After leaving the prison, Korra put her head in her hands and sobbed. She sobbed about her suicide attempts and she sobbed about Kuvira's suicide attempt. They really were so similar and that's why Korra so desperately wanted to help Kuvira.

After she finished crying she drove back to the city where she stopped at the local bar.

"Let me get a gin and coke," Korra told the brown haired bartender. "Rough day?" "You could say that."

"Tell me about it." Korra sighed. She took a sip of her drink. "Well I have a friend and she's suicidal and she thinks she deserves to die because she hurt some people and I'm trying to get her to see that she doesn't but she just won't forgive herself and it kills me to see her like that. I'm doing all I can to encourage her but I don't think anything I say will matter."

"Damn. That's tough. What about the people she hurt? Maybe if they talk to her she might feel better," the bartender suggested.

"No. That-" Korra chugged the remainder of her drink, coughing a bit at the burning sensation. "Actually that's a brilliant idea." Korra put some money on the counter for the drink before leaving with a shout of thanks.

When Korra went home Asami was just getting ready for a shower. "Mind if I join you?" Korra asked as she bit her lip.

"I would love that."

Korra quickly disrobed and joined Asami in the huge bathtub. Asami slid in first then Korra after, with her back against Asami's front. "Mmmm. This is nice," Asami said. "It is," Korra added.

After a few minutes of soaking in the tub, Korra and Asami washed off and settled in bed, naked together.

Asami let out a blissful sound after her third orgasm of the night. "That was amazing," Asami said as Korra came up from under the sheets.

Korra gave her a peck on the lips and settled in between her arms. Asami began stroking Korra's hair while Korra's mind drifted back to her heart to heart with Kuvira. Then she thought about what the bartender said.

"What's going on?" Asami asked. "What?" Korra asked. "I said you seem distracted. You have been all night. I can tell."

Korra sighed and sat up in bed. "Okay. I have an idea but I don't want you to get mad at me."

"Okay. I don't like where this is going," Asami said, worriedly. "So after I went to see Kuvira today, I realized why she's having such a hard time forgiving herself."

"Okay?" Asami said, not sure what Korra was getting at. "Well I figured if I could convince some of the people she wronged to talk to her and open up to forgiving her, then maybe she'd forgive herself and stop wanting to die. With that being said how would you feel about maybe talking to her and letting her know you forgive her."

"What?!" Asami yelled. "I don't forgive her! I will never forgive her. She took away my last piece of family from me. I will never get that back! She hurt me! I thought you understood that," Asami said as tears began streaming down her face.

"I do understand," Korra spoke, reaching out to touch Asami. Asami got up from the bed, avoiding Korra's touch as she stomped to her closet.

"No you don't! If you did you wouldn't have asked me to say I forgive the person who murdered my father," Asami said as she tied the string of her navy blue silk robe.

"Where are you going?" Korra asked, slipping her underwear and T-shirt on. "To sleep in the guest room. At least no one will betray me there," Asami said sadly.

"Ugh!" Korra groaned loudly as she plopped back on the bed.

The next morning Asami left out without a word to Korra. Korra felt bad for making Asami cry but she decided to give her some space.

Korra got ready and headed on a train to Zaofu.

The ride there was quiet. Korra sat staring at the Earth Kindgom. It really was a beautiful sight. Her stomach was filled with butterflies at the prospect of trying to convince Suyin and Baatar to see Kuvira but Kuvira was slowly becoming her friend, someone she cared about so she had to try.

It was just after 2pm when Korra finally got to Zaofu. She stretched as she had been sitting the whole ride there.

She was greeted by the guards as she walked through the metal city.

The door opened to the training room and there was Su, clad in a black tank top with gray tights. She was instructing her dancers. They were working on a new routine.

Seeing the other metal benders brought her back to the first time she laid eyes on Kuvira. Long hair braided down her back. She looked so limber and flexible, swinging on those metal cables.

Korra smiled.

She leaned against the wall as she watched the rest of the dance.

"Korra! What a pleasant surprise! Girls say hi to Avatar Korra," Su said as she noticed Korra watching the rehearsal.

"Hi Avatar Korra," the dancers said. "Hey guys. The dance looked great."

"Thanks. Will you be watching us perform next month?" A short haired blonde asked. "Uh we'll see," Korra said.

As the dancers walked off Su walked up to Korra. "So not that I'm not happy to see you but why are you here?"

"I take it you heard about Kuvira's suicide attempt two weeks ago." Su sighed as she and Korra walked into the kitchen. "I did."

"Why haven't you visited her?" "Look Korra. My relationship with Kuvira is complicated. As much as I feel terrible that she tried to end her own life, I'm not ready to see her. She really hurt me. She destroyed our relationship and I don't know if we can ever come back from that."

"Everyone makes mistakes and everyone deserves a second chance. Don't you agree?"

"Everyone doesn't take towns and its residents hostage and try to kill their fiance."

"Technically Baatar helped Kuvira with everything except the last part and you forgave him."

"That's different. Baatar's-" "Your son? Didn't you say Kuvira was like a daughter to you? If you could forgive Baatar, why can't you try to forgive her? I know it's hard but it would really make a difference. I try to visit her everyday but I know it's not the same. She already knows I forgive her. She needs to hear it from the people she truly hurt. The people she loves, who love her."

Su sighed as she stared at her water bottle. "I don't know Korra. I don't know if seeing her would be a good idea. At least not right now. Why should I see her and tell her I forgive her when I don't? I'm not lying to her so she won't try to kill herself. If her finally seeing the error of her ways means her trying to end her own life well so be it. She deserves to be punished and I am not going to excuse her behaviour to make her feel better."

Korra gasped. How could Su be so heartless to someone she once claimed to love. "How can you say that? You don't care at all what happens to her? I thought you loved her."

"I did and now I don't. I don't want her to die but if dying is what she thinks she deserves well there's nothing you or I can do about it."

"I can't believe you would rather Kuvira die than talk to her. I hope when she's dying in her own blood on the floor of her cell you know you could have stopped it but did nothing and I hope you can still live with yourself."

With that, Korra walked away, leaving Su to contemplate her decision.

Korra wandered upstairs, where she spotted Baatar Jr's bedroom. Releasing a deep breath, she knocked on the metal door which belonged to Kuvira's ex.

After a bit of shuffling, the door opened, revealing Baatar.

"Avatar Korra. To what do I owe the pleasure?" "Hi Baatar. It's good to see you, outside of a war."

Baatar chuckled a bit. "So um I assume you know about Kuvira's recent suicide attempt." A flash of hurt flashed across Baatar's face before it was gone.

"Yes. I do. It was in the papers. What's your point?" "I was hoping you would want to talk to her."

"Why would I want to do that?"

"Because! I've never seen her like this Baatar. She's given up on life. She lost her will to live and I don't know what else to do. Please I'm desparate."

"I'm sorry Korra but I don't think speaking to Kuvira would be a good idea. Besides, I'm under house arrest remember?"

"I'm sure if you talk to your mother you can convince her to let them make an exception and let you out so you can talk to her."

"Have you met my mother?" "I know but please. You're the only person I can think of that can help her. Please just consider it. I wouldn't have asked if she didn't really need it. Please Baatar."

With that, Korra left Baatar to his thoughts.
