The Sisters' Family Vacation:
A Couple of LOL Moments
With a yawn, Boscha made her into the kitchen. She blinked when she saw the sight before her; the kitchen was a mess. Noatmeals covered the area and one of the chairs was not only turned over but on fire.
"If I saw this two months ago, I might be freaked out," Boscha muttered nonchalantly.
Shs summoned a dowsing potion with a quick spell circle and lazily tossed it onto the chair. She walked up to the stove and smiled when saw the simmering pot of noatmeal.
"Even as a kid, Auntie Cammy treats me right," the three-eyed witch mused as she pooled herself a bowl.
With her breakfast in hand, the grudgby player went to the living room. She turned on the modified human TV set and relaxed on the couch. She was taking her first bite when she heard something crash from upstairs and followed by a familiar human's scream.
Boscha had been a (temporarily?) member of the Owl Familia for nearly two months, so the insanity doesn't bother her anymore. She wasn't even phased when a naked Edalyn Clawthorne ran past her giggling her head off.
A dripping-wet Luz wasn't too far behind her witch mother, towel in hand. Boscha laughed out loud when she saw the state her frenemy was in. Not only was Luz soaked head to toe but her arms were covered in bite marks.
"MAMA EDA! Stop right now, young lady!" Luz shouted and then blinked. "Wow, I never thought I would tell that to Eda. What are you looking at, Boscha?"
Luz had asked that of her sort of cousin when she saw Boscha staring. The potion track student just gave the human and shrug and popped a spoon full of noatmeal into her mouth.
"Nothing," she replied casually, and pointed at the bite marks. "But what's with those?"
Luz sighed as she looked at the marks on her arms. "Turns out, Mama Eda's a biter when you do something she doesn't like at that age," the human replied. "Which remains me…MAMA EDA! Get back here so I can dry you off!"
The human witch then hurried after the "knocked-down" witch. Boscha shook her head and finished her breakfast. A few minutes later Amity and Vee came into the room with Camila and Lilith.
Boscha saw that Amity was drying off her hair; she no doubt had washed out whatever Eda had put in her hair. Though she did see that the lightning bolts were still there.
Boscha turned attention to the "knocked-down" mothers in the room and took note of their new outfits.
Lilith was wearing a pair of black leggings with black and white high tops and a simple, black skirt that went down to her knees. She wore a black hoodie with a raven on it and the sleeves pulled up to the elbows.
Lilith's hair had been combed back and many hair clips now lined the current witchling's hair to keep her hair out of her face. She was wearing her normal pair of glasses and they looked comical big on her.
Boscha giggled under her breath as she turned her attention to the human in the room.
Camila was wearing a pair of denim overalls with paint stains in the color of the rainbow. She wore a pair of brown boots and a red sweater with the sleeves rolled up.
Camila's hair had been tied into a loose ponytail and there was a rainbow-colored, heart-shaped hair clip. Like Lilith, she was wearing her normal glasses. While the eyewear was magically re-sized the night before, they were still huge on Camila's face.
Boscha frowned and she made a quick sell circle. "C'mon here, you two," she said softly as a potion dropped into her hand.
Curious, the "knocked-down" mothers walked up to Bocsha. The three-eyed witch gently took Camila by the chin and carefully dripped two drops onto the human's glasses. Amity got closer and watched as her future mother-in-law's glasses began to shrink.
Boscha added two more drops and the eyewear continued to shrink. The witch continued like this for a few minutes until Camila's glasses rested comfortably on her face.
Boscha studied her work and nodded. She next turned her attention to Lilith and began re-sizing her glasses. Amity saw that her mom and aunt were in good hands and summoned her crow and made a call.
Resizing Lilith's glasses took a little more time due to them being big, but in the end, Boscha was pleased with her work. She put away her potion and caught the end of Amity's conservation.
"-Thanks, Hunter. Yeah, so you soon," Amity said and let the crow go as she ended the call.
"Why is golden boy coming over?" Boscha asked lazily.
Amity sighed and took a seat on the couch. She got close enough that she could whisper to Boscha and the potion student blushed slightly. She opened her mouth to say something and snapped it shut when something crashed from upstairs.
"MAMA EDA, PUT THAT DOWN! THIS INSTANT! HOW ARE YOU EVEN LIFTING THAT OVER YOUR HEAD?!"
The group looked up as they heard another crash. They listened for about another minute and when they heard nothing they went back to their things.
Amity looked over at the "knocked-down" mothers. She saw them playing with Owda and Rath as Vee watched them. The tri-track student frowned when she noticed two things; Camila was a little jumpy, no doubt from the noise just now. Also, the bond beasts were slightly smaller than usual.
Was it because the witches the beasts linked to were younger? Amity decided to file this into the back of her mind and talk to her mom when this was over and gave Boscha her full attention.
"Listen," Amity whispered, "You're still a little new here, but I think this was an attack…on my fiancee."
Amity sighed when she saw Boscha giving her a skeptical look. She looked back at her mom and aunt and saw that the Owl Familia's Palismen had joined in playing with the "knocked-down" mothers.
"Think about it," Amity said, "If we hadn't changed our routine for this weekend, one of us might have taken the altered potion. And if someone was smart enough to get past Hooty, then who knows what else they might be up to."
Boscha frowned as she went over her crush's words and looked at the two mothers. A soft smile graced her lips when she saw Camila laughing as she scratched Ghost's tummy. With a sigh, she looked back at Amity with a serious look.
"Alright, Blight-Clawthorne, I get it," Boscha said, "I need to get serious. So, what can I do to help?"
Amity smiled slightly and got ready to speak. Suddenly, Eda went running by them, holding a comical oversized war hammer and cackling her head off. Luz came into the room a second later, looking ready to pop from frustration.
"MAMA EDA! THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING, YOUNG LADY! PUT THAT HAMMER DOWN OR I AM GROUNDING YOU!" Luz blinked as her words sunk in. "MAN! Was that ever weird to say!"
The human witch then hurried after her witch mother, leaving everyone in the room stunned.
After recovering, Vee stood up and morphed her tail into her legs.
"I'm going to help Luz," the Basilisk said. "If not, I don't think the house will survive."
The group just nodded awkwardly, and Vee hurried after her human sister. The group listened as Vee's footsteps faded and then returned to the task they were doing beforehand.
"I tried to get in touch with Darius, but Hunter said he was busy with another task," Amity whispered to Boscha.
The young witch decided not to tell Boscha that the former Coven head was chasing a tip that would hopefully lead him to the group that had attacked Boscha's mother two months ago.
The incident last week proved that Boscha still had problems processing everything that happened to her mother.
"Hunter agreed to help in his place," Amity continued, "And I figured you can lend him a hand. We just learned the tracking potion in class, and you could use that."
"And why can't he use it?" Boscha asked with a scowl. "In fact, why don't you help him out? This is your idea."
Amity just sighed and opened her mouth. She snapped it shut when she heard Luz's voice.
"TITAN, MAMA EDA! WHERE DID YOU GET A STINK POTION FROM?"
"Be thankful it didn't hit one of us and somehow flew out the door!" Vee responded.
Amity sighed as she looked at the door leading into the kitchen. She could hear the faint cackling of her aunt and this caused her to sigh again.
"Because Vee, Luz, and I decided to watch our mothers, and given how wild Aunt Eda is being, I don't think we would be enough," Amirt explained, "Plus, Hunter is still figuring out his magic and you know that type of potion need a large amount of magic to work."
Boscha looked at the two "knocked-down" mothers and sighed. Though she didn't want to do it, the witch and human had been nothing but kind to her since she began living at the Owl House. So, she looked at Amity and gave her a reluctant nod.
Amity smiled slightly at this and called her crow back. There was one final call she needed to make, and hopefully, Willia Oldstone will be able to help.

Luz lay on the couch as she groaned heavily into the pillow covering her face. At her side, Camila frowned and patted her daughter on the back.
"You okay, Mija?" the "knocked-down" mother asked worryingly.
Luz moved the pillow off of her face with some effort and offered her mom a smile. Though everyone who saw the smile would easily see how forced it was.
"I'm going to be fine, mami," the human witch said simply, and then put the pillow over her face again.
Camila frowned as she realized her daughter was putting up a front but didn't press the matter. Instead, she looked to her right and saw the odd healer finishing up with Eda. The "knocked-down" human mother studied her sister-in-all-but-blood's outfit.
Eda's outfit was a simple pink sundress with the skirt rim tattered. She was also wearing tattered black leggings and army boots with spiked toes. Eda's outfit was completed with a dyed red leather jacket with spiked shoulder pads and spiked bracelets.
Eda's hair had proven to be a true beast to tame; five salon-grade brushes were broken when trying to comb the bard's hair. Also, trying to put anything like Eda's hair was lost in the mane of the ex-wild witch.
So, in the end, the group brushed back Eda's hair the best they took and tied a pink bandana around her head to keep her hair out of her eyes.
Willia hummed as she finished her examination and that got everyone's attention. The group looked at the healer as she wrote down something on a notepad.
"Is everything going to be okay, Healer Oldstone?" Amity asked calmly.
Willia nodded and replied, "Yes. Whoever altered the potion mustn't be familiar with them. All the person did was made the ladies very young. But have no worries the potions will only last a week and I didn't find anything suspicious floating around the ladies' bodies."
That answer wasn't what Amity was hoping for, but she would take it. She could at least take comfort that whoever messed with the potions didn't add anything else to them.
"But," Vee asked, bringing Amity out of her thoughts, "Is there anything we can do much make them grow up faster? Like that potion they gave us before our "knocked-down" weekends?"
Amity sighed and looked at her mother and aunts. She frowned when she noticed that Eda was becoming restless and was tipping her foot impatiently. She looked back at her basilisk sister and opened her mouth. She snapped it shut when a faint boom was hard and Camila jumped at the noise.
"How in the realms did you ever become the top potion student?" Hunter's angrily screamed.
"Oh, get off my back!" came Boscha's retort, "This was supposed to be my lazy day, so I'm still not in the zone."
Amity tuned out her family members' bickering and refocused her attention on Vee.
"It's not that simple," Amity explained, "You have to take an agent right before you take a potion that used any sort of transformation."
Willia nodded as she walked over to Luz. "Also, if tried to force them to grow up before the potion run its course, we run the risk of injury."
Vee sighed dejectedly and looked at her mother. She frowned as she realized Camila still was a little jumpy from the noise just a minute ago. She went over to her adopted mother and gently hugged her.
For a moment, everyone was silent as they let Camila calm down. The odd healer used this time to give Luz a get examination. Unfortunately, Eda's patience ran out and she ran toward her human daughter.
The "knocked-down" witch probably wanted to jump onto her human daughter's stomach as Luz does when she was younger. She stopped when Willia snatched her out of the air and offered her to Amity and Vee.
"I believe it best if you take the children outside to play," the healer suggested. "I know from personal experience how much energy Edalyn has at this age."
Amity nodded and took the squirming bard witch from the healer. The tri-track student then ushered her mother and aunt out while Vee went upstairs to get toys.
Once it was just them in the room, Willia returned her attention to Luz and made a spell. The human witch sighed with relief as the mild sting from the bite marks began to fade.
"How are you doing with all of this?" Willia asked in small talk.
Luz let out another, tired sigh and looked at the healer. "I feel like I haven't slept in three days and it has only been two hours."
"Yes," Willia replied with a chuckle, "Like I told Amity, I know firsthand how energetic Eda was at that age. But, I want to know how you doing, emotion-wise."
Luz gave the family healer an "is it that obvious" look before sighing. She turned so she was facing the couch and let the healer finish treating her.
"I'm not the same as when I first came here," she said somberly. "So, yeah, I know this was probably someone's going after us again."
Willia ended her spell and let a soft smile grace her lip. She kneeled down and gently patted the human on the head.
"I know what's is like to have something you like used against you, but I hope you don't let this sour your experience. The coming weekends wouldn't be the same without the "knocked-down" Coven's leader," Willia said encouragingly and her smile turned devilish. "Besides, if there is one thing I learned since becoming this family's healer is this; no enemy survives an encounter with the Owl Familia."

"Why am I here again?" asked an irritated Odalia.
She looked around at her current company and scowled deeply. All around her were B-rank "bad guys" if the posters she saw on her way out of prison were anything go by.
She could see two titan trappers, a pig demon next to the squid she meant a few hours ago. There was a Glandus student next to a demon hunter. The only three who didn't belong with this lot, outside of her, were the famous Babblerstone family.
"Before we begin, is anyone here who isn't supposed to be?" Chloe addressed the group in a conceited manner.
Almost immediately the hunter stood up. Tom looked around and he must have realized something
"Oh, this isn't the smilk man meeting? My bad," Tom said a little too joyfully and headed to the exit. "But if you need any kids pushed off a cliff, I'm your man."
The former bounty hunter gave the group a thumbs-up and then made his exit. With Tom gone, Chloe turned her attention back to the ground.
"Now that's out of the way, we ca-"
"WHY AM I WITH YOUR LOSERS!" Odalia suddenly screamed and pointed angrily at the Babblerstones. "And you're losers just for organizing this group."
"Hey," a pig demon said angrily. "I have you know I, Tibble-Tibblie Grimm Hammer III, was the best scammer on the Boiling Isles…until that witch and her family destroyed every single scam I worked and get me arrested!"
"Oh, cry a river, bacon butt," Gail said, "That witch eat my little brother just after the human came to the Issslesss. Without Adegast, I can't get thisss annoying goodie-goodie out of my head."
"No need for name-calling," Abi said sourly, which caused Gail to groan out loud.
"Hey!" Bill screamed. "You're one to talk about getting rid of things! I'm still finding slime from when that human and her witch snuggle buddy trapped me at my house with her silly little slime. Speaking of which."
Bill took off his titan's head and began to poke around in his ear, much to Tarak's irritation. In her seat, Bria just kept her head low as she muttered something she thought no one heard.
"I'm just here because mom thinks I need to focus my aggression more positively."
Odalia could feel her irritation starting to get away to frustration as the group began to argue. Thankfully, she wasn't the only one, as Chloe slammed her hand into the table at the front of the meeting hall.
"ENOUGH!" Chloe screeched and that got everyone to calm down. "We know why we're here. That human and her scrape-bin "family" had much to answer for…to us, and the entire Boiling Isles."
The gorgon actress walked over to the group and gave a condescending smile.
"The so-called "Owl Familia" may have played a key part in saving all of us, I wouldn't deny that," Chloe sneered condescendingly, "But the Isles have forgotten that human and her wild witch family had caused more havoc in less than a year then the false emperor did in his entire rule!"
Chloe suddenly pose dramatically; her lift arm pointed straight up with her index finger out, and her other hand balled into a fist at her side. Odalia just rolled her eyes at the theatrics and began looking at her nails.
"But we will show the Isles the true nature of this so-called family of heroes!" Chloe said dramatically, "And restore order as we await the true Emperor's return."
Chloe relaxed her body and made her way back to the front of the meeting room, her family closed behind. Odalia had to roll her eyes again, feeling like something cheesy was on the way.
"Because in the end," Chloe proclaimed dramatically, "We know the truth and nothing will stop us from setting the Isles free from these false heroes. For we are the League of Isles-Saviors!"
"LOL!" the group suddenly shouted.
Odalia suddenly laughed in a conceited manner and that draw everyone's attention to her.
"Something you find funny, Golddager?" Chloe asked offensively.
Odalia immediately stopped laughing when she heard her old family name. Her face twisted with anger as she suddenly lunged at the actress. Startled, Chloe could do nothing as the ex-Blight grabbed her by the shirt.
"Don't ever use that name with me!" Odalia said, radiating with such anger the gorgon swear she could feel the heat. "The Golddaggers were a pathetic family that wasted their potential. I'll rather continue to be nameless if means I never have to hear that name again. ARE. WE. CLEAR?"
Scared witless, Chloe just nodded and Odalia gave the actress a cold smile. She released the gorgon and composed herself before she addressed the group.
"And if you think your Legion of Luz-haters could do anything," Odalia coldly. "Just remember what they did to Belos."
To prove her point, Odalia pointed at a corner and the group looked in that direction. Philip, who has been standing in the corner for the entire meeting, was just cackling.
"Remember, children-CHILDREN-beat the most powerful being on the Isles," Odalia sneered, "And you think you can take on that lot. You need to plan for a hundred years just to get past that annoying house demon."
"You're one to talk," Abi suddenly said, walking up to the ex-Blight in a threatening manner. "We're aware that you have been watching the Owl Familia since you broke out and you failed because you didn't find out that a fail-safe ingredient is added to potions to stop overdosing."
"This again," Odalia scoffed with an eye-roll.
The Ex-CEO walked around the squid and made her way to Belos.
"I admit, potions bore me," Odalia commented condescendingly. "But you all can see the irony in it. That brat's taken out of the picture by something she loves. So, who cares that I didn't know about that fail-safe stuff; any good businesswoman knows how to turn failure into success. I have done it many times."
She grabbed Belos by the shoulder and began dragging him to exit.
"So, good day to all of you, and I hope you're not successful in your next endeavor," Odalia said conceitedly as she made her exit.
"We're just going to let her leave?" Shin asked his wife.
Chloe just sighed and returned to the front of the room. "Let her be, dear. Thanks to her, we have the means to finally take out that family and prove once and for all that they aren't the heroes everyone thinks they are. And once our lookout gal gets back to us, we can move."
Chloe began to cackle and soon everyone in the room joined in.

Yes, Abigail is the sister of the squid demon figured in the second episode of the series. Or is she? You'll just have to stay tuned to find out.
Also, as I said before, I wouldn't be covering the last episodes of the series, but that didn't mean I haven't worked out how the episodes played out in my corner of the TOH fandom.
As most would have guessed, Lilith and Amity would be treated like main characters instead of supporting ones. Amity would have accompanied Luz and King when they go and meet the titan trappers. The biggest change to Edge of the World would be the end; King would be knocked out and be unable to stop the Trappers. In the end, Amity would work with Luz to make an abomination dome that keeps the trapper trapped for a few days.
