Time for the battle against Giovanni.

We returned to Pallet Town, and the first thing we did was head to Oak's Lab to give him the info we'd gathered. "This is very disturbing news..." Oak said grimly. "The extent of human greed is disheartening..."

"This will be enough to send Team Rocket's leader to prison, right?" Serena asked.

"Definitely. However, the problem lies in being able to capture him."

"Unfortunately, while we do have solid evidence against them, we have no idea of their whereabouts." Sabrina admits, before looking straight at me. "Unless, of course, Ash knows where they are."

"He does seem to know a lot about the world despite his age." Oak comments on my knowledge.

I could feel their expecting eyes on me, and I take a deep breath before dropping the location. "Viridian City. Their boss hides in plain sight as the city's Gym Leader."

Sabrina and Diantha both gasp, both knowing him for different reasons. "Giovanni Sakaki...!" Diantha says his name. "That man is actually the leader of Team Rocket!?"

"Which means their main base is the Viridian Gym." Sabrina realizes, unable to believe that a fellow Gym Leader is the boss of Kanto's criminal organization.

"Yep." I confirm both questions.

"To think that the League would allow this..." Oak grimaces. "I fear there may be corruption amongst us. I'll see if I can call Lance about this. Right now, you youngsters should focus on training."

I nod and head out to greet all my Moemon.

As you would expect, they were quite angry to hear about what happened to Cherry's daughters. Platinum also talked about wanting to send Giovanni to the deepest part of the Distortion World, which sounded tempting, but I told her it would be better for humans to deal out the punishment.

Everyone focused on training hard for the upcoming raid. Though I won't be able to bring everyone, they all still want to become as strong as possible.

The Kanto Starters were training with each other, going all-out to get the most out of their spar. It shouldn't be long until all three fully evolve.

Ryoko and Chica were trained by Cherry, being careful not to hurt them too much, with Solaris watching intently from the sidelines.

Not only that, but as a result, Ryoko also evolved into Dragonair and Chica evolved into Togetic.

Ryoko wore a blue and light blue leotard, and had long blue hair down to her waist, white wings growing out of the sides of her head and a long blue tail, and she had black eyes. She also wore a necklace of crystal blue orbs.

As for Chica, her clothes were pretty much the same, being a white shirt and shorts combo with red and blue triangles, and her eyes were still black, but her hair was now white and reached down to her shoulders, pointing up in spikes, and she had two little wings sticking out of her back.

Solaris, seeing her friends evolve and become stronger, seemed to have willed her own evolution. She...was now curled up into a ball and sleeping in a floating blue sphere that looked like a miniature galaxy in a yellow capsule. She was wearing a black leotard, though, so at least she wasn't naked. This evolution drew some worried looks from the others, but Platinum and Cherry assured us that she was alright, and this is just part of her evolution.

While we're also on the topic of evolution, Haley also evolved into a Hattrem. She wore a white shirt with long pink sleeves, and a pink skirt along with it. She wore a pink and white pointy hat that did nothing to hide her light blue hair, braided into two ridiculously long twin tails that actually reached the ground, and she had black eyes.

Anyway, with those three evolving, I have Laby show me their data.

Dragonair: The Dragon Moemon

A mystical Moemon that exudes a gentle aura. The crystalline orbs that make her necklace are said to give her the power to freely control the weather.

Now that Ryoko's evolved, we can up her training and start learning some stronger moves.

Togetic: The Happiness Moemon

Type: Fairy/Flying

A Moemon said to bring good fortune. They say that Togetic will appear before kindhearted, caring people and shower them in happiness.

Name: Chica

Ability: Serene Grace

Height: 4'10" (Average)

Weight: 91lbs (Average)

Cup Size: B (Average)

Moves: Growl, Pound, Extrasensory, Metronome, Fairy Wind

Chica is in the same boat as Ryoko, but her evolution was much more needed for her to really be battle capable.

Cosmoem: The Protostar Moemon

Type: Psychic

The king who ruled Alola in ancient times called her the "Cocoon of the Stars" and built an altar in worship. She absorbs starlight as she prepares for her final evolution.

Name: Solaris

Ability: Sturdy

Height: 4'

Weight: 999.9lbs

Cup Size: AA

Moves: Splash, Teleport, Cosmic Power

Going back to Alola to evolve Solaris will be the first thing I do after I defeat Giovanni. I think I'll also take Lyra so I can evolve her as well.

Everyone else was training in their own groups, when suddenly someone lands with an impact that causes a gust of wind that we had to brace ourselves for. It sounded like it came from behind me, and I had just enough time to turn and see Lance zoom pass me towards Noire and Tina, fawning over them as the two began to feel uncomfortable.

I just stare, unsure what to take of the scene other than the obvious as his Dragonite walks up to me with a sigh. "Sorry about that." She apologizes. "He heard from Oak how you caught a Zekrom and Lady Giratina and wanted me to fly here as fast as I could."

"I mean, I knew that he was a fan of Dragon Moemon." I turn and say to her. "And I probably should've expected something like this."

The Dragonite giggles. "You're Ash Ketchum, correct? The trainer who won the tournament on the S.S. Anne?"

I nod. "I figured Lance was keeping track of me."

"Out of all the Trainers in the new generation, you're the most promising." She says. "You had our attention when we heard about what happened on the S.S. Anne, when you and Sabrina saved the ship from being sunk by a Kyogre." She suddenly hugs me into her chest before I could even respond. "Thank you. It would've been heartbreaking if I learned that my daughter was lost to the ocean."

Yep, that confirms that she is Ryoko's mother.

"If I may ask, why did you and Lance put her up as a prize in the first place?"

She frowns a bit. "I wanted my daughter to grow strong enough to challenge me, so when Silph Co. told me and Lance that they finished constructing the S.S. Anne, we decided to allow them to hold a tournament, in which the Trainer who wins will be the one to train our child. Of course, the last thing either of us expected was for a Kyogre to threaten the ship." She hugs me tighter. "Had you not been there, I would've lost my at the time unborn daughter to a foolish mistake."

"Well, you're welcome, Miss..."

"Ryuko." She tells me her name.

At that moment, Lance walks up to me, with Ryoko by his side. "So, you're Ash Ketchum." He greets me as I part from the hug to face him. "I'm sure Ryuko's already told you the details. Thank you for looking after our daughter."

"It is an honor, Lance." I reply as Ryoko walks up to her mother.

"You're...my mom?" She asks slowly.

Ryuko gives a motherly smile. "Yes, I am." She says softly. "I'm happy to finally meet you. What's your name, child?"

"Ryoko." Ryoko introduces herself.

"Ryoko, a name that sounds similar to my own." The mother giggles at the prospect. "I can tell that you're already very strong, despite not reaching your final stage." She glances at the Legendaries and Mythicals. "Though, given your partners, I suppose your growth is understandable. I'm eager to see how strong you'll become." Ryoko gives a fiery look in response to the challenge. Guess that's Dragon Moemon for ya.

Once the family reunion was over, Lance looked over the data we got from the mansion. "To think that Giovanni would go this low..." He growls. Ryuko, in comparison, looks ready to tear someone to pieces. I suppose as a fellow mother, she understands Cherry's pain. "And he was hiding right under our noses all this time... We're gonna need new Gym Leaders after this year's Indigo League." He stands up straight from Oak's desk. "I'll organize the G-Men to raid the Viridian Gym. Today shall be the day the world is finally rid of Team Rocket." He turns to me and my companions. "Ash, since your starter is the most affected by this, I give you permission to join us."

I nod. "Very well, but I would also like my companions to join. You already know that Sabrina is a Psychic, and that Diantha's the soon-to-be Kalos Champion, but Serena is also a powerful Psychic herself."

"She's the descendant of Celeste, the most powerful Spaceless Psychic in history." Sabrina also backed up Serena, though the Spaceless Psychic earned up attention.

"Interesting." Lance hummed. "Very well. I accept your request. We'll attack at dusk."

With the team built, it was time to settle this.

The time of reckoning has come.

My group and I had gathered outside the Viridian City Gym, ready to bust in and battle Team Rocket with Lance and the G-Men. I had my dozen Moemon picked out, my team consisting of Cherry, Rio, Enyo, Laby, the Kanto Starter Trio, Valerie, Ryoko, Crystal, Platinum and Noire.

"Is everyone ready?" Lance asked.

"Yes sir!" The G-Men saluted.

"We're all set." I report.

With a nod, he walked up to the doors and calmly opened them.

"Ryuko, Hyper Beam!"

And by calmly, I mean he had Ryuko blast the doors to oblivion.

That was the cue for all of us to rush in. I ran in first, my Aura making me faster than the others. Rockets ran in to stand in the way, but I powered through with Aura-infused punches and kicks. From behind me, psychic blasts shot forth and knocked out some more grunts, telling me that Sabrina and Serena have caught up. With their help, we pushed through the Rockets and reached the arena where Giovanni was supposed to be.

"Ah, the guests have arrived." The boss said as he stood on the other side of the arena. However, I use my Aura Sight to check if it's really him, because if I recall, there'san Executive who specializes in disguises.

...

Yep, as I thought.

Lance walks up with Ryuko. "It's over, Giovanni. Team Rocket's terror ends today." He declares.

'Giovanni' smirks. "Quite the help you've gathered, Lance. I never thought you would bring children into this. However, it is too late to stop me!"

"Cut the act, Petrel." I speak up. The others were confused, but 'Giovanni' looked shocked. "I'm an Aura Guardian, so I can see through that disguise of yours."

'Giovanni' was silent for a moment, before he chuckles. "How interesting." He says, before taking off his disguise. "And here I was hoping to be all 'You thought you beat Giovanni, but it was me, Petrel!'"

...Is that a Jojo reference?

"Petrel, Executive of Team Rocket." Lance says with narrowed eyes. "Where is Giovanni?"

"Giovanni is out on important business." A female voice says as a smirking redhead in a white Rocket uniform enters behind us. Rocket Executive Ariana. "And we're making sure you won't interfere." She tosses five Moe Balls, sending out five Moemon. The first one was a Vileplume, and the second one wore a long purple dress with markings on the chest and had gold eyes and long purple hair down her back. That's an Arbok, and I remember her using both in the games. However, the other three were new.

The first Moemon wore a long red dress and had blonde hair down her back and black eyes. A Jynx.

The second Moemon wore a scaly blue leotard which revealed her cleavage and had long, flowing blonde hair with red highlights down her back and bright blue eyes which matched her tights. A Milotic.

The final Moemon wore a white and blue dress with a large tail curled up behind her, as well as blue hair with violet tips sticking up into the air and red eyes. A Purugly.

Didn't she have those in the Sacred Gold and Storm Silver ROM hacks?

I also see Petrel send out five Moemon himself. One of them wore a violet dress and had violet hair down to her shoulders tied back into two violet buns and violet eyes. That's a Weezing, because why would he not have one? What's surprising is that his other Moemon weren't also Koffing or Weezing.

One wore a black jacket with a white collar and had two large black wings sticking out of her back. She also wore a black dress and a large, brimmed hat that a mafia boss would wear, and she had red eyes and long black hair with red tips down to her shoulders. That's a Honchkrow, and I suppose he does have a Murkrow.

Next was a Moemon that wore a blue shirt and skirt combo and had wild, messy blue hair down her back and red eyes. A Tangrowth.

The next Moemon wore a blue shirt with a red front and blue pants, with a white belt and long black gloves that had blades sticking out of the top and had blue hair down to her shoulders and golden eyes. A Toxicroak.

The final Moemon wore a violet dress and had violet hair with white tips falling over one of her eyes and down to her neck. A Skuntank.

Much like Ariana, his last three Moemon I remember him having in the ROM hacks.

Grunts also started coming into the room, but the girls opted to take care of them, leaving me and Lance to fight the two Executives. "Korono, Toxic!" Petrel commands his Weezing, but I quickly send out Rio to block the toxic sludge for Ryuko. At the same time, I send out Enyo to face Ariana's Moemon.

"Rio, Aura Sphere! Enyo, Focus Energy into Night Slash!" I say my commands as I Mega Evolve Enyo. Rio fires azure spheres of Aura at Petrel's Moemon while Enyo pumps herself up and charges at Ariana's Jynx and hits her with a powerful slash of darkness. Thanks to Focus Energy, the attack was a critical hit and the Jynx was taken down in one hit.

"Cheeky brat!" Ariana scowls as she returns her Jynx. "Vile, Dazzling Gleam!" The Vileplume releases a rainbow burst of energy, but Enyo jumps back and uses Flamethrower to make it explode.

I glance back at Rio to see how she's doing with Petrel. Three of his Moemon have already been brought down, with only his Honchkrow and Skuntank remaining. Considering Rio's being partnered with Ryuko, that's not surprising.

"Damn it! Skull, Explosion!" Petrel tries to make his Skuntank explode, but Rio uses Extreme Speed plus Earthquake to knock her out before she could as Ryuko brings down the Honchkrow with Thunder.

"Nice work, Rio!" I praise. She gives me a thumbs up in response as Ryuko uses Thunder Wave to ensure Petrel doesn't escape. I turn back to Rio, and in the time I looked away she had managed to take out Vile as well the Purugly, leaving Ariana with only her Arbok and Milotic.

"How are you this powerful!?" Ariana demands. "You're just a child!"

"Just because I'm a child doesn't mean I can't be powerful." I say.

Ariana scowls. "Kai, wipe that smirk off his face!" Well, if you're gonna get me involved, I'll get involved. Before Kai (the Arbok) could lunge at me, I use my Aura blitz in front of her and punch her in the stomach hard enough to make her cough out spit, and then quickly follow up with a roundhouse kick to knock her out. Ariana and her Milotic were stunned by my sudden show of strength, and Enyo takes advantage of that to take out the Milotic with Thunder Horn.

"I just happen to be powerful in more than one sense." I add on to my previous statement. Ariana tries to run, but was stopped by Sabrina, who had finished dealing with the grunts with Serena and Diantha.

"Now, tell us where Giovanni is." Lance demands Petrel and Ariana, both tied up.

"Even if you've defeated us, we'll never tell where Giovanni is." Ariana says with a defiant smirk. Though we won the battle here, Giovanni has already left somewhere else.

...! Could he be...!?

"Lance, we need to head to Cerulean City." I say, getting his attention. "There's a cave at the cape that's rumored to have an extremely powerful Moemon living there. That's where one of the Mewtwo is, and I bet that's where Giovanni's going."

"How did you figure out that the boss was after Mewtwo!?" Petrel shouts in shock, confirming my suspicion.

"Be quiet, you idiot!" Ariana yells at him.

Lance nods. "Then let's hurry. My G-Men will wrap things up here."

"Cherry." I call her, and she immediately Teleports us to Cerulean City, just outside Cerulean Cave.

"In here. Let's go!" I say, leading the charge in. However, we didn't get far as there was already someone greeting us.

"So, you actually found us." Proton says, with grunts standing ready behind him. "Unfortunately, you're gonna have to turn around and leave."

"Sabrina, Serena, you two think you can take him?" I ask the psychics.

"Of course." Sabrina nods, sending out Kardia.

"Leave it to us!" Serena says as she sends out Mimi.

While they battled Proton and his grunts, I rush through the cave with Lance and Diantha. However, there was one more Executive waiting to stop us. "So, you're here, Lance." The Executive gives his greeting. It was Archer, the Executive that led the Operation to steal Cherry's daughters.

"It's him...!" I hear Cherry growl from within my mind. I understand your anger but save it for when we battle Giovanni.

"Unfortunately, Giovanni is in the middle of something important, which means you and your friends must be stopped here." On cue, more Grunts come out to surround us.

"Ash, you go on ahead." Lance tells me. "Leave this to me and Diantha. Giovanni is your battle." I nod and proceed to use my Aura to barrel through a few grunts and continue on to the deepest part of the cave.

But when I got there, I see Giovanni standing in front of Mewtwo, who was covered in armor. She wore a white leotard with a large enough hole for her purple tail to fit through, white elbow-length gloves and leggings, and had long white hair that flows down to her back. I couldn't see her eyes because of the helmet, but I'm pretty sure they're also purple.

"I never expected a child to come face me." The Rocket Boss says as he turns to face me. "But you're too late. Now that I have Mewtwo under my control, I am unstoppable!" I say nothing as I approach him without fear. "Oh? You approach me? Instead of running away, you come closer?" He amusingly asks.

Also, what's with the Jojo quotes today? Does Team Rocket watch that anime in their spare time?

"I admire your bravery, child. Tell me your name."

"Ash Ketchum." I introduce myself.

Giovanni's eyes widen at my name. "Ketchum... I see. You're my sister's son."

...What?

"I'm sorry?" I ask with confusion. Is Delia related to Giovanni in this world?

The mafia boss laughs with amusement. "So, she hasn't told you about me? Well, about me to enlighten you. Yes, Delia and I are siblings, which makes me your uncle."

"...You're shitting me."

"Not at all. In fact, Delia used to be part of Team Rocket, before your father came and she abandoned us." He reveals. "He stopped us fifteen years ago, and now you, his son and my nephew, come to stop once again." He smirks. "But this time will be different. With Mewtwo's power, I will win, and my sister will pay for her betrayal!"

"Well, hate to break it to you, uncle, but that won't happen." I say firmly. Today's information certainly surprised me, but I won't let it sway me away from my duty. "You and Team Rocket are a darkness that's threatened Kanto for too long, and I am the light that shall vanquish that darkness! Let's go, Cherry!" I send out my Starter Moemon.

"Oh? You actually caught Mew." Giovanni says. Though he didn't show it, I know he was surprised.

"That's right. And she just so happens to be the mother of the two Mew you kidnapped and used to make the Mewtwo." I reveal. "She's pissed at what you've done to her children, and so am I. That's why we're going to stop you and save Mewtwo!"

"Is she now? Well, she should feel honored. Her daughters were used to create the ultimate Moemon! And now, you shall witness it's power!" He declared. "Go, Mewtwo!"

"Cherry!"

My starter and the Mewtwo cover themselves in psychic power and charge at each other, their collision sending waves of psychic power throughout the cave.

"Shadow Ball!" Giovanni commands.

"Dark Pulse!" I give my own command. Cherry fires a Dark Pulse at the Shadow Ball, causing an explosion. "Shadow Claw!"

"Barrier!" Giovanni commands. Mewtwo forms a barrier to block the Shadow Claw, but then Chjerry's eyes flash orange and she slashes again, this time bypassing the Barrier and striking true. Laser Focus.

This is the advantage I have over Giovanni. He's using the armor to control Mewtwo's actions, so she won't act without his orders. Whereas Cherry and I trust each other that she can act without me giving much commands.

"Thunder!" Giovanni commands, and Mewtwo releases a powerful blast of electricity that forces Cherry to back off. "Now Laser Focus, then use Shadow Ball!" Mewtwo's eyes flash orange, and then she forms another Shadow Ball.

"Shadow Force!" I shout as Mewtwo fires the sphere, and Cherry disappears before it could hit her, making Giovanni grunt in annoyance as Cherry reappears behind her and hits her with Megahorn.

"Grab her!" Giovanni commands, and Mewtwo grabs Cherry before she could pull away. "Now Shadow Ball!" Mewtwo forms a Shadow Ball and slams it into Cherry's chest. dealing point-blank damage and sending her flying into a wall.

"Hang tough, Cherry!" I shout out to her, and she zooms out of the smoke. "Dark Pulse!"

"Aura Sphere!" Giovanni commands. Mewtwo fires an Aura Sphere at the Dark Pulse, causing another explosion, but Cherry quickly follows up with Bug Buzz, releasing insect noises from her mouth and sending green shockwaves that hit Mewtwo. "Psychic!" At Giovanni's command, Mewtwo uses her psychic power to dispel the attack. "This has gone on long enough. Finish this, Mewtwo! Use Psystrike!"

"Thunder Wave!" I command, and Cherry releases a weak wave of electricity that paralyzes Mewtwo. "I agree, Giovanni. It is time to end this." I reveal my Z-Power Ring. "Let's do this, Cherry!"

"Yeah!" Cherry replies as she flies down in front of me.

I cross my arms in front of me and activate the Mewnium Z, with Cherry mimicking my movements. "Bear witness to the power of origin, unleashed in the form of a Z-Move!" We chant together as we perform the Psychic Z-Move dance. With Cherry surrounded with Z-Power, she releases a bunch of psychic orbs and flies around them, the orbs swirling together like DNA as they combine into a huge psychic orb. "Genesis Supernova!" With us shouting together, Cherry launches the orb. Mewtwo breaks out of paralysis at that moment and fires the Psystrike, but the Z-Move overpowers it and hits her, causing an explosion so powerful that I'm pretty sure the psychic power could be felt throughout the whole cave and even the entirety of Cerulean City. It also sends Giovanni flying back and knocks him out.

However, our focus was on Mewtwo, whose armor broke to pieces as she fell to the ground on her right side, unconscious. "My child..." Cherry whispers softly as she kneels down to her.

"I felt a strong psychic power, and came to check up on you." I hear Lance come from behind me. "Looks like you won."

"I did." I nod to him. "You grab Giovanni. Cherry and I will join you momentarily." Lance nods and has Ryuko grab Giovanni and carry him out of the cave. The moment they left, I hear a moan as I look to see Mewtwo regain consciousness.

"What happened?" She asks, before looking up at Cherry.

"My child..." Cherry once again whispers, embracing Mewtwo with a smile that was both happy and sad at the same time. "I'm so glad you're okay."

The Genetic Moemon was surprised by the sudden embrace. "What are you saying, Mew? How can you be my mother? I am a clone of you."

"That's what Team Rocket made you believe." I speak, making myself known to her. "However, we know the truth of your origin."

The two of us tell Mewtwo about her birth and creation, and the Genetic Moemon listens with rapt attention. I also use Laby to show the needed evidence to support our claims. Once we were finished, she closes her eyes, unsure how to react. "So, I am not a cloned fossil, but an infant who was robbed of their life by human greed." I could feel the anger as she spoke.

"No amount of apology could make up for the horrible experience you've suffered." I say truthfully.

"Then save your apologies." She replies bluntly as she glares at me. "So, what of you? What is your purpose for telling me this?"

"Simply to let you know that even despite your mutation, you still have a right to live in this world as everyone else who was born in it." She stares at me in silence.

"Mewtwo." Cherry speaks up. "I failed you as a mother. That is without question. If I had known that humans were watching me before your birth, I would have fled someplace else for your safety." She clenches her fists in an attempt to keep herself from breaking into tears. "But even still," she looks at Mewtwo directly in the eyes, "I want you to know that I still love you! Regardless of what you've become, you're still the daughter I had birthed, and I still care for you!" She relaxes her body. "That's why, if you wish to be alone, my Trainer and I will leave and never return." Mewtwo looks surprised by Cherry's decision. "You're a big girl now. You have the power to live your life as you want to. If you want to be alone, then as your mother, I will respect your wish."

The cave was silent as no words were spoken for a whole minute, before Mewtwo looks at me. "Human, what is your name?" Mewtwo asks.

"Ash Ketchum." I introduce myself.

"Ash Ketchum, you are different from the humans that tried to control me, even the one who claims to have relations to you." I figured she heard that conversation. "You fought to free me from Giovanni, and admittedly, I am happy to finally learn my true origins." She gives a small smile. "If you truly wish to reunite me with my family, then I am willing to give humans another chance and serve you."

"You don't have to 'serve' me." I tell her. "To me, my Moemon are not servants, they are family, and we treat each other as equals."

Mewtwo chuckles. "I suppose that is why even the Gods join your ranks. Very well." Her eyes glow as she uses her psychic power to to pull out an empty Moe Ball - specifically, a Premier Ball, and taps her finger on it, capturing herself. Looks like our feeling did reach her.

Cherry picks up the Premier Ball and holds it to her chest. "Thank you." She says softly, her voice filled with gratitude. It's a no-brainer that she was happy that she got one of her daughters back. After a moment, she walks up to me, with a beautiful smile blessing her face. "Thank you, Ash. This was only possible because of you."

"I'm glad I could help." I smile back, before taking the Premier Ball and releasing Mewtwo. "Well, all that's left is to give you a name. Especially since we'll be looking for your twin sister."

"That is true." Mewtwo agrees. "What would you call me?"

"I think the name should be decided amongst the two of you." I suggest. The two Moemon look at each other, and after a moment, they look back at me.

"Meranda." Mewtwo says. "That's what I shall be called."

"Welcome to the family, Meranda." I formally greet my newest Moemon. "Now, I think it's time to return to the others." The mother-daughter duo nod, and we head back up together.
