Dear readers,

I've decided to remove the Loav & Sechz series from Fanfic. Before I go into the reasons why, I want to thank all of you for your continued support. Not just of Loav & Sechz, but of my writing in general. If it weren't for your feedback and encouragement, half of the stories on my account would not exist. Period.

I have eighteen stories on this account. Some will forever remain unfinished. But ten of them are still in progress. This brings me to the first reason I've decided to remove Loav & Sechz.

For those of you who write as well as read on this site, you know that the limit of docs you're allowed to have in doc manager is 200. The total number of chapters I've written so far is 310, and that's after condensing them. I've already had to delete some old docs under doc manager to make room for new ones. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to upload anything. But that means if I spot an error in an old chapter or want to build more on an idea for a chapter I've deleted, I can't make any revisions. For someone who is constantly reviewing their old work and seeking to improve it, this is frustrating as hell. Even if I were to delete completed chapters (which for aforementioned reasons, I don't want to do) that would only leave me with about 91 doc slots. After getting rid of the completed chapters, I'd still be left with the chapters of my in-progress stories. Which totals up to 95. I'm literally at the point where I cannot upload any more chapters. Of anything. I had to delete the first chapter of The Heart of An Angel just to make room for this letter.

I'm not ready to write off Fanfic completely. But in the case of Loav & Sechz, this site just isn't doing the story justice. If you've been keeping up with the series, this next reason for removing it is already known to you. Loav & Sechz is a collaborative work. I've been writing it with a colleague for the past few years now. She puts just as much of herself into this story and into her OC as I do. But because the story is on my account, she can't make any alterations or changes. She and I are in different time zones, so we aren't always able to work on it at the same time. If she were able to work on it when I can't, you guys would be getting updates much more quickly and a lot more frequently than you do now. Also, when it comes to continuity errors and timeline consistencies, she is much better at catching them than I am. It's vital for the story's quality that she's able to make revisions when necessary. Unfortunately, this platform just doesn't support that sort of function.

Another problem with this site is it doesn't allow you to include pictures. For the rest of my stories, this isn't really a concern. But we've made a lot of artwork for Loav & Sechz. It's disheartening to upload it to Wattpad & AO3 when we know our readers on Fanfic probably don't even know that the artwork exists. Not to mention that artwork can make a story more immersive. In other words, readers on Fanfic are robbed of the chance to experience Loav & Sechz the way Wattpad & AO3 readers do.

Lastly, I don't like uploading updates to three different platforms. I just don't. It's a lot to juggle and I can't guarantee that every version of the story is up to date. If it were a ten or even twenty-chapter story, it would be doable. But the second book of Loav & Sechz alone has 70 chapters. And those chapters are condensed. Loav & Sechz: Tis The Season To Be Horny is 665,508 words long. To put that into perspective, that's 78,262 words longer than the entire Twilight series. Yes, that means all four books. Tis the Season to be Horny isn't the entire Loav & Sechz series. It's just one book.

If 78,262 words doesn't seem like that much more, think about it like this. There are 99,750 words in the first Hunger Games book. 78,262 out of 99,750 is 78.458% of the length of the book. We'll round it to 78.5% to keep things simple. 78.5% of the way through that book lands you on page 294. At this point, Thresh is pronounced dead and there are four people left in the Arena. If this is a spoiler for you, I apologize. But also not really cuz the first book came out fifteen years ago so like…dude.

Please do not take this as my attempt to boast the impressive length of my…series. This is not me trying it flex. This is me saying, "editing is a bitch on its own without having to edit the same thing three times to keep three versions of the story consistent." I am a twenty-six-year-old A.D.D.-afflicted woman with two jobs, five cats, and eight different writing projects happening in my head simultaneously. Consistency isn't exactly my middle name.

That being said, I love writing. I love this series, I love my co-writer, and I love you guys. Please don't hesitate to message me or comment on this post with questions and concerns. Loav & Sechz will still be available to read on AO3 & Wattpad. The most up-to-date version of each book is on AO3, but I'm working on updating Wattpad's as well.

I will keep Loav & Sechz up on this site until the first of April. GamingTeddi/Sylvi and I are working hard to bring you guys updates as well as the start of a new sequel project. The first of many. I look forward to hearing from you all, and as always, don't forget to stay spicy ;)

Love,
