?"
"No, but I guess you didn't expect this either." Someone said behind her.
KF whipped around to see the guy smirking behind her. He then snapped his finger in her face, and she cursed when a large flash hit her. She was momentarily blinded, she let out a curse, and she got her sight back just in time to see a dimensional portal open and Gypsy came out. She fired her powers at the guy, hit him and he fell to the ground.
"Gypsy, still seeking revenge I see." The guy sneered as he got up.
"I'm gonna get it this time." Gypsy said with a scowl.
The guy smirked, and said," We'll see."
He then took out a deck of cards, and threw them at them with the cards acting like a huge storm. KF got in front of Gypsy, and waved her hand, and all the cards fell to the ground frozen. She then held an offensive stance once it was clear, but the guy was gone.
KF huffed in annoyance. She then looked at Gypsy, and said with a smirk," Y'know there are easier excuses for you to come here and see Cisco right?"
She smirked internally when she heard Caitlin groan in their bond.
Once that was over with, both girls and also Barry, Joe and Julian returned to Star Labs. Gypsy got right to explaining who the magician like guy was."
"His name is Abra Kadabra." Gypsy said.
"As in Hocus Pocus?" Caitlin asked.
"Yeah, we think he has some sort of nanotechnology built into his body. Allows him to do some extraordinary feats. Teleportation, telekinesis, you name it. and believe me, I have seen it all." Gypsy explained.
"So that card trick he pulled on Frost, the water tank at Stagg, that's all some futuristic tech that he's masking as magic?" Iris asked.
Frost shook her head, and said," No necessarily. Believe me, I've seen enough stuff at my time with the Institute, and also the recent dealing with Thor's brother to know that magic also exists. But if it is tech, then we'll have our hands full. Besides another glaring issue."
"What's the issue?" Caitlin asked her alternate self.
Frost bit her lip, knowing the possible ramifications, but her friends needed to know, and said," He said he's from the future. He knew who I, Peter and Barry was by name. And also that we are dealing with Savitar and saving Iris."
Everyone with the exception of Gypsy looked at Frost in surprise.
"Really?" Barry asked.
Gypsy nodded and further explained," 64th century to be exact."
Iris looked far from thrilled about that, and said," Great. Another criminal from the future. Haven't we had our fill of those guys?"
Joe himself was looking surprised, that far into the future, and it made him feel old. "64th Century. What exactly are you after him for?"
"He's at the top of the collector's most wanted list. Showed up on my earth a few years back, did a string of robberies that ended with a lot of people losing their lives. Showed up again a couple of weeks ago, looted some tech companies, came here."
"To do the same thing? Why?" Iris asked.
"Well, think about it. If the guy is from the 64th century, then it stands to reason that he needs specific tech for a specific reason." Frost said.
"I agree with you on that Frosty, and it's we can definitely help you, cause I don't know about you guys, but ever since last time you were here, I've been looking forward to some Gypsy-Vibe action!" Cisco said, as he approached Gypsy, and looked at everyone.
Everyone gave him either confused or 'really' looks. While Frost shook her head, being faintly amused.
'Wow, just wow.' KF said through their bond.
"That's way too much." Joe bluntly said.
"Embarrassing." Iris agreed.
Gypsy ignored Cisco, and said, I just wanna catch him, so I can bring his ass back to Earth-19 and put him down."
"Don't worry. We can help you do that." Cisco said.
"We should check and see if Julian's gotten anything." Joe said.
"I'll go check on him." Caitlin said, and left.
"In the meantime, we can figure out where this guy disappeared off too." Cisco said, and held the bag of frozen cards that Frost had brought. "Let's deal out some justice, right?" He said with a grin.
Frost rolled her eyes in amusement, and said," You've been spending way too much time with Peter. Do you guys swap lame puns or something?"
Cisco shrugged, and walked off with Gypsy.
Frost then looked at Barry, and he had a contemplative look on his face. And she didn't have a good feeling.
"What are you thinking?" She asked.
Iris looked at him as well, and said," Yeah I know that look. What's up?"
"Frost said he knew what was going on not just with you, Peter and Caitlin. But he also knew about me, and Savitar." Barry explained.
Iris realized what he meant, and said," Yeah, if he knows something about Savitar, then-"
"He might be the key to saving you." Barry concluded.
Frost sighed, and said," You guys are not considering trusting him, right?"
Barry shrugged, and said," Trust no, but even if he does know anything, we have to use it."
Joe agreed, and said," Yeah, it's the only lead we have."
"Look guys, I get it. You'll do anything to save Iris, and stop Savitar. But, trusting someone like that is not going to end well. Not only does he have tricks, but considering he's from the future, he'll use his knowledge to fool and outsmart us, especially with how desperate you guys are. Just, consider it okay." Frost said.
The three of them looked like they wanted to argue with the mutant, but they also knew she was right. But there was still lingering doubt, and possible hope that this Kadabra guy could help them.
Later, Frost was helping Caitlin and Julian with figuring out more about Kadabra. Cisco had gotten an alert about another break in, and he, Gypsy, Barry and Wally went out to stop Kadabra.
"Upon further inspection, there was a rather odd particulate residue found at Stagg Industries." Julian said as he read some of the readings.
"Yeah, that's the nanotechnology that Gypsy was talking about." Joe said.
"Uh huh, well if we had some DNA off this guy, we could check if this guy has the X-Gene or the variation that could possibly make him a Meta. Although being a Bio-Engineer, I wonder if he really did fuse himself with tech from his era." Frost said.
"I can see that. Is that what it's made out of?" Caitlin asked.
"Although a sound theory on Frost's part, but I'm not sure. It's definitely organic, but it seems to have some sort of metallic hydrogen properties. Frankly, it's-"
Before he could finish, they heard an electrical sound, and were shocked to find Abra Kadabra in the room with him.
"Beyond your understanding." Kadabra camly said.
Joe pulled out his pistol, while Frost turned into KF, and her hands out at the ready.
"You make a move. You'll regret it." Joe said.
"Yeah sure West, like a regular pistol will do anything against someone from the future." KF scoffed.
Kadabra looked amused, and said," She's right Detective. And I've heard that many times before." He then waved his hand, and water came out of Joe's pistol.
"Told you." Frost said, and she then held in her breath, and exhaled.
A cloud of cold air blasted itself at Kadabra, and he held his hands up to block it. And he seemed to hold it in place.
"Guys, go, I'll hold him off." KF said, and the others ran of the room.
Kadabra then snapped his figners, and the ice wall shattered, and the shards flew towards her. She only had enough time to create a small shield of ice with her arms. She hissed a little when one ice shard made a small cut into her cheek. But it healed in a manner of seconds.
"Y'know, it would be much easier to let me have what I want." Kadabra supplied.
"You would like that, won't you?" KF mocked, and propelled herself with her ice. She then fired a couple of blasts at him, but he dodged by teleporting away. KF only had a moment to react, when he appeared next to her, and shot his hand out. A spray of water came out, and KF held her hand out, and froze it. She was shocked when she found out that when the water froze, it froze her hands.
"Now then, if we're done, lets-" He didn't get a chance to finish, due to Barry speeding in, and putting on Meta-Dampening clamps on him.
"C'mon, we were just about to have fun, Allen." KF whined a little, as she broke out of the ice.
Barry ignored the mutant, and said to Kadabra, "Yeah, magic or tech, you're not getting out of these." Barry said.
"Maybe not. But if you let me go, I'll tell you Savitar's greatest secret. His only weakness." Kadabra said.
"What secret?"
"I know who he is. I know his name."
Out of the all things Barry thought he would say, he was not expecting that. And his mind started to wonder what this could possibly mean.
"Hand him over!" Gypsy ordered as she sprinted into the room.
Barry looked over at her, and then at Kadabra. Making up his mind, he punched him and knocked him out.
"I'm putting him in one of the cells." Barry said, and sped off.
Gypsy looked confused for a moment, but she then scowled, and looked at KF.
She could on shrug, and said," Hey, take it up with Speedy. I don't know."
Later, Frost was on the phone talking to Peter. Earlier, after Barry put Kadabra in a cell, they started to interrogate him. And it boiled down to Kadabra only telling them what he knew about Savitar, if he let him go, and not let him be taken by Gypsy. As much as she wanted to just give him to her, Frost also knew that there was a possibility of gaining something from Kadabra. Not about Savitar, but more along the lines of what he was planning on doing with all the tech he'd been stealing. She knew it was a risky move, but she felt that it was necessary. She knew she sounded like a slight hypocrite, due to telling the others not to take whatever Kadabra said at face value. But, holding him could allow them to figure out what he was up to without letting him out.
"Wow, this sounds like one tough egg to crack." Peter said over the phone.
"You got that right. Ugh, maybe I should've gone spy instead of Science and Technology back at the Academy. I would've gotten interrogation techniques that could rival Nat's."
Peter snorted, and said," Or I can get Nat or Clint to come to Earth-1? And let Shield's best take a crack at him. Nat outsmarted Loki on the Helicarrier, I'm sure she could outwit magic boy."
Caitlin giggled and said," I'll keep that in mind, Pete. How's it going with your protégés?"
"Miles and Gwen are good. Like with Gwen, Miles is a fast learner. And taking them on patrols is a major help. I also got some time to talk to Harry a little more, nothing like talking to a fellow scientist."
Caitlin grinned at her friend nerding out a little, and said," I can imagine. Still can't believe your mentoring two people now. How's it to be a wise old sensei?"
"It's very well grasshopper." He joked, but he then became serious. "Y'know, I can be over there as fast as Barry. This situation is more important, and both Miles and Gwen can wait."
"I appreciate it, Pete. But we got it handled here. I'll call back when something comes up. K?"
"Alrighty then, I'll be back soon." He said and hung up.
Caitlin smiled as she pocketed her phone, and she then let out a small breath of cold air.
'Man, things just get more interesting by the minute.' Frost thought.
No sooner did she say that, the alarm for the cells went off, and she bit back a curse.
"Kadabra's on the loose. He's somewhere in the building." Cisco said through the loudspeaker.
'Well, you weren't wrong.' KF quipped.
Frost rolled her eyes as she let her other half take over, and KF sprinted through the hallways.
"Hey Cisco, give me a better idea where Houdini went." KF said in her earpiece.
"Hang on… got him! He's heading for the elevator."
"Thanks." She said and ran in the direction she knew the elevators were.
She ran to entrance that led to elevator. She made it just in time, due to Kadabra bringing out a small explosive, and threw it at Joe, Caitlin and Julian.
"Get down!" She yelled as she tried to make an ice dome to protect them.
She didn't get enough time, due to the bomb exploding, KF was thrown by the blast, and all she saw was darkness.
Julian coughed and groaned as he got up. He got up, and ran over to Caitlin, who was lying down near some debris.
"Caitlin, Caitlin you alright?" He asked as she got her up.
"I'm fine… where's Frost?" Caitlin asked with a groan.
Julian looked around, and saw Joe remove some debris that was on top of Caitlin's alternate self. And he bit back a curse when she saw she was unconscious.
"She's unconscious, she… oh no." Julian said as he saw something that made his heart stop.
"What?" Caitlin asked, and winced when she felt a pain in her abdomen.
She looked down, and her blood ran cold, not from her suppressed powers. But from seeing the metal pipe that was sticking out of her.
Luckily, everyone had gotten back to Star Labs in record time, and they wasted no time to help both Caitlin's. Barry and Wally brought Caitlin into the med room, and placed her on a bed. Cisco and Joe were carrying Frost, who was still unconscious, and was slightly bleeding from her head. They placed her on the bed next to Caitlin, and both Julian and Cisco started to assess and help them both.
"Hand me the hand held X-Ray machine, if you please." Julian ordered.
Barry did just that, and also handed the other one to Cisco, who used it on Frost.
"How bad are they?" Barry asked.
"Well, Frost has some shrapnel in her; the blast seemed to fracture her shoulder. And also she has blunt force trauma to the head from the debris. So not good. But from the looks of things, her powers are healing her. But at a slow rate." Cisco said, as he hooked her up to a couple of monitors. "Someone should get Peter, or anyone who could help her."
Barry nodded, and walked out of the room to call the spider hero.
"While for Caitlin, there are quite a few pieces of shrapnel inside of you. And they look deep enough to pierce your kidney if they're not removed immediately." Julian said.
"Well then we need to get her to a hospital." Iris said.
"We can't, they'll ID her as a Meta." Cisco said.
"Yeah, and not just any Meta." Wally said.
"Yeah, one we have a file on for attacking CCPD." Joe agreed.
"Then what are we going to do? None of us are doctors; Frost is unconscious so she can't help. And Caitlin can't operate on herself." Iris said.
Cisco realized that there was another one, he wasn't sure if it was a good idea or not, but time was limited.
"There is another way. When Caitlin goes Meta, her metabolic rate offsets cold-tissue destruction."
"And she can regenerate?" Julian asked.
"Yeah, I mean look at Frost. Injuries like that require a hospital. But due to her powers, she healing." Cisco said as he waved at the unconscious Avenger/Mutant/Shield Agent.
"Also, Frost has been teaching Caitlin about her Killer Frost powers. That's why she's here. So I guess now's the time put that training to the test." Wally said.
Everyone looked at Caitlin, even though the woman was in extreme pain, she had enough time to think about what the implications of what Cisco and Wally had just said. One part of her was against it, still feeling worried about letting Killer Frost or Frost fully out. But there was another side of her that wanted to let her out, she had been around Frost and KF long enough to feel comfortable around them. She had small sessions of not having her necklace on her, and talking briefly with her.
She even looked towards her unconscious alternate self, and knowing that refusing to let out her other half, would crush all the time Frost had been training her. And her alternate self was becoming a close friend to her, maybe even a sister in the future.
And with that final thought, she knew what she had to do.
"Do it. It's time." Caitlin said.
"You sure?" Cisco asked.
"I have shrapnel in me Cisco, and it hurts. So yeah, I'm ready." Caitlin bit back at him.
Cisco held his hands up in surrender, and said," Alright, alright. Uh, once you go Frost please don't hurt me." He said, and pulled off her necklace.
Everyone took a couple of steps back, and Cisco carefully moved the gurney that had Frost on it.
"Good luck." Julian said, as he squeezed her hand in comfort for a moment, and then took a couple of steps back.
Caitlin sealed herself, and remembered what Frost had been teaching her. As she felt her other half talk over. She mentally said something.
'I leave it too you, I trust you. Show 'em who you… show them who we are.'
A blast of cold hair shot out of Caitlin, and everyone shielded themselves. Once the cloud dissipated, they saw Caitlin… no Killer Frost sitting up, and she was looking at her hands. She then pulled up her shirt and looked at the wound she had, which had healed itself completely.
She then smirked at everyone, and looked at them. Cisco wasn't afraid to admit he almost used his powers.
"Boo!" She said to Cisco, and he let out a high pitch scream.
She laughed as she off the gurney and said," Wow, didn't expect you to scream like that. Too bad the rest of you didn't."
Julian approached her slowly, and he stood in front of her. She didn't attack him, so that was a plus. Even though the last time he had any contact with her, she was threatening him to find his Alchemy persona, in the hopes to get rid of her powers. But he wasn't the one to hold a grudge, and had faith in her or the both of them.
"So… everything good?"
Killer Frost rolled her eyes, and said," Yeah, as much as Frost's pep talks and believing in me is sappy and nauseating. Not to mention Caitlin doing the same… I think this all could work. And… can you guys give me a chance?" She asked the last part rather shyly.
Cisco then approached her, and said," Yeah, we can… no hard feelings about anything I said to you, right?"
He didn't like the look in her eye, nor what she said," We'll see about that."
Meanwhile, Barry was waiting in the training area for Peter. He told Peter the bare minimum of what happened, and was planning on telling him more once he got there. Cisco had radioed him, and he told him that Caitlin had gone full Killer Frost to heal herself. And he was relieved and happy to know that Killer Frost, or how she wanted to be called, Frost, hadn't attacked anyone. And that she wanted to change, and be a part of the team. He would've been even more happier if the alternate Frost was awake, not injured, so she could see her mentoring had paid off. He soon got out of his musings when an interdimensional portal opened, and Peter came through. Peter looked extremely worried, but he then saw Barry. He was about to speak, but Peter walked up to him, and pulled him closer by the front of his costume, and gave him a glare.
"What the hell happened?" He asked in a tone that Barry hadn't heard before. But he had faced worse before, so he could handle it.
"A magician or technologically advanced guy named Abra Kadabra from the 64th century stole some tech. We caught him, but he was let out, and he detonated a bomb that injured both Caitlin and Frost. Frost got the worst of it, and looks to be in a coma, but a healing one." Barry explained.
Peter scowled, and was about to move, but Barry stopped him.
"Peter, w-"
Peter turned around and gave Barry a look of anger, and said," Don't, Barry, I know what your going to say. Cait's told me about the unbelievable offer that this… Kadabra guy had. And not once did you idiots think it was too good to be true? That he was playing you?"
Barry glared, meeting Peter, and said," I know, Frost said the same thing. And yes, he could've been lying, but having the chance to know who Savitar is, could change things. To have the upper hand. But, we now paid the price for even remotely entertaining the offer now. Look, we can't be at each other's throats now. We need to help Caitlin and Frost, and stop whatever Abra Kadabra has planned. Okay?"
Peter scowl didn't diminish for a second, and then said," Fine, but remember this, is something like this, worth it? Is sacrificing or putting everyone in danger the only way to stop Savitar, and save Iris? Just remember the repercussions."
He then sprinted out of the room to go to the infirmary, and Barry was left alone in silence, thinking about what he said.
Peter walked into the infirmary, and felt his heart clench to see Caitlin unconsciously lying down on the gurney. Julian was standing next to her, he was reading something on a tablet that probably showed Caitlin's vitals. He looked up, and gave Peter a look of sympathy, and motioned for him to sit down. Peter did just that, and held Frost's hand and gave it light squeeze of support.
A million thoughts went through is head, including berating himself for not coming back sooner.
"By the way, there is something you should know." He heard Julian say.
Peter braced himself whatever he was about to say, and said," What is it?"
"Well uh… look to the side."
Peter raised a brow of confusion, and looked to the side. Killer Frost was sitting down, and she smirked and winked at him. He rolled his eyes at Caitlin's other half, and went back to looking at Caitlin…
He whipped his head back, and stood up. He looked at Killer Frost, and then at Caitlin on the gurney. He looked at both of them again, due to his mind still processing what he was seeing.
"Figured it out yet Parker?" Killer Frost asked amused.
That got Peter out of his thinking and blinked, and said," Uh yeah, uh… nice to officially meet you?"
Killer Frost nodded, and then looked at him up and down, and said," Likewise, and I can see why she likes you. Good form and everything."
Peter looked confused, but she continued," And don't worry, your Caitlin's fine. Healing coma. That's what my Caity going through now, and why I'm in the driver's seat."
Peter nodded, still thinking how slightly surreal this was. And he would've congratulated either Killer Frost or Caitlin for the breakthrough, but there was something else more important. He then placed his hand on his Caitlin's arm, and gave it a light squeeze.
'Please be okay, Cait's.' He thought.
He then heard running, and looked to see Cisco had come in.
"We figured out what Kadabra is doing with the tech."
Peter looked at Julian, and the latter said," Go, I'll watch her."
"Thanks." He then looked at Killer Frost." Uh, do you wanna come with?"
She shrugged, and said," The guy tried to kill us, so if getting the chance to stop him, and possibly beat the shit out of him is on the table, then yeah."
Peter couldn't argue with that logic, and the both of them walked after Cisco. They walked into the Cortex, where everyone else was at. Joe walked over to Peter, and gave him an apologetic and guilty look and said.
"I'm sorry for causing all this, Peter. Frost wouldn't be injured if I hadn't let that bastard out of the cell."
Peter realized that when he was talking to Barry earlier, he didn't disclose who had let Kadabra out. He respected the speedster a little for not disclosing that part earlier, or else he possibly would've done something that he would've regretted later. And he couldn't stay mad at the Detective, he just wanted to find a way to save his daughter's life. Peter knew that he himself would do whatever it took to save lives as well.
Peter sighed, and said," It's fine, Joe. There's nothing we can do about it now. Let's just get Kadabra, alright."
Joe nodded, feeling slightly relieved that the spider hero didn't hate him. Everyone else was also relieved that issue was resolved. Cisco himself almost sighed in relief, but he knew there was work to be done. He went to the panels, and started up a security video that had been recorded in the Time Vault. It should Kadabra opening up a panel, and then taking something from inside.
"What is that thing in his hands?" Iris asked.
"Everything that Kadabra's been stealing, these are the exact components I used to build Evil Wells' time sphere two years ago, but I could never figure out what he used for a power source. This is it." Cisco explained.
"So that's what he took from the time vault, it's power source?" Wally asked.
"Last thing he needs to return to the 64th century." Gypsy agreed.
"Well, we need to find his ass before he pulls another disappearing act." Joe said.
"If Kadabra's plan is to Marty McFly himself back to the future-"
Peter finished Cisco's thought by saying," I may be into science, and I once thought all this was theoretical at best. But from what I can understand, he'll need to open up a temporal wormhole. And that'll buy us enough time get his ass before he could allons-y his way back home."
"Yep, and I liked the Doctor Who reference." Cisco praised, and Peter nodded with a grin.
"Well you can both continue congratulate each other. Kadabra's mine." Gypsy said. "I look forward to showing him the same mercy he showed my partner." She was about to leave, but Barry stopped her.
"Hey, Gypsy, you can't go after him alone."
"Sure I can."
"You want justice for all those people that he's hurt, for your partner, right? Right now, we're trying to prevent someone we love from getting hurt, but we can't do that without your help." Barry said.
"I don't trust you guys anymore. Except for Parker, I'm surprised he isn't agreeing with me on this. Kadabra hurt someone he cares about."
Peter shook his head, and said," Yeah, I may be mad at them, and at Kadabra. But I'm not gonna let that get in the way of stopping him. We can either argue about trust and who gets him, and let him out of our sight again, but this time for keeps. Or we can work together, and stop him once and for all."
Gypsy looked like she wanted to argue, but after a moment she said," Fine."
Peter nodded, satisfied, and then looked at Cisco," I take it we can calibrate the sensors to look for any type of temporal anomalies?"
"Already on it." Cisco said as he typed into the computer.
Peter went over to help, although he almost tripped at what Killer Frost… yeah they should give her a name, said, when she looked at Iris.
"Yep, can definitely see why his Caitlin likes him."
Peter would've commented on that, and also realizing what she meant earlier when he had first met her. But he shook it off; he had a potential time traveling techno wizard to stop.
And that had to be one of the weirdest sentences he had ever thought of.
Later, as they were monitoring for any signals, Iris soon found a signal that had just came on.
Joe saw this as well, and said to the others," Guys, Abra Kadabra's heading south on ninth."
"And he just opened up a wormhole." Iris said.
"Right let's do this. We gotta find a way to either box him in, or get him distracted enough for either Barry or Wally to phase him out of his ship." Peter said. "And I got just the idea that could immobilize him."
"Which is?" Barry asked.
He looked Killer Frost. "Do you think you can freeze or disable his ship long enough to allow one of the speedsters to phase him out?"
She rolled her eyes, and said," I would be more insulted if you didn't ask me."
In the city, Kadabra's ship was speeding towards the wormhole, but it was soon blocked by Barry and Wally. The ship then took off in another direction, and both speedsters took chase.
Cisco and Gypsy teleported to where Joe told him where he was going next, and they both fired their attacks when they saw him fly towards him. The ship took off in another direction, both Wally and Barry gave chase, even running along or over buildings. Kadabra then fired the ships lasers, and one them caused Wally stop and lose momentum. He ended up falling, but Cisco shot a portal under him, and he ending up dropping on the pavement at a safer height. Barry continued to run after Kadabra, while also dodging the laser bolts that were shot at him.
"Okay he's heading on 5th and Columbus. Peter, you and Frost better use that idea you have." Joe said.
Both Peter and Killer Frost came out of one of Cisco's portals, and they could see Kadabra's ship approaching.
Peter looked at Frost, and said," Alright, first time to show these guys the you who you are meant to be. Let it rip."
Frost smirked, and said," With pleasure."
She then threw her hands out, and let out a stream of cold air. Kadabra didn't have time fly out of the way, and his ship ended up being caught in the cold air, and the ship started to freeze. Frost continued to freeze it, but then stopped when Peter patted her shoulder.
"Alright Jackie Frost, you got him." He said.
Frost smirked, and said," Should've patted a little further down."
Peter ignored the burning of his cheeks, and then watched Barry phase through the ship, and he came out the other side with Kadabra. Barry brought him back up, and Gypsy arrested him. Barry looked their way, and gave them a nod and thumbs up.
Peter mock saluted him, and then said to Killer Frost," Great job, y'know you first started off bad, but with time you'll be a great hero."
"True, although the road ahead sounds both annoying and not fun."
Peter snorted, and gave her a confident looks," But it'll be worth it in the end. I and my Caitlin will guarantee it."
And from the look she was giving him, she believed him and what he said as well.
Later Peter sat with Caitlin, who was still unconscious. He let the others deal with Kadabra, while Julian and Cisco were looking over Killer Frost.
"So, you can't hear Caitlin at all?" Cisco asked.
"No, although I do feel a slight… I don't know feeling I guess. I felt the same thing the last time I was allowed to roam around."
"If you mean when you threatened to kill me and attack everyone, then good to know." Julian grumbled, but then realized what he said. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it. I'm still getting used to this."
"It happened, and I guess sorry… do I need to make a card or something?" She asked Cisco.
Cisco shrugged, and said," I mean… a card and buying me a new video game doesn't sound bad for me."
Peter chuckled, but froze when heard moaning. He looked at Frost, and she looked to be moving a little bit. Julian and Cisco went over to check on her and her vitals, and Peter held her hand.
"Cait's, can you hear me? Are you okay?" He asked.
Frost moaned again, and she slowly opened her eyes, and winced. The latter was due to Julian waving a light in her eyes.
"Pupils are responsive, no sign of lingering issues. Do you feel any pressure? Nauseated or dizzy?"
"N-no, I'm fine. Someone help me up." She said.
Peter helped her sit up, and then hugged her. Frost was taken aback for a second, but hugged her best friend back.
"Shit, you scared me there, Cait's. Thank God your okay? How are you feeling?"
"Slightly railroaded. Almost like I did a session on Logan's personal training simulation in the Danger Room. What happened?"
Cisco motioned his head to his left, and Frost looked to the side. She saw Killer Frost sitting down, and she did a short wave.
"Hey KF." Frost said, and turned back to talk to Cisco, but she froze.
She whipped her head around, which caused her to wince, and she looked again.
"Oh my God… she did it." Frost breathed.
"Yeah, glad she isn't scared anymore… no I can feel some slight worry. But yeah, here I am." Killer Frost said with a small smile.
Frost squealed and shot her hands up into the air, but her face then scrunched up in pain. Peter laughed, and brought back down to lie down.
"Yeah I know, your student made a huge breakthrough. But I think we'll save the cheering for later. Or when you get another 100% on a test." Peter joked.
"And to take it easy for a couple of days, just in case." Cisco said.
"Okay, but, we'll be working together and seeing you grow." She said to Frost. "The new possibilities now that my alternate self accept you."
Peter chuckled, as he could tell Frost was about to go on an excited tangent about this new development. Knowing she was going to be alright, he decided to walk out, and get some time to himself, and just think. He found himself in the training area, and he noticed a punching bag. Gathering up all the anger he had since he got back, he let out a yell and punched with all his might. The bag ended up flying, then it hit the wall, and the contents of it came out. There was also small cracks forming on the wall, due to the force and impact.
"Yeah, I probably would be doing the same thing." Barry said, as he walked into the room.
Peter didn't respond, and sat down on some steps, and Barry sat next to him. They both sat in silence for moment, both having a lot of thoughts going through their minds.
Peter broke the silence by asking," So, did Kadabra say anything?"
"No, just gave the whole mortal enemies bit, and also mentioned how Savitar was the one who truly broke me. And he said that not telling me, helps him get back at me. After that, Gypsy took him away." Barry said as he rubbed his face.
Peter gave a humorless chuckle, and asked," Did you try the whole 'appealing to his humanity, and some side of him that's good' speech?"
"Yep."
"Yeah, don't take it too hard. I've tried that as well numerous times. Some take it, but most don't."
Barry nodded, and said," Got it. But I know I said it before, and you heard it from Joe. But, we're sorry for even wanting to trust or Kadabra could help us."
"And like I told you and Joe, it's fine. Yes I'm a still a little mad, but still fine. Thank god Kadabra didn't end up doing worse. But on the bright side, Caitlin is awake." He said the last part relieved.
"Wait really?" Barry asked, feeling like a weight was lifted off of him. Although he had a feeling he or someone else needed to be near Frost and also KF, once they talked to Joe. That conversation probably wouldn't be pretty.
Peter smiled a little and said," She's great, she woke up, and practically is over the moon about Caitlin and Killer- I mean Frost... yeah this'll get confusing real quick."
Barry snorted, and said," That's great. And I'm glad she's going to be okay. You looked ready to freak out or go on a warpath. Believe me, I know."
Peter sighed, and rubbed his face, and said," Yeah, sorry for earlier. Caitlin and I have known each other since... for as long as I could remember. Our parents were scientists, her dad and mine were college roommates, and would later meets our mom's. After they had us, the two of us were thick as thieves, we both played and hung out a lot. Our other two close friends soon came into the picture, but we somehow always gravitated towards each other. Caitlin is my best friend, and I wouldn't know what to do if something had happened to her."
And he spoke the truth, he couldn't remember a time when Caitlin wasn't in his life. Through all the good and bad times, sure MJ and Harry were there, but Caitlin seemed to be there the most.
Barry nodded at what Peter said, and he wasn't blind to how similar Peter and Caitlin's backstory was to his and Iris's. Iris did tell him about Frost's crush on Peter, and how Peter was oblivious to it. He even made the joke about how it was for them, Caitlin being in his shoes, and Iris in Peter's, which Iris found amusing as well. But, he wasn't sure if Peter did have feelings for Caitlin, so he knew what he was going to ask.
"So, how do you feel about her then?" He asked.
Peter gave him confused look, and said," What do you mean? She's my best friend."
Barry would've pressed it, but he felt like this was something that Peter needed to figure out on his own.
"Uh, just asking." Was Barry's reply.
Peter raised a brow, but didn't push it. Although for some reason, the question seemed to make him feel odd, but he brushed it off. And he then said," Well, I'm going to back to hang out with Caitlin. Hopefully she finished geeking out and being happy about your Caitlin finally allowing Frost to come out. After that, I'm going to call Gwen and Miles, you wouldn't believe how much I had to persuade them not to come with me." He said, and left the room.
"Wait... isn't Miles from this Earth?" Barry asked.
Peter grinned nervously, and said," Uh yeah, but he would've gotten a lift back from Gwen or Harry."
Barry watched as Peter left the room, and he was left alone with his thoughts. Today two people who he called friends and a part of the team could've died. All because of him and the others being desperate to know who Savitar was. And he thought back to what Peter and Frost said.
How much were they going to do, and how much were they going to sacrifice to stop Savitar and save Iris?
And that ends this chapter. So now that Caitlin and Killer Frost are like Frost and KF, she won't go bad and join Savitar like in canon. This may change things, or it may cause something different to happen. Who knows, you'll just have to wait and see.
And, Peter will soon start to think about his feelings for Frost in the future more.
Also I have a story idea that will focus on Peter mentoring both Gwen and Miles that I felt wouldn't flow well in this story. And now that I think about it, also with Caitlin-38 and Caitlin-1. Man I need to plan these things out more better.
