The intro ends with Ash throwing a Poké Ball before a title that says "Loudémon" appears on screen.

The episode begins with the local Dodrio calling out to wake everyone in town up

Narrator: "With the Loudémon League less than two months away, Ash is back in Pallet preparing for the big competition. He's sticking strictly to a punishing daily regiment. Rising with the sun, reaching for the stars, racing with the...Hey! Where is Ash, anyway?"

It's soon revealed that Ash is still asleep, and Mimey sweeping disturbs both him and Lincoln. In fact, Lincoln ends up electrifying both Mimey and Ash after the broom passes over him, catching Delia's attention in the garden and waking Misty up, who was asleep in the top bunk

Misty: "What's that? (yawns) It smells like Brock burnt the eggs."

Mime was seen sweeping up the house. Soon, then they sat down to breakfast

Brock: "Two eggs, sunny side down for Ash. And my super secret recipe mystery omelet for Misty."

Misty: "Oooh! Thanks, Brock!"

Soon, Delia comes in

Delia: "Ash, since you're taking a break from training, why don't you help me in the garden? When you finish breakfast."

Ash: "I am training. I have a lot of training to do today."

Delia: "Oh? Is that so? Where are you training today?"

Ash: "Well, today we're all gonna climb up into the mountains for some really tough training."

Misty: "What?! You never mentioned mountains to us!"

Ash pulls Misty aside

Ash: "Just play along, okay? And I'll explain when we get outside."

Ash starts nudging Misty toward the door

Ash: "Well, bye, mom. See ya."

Brock: "Hey! Wait for me!"

Ash: "Hurry up, let's go."

Misty: "Quit pushing! What's the big rush anyway?"

Ash: "You don't know my mom! I'd rather climb mountains than do chores for her! She'd have me working so hard in her garden that I'd be too wiped out to battle in the Loudémon League!

Brock: "I bet your mom would make a great Loudémon trainer."

Lincoln: "But she has Mimey."

Soon, Delia comes calling

Delia: "Oh, kids! On your way back from the mountains, could you stop by the Xanadu nursery and pick up three or four-hundred pounds of fertilizer for me?"

Ash: "Told ya! Run for it!"

Lincoln: "Hold on! Wait up!"

Our heroes soon run off

Ash: "See you later, mom!"

Delia: "Wait!"

We catch up with our heroes in a wooded part of Pallet Town

Ash: "That was close."

Soon, Misty spots something

Misty: "Ash, what's that thing?"

Our heroes soon spot a large dome in the distance over the trees and later approach it

Misty: "It's gigantic!"

Brock: "Looks like a green house."

Ash: "It's the Xanadu Nursery, the place my mom was talking about. We use to come here all the time. I'm surprised its still in business. The man who owned it moved away a long time ago. I wonder who runs the place now."

Brock: "It's sure filled with a lot of beautiful things. Trees and vines and flowers and plants and…"

Soon, Brock sees something else that catches her eye, a girl with long purple hair and rushes toward the glass

Brock: "That girl's more beautiful than any flower I've ever seen."

Ash: "What are you talking about, Brock? I don't see any beautiful girl."

Misty: "Just turn around."

Ash: "Misty, please. Only one of us can hallucinate at a time."

Brock: "I saw her right there. Right there in that clearing."

Ash looks and spots Paige humming as she walks by

Ash: "Huh? You're getting misty over Paige?"

Misty: (pulls the sides of Ash's mouth) What are you saying about me?

Ash: "I wasn't talking about you!"

Misty: "What's that matter? I thought you liked being Mr. Big Mouth."

Soon, someone approaches from behind

?: "What are you doing here?"

The group notices the man holding a tank on his back and a nozzle in his hands, causing our heroes to panic

Brock: "Watch out!"

Misty: "He's...Got a... Flamethrower!"

Ash: "Don't shoot! We weren't doing anything! Honest, we weren't!"

Misty: "We'll leave right away, just don't use that flamethrower!"

The man looks at the group confused. Soon, our heroes are inside the greenhouse

?: So, you're both training for the Loudémon League? I always wanted to be a Loudémon trainer. My name's Potter, and I work here in the nursery. A lot of trainers visit cause their grass type Loudémon love it.

Ash: "Good idea. Lola, I choose you!"

Lola materializes

Lola: "You called?"

Ash: "Come on, ! Want to go look at all the flowers and stuff?'

Lola: "Sure!"

Lincoln: "Let's go!"

Soon, Lola and Lincoln run off while Ash and Misty run after them

Ash: "Hey! Wait for me!"

However, Brock hangs back to ask Potter about the girl he saw

Brock: "Um, when we first got here, I saw a girl inside the greenhouse."

Potter: "Oh, you must be talking about Florinda."

Brock: "Florinda. What a beautiful name for a wife."

Meanwhile, the rest of our heroes have come across a patch of flowers

Misty: "How pretty."

Ash: "Where's Lola?"

Lincoln: "There she is."

Soon, Lola is seen smelling the flowers.

Lola: "Wow, this smells nice! I wonder what the flowers smell like."

She proceeds to smell another flower which made Lola feel different making her eyes dreamy as she blushed. Then she walks over to Ash and hugged and kissed Ash's leg once she approaches him.

Ash: "Lola, what's the matter?"

Lola slides to the ground giggling while Misty get a good look at the sign describing the flower that Lola smelled

Misty: "Poké-nip. It says its smell affects Loudémon like catnip affects cats."

Ash: "Hey, take it easy, Lola."

Soon, Lola starts smelling another plant

Ash: "Be careful, will ya?"

Soon, Lola collapses

Ash: "Lola!"

Lincoln: "Are you alright, Lola?!"

Ash: (gets close to the plant) "What is this?"

Soon, a woman's voice is heard and soon revealed to be Florinda

Florinda: "Stop! Don't smell that plant!"

Everyone looks up and sees her on an overlooking bridge

Florinda: "That's Stun Stem! If anyone, Loudémon or trainer, smells that weed, they become totally paralyzed!"

The group is shocked by the revelation

Ash: "What do we do? Lola smelled it!"

Florinda: Paige, quick. Bring Lola into the house.

Paige is soon seen

Paige: "Okay, Florinda. Right"

Paige lifts Lola up and tries to carry her toward the house. Soon, the group is in the house outside the nursery, where Paige brings some medicine, which she pours into Lola's mouth and cures her of her paralysis.

Ash: "Lola, you're okay!"

Both Ash and Lola embrace each other.

Lola: "Oh, I'm fine."

Florinda: It's a good thing Paige's been tending some medicine in the nursery for so long. She's built up a strong resistance to it, and developed that antidote. Lola should be fine now.

Ash: "Lucky for us. Thanks, Florinda."

Lola soon approaches Paige

Ash: "Lola?"

Lola soon starts looking at Paige with lit up eyes, and both of them start smiling

Lola: "Paige, I know this might be awkward but, wanna go outside and play together?"

Paige: (giggling) "Sure, I'd love to."

Lola and Paige soon leave the room to play with each other.

Misty: "Aw. It looks like those two are really having a great time with each other."

Ash: "It's nice to see two Loudémon with so much in common getting together."

Misty looks behind her out the window

Misty: "Oh, it looks like Paige & Lola aren't the only ones getting together."

Ash and Lincoln look behind and spots Brock standing next to Florinda on the balcony.

Lincoln: "Brock's at it again isn't he?"

Ash & Misty: "Yep."

Florinda: The Xanadu Nursery's been in my family for generations and now they need me to run it, but I'm a big failure as raising Loudémon. I can't even help Paige evolve into Lainey. And if I can't do that, how will I ever be able to run a huge nursery?

Brock: "But I'm sure you taught Paige some attacks."

Florinda: "A few, but Paige deserves a better trainer, and my family deserves a better daughter."

Our heroes are surprised by Florinda downing herself

Potter: "She's tried. Florinda even got a Leaf stone and used it on Paige so she would evolve into Lainey, but it just didn't work."

Florinda: "It's all my fault. I guess the reason why Paige won't evolve is because I haven't given her enough love."

Brock: "No! Florinda, don't you see? You love Paige so much that she doesn't get depressed, and that's the reason why she doesn't evolve."

Florinda: "Maybe. Still."

Soon, a familiar voice is heard

Professor Oak: "Hmm. This problem has nothing to do with loving a Loudémon too much or too little."

Everyone is shocked by the professor's sudden arrival

Everyone: Professor Oak?!

Professor Oak: "This Leaf stone is a fake!"

Ash: "A fake?! Professor what are you doing here?"

Professor Oak: "I've been getting reports of some con artists who've been pedaling phony evolution stones, so I decided to do a little investigating on my own."

Brock: "Florinda, what did the people who sold you the Leaf stone look like?"

Florinda: "Well, there was a guy who wore his hair kinda long, like this. And a girl with big hair, like this. And a girl wearing a purple sweater."

Ash, Misty, Brock & Lincoln: "I knew it! That's Team Rocket!"

Soon, Team Rocket is seen hiding in a bush inside the nursery.

Jessie: "Prepare for trouble from the girl with big hair!"

James: (peeks out of a bush) "And make it double from a guy with hair like that there!"

Jessie: (jumps out of the bush) "Ha! To protect the world from devastation."

James: (scrambles out of the bush) "To unite. My hair looks alright, doesn't it?"

Jessie: "To denounce the evils of truth and love."

James: "To extend our reach to the stars above."

Jessie: "Jessie."

James: "James."

Jessie: "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!"

James is revealed to be the base of the Team Rocket logo, as Ronnie Anne walks by casually

Ronnie Anne: What's that matter? Someone got your tongue?

Jessie and James collapse.

Ronnie Anne: "Maybe we should get out of this place, before that girl finds the Leaf stone we sold is a fake."

James: "Don't be such a scaredy cat. We can't pass up this opportunity. There must be rare Loudémon here, somewhere."

Jessie soon spots a sign for Stun Stem

Jessie: "Beware, Stun Stem."

Team Rocket start crowding around the sign and plant

Jessie: "With one whiff of this weed, we're guaranteed to succeed."

Ronnie Anne: "Maybe."

Up on the balcony of the house outside the nursey, our heroes have some tea as Florinda regrets her decision

Florinda: "I can't believe I let Team Rocket trick me into buying a fake Leaf stone. But maybe it's just as well that they did. It proves that I'm not smart enough to run this nursery by myself. I'm just so useless!" (breaks up)

Brock: "Don't worry, I'll get you a real Leaf stone."

Ash: "Ahem. I wouldn't promise that if I were you. You don't have any idea where to find a Leaf stone, do you, Brock?"

Brock: (stammers) "But first I'll track down that Team Rocket and get all your money back!"

Misty: "Oh, don't worry. They usually seem to find us, sooner or later."

Soon, an alarm sounds on a computer

Potter: "Oh no! Somebody's in the greenhouse, stealing plants!"

It's soon revealed to be Team Rocket

Ronnie Anne: "I've got a green thumb for thieving!" (laughs)

Florinda: (gasp) "The guy with the hair like this, and the girl with the hair like this, and the girl with the purple sweater! They sold me that Leaf Stone!"

Lincoln: "Well, what are we waiting for?"

Ash: "Come on!"

Brock: "Let's get em!"

Misty: "I told ya."

Lincoln: "You guys go ahead I've gotta go find Lola."

Lincoln runs off to find Lola and Paige chasing happily around the greenhouse.

Lincoln: "Lola, we've got trouble. Team Rocket is inside!"

Paige: "Who's that?"

Lola: "They're the ones who sold Florinda that stone to make you evolve!"

Lincoln: "You might want to go to her!"

Paige: (nods) "Okay."

Lincoln and Lola run off to meet up with the others who were currently on their way to find Team Rocket. Soon, our heroes enter the greenhouse and spot Team Rocket.

Brock: "Okay, freeze!"

Jessie: "Well, wouldn't you know it? Those pesky little pests are back again!"

Ash: "And we feel the same about you!"

Brock: "Come on, let's throw 'em outta here!"

Florinda stops on the bridge

Florinda: "Stop that! Those plants are like children to me!"

James: "Well, look who it is!"

Jessie: (scoffs) "Another unsatisfied customer."

Brock: "How low can you three go? You sold her that fake Leaf stone!"

Jessie: "We knew we've been bad and we wanted to change our ways, so the three of us decided to turn over a new leaf."

James: "But the leaf was fake!"

Both Jessie and James laugh

Brock: "That's not funny."

Lola: "Those punks."

Paige: "How dare they?"

Brock: "We're in a greenhouse, right? So we need a Loudémon like Lola!"

Ash: "Lola's the best one! Lola go do it!"

Lola nods and leaps into action

Ash: "Time em up with your Arm Whip, Lola!"

Lola extends her arms and wrap Team Rocket up, to Florinda and Paige's amazement

Florinda: "Oh, Lola! That was wonderful!"

Paige: "Amazing!"

Ash: "Nice work!"

Jessie: "Just because we're tied with these vines doesn't mean you'll win."

James: "Any second now, we'll be saved by our secret weapon."

Brock: "What's that?"

Soon there is an awkward silence

Jessie & James: "Ronnie Anne! What are you waiting for?!"

Ronnie Anne is seen using an old medical rolling stone used to grind up herbs

James: "Ronnie Anne! What's taking so long? Hurry up!"

Ronnie Anne: "Ah, don't rush me, guys. Using ancient herbal secrets, I have shaped a sphere certain to stun you."

She tosses the sphere

Ronnie Anne: "Play ball!"

The sphere bursts around our heroes and they're stunned.

Florinda: "Watch out! Don't breath in any of that powder! It's very powerful Stun Spore!"

Paige: "Oh boy, this can't be good!"

The powder dust soon clears and our heroes are paralyzed

Ash: "I breathed in!"

Lincoln: "Me too."

Brock: "I can't.."

Misty: "I can't move!"

Professor Oak: "All the strength has been drained out of me!"

Soon, Lola's arms loosen and Jessie and James are freed. And Jessie picks up Lincoln as she laughs triumphantly

Ash: "No! Lincoln!"

Jessie: (laughs) "We always knew you were too weak to be a Loudémon trainer."

Lincoln: "Ash, help me."

Ash: Lincoln!

Team Rocket laughs in triumph as Florinda and Paige watch in worry.

Brock: "Florinda, hurry! You have to get Paige to battle Team Rocket!"

Florinda: "Oh, I couldn't! I haven't trained Paige well enough for her to be in battle! I just know Paige wouldn't stand a chance of winning a battle against their Loudémon! I'll just run and get some of my healing herbs!"

Ash: "Florinda, you have to! They'll run off with Lincoln if you don't!"

Brock: "Florinda, don't run away. Paige is our only hope. You can do it!"

Florinda: "I can't."

Brock: "Please, Florinda!"

Both stare at each other

Brock: "I know you can do it."

Florinda: "I'll do my best. Paige, go!"

Paige: "Right!"

Paige leaps down

Lola: "Paige."

James: "Ha! Those wimpy weeds are no match for Team Rocket."

Jessie: But we can't let a challenger go without a battle. Jackie, go!

James: "Mandee, go get 'em!"

Jackie and Mandee materialize

Mandee: "Prepare to lose."

Jackie: "Your no match for us!"

Jessie: "Jackie, Toxic attack!"

James: "Mandee, Smog attack!"

Both girls let loose their fumes, surrounding Paige

Florinda: "Paige! See? Paige can't battle and it's all my fault!"

Brock: "No, Florinda, you can't give up! Now, think! You must have taught Paige to be good at some kind of attack! Please, don't give up! Just try!"

Lola looked at Paige

Lola: "Please, Paige."

Florinda: "Paige, maybe you could give your Double Team attack a try!"

Paige starts glowing

Paige: "Well here it goes."

Jessie: "What's that?"

Soon, multiple copies of Paige surround Team Rocket

Ronnie Anne: (screams) "It's a whole room full of Paige's!"

Jackie: "There's too many of them! They're everywhere!"

Mandee: "I don't even know who is the real one!"

They end up smacking into each other, causing them to attack again, but this time on their own trainers and teammate as Paige stops her attack

Brock: "It's working! Now's your chance to win the battle with a more powerful attack!"

Florinda: "Brock, do you think a Solar Beam attack would be good?"

Brock are in shock that Paige knows Solar Beam

Brock: "You taught Paige the most powerful grass Loudémon attack?!"

Florinda: "Oh, do you think I shouldn't have? I saw it in a Loudémon magazine and I thought I'd give it a try."

Brock: "No, I just hope it works. Give it your best shot, Florinda!"

Florinda: "Right! Alright Paige Let's try your Solar Beam attack!"

Paige charges up as the fumes around Team Rocket clear, just in time for them to see what's about to happen. At the same time, Lincoln pinches Jessie's arm so that she can let him go and get out of the way

Jessie: "You little rat!"

Lincolns lands next to Lola just as Paige's eyes began to glow and fires her Solar Beam attack blasting Team Rocket out of the Xanadu Nursery

Team Rocket: "We're blasting off again!"

Florinda: "Well, Brock, was that okay?"

Brock: "That was okay, Florinda."

Professor Oak: "That was the most impressive Solar Beam I've ever seen."

Misty: "Awesome!"

Potter: "You were great."

Lola kisses Paige as a thank you. Later, Florinda, Lola, and Paige are outside when Brock comes out

Florinda: "Well, is everybody feeling better?

Brock: "Yeah, we all took some of Paige's antidote and everybody's feeling just fine!"

Florinda: "Brock, I'm so amazed. I can't understand how Paige got to be as strong as she has."

Brock: "You didn't know it, Florinda, but Paige was getting all the time because of the love and care you gave it. She's so powerful, there's no need to make her evolve, now."

Florinda: "Thank you for saying that, Brock. Before you came, I didn't think I could do very much of anything. But you and some of your friends helped me believe in myself. Now I feel ready to run this nursery for my family. That is, if one very special guy is there to share it all with me."

Neither of the gang present can believe what they're hearing, thinking that Florinda just popped the question

Brock: "Uh, well, I.. This is so sudden! I've always dreamed of having someone like you! Someone who's kind and talented and beautiful as you are! And now you've made all my dreams come true! Yes, Florinda, darling! Yes, I'll share my life with you!"

However, Brock turns and sees Ash and Misty where Florinda was

Ash: "Hey, Brock, were you talking to somebody?"

Misty: "I think you've had a little too much of that antidote."

Brock turns and sees Florinda and Potter together

Florinda: "I was wondering, well, I'd like it very much if we could run my family's nursery together."

Potter: "Do, you mean?"

Florinda: "Yes! I mean, I love you!"

Potter: "Florinda, I love you, too. I've loved you since the day I saw you, and I was too afraid to tell you."

The wind blows as Potter pulls out the ring and puts it on Florinda's finger, to our heroes' joy and Brock's disappointment as he drops to his knees

Brock: "Rejected by the one girl I loved. I'll never find another one like her again!"

Ash: "Don't worry, Brock. You'll find plenty of other girls to reject you. Come on! Let's get some flowers for my mom and head home."

Misty: "Hey, Ash. You didn't do any training. The Loudémon League competition is less than two months away. When are you gonna get ready?"

Ash: "Don't worry, Misty. There's always tomorrow."

Misty just groans in frustration

Narrator: "Don't be so sure, Ash. You are already one tomorrow closer to the battle of your life."
