The intro shows multiple clips from different Pokémon and Loud House episodes
I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To catch them is my real test
To train them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Teach Loudémon to understand
The power that's inside
Loudémon (Gotta catch 'em all), it's you and me
I know it's my destiny
(Loudémon) Oh, you're my best friend
In a world we must defend
Loudémon (Gotta catch 'em all), a heart so true
Our courage will pull us through
You teach me, and I'll teach you
Loudémon Gotta catch 'em all!
Gotta catch 'em all!
Lo-udé-mon!
The intro ends with Ash throwing a Poké Ball before a title that says "Loudémon" appears on screen.
The episode opens in a stadium with thousands of fans cheering, and Ash is revealed to be standing in the center of the battlefield
Ash: "Well, I'm finally here. It's time to take on the Loudémon League. And become a Loudémon master! (gets out a Poké ball) Poké ball, go!"
Suddenly, the Poké ball goes back to Ash and grows to gigantic size, causing Ash to panic as the Pokéball opens and sucks him in
Ash: "Hey! Cut it out!"
It's soon revealed to be a dream and a vacuum cleaner is seen sucking Ash's face, when he gets it off, it's revealed to be Mimey cleaning Ash's room. Mimey proceeds to suck Ash's face with the vacuum cleaner again
Ash: "Hey! Cut it out! What are you doing?!"
Narrator: "After winning eight badges, Ash has come back home to Pallet to follow his dream of competing in the Loudémon League. But he's just gotten a very rude awakening."
Ash is soon dressed and downstairs as Brock makes breakfast
Ash: (drowsy) "Morning."
Delia: "Well, good morning, honey. Did you sleep well?"
Ash: "Oh, I slept okay, until your Mr. Mime came in and woke me up."
Delia: "Oh? What happened?"
Ash: "That crazy clown used the vacuum on my face!"
Mimey tells Delia that the vacuuming is done
Delia: "When Mr. Mime sees something dirty, he has to clean it. Right, Mimey?"
It agrees with Delia
Misty: "Maybe now you can go another week without taking a bath."
Ash: "Mr. Mime, suck that smirk off of Misty's face!"
However, Mimey doesn't do as Ash said
Delia: "I'm sorry, Ash, but Mr. Mime only listens to me."
Ash: "Huh?"
Delia: "Oh, Mimey, would you go and pick some more vegetables from the garden, please?"
Mimey runs off to get the vegetables
Ash: "Hey, that used to be my job."
Brock: (tastes the food he's cooking) "We better eat fast. We've got a lot to learn about the Pokémon League from Professor Oak."
Ash: "Right! Professor Oak!"
Meanwhile, Team Rocket is seen heading toward their team headquarters to face their boss for their failures
Jessie: "Well, there's no use pretending anymore."
James: "We haven't successfully stolen a single Loudémon for the boss."
Ronnie Anne: "We're just victims of CFS. Chronic Failure Syndrome."
Soon, they see the HQ in the distance
James: "There's his fabulous headquarters."
Jessie: "Wait a minute. What's the worst he could do to us?"
James: "He could yell and scream and fire us all."
Ronnie Anne: "Not if we quit first."
Team Rocket: "We quit! Let's go!"
Suddenly, as Team Rocket starts to walk away, the HQ explodes
Ronnie Anne: "Hey, what's that?!"
Team Rocket is shocked when they see something fly away at rapid speed from the destroyed HQ, and it's revealed to be Giovanni's secret weapon
Jessie: "What was that thing?"
James: "I don't know."
Team Rocket approaches the remains of the building
Jessie: "The boss must be…"
Soon, Giovanni is heard and seen with Carlota, still alive and angry
Giovanni: "That thing!"
Jessie: "Sir!"
James: "Are you okay?"
Giovanni: "Now more bad news. What are you three doing here?!"
With Jessie and Ronnie Anne behind him, and Carlota in front of him, with a suspicious look on her face, James prepares to tell Giovanni that they quit
James: "We were just, in the neighbourhood."
Soon, Giovanni's helicopter comes down
Jessie: "Sir, is there anything we can do for you?"
Giovanni: "Just do your job for a change!"
Jessie: "I'm sorry I asked."
Giovanni's helicopter takes off
Jessie: "You just heard what the boss said, didn't you?"
James: "He just wants us to do our job."
Ronnie Anne: "The head honcho just gave us a major vote of confidence."
Team Rocket starts crying tears of joy
Jessie: "There's no sense in crying over lost Loudémon!"
James: "We must renew our commitment to stealing!"
Ronnie Anne: "Come on, everybody! Let's go on with the show!"
Team Rocket cheers as an explosion occurs behind them. Meanwhile, our heroes are at Professor Oak's lab. Then the doorbell to Professor Oak's lab is rung
Professor Oak: "Come in!"
Ash: "Professor Oak! It's me, Ash!"
Professor Oak: "Oh, what a surprise! It's great to see...a Skitty?!"
Ash falls face first in disbelief while everyone else sweat drops
Lincoln: (rolls his eyes) "Embarrassing."
Ash: (gets up) "Glad you like it."
Professor Oak leads the gang to his living room
Professor Oak: "It just so happens that you two aren't the only Loudémon trainer to stop by today."
Everyone notices that Gary is already in Prof. Oak's living room
Gary: "Well, now, I'm not surprised you showed up late, I'm surprised you showed up at all."
Ash: "Hey!"
Professor Oak: "Alright, calm down, you two. Why can't Pallet's two top Loudémon trainers get along?"
Ash and Gary can't believe what they heard
Ash & Gary: "Top trainers?! Not him!"
Professor Oak: "That's right. Your both such fine trainers that you'll be Loudémon masters before long. You might be able to learn from each other."
Ash, and Gary just turn away from each other. Soon, Ash's Krabby comes in carrying a tray of cups of tea
Professor Oak: "Here's your Krabby, Ash."
Ash: "How ya doing, Krabby? Long time, no see."
Gary: "That's his, huh?"
Professor Oak: "Ash, four Loudémon trainers left Pallet Town on their Loudémon Journeys, but you and Gary have earned the most badges and I'm very proud."
Ash: "What happened to the other two?"
Professor Oak: "They both got off to an excellent start, but they just didn't have the skill."
Ash: "Oh, that's too bad."
Gary: "They just wimped out."
Professor Oak: "But Gary has ten badges, and you earned eight badges, Ash. That's really quite remarkable."
Ash: "Well, gee. Thank you."
Misty: "Hey, the Loudémon deserve lots of credit, too."
Lincoln: "Of course."
Ash: "Misty's right. Maybe they deserve more credit than me."
Professor Oak: "In any case, I'm glad you're both here. It's time for you and Gary to participate in the Loudémon League."
Ash: "Alright, I'm on my way to becoming a Loudémon master! Let's go, Lincoln."
Lincoln: "Alright!"
Gary: "Oh, Ash!"
Ash: "Yeah, what is it?"
Gary: "Just one question. Where's the Loudémon League meeting this year?"
Ash starts to sweat
Misty: "Ash."
Brock: "That's one of the things we came to find out."
Gary: "I assume you know the Loudémon League only meets once a year. In the exact same place…"
Ash dashes in front of Gary and begs him to reveal the location
Ash: "Where is it? When is it? You gotta tell us!"
Professor Oak: "Atop the Indigo Plateau, exactly two months from today. And there'll be more than 200 trainers competing."
Ash: "200? Yyyyyyyeah! We're gonna beat em! Right, Lincoln?"
Lincoln: "Oh, yeah!"
Professor Oak: "You and Gary should take this time to work hard, train your Loudémon, and get ready for the tournament."
Gary: "He can try, but even if Ash had a year to train, I'd beat em with both hands tied behind my back."
Ash: "You wish."
Gary: "I'm not saying you are a bad trainer, Ash. It's just that you don't have what it takes to beat me."
Ash: "We'll just see about that."
Meanwhile, at the Ketchum house, the doorbell rings
Delia: "Coming!"
The door opens to reveal Team Rocket in disguise
Jessie: "Good morning. We're from LNN, the Loudémon News Network."
James: "Is that little son of yours home? Because we'd love to feature an interview with him about his return to Pallet for our show Loudémon Masters of Tomorrow."
Delia: "Oh, you want to put my Ash on TV?"
Jessie: "That's right."
Suddenly, Mimey sweeps the two away
Jessie: "We have to see your son!"
James: "Is he home?!"
Delia: "He's with his friends and coach at Professor Oak's laboratory!"
Jessie: "Thank you very much!"
James: "Goodbye, ma'am!"
Back at the lab
Gary: "So, Ash, I guess you're happy with how your Krabby's doing here?"
Ash: "My Krabby's fine!"
Gary just laughs and gets out a Pokéball
Gary: "Check out mine."
Gary's own Krabby materializes
Misty: "It's huge!"
Brock: "Gigantic."
Gary: "I keep rotating my team so they all get to battle and get bigger and stronger. Good trainers have to be smart enough to help all their Loudémon grow and be the best they can be."
Ash just gulps
Brock: "He's right about that, Ash."
Gary: "When you said you hadn't seen your Krabby in a while, I figured you weren't using it to battle. I bet you use the same Loudémon over and over, don't you?"
Misty: "You win that bet."
Gary: "Maybe I shouldn't have said anything, but I thought you'd like to know how real trainers work."
Brock: "You gotta stop this, Professor. There's gonna be a fight."
Professor Oak: "I'm sorry, Brock, but I'm a professor, not a referee."
Brock sweat drops
Gary: "And here's another little tip. Different Loudémon types do better against different gym leader's attacks. If you study the leader's attacks before every match, you can choose the best Loudémon to beat em."
Professor Oak: "Excellent strategy. That's my grandson."
Gary: "That's why it's so important to know what kind of Loudémon can beat your opponents attacks."
Brock: "What kind of Loudémon would you use against my Zach?"
Gary: "I'd use a water Loudémon against a rock type. But I'd have a grass type ready for backup. What would you use, Ash?"
Misty: "He'd use Lincoln."
Gary: "Everybody knows you shouldn't use an Electric Loudémon against a Rock type. What a loser."
Ash: "I'm no loser! I earned eight badges!"
Gary: "Maybe so, but how many Loudémon did you capture, Ash? Or are you too embarrassed to tell me?"
Ash: "Of course I'm not embarrassed to tell you!"
Misty: "Don't tell him, Ash. It's none of his business how many Loudémon you have."
Professor Oak: "Very interesting. (gets all of their Pokédexes) I just scanned all of your Pokédexes and compared them all together, and the results show that Gary has seen sixty different Loudémon, and Ash have seen over 100."
Gary sweat drops
Ash: "Alright! We both beat him!"
Professor Oak: "But Gary captured many more Loudémon than Ash."
Gary: "You use your Pokédex every time you see a Loudémon, but I know so much about em, I capture em first and ask questions later."
Ash: "Is that the best way?"
Gary: "Of course its the best way, if you know what you're doing. Grandpa, let's go to your lab and show em all the Loudémon I caught."
Professor Oak: "Yes. Good idea. Let's Poké round in my laboratory."
Our heroes enter Professor Oak's laboratory
Lincoln: "Wow, this is huge!"
Professor Oak: "Well, here we are. These are the Pokéballs that hold the Pallet Town trainers' Loudemon."
Our heroes are amazed
Ash: "Wow! Professor, there must be thousands of Loudémon in here!"
Professor Oak: "And these, these are the ones I received from Ash."
Misty: "That's a lot of Pokéballs."
Professor Oak: "Yes, but they're almost all Tauros from the Safari Zone."
Ash sulks as he remembers that day he caught all those Tauros
Lincoln: "Thirty times."
Professor Oak: "On the other hand, Gary's captured more than 200 Loudémon."
Gary: "Not too bad."
Ash: (shocked) "200?!"
Misty: "If there's only around 150 kinds of Loudémon you must've captured more than one of some kinds."
Gary: "You can never have too many Loudémon, that's my motto. The more Loudémon you have, the better position you're in to win battles."
Ash: "You may have a lot of Loudémon, but I bet they're not your friends."
Gary: "Friends?"
Ash: "Having lots of Loudémon isn't important, it's what you teach and what you learn."
Gary: "I'd say that, too, if I had as few Loudémon as you."
Ash: "Oh yeah? The ones I have are ten times better than yours!"
Gary: "You're not as good a trainer as I am. Why don't you just admit it?"
Ash: "I'm a better trainer than you'll ever be!"
Professor Oak: "You both have very different, but very valid, views on training Loudémon. On your journeys, you each captured different Loudémon, and with your different personalities, you learned to understand and care for them in different ways."
Gary: "Yeah."
Ash: "Guess you're right."
Professor Oak: (kneels down to Lincoln) "Loudémon are special, and they need our special care."
Lincoln: "We do?"
Professor Oak: (rubs Lincoln) "Just like every other living creature, they deserve our consideration and our respect. If we care for them the way we care for those we love, we'll be able to live in peace as we learn about them and ourselves. My research has taught me that we need to deal with Loudémon like we need to deal with people, as individuals, if we want to discover their mysteries."
Brock: "Is that why you decided to take care of so many Loudémon, Professor?"
Professor Oak: (gets up) "Yes, it is. And not only does every Loudémon I care for become part of my research, but they also become part of myself."
Gary: "A part of yourself?"
Meanwhile...
James: "My legs are killing me."
Ronnie Anne: "My hands are pounding."
James: "Whose idea was it to come in the back way?"
Ronnie Anne: "It wasn't mine."
Jessie: "Oh, stop your complaining! Professor Oak's research area is gigantic."
James: "Well, I'm getting tired."
Ronnie Anne: "Let's take a nap."
Soon, Jessie kicks a pebble which hits a tree
Jessie: "Quiet! Keep walking."
Suddenly, in response to the pebble hitting the tree, a bunch of Kakuna drop down from it, causing Team Rocket to panic
Jessie: "If those are Kakuna.."
James: "There must be.."
Ronnie Anne: "Beedrills nearby! Run for your lives!"
Right on cue, a swarm of Beedrill fly in and attack as Team Rocket runs for it
James: "We should've known they'd be in a Loudémon researcher's garden!"
Jessie: "Than why didn't we?"
Ronnie Anne: "Quit fighting, keep running!"
Suddenly, they run right into a Snorlax
James: "Get the license plate number."
Team Rocket realize what they ran into
Team Rocket: "Snorlax?!"
Soon, the Beedrills close in on a frightened Team Rocket. Meanwhile, Professor Oak tells our heroes about his usual day to day routine
Professor Oak: (narrating) "Every morning, I start my day by checking on all the Loudémon. (aloud) Good. Now. who needs to come out of their Pokéballs today? (Narrating) Then, I let the Loudémon out of their Pokéballs so they can get a bit of exercise and fresh air. Of course, I've created special areas for each type of Loudémon. Then, it's time to feed the Loudémon their breakfasts, and you can imagine how long it takes to feed so many different Loudémon. As soon as I'm done, it's time for lunch. (laughs) In the afternoon, I begin my research. (a girl is seen on an examination table) For example, I've recently been studying the variations of individual Loudémon of the same types. The findings are extremely interesting. (another girl is seen on another examination table right next to the first one) Then there's dinner, and back into the Pokéballs they go. (our heroes, Prof. Oak, and Gary are seen stepping out into the field where the Loudémon are) And that's basically what I do every day."
Ash: "You must get to learn a lot, living with so many Loudémon."
Professor Oak: "Yes, living here certainly gives me a unique opportunity to research and communicate with lots of interesting Loudémon."
Gary notices a Doduo come up to him
Gary: "Hiya, Doduo. How's everything going today?"
Ash: (gets out Dexter) "Is that your Doduo?"
Dexter: "Doduo, the Twin Bird Pokémon. It runs faster than it can fly."
Brock: "Professor, this is such a great place, the Loudémon must love it."
Professor Oak: "I hope so, Brock. I designed this place so I could study Loudémon the proper way, in their natural area, living free. When Loudémon live in an environment like the one they were born in, it's easier to observe how they're affected by their trainers. In fact, I just made an interesting discovery in that area."
Ash: "What was it?"
Professor Oak: "Loudémon frequently take on the characteristics of the humans who capture them."
Ash: "Hey, that's true!"
Misty: "I didn't know that!"
Brock: "You know what that means?! I think I might have a girlfriend! (thinks of Susie standing next to him) Susie loved Abigail and gave her to me, now if Abigail is like me, and she still loves her, that means she loves me."
Gary: "Hey, what's up with this guy?
Misty: "He's on vacation in Fantasy Land."
Lincoln: "Oh boy."
Professor Oak: "Of course, this effect only occurs when a trainer keeps in regular contact with his or her Loudémon. Because Ash always uses the same Loudémon, his Krabby and Muk stayed here. And so, it's not surprising that they've become somewhat attached to me."
Soon, Muk appears right on cue. Everyone but Brock soon sees Muk charge forward and give Professor Oak a hug, only to see him get knocked down by it
Professor Oak: "Oh, Muk! How many times have I told you not to do that?! You're mucking up my favourite lab coat! You see? I told you Loudémon get attached to you, didn't I?"
Muk proceeds to cover Professor Oak. Meanwhile, Team Rocket is seen climbing up a rocky hill
Jessie: "We'll have to do this the hard way."
Ronnie Anne: "The hard way's our specialty."
James: "I can hardly stand this!"
Jessie: "Quite whining and keep climbing or we'll never get Lincoln!"
Jessie suddenly stops, and realizes she put her hand on that of Zach, only for her to throw him away
Jessie: "Go, Zach!"
Jessie soon finds that she put her hand on the head of a Sandshrew, which proceeds to attack her
Jessie: "Oh, my makeup is ruined!"
Soon, a rumbling is heard and felt, and Whitney appears before Team Rocket, who proceed to run away from her as she pursues them
Team Rocket: "Run for it!"
Meanwhile, our heroes are admiring the Loudémon in their areas
Misty: "Oh, wow! Look at all the water Loudémon!"
Ash: "Professor, I bet you have every kind of Loudémon in the world, don't you?"
Professor Oak: "Definitely not, Ash. We believe there are lots of Loudémon that no one has ever captured or even seen."
Brock: "Yeah, some people used to say long ago that there are only 150 Loudémon. Then we discovered Skitty."
Ash: "Yeah, come to think of it, the day I left Pallet, I saw a Pokémon that even Dexter didn't know about."
Professor Oak: "It's still a great mystery. No one knows how many kinds of Loudémon there are in this world. Finding new and different Loudémon is a never ending quest."
Ash: "You know, Professor, I'm gonna find as many new Loudémon friends as I can."
Gary: "Me, too! And I'm gonna train them to be as strong as they can be!"
The two trainers look at each other
Brock: "They really love Loudémon."
Misty: "Then maybe they can like each other."
Gary: "Come on, Ash! What do you say we have a Loudémon battle? All three of us could use a little practice before the Loudémon League."
Ash: "Alright, Gary. I'm ready when you are!"
Lincoln: "Me, too!"
Suddenly, an explosion is heard and the smoke from the aftermath is seen in the distance
Misty: "Hey, what's that?!"
Ash: "Yeah."
Professor Oak: "That smoke's coming from the Electric Loudémon preserve! Let's go!"
In the preserve, Team Rocket is revealed to have been caught in a combined Voltorb and Electrode explosion
Jessie: "That smoke gets in your eyes."
James: "Show me the way to go home. I'm tired and I want to go to bed!"
Ronnie Anne: "Volare!"
Ash: "Hey!"
The group approaches
Ash: "I should've known it was you!"
Lincoln: "Team Rocket!"
Ash: "What are you three up to this time?!"
Jessie: "Take a guess!"
James: "We followed you here so we could grab Lincoln!"
Ronnie Anne: "We're through messing around, so hand over that little boy and make it snappy! Then clean out your ears and get a load of this! May I invite you to prepare...
Jessie & James: "For trouble."
Ronnie Anne gets in between the two and bushes the sides of their faces with her hands
Ronnie Anne: "Yeah! And while you're at it, you better make it a triple!"
Jessie: "To protect the world from devastation!"
James: "To unite all peoples within our nation!"
Jessie and James proceed to attack Ronnie Anne as they continue
Jessie: "To denounce the evils of truth and love!"
James: "To extend our reach to the stars above!"
Jessie: "Jessie."
James: "James."
Ronnie Anne: "Ronnie Anne!"
Jessie: "You stay out of this, Ronnie Anne!"
James: "Stop stealing our material!"
Ronnie Anne: "Alright. Alright."
Gary and his grandpa just watch on in bafflement
Jessie: "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"
James: "Surrender now, or prepare to fight for that boy!"
Ronnie Anne: "Ronnie Anne! That's right! Now hand over Lincoln and the very utter Loudémon you got stashed here, or we'll just take 'em!"
Jessie & James: "Right!"
Ash: "You're not taking anything!"
Gary: "If you want these Loudémon so badly, try and get em. (gets out a Pokéball) Let's battle!"
Both sides charge, but suddenly, Ash's herd of Tauros crash through the gate and send Team Rocket, who noticed them coming and panicked, blasting off
Jessie: "Why can't good things happen to bad people?!"
James: "Who knows?"
Ronnie Anne: "Well, at least we didn't get fired."
Team Rocket: (sighs) "But we're blasting off again!"
Misty: "Have a nice flight!"
Brock: "Those guys sure know how to make an exit."
Gary: "Well, we sure took care of them. Didn't we, Grandpa?"
Ash: "We didn't really do anything, Gary."
Professor Oak: "That's not true, Ash. You're the one responsible for saving my research center."
Ash: "I am?"
Lincoln: "He is?"
Professor Oak: "All of those Tauros out there are yours."
Ash turns and sees the herd
Professor Oak: "You were the one who captured them. And if they hadn't run Team Rocket off, who knows what would've happened?"
Ash: "I guess you're right. Good thing they were here." (laughs and waves to the herd)
Gary: "I'm gonna head on home now."
Ash: "I thought we were gonna…"
Gary: "This has been a long day, and besides, we can have our battle when we get to the Loudémon League."
Ash: "You're on! You can lose to me at the Loudémon League."
Gary: "You just better make sure you train as hard as I do. See you in two months, Ash!" (walks away)
Later, our heroes are looking out over the pasture where some Loudémon are grazing
Ash: "In two months, I'll be competing in the Loudémon League."
Misty: "Two months seems like forever."
Brock: "Yeah, but he's got a lot of work to do."
Ash: "We'll be ready. Right, Lincoln?
Lincoln: "We sure will."
Ash: (chuckles) "Yeah. I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna start working right away!"
Right on cue, a pile of planks of wood land in Ash's arms
Professor Oak: "Good."
It's revealed that Professor Oak gave him the wood
Ash: "What's this?"
Professor Oak: "You can start working right away on the fence your Tauros broke."
Ash cannot believe what he just heard
Professor Oak then gives Brock and Misty hammers and nails, so they can help
Professor Oak: "Here. Give them a hand."
Misty: "Us, too?"
Professor Oak: "Believe me, helping others, sharing their burdens, that's the way to become a better trainer, a better friend, and a better person."
Lincoln: "Oh boy."
Ash, Misty and Brock soon gets to work
Narrator: "And with those wise words, Ash begins to learn much more, about the Loudémon League, and about life."
