The day of Xavier's birthday had arrived. To my surprise when I got up is our Mom at the stove. I thought she was making us all breakfast, but when I examined the pot of boiling water I saw a bunch of clothes in it that suspiciously look like Xavier's old middle school uniform. My thoughts were interrupted when Mom told me to make breakfast. So I went to work on Xavier's breakfast first since he's the birthday boy. I decided to make pancakes since they are his favorite.

Then Xavier appeared as Mom announced "here comes the birthday boy." As she hugged her son and kiss his cheek. As Xavier enjoyed the attention from Mom. As I finished with Xavier's breakfast and put on the table. I started on my parents breakfast. Xavier sat down and poured syrup on the pancakes and started to eat it. Then Dad came in as I finished making their breakfast and started cleaning the bowls and pans.

"Happy Birthday Son!" My Dad shouted excitedly as he presented Xavier to look like a new school uniform it is green with purple lining on the collar and all the way down to the bottom on the jacket, grey buttons on the jacket. A green and purple striped tie, and green pants. On the jacket there is a symbol of a brown gavel with a green P and a purple next to the gavel symbol.

"Son, now that your 14 you will be going to Law Academy a boarding school in New York at the end of the summer where you will learn to become what ever profession of law you want." Dad said.

"That's so cool Dad, I always want to be an attorney just like you and now I can be one!" Xavier said excitedly.

My Dad has an amused look on his face. "You know son I used to tell my Dad the same exact same thing and look how well I turn out. He was very proud of me for following in his footsteps." I scoffed at this as I look at Dad and Xavier with a glare of horrible they were. I was lucky that they didn't notice my remark. Then again it is Xavier's big day.

"Would I get to go to Law Academy and wear a uniform too?" I asked because I really didn't want to go into the family business.

My parents looked at me in shock before they ended up laughing at me. "HAHAHAHAHA!!! YOU GO TO LAW ACADEMY!! THEY NEVER WOULD EXCEPT FEMALES INTO THEIR PRE SIEGE SCHOOL!!" Dad said.

"Besides brat you'll be going to ST. James High School so you can be close to home." Mom said. Me knowing I would never be able to escape there gasp on me. "I will be giving you Xavier's old middle school uniform to wear for the next three years. It just need to be shrunk in the boiling water so it will fit you." Mom suggested.

"Huh?! But, it's a boy's uniform should you and Dad have me a female uniform?!" I asked why they couldn't provide me a decent female school uniform since they are rich.

"Listen here you ungrateful brat!! You should be lucky that we will give you a uniform at all! Your father spend a lot of money for Xavier to go to your father's school and transportation to New York! We don't have any money to buy you a school uniform. The best you can do for this family you can't be selfish!" My mother said. Which made my blood boiled. How dare they, they were the ones that were selfish. I angrily thought as I finished washing the pans.

We got into the car to drive off to Xavier's Birthday party. Which excited me since this will be my first outing as a family. I hoped that their will be more of us to go on outings as a family. That was wishful thinking because that was never going to happen. I sat quietly for 40 minutes until the car came to a complete stop until with see the ocean it was next to a teal and white large building that had a fountain near the entrance. It was an Aquarium, Xavier eyes lit up as he hugged Mom and Dad. As he got out of the car. Mom followed behind him so he didn't ran far behind.

I got out of the car and took in the scenery. It was actually breathtaking to see the ocean. The building actually looked impressive since there were posters of aquatic life since Xavier is a fan of aquatic animals. My thoughts were interrupted by someone's hand latched on my shoulder before looking at my Dad with his cold glare.

"Listen her brat! You make one wrong move, one mistake that would ruin Xavier's birthday and I will lock you up in your room for the rest of your life!" My Dad threatened me which scared me as he squeezed my shoulder hard. I just shook my head in agreement. As he let go of my shoulder as he headed inside.

When I got into the building it was whimsical, it felt like I was either in the Rainforest or in the Ocean. I saw a table full of party hats, balloons, streamers, and another table full of gifts for Xavier. The was even a birthday cake shaped like a Tiger Shark. I could see a banner saying in huge golden letters HAPPY BIRTHDAY XAVIER. It made me jealous that my brother gets to celebrate his birthday but, I didn't even get to. That when I see Xavier's teammates and the whole cheerleading squad.

"Dude! Why is your sister here! She'll just ruin everything!" Alex, Xavier's friend who has wavy blond hair and brown eyes who is on the same wrestling team as him. He is wearing his wrestling jacket, black shirt, grey jeans, and brown boots.

"My parents and me didn't have a choice! Our neighbors decided to abandon us with the runt! We couldn't leave her at home which would raise some questions!" Xavier said as Alex understood. Then a girl that was the same age as Xavier and Alex showed up. She has strawberry blond hair, brown eyes, some make up of her face and freckles. She wore a pink dress with a bow at the waist and high heels to match. This was Isabell my older brother's girlfriend she didn't like me either.

"Come on babe let's get out of her and have some fun!" Isabell suggested with excitement.

"She's right dude it's your special day let's not let your sister ruined it for us."

"Let's go see the sharks!" Xavier said excitedly as he pulled his friend and girlfriend to the fish exhibit.

Amber decided to go to the Amphibian exhibit because it looked so interesting to her. She sees all types of frogs, toads, newts, salamanders, and axxlots. She even sees an exhibit on olms, alligators, and crocodiles. Her favorite amphibian is the chameleon since they change color because they can express themselves freely. They also can blend into there surroundings like it disappeared into thin air. She secretly was jealous of these amphibian since Amber dreamed of expressing her self freely and not to have to worry about certain people ruining it for her. Then she see a young woman with a dark skin tone with her black hair tied up, she wore red glasses, a yellow shirt that has dinosaur bones on it, tan pants, grey belt with a silver buckle, her boots were a mixture of light and dark tan, there were some brown and light purple on them. She wore white gloves on her hands but the most noticeable thing hanging from her ears were ufo earrings. She was talking to a bunch of kids who were younger than her. She decided to listen to whatever this worker was talking about.

"How an Amphibian lives is due to there environment." The women said as she brought out a small pink frog that interest me.

"This little guy is a pink South American tree frog that I found on my journey to the rain forest." The women said. Then another women came as she noticed the kids they were leaving. "Say goodbye to Dr. Jane everyone." The teacher said.

"Thank you Dr. Jane!" The kids said as they left with there teacher.

Amber decided to go off and visit different tanks of fish, sea creatures, and by the otters. Amber noticed an elderly man who was watching the otters. He looked to be a short 68 old man, he wore red glasses, he has white tuffs of hair at the side of his head. He wore a grayish green coat with a button yellow shirt and a light blue tie, grayish brown trousers with brown shoes. He turned to see Amber looking and decided to strike up a conversation. "So this is your first time here at the aquarium?" The man asked.

Amber looked at the man in shock as if he knew. "How'd you know?"

"Hehehe." The old man chuckled to himself. "It's because I recognize that look on your face since I used to have it when I first came here years ago. My favorite exhibit is the otters. They are born performers. You see young lady I had a dream long ago to become an actor when I was younger. Some of the people I knew said I was a born performer. I was going to the big city to get my chance as an actor, but my traditional parents put a stop to my dreams because it was not tradition. I ended up working on the farm for years got married had kids, and now have grandchildren. Now I got a chance to live my dream with my grandchildren's support. I got a call back and I'm going to star in a movie next week. My advise to you is never give up on your dreams even if you don't have one right now you can always find one." The old man said as he left the otter exhibit with Amber thinking hard of what kind of dream she wants to have even though her family will never allow it but, it would be nice to have a goal.

Amber walked for awhile at the aquarium when she heard voices coming from the Penguin exhibit. "Leave those Penguins alone they don't like it when you bang the glass like that!" A girl her own age said with short blond hair with a strands of pink and green hair. She wore punk bracelets, a plaid skirt and a yellow shirt. She was yelling at her brother and his friends.

"Well I don't care little girl it's my birthday today and I can do everything I want! If you get in my way you and your family will be sorry!" Xavier said.

The little girl didn't look amused at this she just cross her arms and glared at them.

Xavier's friend saw the girl giving them a look as Alex pushed her to the ground as Xavier and Isabell smirk at this.

"Consider this a warning girl!" Alex yelled at her.

"Leave her alone Alex she didn't do anything!" I yelled at Alex in anger for witnessing this behavior.

"Well if it isn't my little sister. Shouldn't you be on your way enjoying your time here while you can." Xavier said in a scornful voice. Xavier looked at the glass window where the Penguins were as he banged on his glass. "Move!!" Xavier yelled at the Penguin's when they were just standing there.

"Let's go somewhere else Xavier." Alex said not putting up with those birds.

"Alright then let's go to the exhibit about Tiger sharks." Xavier said as those three left.

Amber helped the girl up. "Are you alright, I'm so sorry about my brother he can be awful." She said without any remorse.

"It's alright, thanks for saving me by the way. My same is Molly Jo, what's your name?"

"My name is Amber." She said.

"I better get going, my grandpa must be worried sick about me. Maybe will see each other again." Molly said.

"I would like that." Amber said as Molly left.

Amber stand in front of the Penguin exhibit looking at them. As she read that they were from Antarctica. Amber feel bad that they were taken from their homes.

"It must be tought to be taken from your parents. I on the other hand wished I did had a family that truly loved me and not those people I knew for years." Amber said bitterly. Then to her surprise one of the Penguins nodded at her.

"Can you understand me?" Amber said in shock then a scream was being heard. "Xavier, Alex, the Penguins moved!" Isabell screamed. That's when Xavier, and Alex were there as Xavier shouted "Move out of the way twerp!" As he pushed his younger sister to the ground hard. Then he pressed his body against the glass. Amber felt a deep anger rose within her from all the neglect and humiliation she witnessed. As her eyes glow a rainbow color. Then the glass suddenly vanished as Xavier fell into the Penguin exhibit. "Ahhhhh!" He shouted as he fell in. Amber snicked at this and was surprised when one of the Penguins escaped and said "thank you." "Your welcome." Amber said in surprise. Xavier got up and tried to get out of the exhibit only for the glass to reappear. He had fearfully look on his face as he banged on the glass. Alex and Isabell were scared as they yelled for help. Then a large crowd gathered around to see Xavier being trapped by the Penguins.

Amber laughed at the display when there mother came with a horrid look on her face as she stared at her son in fear. Then Amber felt a tight grasp on her shoulder to reveal to see her father with a cold look on his face. A couple of hours later they arrived home with Xavier's body wrapped around in a blanket while he shivered because of staying in the Penguin exhibit cold environment for to long.

"It's okay sweetie, will go inside while I make chicken noodle soup." Their mother said gently. While Amber and her father roughly pulled her into the house as he pushed her down in her room.

"What did you do!!!" Her Father screamed at her.

"I don't know! One minute the glass was there and the next it wasn't! It was like magic!" Amber shouted.

"THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAGIC!!!" With that her Father slammed the door and locked it. Now Amber will spent the rest of her life in her room. What she didn't know that a certain Salamander wizard will take her away from this horrible place.
