"Let me get this straight," said Qui-Gon after the twins explained everything. "Your sister turned your mother into a dragon and snuck her out of the castle and you faked that you were playing a game?"
"Only to buy her some time," said Anakin. "She knew that the others would prefer to slay first, ask questions second."
"But Kara's gonna find that gypsy and change her back." Carmine said.
Suddenly, Boba and Omega were groaning and holding their stomachs.
"My tummy hurts!" Boba cried.
"I think I'm gonna throw up!" Omega groaned before burping loudly.
"Wait a minute," said Carmine. "Isn't that how Mom looked just before she...?"
Uh oh! This didn't look good.
Meanwhile, Kara and Shmi continued to follow the wisps until they reached a dead-looking part of the forest. It was foggy and spooky, and there looked to be no forms of life whatsoever.
Kara looked up and saw a sign of stone with a symbol that matched one she'd seen on a ring the gypsy had shown her.
"Why did the wisps lead us here?" Kara wondered out loud.
"I'm not sure, but it must be important." Shmi said.
Kara and Shmi looked around.
Kara soon found some stones that looked to form stairs, and she climbed them, her stepmother following close behind. They climbed and they climbed until they reached the ruins of what looked like an old castle.
"Whoever they were, they've been gone for a long time-AHH!"
"KARA!" Shmi exclaimed. "Kara?!"
"I'm fine, Mom. Just fine." Kara said, getting up and dusting herself off.
Kara looked around and found herself in a room filled with more stones. Aside from the little ray of light from the hole she'd fallen through, it was very dark in there.
"What do you see?" Shmi asked.
"Um... it's hard to make out, but it looks like... a throne room."
Kara journeyed a little deeper into the ancient throne room and grew a little more curious.
"Do you think this could've been the kindgom in the story you told me? The one with the princes?"
"It's possible," said Shmi.
And that was when Kara spotted something interesting. A big stone-carved portrait of what looked like three brothers... but the end was broken, and Kara noticed the broken piece contained a picture of one last brother, his face scratched up and cracked.
"The oldest." Kara gasped.
"It must be the kingdom from the legend then." Shmi gasped.
"Split, like the tapestry."
And it was then that Kara had an epiphany, and a flashback of when she tore the tapestry with her lightsaber. The legend, the ring that the prince had given Morpha's mother for a spell.
"This spell has happened before." Kara looked around and saw some old skeletons and broken suits of armor she hadn't noticed before. And then she remembered what Morpha said the prince had wished for. "The strength of ten men. Fate be changed. Changed his fate."
Kara's fear only grew as she put the clues together, and then she realized...
"The prince became..." Kara froze as she heard a snorting sound, and smelled a whiff of smoke. And when she looked behind her, she saw something she hadn't seen since she was little. "Sidious."
The dragon tried to snap Kara, but she got out her arrows and tried shooting Sidious. The arrow stuck in him, but it had no effect. Then she got out her lightsaber and tried to strike him again. It barely left a scratch, but it distracted him. Sidious tried to bite Kara again, but she was too fast for him, and she quickly started to climb up to her stepmother, who reached out her claw as far as she could as her stepdaughter jumped.
Shmi grabbed Kara's hand and quickly pulled her out of there, and they were safe from the dragon... or so they thought.
Suddenly, Sidious burst out from the ruins of the castle and breathed a big ball of fire. Kara ducked down as Shmi countered the flames with her own and then swung her strong tail against a huge stone, dropping tons of rock onto Sidious, giving Shmi time to get Kara onto her back and spread her wings for the first time.
Shmi didn't know how to fly completely, but she knew enough to take off and land them in the same circle of rocks they'd started at.
Both girls were breathing heavily as they believed they'd finally lost the demon dragon... at least for now.
"Mom, we have to get back to the castle." Kara said. "If we don't hurry, you could end up like Sidious. A real dragon forever!"
"How do we break the spell then?" Shmi asked.
"Mend the bond torn by pride." Kara recalled. "The gypsy gave us the answer. The tapestry."
And so, the queen and the princess began their way back to the castle. But... the king and princes were having problems of their own.
"Maybe if they spit it out!" Carmine panicked, squeezing poor Omega's stomach. But he only succeeded in making little Omega cry.
"Carmine! Don't do that!" Qui-Gon said, taking the little girl into his arms. "You're hurting her more."
Anakin held Boba as the younger boy's clothes started to tear, and he and his sister each transformed into... a dragon!
Boba and Omega were actually really cute dragons. Boba was blue, and Omega was blonde colored like her hair, and both of them were very small too. Teh twins looked at each other and screamed.
"What happened to us?!" The twins panicked.
"That cake you ate was magical." Anakin said. "Long story. We have to do something before the other lords see you."
"Here's how we shall proceed." Qui-Gon said. "Boys, take the little ones to your rooms and make sure no one else goes in there. Diamond, with me."
Anakin took off his cloak and wrapped it around Boba to keep him, tail and all, hidden. Carmine did the same with Omega. Meanwhile, Qui-Gon stood tall and went to deal with the lords.
