Author Note: I looked up Marissa McMahon's bio, and there is not much of her or her family. So I had to give her mom a name, and it is Madison. So I changed Marissa, who worked for her family business. They lived in Greenwich, Connecticut
Marissa tossed her husband out of their family home, and then her parents came for a visit. Marissa was sitting outside on the deck in the back of the house, thinking about everything that had transpired over the last month with her in-laws. Marissa couldn't believe her husband hired a private investigator to investigate his half-sister Kristina. Marissa smiled; she was happy to hear that her mother-in-law had changed her will to include her sister-in-law Krissy and her family and then take out of her older son Shane. She knew that would drive him insane, and his mother took him out of the will. Marissa thinks she never felt her mother's hand on her shoulder.
"Marissa, honey," her mother said softly.
Marissa snapped out of her thought about her in-laws and her husband's drama. She looked up to see her mother, Madison standing there.
"Hi, mom," she said with a smile.
"Hi, honey," she said, sitting across from her. "How are you doing, honey?"
"Okay, mom. I am trying to figure out what to do."
"That's understandable, honey. You've married your husband for almost twenty years, and had three kids together."
Marissa smiled. "That's true, mom, but I have second thoughts about my marriage. I've seen how Shane acts toward his mother and how disrespectful he was to her; I still married him and then had kids with him."
"Marissa, honey, you must tell your sons not to act like your father. Be yourself, better than him."
"True mom, I need to teach my boys to respect me, not act as their father acted toward their grandma Linda."
"Yes, honey. Teach those boys the right way to treat you and their grandma. I know that Linda tried her best after what happened, but like your sister-in-law, Kristina told him what happened between Linda, and Vince did not give him Carte Blanche to be rude or disrespectful toward his mother." Marissa nodded, in agreement with her mom.
Linda sat at her kitchen table, staring at the folder that she had taken from her son Shane. She was angry that he hired a private investigator to find information on her youngest daughter Kristina. She was pissed off at him. She opened it and took out the contents as she began to sift through the papers. Linda looked to see Krissy's birthday date that matched her. Linda continued to look through the folder's content, seeing her daughter's family history, including the businesses that her grandma owned, and how much the family was worth. Linda did a double-take when she saw the net worth of the Correa family.
"Holy cow, the Correa family is worth more, the McMahon family," she said out loud to herself. As she continued looking through the papers, she saw Krissy's net worth was impressive; her daughter's net worth was higher than her older child Shane's.
Linda chuckled. "Krissy is worth more than Shane." She continued to read the information and saw Krissy's family history. Linda looked closely at her family history, seeing that Catherine went to Yale University, then went to Yale Law school and became a prosecutor before becoming a Judge. Linda smiled. Krissy followed in Catherine's footsteps. Next, she saw Krissy's dad's bio, and his name was Anthony Juan; he also went to Yale University and attended business school.
