I finally present the first chapter of the story. So after the first chapter, I found out that the name is "Net Savers" not "Net Saviors". To be fair I haven't played the games and I haven't seen the anime for a few years at this point. All well I'm gonna roll with it. If you couldn't tell, I intend the Net Savior thing to be more of a government secret operation to fight crime. I never liked the idea of kids just running around fighting crime with the term "Net Saver" being slapped on it. So there's that. This chapter may be a bit boring and fluffy, but the end sorta sets up what will happen in the first part of the story. Read and find out!

Chapter 1:

"LAN! LAAAANN!" Megaman screamed, "WAKE UPPPPPP!" Lan responded by shifting in his bed slightly

Megaman grunted in annoyance. As a last resort, he cranked the PC volume to max, "LAN!"

"AAAAA!" Lan yelled as he launched five feet off his bed and crashed onto the floor. He pulled himself up and glared at the PC, "What the hell was that for!"

"It's 7:45! You're gonna be late!"

"Wha-! This is why I hate late night missions!" Lan exclaimed.

Lan threw on a pair of black shorts with white stripes on the sides. Then he practically dove into the closet. He emerged thirty seconds later wearing a black long sleeve shirt and his orange vest on top. A slight change in attire from when he was younger. He grabbed his blue headband and slipped it over his hair and onto his forehead. Megaman transferred to the PET and Lan scooped it up and his beg and ran down the stairs.

"Good Morning class. I hope everyone had a good afternoon yesterday! Today we're going to-" *BANG*l

Ms. Mari's eyes shot to the door and let out a sign, laughter began throughout the class. She walked to the door and pushed the button to open it. Lan came stumbling in and almost ran into the teacher who had anger strewn all over her face.

"Lan, you are in tenth grade! I would've expected you to grow out of being late this frequently! If you keep being late I'll be forced to start giving detentions. Now take your seat."

Lan quickly nodded and scampered to his seat. He sat beside Maylu with Dex and Yai in front of him.

Dex turned around and it was obvious to see that he just finished laughing, and he noticed his nose.

"Geez Lan, If you were on time you wouldn't have to keep fighting the door! It looks like you broke your nose!" Dex exclaimed with a laugh.

Lan remembered his nose, "Haha real funny."

Meanwhile, Maylu eyed him and wondered, 'there's no way a bruise could be that bad in only a few minutes…'

Before she could question him, Yai spoke up, startling the three, "OH! I figured out what we're going to do tonight!"

Lan's face brightened, "Really? What are we doing?" he questioned.

"I'll tell you at lunch!" She said and turned around to face Ms. Mari.

"Yai, why do you always say stuff like that and not tell us?" Maylu whined.

"Hey! You three! Pay attention!" Lan, Maylu, and Dex's heads shot forward and they began to pay attention.

Megaman touched down in the classroom's cyberspace a little ways away from the rest of the Navis. He glanced around and saw that none of his friends logged on yet. He waited until another beam touched the ground next to him.

"The pink Navi that showed up latched onto his arm, "Hi Mega!"

Megaman turned his head to meet Roll's eyes "Hey Roll, how are you?"

"Great with you here." Roll replied, causing Megaman to blush.

"I..uh…" Megaman began saying. Roll smiled and released his arm. She stepped back and something caught her eye, Megaman's shattered shoulder covering.

"Mega, how did that happen?" Roll question with a slight frown.

Megaman snapped out of it and looked at his shoulder. He must have been too tired earlier and forgot to repair it. He mentally cursed himself for forgetting. Now he had to think of something to say quickly.

"Oh that was… from a netbattle last night, my opponent managed to hit me in the shoulder." 'not completely a lie.'

Roll had noticed that he had been showing up a lot more frequently from his "netbattles". There had to be more he's not letting on.

"Well…" Roll raised her hand to his shoulder, "Let me at least fix it."

Megaman knew she was going to heal it. So he reached over with his left arm and grabbed her wrist, causing her to blush slightly at the contact.

"No, don't waste your energy." He let go of her wrist and half covered his shoulder, "It's only cosmetic, I'll have it fixed when I return to my PET."

"Mega…"

Before she could continue, two more flashes of lights touched down across from them, revealing Glide and Gutsman.

"Hey guys!" Megaman exclaimed.

"Greetings everyone."

"Hello, Guts!"

"Glide, what was Yai's idea for tonight? She wouldn't say." Roll asked.

"I never understand why Miss Yai does that. Her plan was to have a pool party with everyone. She recently had an indoor pool added onto the mansion. Including a cyber version.

Megaman's face lit up "Wow! I've always wanted to try swimming. It looks like a lot of fun.

'Gutsman bets he can make a bigger cannon ball splash than you Megaman!"

Megaman looked at Gutsman with a dumbfounded look, "Of course you can! You're way bigger than me!"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean!"

While the two friends/rivals went off at each other. Roll had a unsure look on her face. She agreed with Megaman, she wanted to try swimming. But what would everyone think of her, particularly Megaman of course, wearing something that showed so much…skin?

"Miss Roll? Is everything ok?" The butler Navi asked.

"Yeah… I guess I'm a little nervous to try something like that." Roll said with a embarrassed look

"Don't worry about it too much," Glide looked over to Megaman and Gutsman, who were still arguing, "I am sure everyone will be a little nervous, It is a first for all of us."

The four friends sat down at their usual table in the lunchroom. Lan and Maylu sat on one side and Dex and Yai sat on the other.

"So Yai, Will you tell us your idea for tonight?" Maylu asked with Lan devouring his lunch beside her.

"Well…" Yai clasped her hands together and smiled as if it were some huge important announcement, "I just had an indoor pool added onto my mansion..."

"And?" Dex questioned

"WE'RE GONNA HAVE A POOL PARTY!" Yai suddenly shouted, causing the rest to jump a few feet in the air.

Lan gathered himself and set his silverware down on his tray, "A pool party? I haven't been to one of those in ages!"

Dex pointed at Lan, "I bet Gutsman could beat Megaman in a netbattle!"

"Dex, you say that everytime we go to Yai's, and I beat you every time!" Shot back.

"We've been practicing!"

"You also always say that."

"Bet you I will"

"I HIGHLY doubt you ever will."

"Yaiiiii… It'll be so embarrassing swimming with the guys!" Maylu whined.

"Why? Are you going to show off for Lan or something?" Yai teased with a smirk.

Maylu's face instantly turned red. "No!... I…I-"

Yai bursted out laughing, "I'm just teasing you!" It's something different and we're going to have a good time! Quit worrying about it."

…

"Hey Megaman, what time is it?" Lan asked from his bed, he was reading a battle chip magazine.

"It's 5:30, I'd start getting ready, we're supposed to be there at 6."

Lan looked to his PC where Megaman was present, "Yeah I better-woah…"

Lan saw Megaman, who had his helmet off. His long black bangs rose upwards then pointed back down into a middle part and went back along his ears, or at least where they would be. The emblems over his ears remained with his helmet off (Just look up Hub Hikari).

"What's up?" Megaman asked, a little puzzled.

Lan walked over to the PC and gave a weak grin, "I haven't seen you with that hairstyle since we were little, before… well… you know."

"Yeah… That's why I wanted to try it again, does it look ok? Megaman asked his brother, messing with one of his bangs.

"You rock it just as good as before." Lan reassured.

"Thanks, you should be gettin ready, you know."

"Oh right!"

Lan began looking for his swim shorts. He found them and slipped them on and put on baggy gray sweatpants over them. Fall was coming up so it was starting to get chilly. He then took off his shirt, Megaman saw and thought of something.

"What are you gonna do about the scars?"

Lan heard and looked over his body. He was fairly covered in scars from using Full Synchro in the past. Ranging from small ones to rather large ones.

"I thought about that. I'll probably wear a wife beater, it'll cover most of it at least."

Megaman raised an eyebrow, "That name isn't very appropriate."

"That's what they're known for, believe it or not." Lan said as he put the said tank top on.

"That's pretty stereotypical."

"Yes it is."

Lan then put on a blue shirt with their emblem stitched in the center of the chest and put on an orange hoodie over that.

Lan went back to his drawer to find a towel, "You know Megaman, I think it's awesome that so much technology has come out that allows Navis to do things like this. It makes you feel more… human rather than a tool." he looked to his PC waiting for a response.

"Well… I am excited to go swimming again. I haven't been able to since before… well… you know."

"Yeah- wait, Megaman what time is it!?"

"5:55."

"Aw Hell! I'm late!" cried as he scrambled for his PET.

Seeing this, Megaman put his helmet on and transferred to the device now on Lan's side. He stumbled out of his bedroom and Ran down the stairs.

"Well Lan's late." Maylu said nonchalantly. She was standing near the door and she was wearing a white swimsuit covering. Since it was getting colder, she also wore pink leggings. There was a purple sweater hanging on the coat rack on the other side of the door from where she stood.

"Not surprising!" Yai pouted jokingly. She simply wore an empire dress that was in her usual red color.

Suddenly there was a loud rap that came from the huge double doors. Everyone's eyes shot to the doors.

"That must be him. Shesh! Ten minutes late!" Yai exclaimed as she strode to the door.

Yai turned the doorknobs and pulled the doors open. Before she could scold him for his punctuality. She was met with Lan stumbling through the door and colliding into her. Causing both of them to crash to the floor.

"YAIIMSOSORRYFORBEINGLATE!" Lan pleaded still on the floor.

Dex stepped in and picked Lan off of the 13 year old (idk her actual age just gave her one).

"Geez calm down bud!" dex chuckled and he put Lan on his feet.

"Are you trying to kill me? You were only Late!" Yai complained.

Maylu giggled at Lan's antics and stood up and helped Yai up.

"Quite the entrance Lan." Maylu said jokingly

"Haha funny." he retorted.

"Enough messing around! Let's go!" Yai announced as she began walking down one of many halls in the mansion. The others followed behind her.

Roll was the first to touch down in the new pool program. She had a white towel covering her swimsuit. She looked around and saw that no one else was there yet. She then looked towards a pool where they would get to experience swimming in and walked to the edge of the water. The perimeter of the water was lined with cinder blocks embedded into the cyber ground. The area of the pool closest to roll was the shallow section, it looked no more than three feet deep. The farther the pool went on, the deeper it got. It went from three feet, to 5, then the end which was 12 feet deep. Complete with a diving board even. The sound of another Navi logging came from behind her.

"Hey Roll!" Megaman greeted.

Roll was in the process of turning around to hug him for her usual greeting but stopped dead when she saw him. Her eyes were immediately drawn to his hair. She had seen him plenty of times without his helmet. In fact, Most custom Navis had hair now because the software that allowed it became more and more available over the years. But Roll only ever knew his messy, spiky hair and she always found it cute. Now Megaman was rocking a new hairstyle, particularly a part, which was hard to pull off and look good with. To Roll, looking good was an understatement. Her face was now a very dark shade of red.

Megaman gave her a very puzzled look. Then one of realization, "Oh Roll! Do you like my hairstyle?" he asked.

"Y-Yeah, I do!" Roll stuttered, "Why the sudden change?"

"I dunno, I thought I'd try something new." It wasn't exactly new.

Roll's eyes then wandered to his body, he was in a pair of blue swim trunks. Her face felt like it was going to melt. Megaman had an athletic build. His abs and pecs were well defined as well as muscular arms all-round. She noticed him giving her an even more puzzled look. So she thought quickly and hurried to a nearby chair with the idea to let her cheeks cool down and take off her towel. Megaman smirked behind her back and went to the edge of the pool to test the water temperature with his feet (as one does). 'I wonder… what he'll think?' Roll thought and took off her towel. She turned around and saw her crush still messing with the water, so she walked back towards him. Megaman heard footsteps and saw Roll… In a 2-piece purple swimsuit. While it wasn't the most revealing swimsuit she could wear, It was the most the Blue Bomber had ever seen, that was for sure. She was very fit with strong legs and a faint six pack showing as well as some fairly muscular arms. While she wasn't necessarily "packing" by any means. Megaman still found her… beautiful. Her long blonde hair was the cherry on top.

'Nononono now's not the time to be thinking about this-' "Wow Roll, you look great." he said without thinking. He blushed and shut himself up.

Roll once again began to blush, "Y-You do?" she stuttered.

"Yeah… Of course…" That was more than Megaman was willing to say, he needed a way out from this situation.

Luckily his prayer was answered when Gutsman joined, followed by Glide. Megaman and roll regained themselves and greeted their longtime friends. Glide wore black swim trunks and he was very lean with some muscle. The only difference with Gutsman was that he wore red swim trunks, nothing else was different, it was quite a funny sight. After a bit of conversing, Megaman noticed that he and Roll were still near the edge of the pool. He got an idea, and decided to act upon it. He glanced at the blondie, she was talking to Glide at the moment, unsuspecting. Megaman quickly brought his hand to her upper chest and pushed back.

"Mega?-WAAA!" Roll screamed as she fell into the chilly water. The cool water shocked her at first and she struggled to get her footing. After a few seconds, her feet found the floor and she shot up her upper half out of the water and pushed the hair out of her face.

"MEGA!" she screamed angrily.

Megaman and gutsman however, were laughing their asses off. They had their hands on their sides trying not to fall over. Glide was trying and failing to suppress his laughter. Roll found it hard to stay mad and smiled. Which then turned into a devilish grin. She materialized her helmet on her head and used one of her whips to wrap around Megaman's arm.

"HahahaAAAA!"

Megaman landed on the water shoulder first and Roll's helmet and whip disappeared. Now it was Roll who was laughing. After a few seconds, Megaman didn't come back up. Her laughter slowly died and she began to look around through the water with a hint of concern. Suddenly she felt two hands grab her ankles and pull her legs forward. With a yelp, she was submerged under the water again. Now Megaman surfaced laughing childishly followed by Roll who was also laughing.

Megaman pulled the bangs out of his face, "Come guys hop in!" he called.

Glide lowered himself in the water slowly, got used to it, then waded over to join the two.

"CANNONBALL!" Gutsman screamed and he jumped up over the water to perform said action.

The other three tried their best to get as far from the splash zone as possible, but failed. The mini tsunami he caused hit them at full force launching them twenty feet backwards and crash landing back into the water. Megaman grabbed Glide and Roll and swam back to where they could touch since they couldn't swim.

"A little warning next time Gutsman!" The three yelled in unison.

"Hehe sorry, Guts."

The pool in the mansion was exactly the same since the cyber version was modeled after the real one. The room was tall and the walls and ceiling were made of glass.

Maylu and Yai were already in the pool, "Where did the guys run off to?" Maylu asked.

"Knowing those dopes they probably got lost in the middle of their argument!" Yai stated.

The two girl's heads turned to the door when they heard running and angry yelling approaching. The door was propped open so they got to see Lan skid to a stop in front of the door coming from the left. Then to see Dex come only and bump into Lan at full speed sending him flying out of the picture. Dex jogged into the room triumphantly.

"Ha! I won!" Dex declared.

Lan stumbled through the doors behind Dex, "That was cheating!"

"The results don't lie!"

"Why you!-"

Lan jumped and latched onto his friend's back catching him off guard. With the help of that and Lan guiding Dex with his weight, made both of them fall into the pool. The two reemerged laughing at what just happened. The girls both raised eyebrows at them.

"Boys are so weird! Who goes from seemingly trying to kill each other to laughing it off in seconds!" Yai pointed out.

"What's wrong with that?" Lan and Dex asked in unison.

"You know what? Forget it." Maylu deadpanned and put a hand to her face.

The boys looked at each other confused and shrugged. By this point, Maylu couldn't help but notice Lan's arms. They were… very muscular, how has she never noticed before. She also couldn't help but feel disappointed that Lan was wearing a tank top. Though she could still see his 6 pack through the soaked shirt. She shook her head trying to clear her mind. When she refocused on Lan she noticed… scars? His arms were covered in them, small to large. She even noticed them under his tank top.

'How did he get so many scars?' she asked herself.

Lan noticed the look he was receiving. 'She definitely noticed.' He began to think of a way to evade the upcoming question.

"I call dibs on the diving board!" Dex announced.

'Perfect…' he thought, "Not if I get there first!"

Dex was already stepping out of the pool when Lan raced by him and out of the pool.

"Hey!"

Then the race commenced, which Lan won. Maylu knew he was hiding something, she needed to find out for herself. Everyone that night ended up having lots of fun. All the Navis learned to swim while their operators had fun playing games and doing tricks off the diving board. They all decided to call it a night at nine-thirty. The three said their goodbyes to Yai then the pair to Dex once he eventually split up to return to his home, leaving Lan and Maylu alone to walk home.

Seeing this as an appropriate time, "Care to tell me how you got all those scars?" She asked sternly.

Lan stiffened up. "Oh…uh… You know me being a clutz. Probably all the falling and running into doors I do!" He exclaimed, trying to play it off.

That got a quick giggle out of her, but immediately she returned to a serious tone.

"Some of those scars are too big to get just from falling! What is the real reason?"

"I'm telling you that's the reason." he tried reassuring. He noticed that they came up to their houses, "Well I'll see you tomorrow goodnight!" He told her and hurried off towards the far house.

"Lan, wait!" She tried to call but it was too late, he was already inside.

Maylu set out a sigh and entered her home and made her way to her room. She set her PET on her desk and Roll materialized inside the PC. '

The Navi heard their brief conversation, "What was that all about?"

"I think Lan is hiding something." Maylu answered.

"What makes you say that?" Roll asked intensively.

"Lan's body is covered in scars which he said all got from falling, which I can tell is a huge lie." Maylu informed.

"Hmmm, now that you say that, Megaman came to school with one of his shoulder guards blown apart that he said he forgot to repair, which isn't the first time either." Roll pondered.

"Well if Lan is up to something, so is Megaman." The red head concluded.

"I guess we'll have to find out what." Roll declared.

Somewhere in the city

"Soon, Megaman will pay for the pain he caused us, do you feel ready?" The voice of a young man asked his PET.

"Of course, with the power of full synchro… nothing can stop us." A Navi replied.

This story will have pretty slow updates because my high school comp class eats up most of my writing. With other things, this story is low on my priority list. But I will work on it as much as I can with the time I got.
