Sunni zipped up her bag and stretched. Midterms were over and they had four days off. It was much needed, she was ready for a break. She dressed in light faded jeans with a hole in one knee, and a black turtleneck sweater that cropped at her pant line. Her wild curls were down billowing over her shoulders as she slipped on her black boots. It was a cloudy, cool day, but she liked those best. She was slightly nervous about going to stay at the Bakugo residence, but curiosity also peaked her interest. She had yet to meet Katsuki's dad.

She felt eyes on her and turned to meet a red gaze. He watched her a moment with a blank expression before making his way into her room, up to her. He looked down at her before placing a long kiss on her lips. It was all he had thought about since he opened his eyes this morning. He reached over and grabbed her bag, "Let's go."

"Oh wow," Sunni looked over the front of the house and smiled, "Your house is pretty."

He sighed, "I guess."

"I don't think this is going to be as a bad as you are anticipating," she teased and lightly bumped his shoulder.

He didn't say anything as they walked up to the door. Before he could even reach the handle it flung open. Mitsuki smiled, "Oh Sunni! I'm so happy to see you!"

The red head smiled, "I'm happy to see you too! Your home is so beautiful!"

"Come in! I'll give you the tour," she smirked at her son, "Hey brat."

He glared and walked inside. Sunni sighed with a smile as Mitsuki shut the door behind them. Bakugo looked around, "Where's dad?"

"He's in his office working if you wanna go say hello," she took Sunnis hand, "Put the bags in your room."

The red head walked around the house, taking it all in. She hadn't had anything like this growing up. It was wonderful to see in person. She had learned that Katsuki's parents work in the fashion industry, which she thought suited the woman well. Mitsuki noticed the quiet girls eyes darting everywhere they could. She paused with a smile, "I hope you're not overwhelmed."

The red head chuckled, "It's not that. I've just never known this before," she gestured to the home, "I was always traveling. Then off tour we would live in an apartment. This...is cozy, peaceful."

"You are welcome in my home, anytime," the woman hugged her tightly, "I mean that. Even if that brat screws up."

Sunni laughed, "Have faith in him." She winked and looked at the photos on the wall, "Awww he was a cute kid."

Mitsuki beamed, "Wasn't he? He was always so smart too."

"He still is," her amused blue eyes looked at his mother, "but we won't tell him that."

"Tell me what."

Sunni turned to see him leaning in the doorway casually. A smirk settled on her lips, "Don't worry about it."

He narrowed his eyes, "I'll kick your ass to the curb."

She chuckled, "No you won't. Don't bully me."

Mitsuki grinned. She loved the way Sunni matched his energy in a fun way. She wasn't challenging him, just calling his bluff enough to make him think about it. The woman hugged Sunni, "Katsuki can I steal her tomorrow for part of the day?"

The boy shrugged, "That's up to her, not me."

"I want to take you shopping with me," the woman smiled.

Sunni nodded with a smile, "I would love that."

After a while of talking, Bakugo took her upstairs to show her where the bathrooms and bedrooms were. He opened his rooms door and flipped on the light. Sunni walked inside and looked around her eyes settling on his All Might figures. She gently picked one up, looking it over. His red orbs watched her quietly.

"You're such a fan boy," she smiled.

His eye twitched, "What the hell did you just say?"

Her hands carefully put the figure back in its place, "You heard me." Her eyes cut to him, "It's cute."

He strode up to her with a glare, "Listen here, if you don't stop provoking me-"

She looked up at him, "You'll what?"

He huffed, "I'll send you back to UA."

She narrowed her eyes with a smile, "No you won't. You'd miss me." She poked his chest, "You invited me here."

"No, the hag did."

Her infamous smirk graced her features. The one he had a hard time with, "You asked me before she did, Katsuki. And I suggest you be nice to me," she placed a kiss on his cheek, "Or I will make this the longest four days of your life."

"Don't tease me," he eyed her, "not here."

She smiled and ruffled his hair, "Relax. You're so uptight."

He let out a breath when she left to go help with dinner. This was going to be a long break.

As soon as Masaru saw her, he doted over how cute she was. Mitsuki quickly agreed, and after Bakugo scolding both of them, they settled down. She was currently helping cook dinner, chopping vegetables. Bakugo silently walked in and watched over her shoulder, "It'll take you all day like that."

Sunni smiled, "Then show me a better way."

He grabbed her hand, "Don't angle the blade like that, straighten it. Instead of going straight down," he guided her hand, "Rock the blade back."

Sunni repeated his instructions, "Like this?" He nodded and watched her.

Masaru sipped his drink, as him and his wife exchanged looks. Their son would usually throw insults when someone wasn't doing something to his standards. With her he was patient and quiet. This was a nice surprise.

After dinner they sat around and talked for a while. Sunni had shared some stories from her time traveling with her brother. They had shared funny stories about when they first started dating. Bakugo chimed in now and again, but for the most part he listened. Listened to her anyways.

Masaru yawned and stood, "Come on son, we have cleanup duty."

He made a move to object, but stopped when Sunni smiled, "I can help if he doesn't want to."

"Nonsense," Mitsuki smiled, "You helped cook. It's only fair. Come with me and I'll braid your hair."

"You better keep her around," Masaru teased his son.

"Don't you start that crap too."

He chuckled, "Can you blame us? She seems like a great young woman."

He paused for a moment before drying more dishes, "She is...so you two better not scare her away acting like idiots."

Masaru laughed, "I'll do my best. You know I can't speak for your mother though."

Sunni closed her eyes and smiled. It felt so good to have her hair braided like this. It was relaxing. Mitsuki spoke softly, "I wanted to thank you."

"For what," she opened her eyes.

"I know Katsuki can be difficult sometimes, but you're really good for him," the woman paused, "I just appreciate you being there for him."

Sunni turned and looked at the woman, "Your son is an amazing man. He just needs help processing things sometimes is all." She turned and faced her, "His whole life people have expected him to be number one. The best at what he does. He puts a lot of pressure on himself to not let them down."

Mitsuki blinked, "I've never thought about it like that..."

"As long as he wants me around, I'll be around. We promised to take things as they come, no expectations. I don't want the Katsuki people expect. I care about the Katsuki behind that mask."

"You are wise beyond your years," she tied off the braid with a smile, "I mean that."

Masaru smiled softly from the corner, hearing their conversation. Katsuki was wiping down the counters quietly. Sunni brought a calmness to him it seemed. He wasn't so wound up and looking for a fight. After everything their son had been through, he deserved to know that kind of peace.

"You know I can sleep on the floor right," Sunni suggested. Bakugo's face was still red from his mothers words when they went to bed. Something about no sex in her house.

"That damn hag," he sighed, "no, it's fine. She just wanted to get under my skin."

She chuckled and sat back on his bed, "Hey I think she held back all night for that one moment."

He watched her for a moment before shutting the blinds on his window, "Oh I'm sure."

They had taken turns showering and now laid in bed, watching a video on his phone. "Katsuki," she turned her head and looked at him. His eyes cut to her. She studied him for a moment, "All of this makes you uncomfortable doesn't it?"

"Yes," he sighed, "but it's hard to explain." He sat his phone to the side, getting annoyed with himself, "It's just new."

She nodded, "I get what you mean. It's okay to feel like that, you're not in the wrong."

He furrowed his brows, "Why are you asking me this?"

"Because believe it or not," she sat up and faced him, "I know you. You're overwhelmed right now. So I wanted to check on you."

He sat there for a moment, "I'm okay. I just gotta work through it is all."

She smiled down at him, "Okay."

He pulled her down to his chest and wrapped his arms around her, breathing in her lavender scent. She closed her eyes when she felt him finally relaxing. His breathing became even and deep, he had fallen asleep.
