The intro shows multiple clips from different Pokémon and Loud House episodes
I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To catch them is my real test
To train them is my cause
I will travel across the land
Searching far and wide
Teach Loudémon to understand
The power that's inside
Loudémon (Gotta catch 'em all), it's you and me
I know it's my destiny
(Loudémon) Oh, you're my best friend
In a world we must defend
Loudémon (Gotta catch 'em all), a heart so true
Our courage will pull us through
You teach me, and I'll teach you
Loudémon Gotta catch 'em all!
Gotta catch 'em all!
Lo-udé-mon!
The intro ends with Ash throwing a Poké Ball before a title that says "Loudémon" appears on screen.
The episode begins with a view of Pallet Town before cutting to a view of Professor Oak's Lab
Narrator: "Even though Ash has tried to train for the Loudémon League competition, he still has a lot to learn. So he and his friends have decided to get some last minute advice from Professor Oak."
Ash: "Professor Oak, please tell me, what should I do?"
Misty: "Why don't you quit now and save yourself some embarrassment?"
Ash: "I'm asking Professor Oak."
Brock: "You see, we planned on training a whole lot, but we seemed to get sidetracked a whole lot more."
Ash: "I could sure use a little extra coaching, Professor."
Professor Oak: "It's too late for pointers, young man. If you're not ready for the Loudémon League now, you should quit and go home!"
Ash: "WHAT?!"
Lincoln: "SAY WHAT?!"
Professor Oak: "But if you want to compete, I suggest you leave, right now."
Ash and Lincoln make a dash for the front door
Lincoln: "Right! Let's move it!"
Ash: "Right! Thanks for the advice!"
Soon, Ash and his partner are ready for the journey to the Indigo Plateau
Ash: "Hurry, mom! We've gotta go!"
Lincoln: "Pick up the pace!"
Delia: "I'm coming!"
Delia puts Ash's backpack on his back
Delia: "Don't worry, Ash. I think you trained more than you think."
Professor Oak: "No matter what, Ash, always do your best."
Ash: "Right!"
Misty: "Thanks for letting us stay with you, Mrs. Ketchum."
Brock: "You helped us a lot."
Delia: "I enjoyed having all of you. Bye, Skitty, Lincoln."
Skitty purrs in happiness
Lincoln: "See you soon."
Ash: "Come on, guys!"
Delia: "Good luck, honey! Be careful! Have a good time!"
Everyone bids Mrs. Ketchum, Mimey, and Professor Oak farewell as they begin their journey to the Indigo Plateau
Narrator: "And so, our heroes finally leave Pallet Town, heading for the Indigo Plateau and the start of the long awaited Loudémon League."
Our heroes are seen trudging through some tall grass, looking at a map for the Indigo Plateau
Brock: "This looks like a shortcut to the Indigo Plateau."
Soon, something dashes by our heroes in the grass
Ash: "What was that?"
Our heroes soon see a figure leaps into the air and down to them, and then a distance away in a battle position
Ash: "Who's he?"
Misty: "What are you scaring us for?"
?: "Forgive me, I was simply testing you. You appear to be traveling to the Loudémon League competition. Am I correct in saying so?"
Ash: "Well, what if we are?"
?: "Well, then. I, Otoshi, challenge you."
Ash was confused
Lincoln: "Challenge?"
Otoshi: I've trained for a long time all alone here in the mountains. But I seek one last battle to test my strength before the Pokémon League. Do you accept my challenge?
Ash: "Sure, I'll battle you."
Otoshi: "And whoever loses this battle must turn over all his Loudémon badges to the one who triumphs."
Ash: "All my badges?! You must be crazy! I need those badges!"
Misty: "That's right! If Ash lost those badges, he wouldn't be able to compete in the Loudémon League!"
Ash: "Come on, guys, we gotta go."
Otoshi: "If that is your attitude, you need not hurry to the Loudémon League."
Ash suddenly stops
Ash: "What did you say?"
Otoshi: "If you are so afraid of losing to me in a private match, then what chance do you or your friend have in a Loudémon League match? Lose your badges now, or lose them later."
Ash: "I'm no loser! I accept your challenge!"
Misty: "Don't do it, Ash!"
Brock: "What if you lose your badges?!"
Ash: "Don't worry. I'm gonna win."
Soon, the combatants are standing across from each other, ready to begin
Otoshi: "I choose Chad!"
Ash: "Lola, I choose you!"
Lola materializes, followed by Chad who was a lanky, brunette boy who wears a dark red vest over a yellow checkered long sleeve collar shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
Lola: "Let's go!"
Chad: "Prepare yourself."
Ash: (gets out Dexter) "Who's that?"
Dexter: "Chad, a Bone Keeper Loudémon. Despite his size, his offensive and defensive strength is impressive."
Brock: Better watch out, Ash! Chad is bad to the bone!
Ash: "That's fine with me, because I could use a warm up for the Loudémon League! Lola, Tackle attack, now!"
Lola: "Get over here!"
Lola charges, but Chad moves out of the way
Chad: "Missed me!"
Ash: "Lola, Arm Whip attack, now!"
Otoshi: "Chad, Focus Energy attack!"
Lola: "Take this!"
Lola launches her arms as Marowak focuses its energy
Otoshi: "Bone Club, now!"
Chad: "Not today young lady!"
The attack deflects the vines, to Lola's shock
Lola: "What?!"
Then he dashes in like a ninja warrior and strikes, taking Lola down in one shot.
Lola: "Oh no!"
The wind blows as Chad remained in the spot he stopped as Lola stood shocked before collapsing to the ground.
Brock: "This is bad!"
Misty: "Ash could lose his badges!"
Ash: "Lola, return, now!"
Lola returns to her Poké ball
Ash: "It's your turn, Lincoln."
Lincoln: "Alright, I'm going in!"
Lincoln leaps onto the battlefield
Ash: "Lincoln, watch out for Chad's Bone Club!"
Lincoln: "Gotcha!"
Lincoln dodges ever strike that Chad throws, and proves to be too fast
Chad: "Hold still!"
Lincoln: "You'll never get me with that bone of yours!"
Ash: "Okay, Lincoln, Thunder Shock!"
The attack lands, and Chad is knocked out
Otoshi: "Chad!"
Ash: "Alright!"
Lincoln: "I've won again!"
Ash: "Looks like I win the badges."
Otoshi: "I can't believe it. You defeated Chad, my strongest Loudémon. But, but I have no badges to give to you."
Chad: "I'm afraid he's right."
Our heroes are confused
Misty: "You mean, you didn't have any badges to start with?"
Otoshi: "Well, you see…"
Ash: "You acted like you had badges when you never did, but your little scheme to get my badges backfired, didn't it?"
Otoshi: (teary-eyed) "That's not so. Please, let me explain. My eight badges have been taken from me."
A flashback begins, showing Marowak defeating the other gym leaders and then fighting Blaine's Magmar for a Volcano badge while Otoshi narrates
Otoshi: (V.O.) "I battled my way from one gym to the next with Chad at my side. It was a difficult journey. (aloud) (in flashback) Chad! Don't give up!"
Chad gets back up and strikes down Magmar to win Otoshi the Volcano badge
Otoshi: (V.O.) "We struggled and battled and never lost hope."
(Flashback ends)
Otoshi: "We finally won eight badges, we were on our way to the Loudémon League."
Ash: "So, where are they now?"
Otoshi: "Chad and I had just earned our eighth badge, and were coming out of the mountains heading toward the Indigo Plateau, when it happened."
Another flashback begins with Otoshi heading to the Indigo Plateau with Chad.
Otoshi: (in flashback) "All our hard work and training finally paid off, didn't they, Chad?"
Chad: (in flashback) "It sure did."
The two suddenly stop
Otoshi: (V.O.) "In the road just ahead was the most delicious looking fruit. We were so hungry from our battles, we rushed to taste it."
It's soon revealed that it was a trap, devised by Team Rocket
Ronnie Anne: (in flashback) "We caught something!"
Jessie pours the badges into the box, and Team Rocket realizes what they caught
Ronnie Anne: (in flashback) "Hey, look! Badges!"
Otoshi comes to, and Team Rocket decides to split
Ronnie Anne: (in flashback) "Exit, stage left!"
Otoshi and Chad realize they were robbed
Otoshi: (in flashback) "All our hard earned badges are gone!"
Chad: (in flashback) "Darn!"
The flashback ends
Otoshi: "All our struggles and sacrifices were for nothing. And we were so close to being in the Loudémon League."
Chad: "Now we're never getting in."
Misty: "I wonder who could've done such a terrible thing."
Brock: "They stole your badges and your dream."
Lincoln: "Who was it?"
Otoshi: "Our dreams stolen by a girl wearing a purple hooded jacket."
Lincoln: "Ronnie Anne?!"
Ash: "A girl with a purple hooded jacket?"
Misty: "It must've been Team Rocket!"
Brock: "We should've known."
Otoshi: "Without those badges, I'll never get into the Loudémon League!"
Ash: "Don't you worry, Otoshi, we'll get those badges back for you!"
Misty: "We can't, Ash! We'll miss the start of the competition."
Brock: "We have to get going!"
Ash: No. We have to get those badges back! (reveals his badges) I worked had to earn my badges, too.
A flashback occurs of all of Ash's previous gym battles.
Ash: "I know how I'd feel, if somebody stole all of my gym badges."
Brock: "You're right."
Ash: "Stealing from is like stealing from them all!"
Lincoln: "You said it!"
Ash: (extends his hand to Otoshi) "Let's get those badges back!"
Otoshi: "I will never forget your kindness."
Elsewhere in the woods, James and Ronnie Anne are laughing
Ronnie Anne: "Oh, that was too easy! Could you believe those suckers really fell for the fruit?!"
James: "And getting those gym badges was easier than slipping on a banana peel!"
Ronnie Anne: "If I had known grabbing badges was this easy, I would've just camped out here and ambushed trainers instead of running around to all those gyms."
James: "Ronnie Anne, let's take another peek at all those beautiful badges."
Ronnie Anne: "Excellent idea, my dear James!"
Ronnie Anne gets in the balloon and looks for the box containing the badges, but can't find it
Ronnie Anne: "The badges are gone!"
James: "They are?"
Ronnie Anne: "I can't believe it. Jessie and I hid themem. (realizes Jessie is missing) Hey! Where is Jessie, anyhow?"
James: "I think she said she had a little shopping to do in town. And then she ran off carrying a big, square package wrapped in a big, green handkerchief."
Ronnie Anne: "She stole 'em! Jessie stole our stolen badges!"
James: "Jessie?!"
It's soon revealed that Jessie does have the badges
Jessie: "Ha! I finally got my very own set of badges! Now I can enter the Pokémon League competition and prove I'm the world's most talented, most glamorous trainer!"
Jessie starts fantasizing herself in the Loudémon League
Jessie: (V.O.) "There I'll stand. Alone in the spotlight, with thousands of adoring fans cheering me on. My victory will be a giant step up on the stairway to stardom!"
Fantasy scenario ends
Jessie: "No more sharing the stage with those silly, sniffling, sniveling stooges! From now on, I'll be a solo superstar!" (laughs maniacally)
Soon, Luan was seen circling over something
Ash: "Luan! You and the others see anything?!"
Luan: "Yes, come follow me!"
Luan soon flies in a direction
Misty: "It sounds like she spotted something, Ash."
Ash: "Yeah, let's go see."
Lincoln: "Right!"
Meanwhile, Team Rocket's balloon starts rising
Ronnie Anne: "We gotta find those badges."
Our heroes soon show up
Ash: "Hold it right there! You robbers!"
James and Ronnie Anne to find Ash and his friends chasing after them
Ash: "Luan don't let them get away!"
Ronnie Anne: "Uh oh."
Luan reaches the balloon and gets out a sharp needle where she points it inside. The balloon lost the air and came down to the ground.
Ronnie Anne: "Shot down again!"
James: "They burst our bubble."
Otoshi: "Return the badges you stole from me."
Chad: "Yeah give them back!"
James: "We can't do that."
Ronnie Anne: "You aren't the only victim around here, pal."
Otoshi: "What are you saying?"
Chad: "Whatever it is say it now!"
James: "We were robbed, too! We don't have the badges."
Ronnie Anne: "He's being honest, for once."
Misty: "Well, we'll just see if that's true."
James & Ronnie Anne: "What are you gonna do?"
Soon, all of Team Rocket's belongings are laid out
Misty: "Are you sure this is everything you've got?"
Both James and Ronnie Anne confirm
Ash: Let's see. A couple of cookies, a slingshot, some cans of chow, a hairbrush, a cattail.. Hey! What's this wax for?"
Ronnie Anne: "I like to keep myself nice and shiny."
Ash: "You see any badges?"
Brock: "Well, I see binoculars, a notepad, some makeup, broken sunglasses, and.. photos of yourself?"
James: "Well, you see, I like to look at myself in my spare time."
Ash: "A bunch of bottlecaps, some pogs, some tabs from soda cans."
Brock: "This is just a pile of junk!"
James: "Yes, but it's got sentimental value!"
Ash: "Looks like the badges are gone."
Ronnie Anne: "We already told you that. Jessie took all of the badges."
Ash: "Jessie?!"
Chad starts acting mad
Otoshi: "What's wrong, Chad?"
Chad: "I don't want ta be your partner anymore."
Otoshi: "What?! Is this true, Chad?"
Chad still acts mad toward Otoshi
Chad: I was willing to put up with all the hard training, and tough battles, cause I was dreaming of being in the Loudémon League competition. Now, just a couple a days before the competition, this happens. And all that hard work and suffering was for nothing. So, farewell."
Otoshi: "Don't go, Chad.
Otoshi touches Chad's shoulder, but Chad bats him away, to Otoshi's shock, and he walks away
Otoshi: "Wait!"
Chad keeps walking
Otoshi: "And we were, so close to going to the Loudémon League."
Ronnie Anne: "You still might be able tao buy a ticket."
Otoshi: (grabs Ronnie Anne) "This is all because of you!"
Ash: "Chad's only gonna come back if we find Jessie and get those badges.
Brock: "You're right."
Misty: "Let's do it!"
Soon, the balloon is patched up and airborne
Ronnie Anne: "We gotta find Jessie and those badges before those so called heroes do."
Meanwhile, far up ahead, Jessie is seen walking to the Indigo Plateau in a disguise
Jessie: (chuckles) "Even James and Ronnie Anne will never recognize me in this disguise."
Soon, the cunning thief comes across another trainer who has all eight badges and has stopped to look at them
?: "Wow. I finally have enough badges to get into the Loudémon League."
Jessie: "Hello there, fellow trainer. Well, look at all the badges you have. (gets out the box with the badges she stole) Take a peek at my collection." (opens the box)
?: Hey, you must have worked pretty hard to get all those.
Jessie: (chuckles) "Not as hard as you might think."
?: "Here, take a look at mine." (shows Jessie his badges)
Jessie: "Oh my. How, pretty."
?: "I battled hard to win as many as I could."
Jessie: "Well, one can never have too many badges, can one?"
Up in the air, James and Ronnie Anne spot their target
Ronnie Anne: "Are you sure that's Jessie down there?"
James: "I'm positive. (remembers all the disguises he and she had worn over the course of the show) Jessie and I have worn lots of disguises and we share a certain sense of style. Even under all those veils, I recognize that fashion flare anywhere."
Ronnie Anne: "Yeah!"
The balloon lands while the trainer and Jessie talk
?: "Thanks. Your gym badges are pretty impressive, too."
Jessie: "How nice of you to.. Oh my goodness! Look over there!"
?: "Where?"
Jessie reaches her hand in the case in an attempt steal the badges, but a Team Rocket smoke bomb stops her
Jessie: (coughing) "What's going on here?"
James: "Prepare for trouble."
Jessie recognizes those words
Jessie: "Prepare for trouble?"
James: "Yes, and make it double."
Jessie: "To protect the world from devastation."
James: "To unite all peoples within our nation."
Jessie: "To denounce the evils of truth and love."
James: "To extend our reach to the stars above."
Jessie: "Jessie."
James: "James."
Jessie: "Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light." (removes her disguise)
James: "Surrender now, or prepare to fight."
Ronnie Anne: (holding the badge box) "Ronnie Anne! That's right!"
The trainer runs away in panic
?: "It's Team Rocket!"
Jessie: "I was so close to stealing all of that kid's badges, but you had to come and ruin everything!"
Ronnie Anne: "Well, you can steal from some kid, but not from us!"
James: "You have disgraced the disgraceful Team Rocket!"
Jessie feels crushed by her actions and by the fact that she failed
Jessie: "My moment in the spotlight is over."
Ronnie Anne: "We can steal more badges and be rottener as a team than we can as individuals."
Jessie: "Alright. As long as I'm the rottenest."
James and Ronnie Anne fall over in disbelief as our heroes show up
Ash: "Hold it right there!"
Jessie looks and notices the group
Misty: "You've got Otoshi's badges and you're gonna give them back to him right now!"
Jessie: "Ha! If you want them back, you'll have to challenge me to a Loudémon battle."
Before either of our heroes can step up, Otoshi does
Otoshi: "Those badges are mine. I accept your challenge to battle."
Ash: "But you don't have Chad."
Otoshi: "I will use my Doduo for this battle."
Jessie: "Alright, Jackie, go!"
Jackie materializes and laughs
Otoshi: "Doduo, go!"
Doduo materializes
Ash: "I don't know about this."
Meanwhile, Chad is still walking through the forest until he comes upon a group of trainers. The camera shows a trainer training a little boy named David who had fair skin, black bowl cut hair, wears glasses, has freckles, wears a yellow sweater with lines, a white lab coat, blue pants, and brown shoes jumping.
?: "Okay, David, keep jumping!"
It cuts to another trainer with a Chansey
?: "Alright, Chansey, here you go!" (tosses a ball to her Chansey)
Another trainer was seen with Rusty as kicks the kick pad
?: (holding up a practice kick pad) "Come on, Rusty, this is our last workout before the competition. We're gonna win the Loudémon League as a team. Just you and me."
Chad gets a flashback to his endurance training with Otoshi by sitting under a waterfall)
Otoshi: (flashback) I know that training is hard, Chad, but we can get through it together.
It then remembers jumping through a ring of fire
Otoshi: (flashback) That's the spirit, Chad! If you can do it, I can do it, too!
Otoshi jumps through the ring, but sets himself on fire. The two are then seen eating watermelon up on a hill
Otoshi: (flashback) "Chad, you're getting the seeds all over your face."
But Otoshi too has watermelon seeds on his face as the flashback ends. Chad gets teared up and rushes back to Otoshi. Back at the battlefield, Doduo is getting beat by Jackie
Jessie: "Go, Jackie! Beat those birdbrains!"
Jackie attacks repeatedly
Otoshi: "Doduo, what's happening?!"
It's soon revealed that the two heads are fighting with each other
Otoshi: "Oh no! It's confused and the two heads are fighting each other!"
Ash: (gets out Dexter) "What?"
Dexter: "Doduo, a Twin Bird Pokémon. Once its heads begin to fight each other, Doduo becomes incapacitated."
Jackie charges and takes down the Doduo
Otoshi: "It's over!"
Jessie: (laughs in triumph) "Looks like I win again. I'll just take your Doduo, too. Poké ball, go!"
However, before the Poké ball can hit the target, a boomerang comes in and knocks it away to the confusion and surprise of Team Rocket and our heroes. It's soon revealed to be Chad.
Otoshi: (laughs) "Chad!"
Both look at each other in understanding
Misty: "Hey, look guys! Chad is back!"
Lincoln: "Ready to go."
Otoshi: "Alright, return, Doduo!"
Doduo returns to its Poké ball
Jessie: "Alright, Jackie, go ahead and beat that little skele-twerp!"
Jackie: "This shouldn't be a problem at all!"
Jackie charges
Otoshi: "Chad, Focus Energy!"
Chad focuses all his power into the upcoming next strike
Jessie: "Jackie, Double Edge attack!"
Otoshi: "Chad, Bone Club!"
Chad knocks back Jackie in one strike
Otoshi: "Alright, Chad, time for your Boomerang attack!"
Chad tosses his boomerang, knocking Jackie back upon impact, leaving Jessie in shock
James: "I'll handle this. Mandee, go!"
Mandee materializes
Mandee: "Alright, now your facing me!"
Ash: "Lincoln, go!"
Lincoln leaps in and electrocutes both girls, forcing Team Rocket to retreat to their balloon with the badges still in hand
Otoshi: "The badges!"
Chad: "I'll get em."
Chad throws his Boomerang and completely destroys the balloon, sending Team Rocket blasting off once more and causing them to drop the box with the badges, though Misty catches it
Misty: "Got em!"
Jessie: "My chances at stardom were stolen from me!"
James: "Please don't mention stealing!"
Ronnie Anne: "I should've grabbed a banana for the trip."
Team Rocket: "Team Rocket's blasting off again!"
Later, Otoshi and Chad reconcile
Otoshi: "Chad, thank you for returning and getting our badges back."
Chad: "You're welcome. I'm sorry about earlier."
Otoshi: "Will you battle by my side in the Loudémon League?"
Chad: "I'd be honoured."
Ash: "I'm glad you two are back together."
Otoshi: "Thanks to you."
Misty: (hands the box to Otoshi) "Here are your badges. Safe and sound."
Otoshi: "I will be forever in your debt. Now our dream of competing in the Loudémon League will come true. Isn't that right, Chad?"
Chad: "That's right!"
Misty: "I'm sure happy we helped get those badges back."
Ash: "Yeah."
Brock: "You know something, Ash? Even if we are late for the start of the Loudémon League competition, you did the right thing by stopping and helping somebody who really needed help."
Ash: Thanks, Brock. I hope we do the right thing at the Loudémon League, too.
Lincoln: "I do, too."
Later, as the sun sets, our heroes look over yonder and see their destination, the Indigo Plateau.
Brock: "Hey, look! There's the Indigo Plateau!"
Ash: "Yeah!"
Lincoln: "Let's go!"
Ash dashes ahead, as Misty and Brock rush to catch up.
Narrator: "Well, our heroes have almost made it to the Indigo Plateau, the site of the Loudémon League. Tomorrow, Ash will have to prove himself a winner in competition. But today, he proved himself winner at life."
