Chapter 31 - We Can Sometimes Be A Right Stubborn Lot ...
O – O – O – O – O – O
The march towards Fili and Sigrid's epic marriage continued. In three days, the largest wedding the Lonely Mountain had ever seen would take place between the crown prince of Erebor and the princess of Dale. Both of Jasmine's friends were nervous beyond measure as their special day approached.
To that end, she found herself traveling constantly as Erebor's ambassador to the City of Dale discussing with King Bard, all manner of preparations for his daughter's wedding to the crown prince. At times, Bard appeared as nervous as Sigrid.
And it didn't end there.
After spending time with Bard, Jasmine would visit with Sigrid trying to calm her nervous friend down. She constantly peppered her with hundreds of questions about marriage, sex, sex with a Dwarf and what expectations Fili would have of her...among other things. She patiently answered every query...sometimes answering the same ones multiple times.
Upon returning to Erebor, Jasmine would immediately go to her best friend's apartments listening to his problems. She knew that Fili would want to speak with her after returning from Dale that day and she would invariably field the same inquiries from him...How was Sigrid? Did she ask about him? Was she ready for the wedding? Was she frightened about having sex with her new husband? Some days it seemed the chats between both of her friends were never ending.
As all this was happening, Jasmine was trying to keep her own problems at bay. After Bifur's assault, she felt things between them had become strained. On the outside, no one knew what had occurred beyond Bifur, 'Oin and herself. They appeared to be the same loving couple. They both agreed the situation would never be discussed, not within the family and certainly not with their children.
The shame that Bifur continued to feel for attacking his One, his Soulmate was like a deep festering wound in his heart. No matter what she said to him, that he was not responsible, it didn't reach far enough inside to help ease his pain. Jasmine could see it in his eyes, on his face when he looked at her. At night lying next to her husband in bed they almost seemed worlds apart from each other.
She was at a complete loss how to help him. For the first time since arriving in Middle Earth and coming to live in Erebor her profound sense of loneliness overwhelmed her. Not having someone she could confide in, that would understand what she was going through finally took its toll one afternoon.
She had just completed another session with King Thorin and his council. Most of what was discussed regarded his nephew's upcoming nuptials. He also announced Prince Fili would be stepping away from his ambassadorial duties for a time after the wedding as was expected. All around congratulation were offered before continuing with other business.
Stepping out of the meeting, Jasmine began to make her way back to the family apartments. As she walked, a sudden sense of complete inconsolability took hold of her. Searching for someplace to sit and collect herself, she found a bench tucked away in a small alcove. Sitting down she began to cry and then to sob. Everything she had been feeling over the last few days came crashing down around her leaving her in utter despair.
The gentle touch of a hand on her shoulder startled her out of her abject misery. Looking up through a veil of tears she realized 'Oin was standing in front of her.
"My goodness lassie what ails ya? Should I send for Bifur?"
Shaking her head, she tried to wipe the tears from her face.
Sitting down next to her on the bench, he said softly, "Tell me what is troublin ya lass."
Taking a deep breath to regain some of her composure; Jasmine started slowly, trying to explain what was happening between her and Bifur since the attack. She didn't wish to heap her troubles on the Dwarf physician, but as she continued, she couldn't stop from pouring her heart out to him, telling him everything that had occurred. The tears started to flow again and by the end, she found herself sobbing on his shoulder.
Putting his arm around her, he allowed her to cry until she couldn't anymore. He felt heartsick for both of his friends. He knew that Bifur felt great shame for what he had done to Jasmine, but what he was doing now – in the Dwarf doctor's opinion – was compounding the hurt to his wife. He felt he was hurting her more by shutting her out, not allowing her to share with his healing process.
Realizing that Jasmine had fallen into a light sleep, 'Oin stood up gently, lifting the sleeping woman into his arms. He carried her to his office, placing her onto an exam bed in one of the rooms. He also managed to give her an additional sleeping potion - he felt that she could use one. Making sure she was comfortable, 'Oin decided he needed to have a serious talk with her yâsûn.
So leaving Jasmine sleeping, he went down to the Erebor stables, got on a pony and took a ride into the City of Dale. He needed to have a word with a certain toy maker.
O – O – O – O – O – O
Jasmine slowly opened her eyes staring up at an unfamiliar ceiling. Blinking several times, she sat up on the unfamiliar bed. Brushing a hand across her face, she tried to remember what had happened to her.
Looking about the room it finally came back to her...she had been talking with 'Oin – opening her heart to him about the issues she and Bifur were having.
'But how did I end up here?' she wondered. All her thoughts had become a bit fuzzy after that. Sitting up on the edge of the bed, she got to her feet and opened the door to where she was located.
"Hello? 'Oin? Are you here?"
Looking around his office, she soon realized her doctor friend was not there. She did find the papers from Thorin's meeting neatly stack on 'Oin's desk. Gathering them up, she left his office and headed for the family apartments.
As she walked, she was trying to determine what time it was and how long she had been asleep. Living inside a mountain was sometimes a challenge. It had taken her time to figure out how the Dwarves had achieved this feat.
It was quite the simple act really.
Torches burned at all times, but it was the custom as night approached to light very large braziers throughout the mountain – Jasmine thought it was Erebor's answer to a time change...going from day to night. Moving through the different tunnels, corridors and pathways, she realized it was late evening. She must have been sleeping for some time as when she left Thorin's council meeting it was around noontime.
Picking up her pace, she hurried home wondering what she would say to Bifur and the children for her long absence.
Arriving home, she opened the door to their bedroom and stopped in amazement.
The interior of their bedroom was littered with a multitude of small, white candles... placed everywhere around her. Stepping further inside she saw different kinds of flower petals scattered across the floor, the bed, the furniture...with a trail leading onto the balcony. Placing her papers on a table, she slowly advanced in that direction.
Jasmine's mouth fell open as she walked towards the balcony. She found flowers everywhere she looked. In front of the terrace doors, were several vases of purple flowers... her favorite color.
"What's going on here?" she whispered. Leaning over, she smelled the aroma of some of the flowers when Bifur's soft Irish voice caught her attention.
"Amrâlimê."
Turning, she realized he was standing behind her. He was dressed in the beautiful black tunic, pants and boots from their wedding. He had removed all of his hair braids and silver beads save one...his single courting braid. He had removed the braiding from his mustache as well. Jasmine thought he looked stunning.
Transfixed, she watched as he came towards her, his lips curled gently at the corners of his mouth into a soft smile. Stopping in front of her, he put one of his hands on her cheek before using the other to cup her chin slightly upward.
"Forgive me kurdunuh."
Tilting her head, Jasmine asked softly, "For what my love?"
"In an effort to come to terms with what I did to you a few days ago, I made matters worse. It was never my intention to shut you out Amrâlimê, but that was what I did. It seems I have injured you a second time...so I ask – please forgive me."
Jasmine put her arms around Bifur, resting her head on his shoulder. "What happened was beyond your control love. You were poisoned by a spider." She raised her head gazing into his eyes. "As I've said many times, I see no reason to be forgiven. But...I am glad that you've come to your senses and realized what I said was true."
Smiling, he gave her a gentle kiss before deepening it, their tongues swirling around inside their mouths. This continued for a few minutes more before Bifur stopped and took her hand leading her onto the balcony.
The late summer night sky was beautiful as a crescent moon hung high in the heavens. All the furniture had been pushed to one side and Bifur had put together a very comfortable mattress bed for them on the floor. Multiple pillows and several blankets covered it. Next to the bed was a tall, single candle stick holding a large white candle. Sitting on a small table beside it were two smaller white candles.
Bifur turned to face Jasmine taking both of her hands again. Smiling at her he said, "This night I want you and I to renew our wedding vows. Under the star filled heavens that I know you love so much, I want to take you to bed sharing our love for each other as Mahal said it was meant to be. Will you re-join your life with mine tonight Amrâlimê?"
Jasmine gazed at her husband. "Yes."
Setting up the large candle and lighting the two smaller ones, Bifur stood on one side and Jasmine the other. Taking her hands he said in Khuzdul :
"U de gonn dat Mahal horlem vennag ba'al, sar men lananubukhs menu. Likkag de zonn khann emz nal, sar men khan menu. Likkag manan de do kan, likkag an de do lyvvlosat, likkag hofuk de do kardun, sar men lananubukhs menu bi nos. Hrun dat lananubukhs menu, toglet uzgul vennag do uz zank."
Leaning over, Bifur kissed her lips before continuing
"Sar Mahal dok ba'al vok tabor voth lananubukhs. Sar E gogag men drukat nos de gelm dat rausst skilamen. Sar E gron mem ori nossilfdor un izril. Sar men azamar bi dolzekh fur imun gogaz, gabil un git."
Reaching over he handed one of the small, lit candles to Jasmine then took the other.
Raising their candles together, they lit the single large one before returning them to the table.
"Sar men bi gogan nos taal bin men drukat, Men lananubukhs bin kardun, Gelm bin men torak, Un hofuk bin men lyvv ."
Both Jasmine and Bifur put their arms around each other before he whispered to her, "Let's go to bed Amrâlimê...I want to share my love with you."
Gazing into his eyes, she nodded
Taking her hand, he led her around to the bed and began removing their clothes. Leaving only their undergarments, they started kissing before Bifur lowered Jasmine gently onto the bedding, caressing every part of her. Pulling off her shift then pushing off his thin breeches he continued to murmur in Khuzdul to her.
"Menu ur ghivasheluh...Men zirikh menu Amrâlimê...Tho ur vlitagana vrutan gorthr..."
Jasmine began breathing heavily as Bifur put his hands between her legs pleasuring her in every way possible. Her unrestrained moans and gasps brought a smile to his lips.
"Ohhhh...my love..." she whimpered lifting her body upward.
Feeling she was ready, he pushed her legs apart as he lay down between them.
"Ur tho dav rir mikk ilv kjekje tho?" he asked quietly
Jasmine gave a little whine as she shook her head. "Sakhab zut irmish rasup."
Kissing her mouth, Bifur pushed into her as he gave a deliberate pleasurable grunt before pulling out and thrusted into her again.
Jasmine couldn't help releasing a breathy squeak each time he connected his irkat with her. She pushed down on him each time before making Bifur utter his own impassioned groan.
Their loving making went on for some time, rolling and changing positions – one of them on top then the other. Their needy moans and pleased hums filled the night sky around them.
Bifur finally could tell he was about to reach his peak. His thrusting increased until he issued a guttural growl clutching Jasmine's butt tightly as he released into her. She followed him soon after.
As their racing hearts calmed, Bifur didn't want to separate from her. He kept his irkat connected to her, his body lying comfortably on top of hers.
"The feel of your irkat inside me is so pleasurable and it continues to be so. I wish this would never end." Jasmine said softly.
Nuzzling his face into her hair, he sighed lightly. "I have missed feeling you, being with you, Amrâlimê. If by chance I become dovan again, correct me."
Smiling, she nodded, "I promise, my love."
Turning on his side, he continued to hold her in her arms as they both fell asleep.
O – O – O – O – O – O
The morning sun had barely risen when Jasmine opened her eyes. She and Bifur were still comfortably wrapped in each other's arms, her head resting on his chest. Somehow, during the night, they had even managed to cover themselves with a blanket.
Snuggling into her husband's chest, she said softly, "I'm so glad you came back to me, my love. I thought I had lost you."
"That will never happen Amrâlimê."
Jasmine lifted up, gazing into his eyes. "I didn't know you were awake."
Smiling, he said, "Aye love...I've been awake for some time now listenin to the beatin of your heart...it is a beautiful sound. You have to know you will never lose me. Things can sometimes get a bit muddled in my head...but I will always be by your side."
Laying her face back against him, she smiled. "So what made you come around?"
"Let's just say someone wiser made me see the truth and what I was doin to both of us...especially you Amrâlimê."
"'Oin?"
"Aye love."
"I must remember to thank him."
"I already have."
Lying comfortably on the soft bedding, neither one of them spoke. Their gentle breathing was all that was required between them. They kept their arms wrapped around each other for a time before Bifur rolled her onto her back and began to make love again.
Giving a breathy sigh, Jasmine joined him.
The only noises that could be heard for a while were the unrestrained sounds of passionate moaning and deep, hungry, satisfied groans between them.
O – O – O – O – O – O
Knocking lightly on 'Oin's office door, Jasmine stepped inside and looked around.
"'Oin...are you here? I need to speak to you."
Coming out of one the back rooms, the elder Dwarf gave a smile to her. "Good mornin Jasmine. My...you are lookin like the wee bonny lass I've come to know. Certainly better than last I saw you."
Jasmine gave him a huge smile before hugging him. "It's all thanks to you. I don't know what you said to my stubborn yâsûn, but I can't thank you enough. You've given me back my loving Bifur."
'Oin chuckled before sitting down on the couch...Jasmine sat down near him. "It wasn't hard lass. Sometimes the only thing we Dwarves require is a basic 'knock to the noggin' to get straight. You know bein married to a Dwarrow...we can sometimes be a right stubborn lot..."
"That is something I realized early on." she replied
Nodding, he continued. "Aye well, I just needed to have a word or two with yours. You were never goin to lose him lassie...just know that. Things might have been muddled for a time, but Bifur loves you above everythin." He looked at her face, "I take it today is a better day?"
"Very much so...we even renewed our wedding vows last night."
'Oin beamed at her. "That's good ta hear lass. I knew your yâsûn would do the right thing."
Standing up together, Jasmine smiled. "I just wanted you to know we are all better...perhaps more than that. Thank you again."
"You are most welcome, but if you are ever in need I'm always here lass."
Smiling, Jasmine left his office continuing to her morning meeting with King Thorin before going to Dale. It was going to be another busy day.
O – O – O – O – O – O
The day before Fili and Sigrid's wedding, Jasmine sat alongside Tilda and Tauriel on a couch viewing Sigrid's final dress fitting. There was little that needed to be corrected. All of her bridesmaids gave their approval of the beautiful gown.
"Oh Sigrid..." Jasmine said getting to her feet, walking around her. "Fili won't be able to take his eyes off of you. You look spectacular!"
Her friend blushed. "You really think so?"
"Definitely!"
"I don't wish to embarrass myself when I stand before him and have to speak Khuzdul."
Jasmine put a hand on her friend's shoulder. "You and I have practiced quite a bit. I think you speak it well...certainly better than I did when I married. Beside all you have to get through is the wedding and everything after that will come with time and patience. And your Fili will be right next to you."
Sigrid let out a big sigh. "I know he will." Gazing at her image in the mirror, she twisted and turned slightly. "I wish I didn't feel so nervous."
"Your nerves will fade away sister..." Tilda stated, "once you and Fili go to bed after the wedding."
"TILDA!" Sigrid gasped as she stared at her sister.
"What? You told me you were anxious about pleasing him in bed.
Jasmine and Tauriel both covered their mouths to keep from laughing.
Jasmine looked at Tilda. "That's something your sister said to you in confidence...not to spread it around." Sitting down next to her, she continued, "One day you will find your special one and you wouldn't want this sort of thing to be bandied about. Right?"
Tilda nodded. "I'm sorry Sigrid. I should have thought first before speaking."
Sigrid sat down on the other side hugging her little sister. "I'm not mad."
Tilda smiled at her.
Sigrid finished looking at her dress before removing it with Jasmine and Tauriel's help. Her future sister-n-law made sure with Tilda's help that the dress was taken for safekeeping into another room. As she got into a different dress, Sigrid said, "Tilda wasn't wrong...I am nervous about satisfying my new lord. I know both of us are virgins in the bed, but somehow I think..." she didn't finish her statement.
Jasmine gave her a calming smile. "What makes you feel that your Fili has more experience when he has already told you he hasn't been with anyone?"
Her friend shrugged her shoulders. "I suppose because he has traveled more than I and might have seen some things..."
"Don't start doubting him Sigrid before you get into the marriage bed. He is just as nervous as you and also wants to please you. Just take things slow. Don't be in such a hurry to "do the deed", take your time, discover what you both like, and then pleasure each other. That's all you need to remember."
Sigrid hugged her friend as Jasmine hugged her back.
O – O – O – O – O – O
Jasmine looked in on her children making sure that they were settled for the night. Bryn was getting so big. His dark hair, so much like Bifur's had grown long enough where she was now able to put braids in it. The twins Birger and Astrid were also growing like weeds...she shook her head wondering where the time had gone.
Returning to the bedroom, Bifur had already climbed into their bed, his eyes going over some of the ledgers from the toy store. Pulling off her dress and other clothes, she washed her face before grabbing a brush running it through her long blond hair. It was a pleasant night and she decided to wear only a thin shift to bed.
As she stood in front the fireplace brushing it, she was backlit by the fire showing her supple, graceful frame through her shift.
Bifur looked up from his work issuing a soft sigh. He couldn't take his eyes from her. It amazed him having given birth to three children, she still looked like the first time they met...with perhaps a bit more maturity of her body.
Putting down her brush, Jasmine came over to the bed and crawled under the covers. Bifur had already put aside his paperwork, taking her into his arms.
"Goth tho bekna wizja vlitagana tho ur?"
Jasmine blushed slightly. "I am just like every other female in this Mountain."
Bifur slowly shook his head. "No Amrâlimê...You are the most beautiful female in Mahal's universe. Men zirup menu."
Bifur began to kiss her, moving his hands up and down her sides, feeling every line, every curve of her body. Helping her to remove her shift, he pushed back the blankets on the bed as he rolled over pulling her body onto his.
"Sit up on me Amrâlimê...take me into your loving embrace. I wish to see us make love with each other."
Jasmine felt her face go hot as she slowly took his already rock hard irkat into her. She began slowly rocking back and forth on him, as her own passions flared. Lifting up her hair before releasing it and clutching her breast.
Bifur's eyes stayed focused on her as she continued to move up and down on him. His breath came in short, raspy moans as he lifted up his crotch to thrust into hers. His urgent need for her turned into a white-hot flame. Keeping her moving back and forth on his member, he pulled her down kissing and caressing her breasts. He could feel Jasmine's hot panting breath spill across his face as their thrusting continued together.
"Oh Bifur...I'm...I'm...close."
Trying to catch his own breath, his final thrust poured himself into Jasmine as she pushed down on him begging for release. Eventually she issued a high-pitched desperate cry as she rocked back and forth.
Finally collapsing onto his chest, she continued to make tiny, breathy hums.
"Are you alright Amrâlimê?"
"Hmmmm..." She murmured stretching out her arms and legs beside her husband. "At the moment I feel so sensual."
"You do?"
Smiling she kissed him "I" she kissed along his chest "love" kissing once more "you"
Bifur produced a sharp intake of breath. "Amrâlimê...sometimes you make me feel..."
Snuggling next to him, she raised her eyebrows. "Good?"
"Aye...sometimes you make me shiver deep down into my soul after we make love."
"Do you consider that a good thing my love?"
Hugging his wife, he said, "It is a very good thing."
"I'm so very glad." She whispered. "I wouldn't wish you to miss out on all the sensations I feel after we make love."
Pulling a blanket over them, Jasmine rested her head on Bifur's broad chest as both of them felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction as they drifted off to sleep.
