Hi, guys, it's me, LadyDaisys! Sorry it's taken me so long to update Blood Ties. Have had some issues with Fanfiction. But thankfully, I've been able to update another chapter. Whew! Enjoy.

Showdown-Chapter Twenty-Three

"I'm a velocity atrocity! I'm Vinnie!" The muscle-bound adrenaline-fueled mouse cried out as his red Sport bike cruised down the highway.

He got up and back flipped into mid-air. His bike flew under him catching him before he fell to the ground and became street pizza.
Riding and doing stunts on his sweet ride always put him in a good mood.

"Charley-girl doesn't know what she's missing." He thought, grinning.

Charley. From the first moment he met her, he could tell he met his match. She was the kind of woman who could hold her own in love as well as in battle. For the three years, he'd known her he constantly flirted with her and she always playfully blew him off.

"Like Harley." He mused.

Harley was the lady Martian mouse medic he met during the Plutarkian war on Mars. Harley had a lot of Charley's personality. Both women were young, sexy, beautiful, and brave. Shoulder length auburn hair, light colored eyes, and curvaceous figures that left most men in their tracks. They attracted a lot of attention wherever they went.

No wonder Vinnie was attracted to both women. Stoker liked Harley as well but she chose Vinnie as the one she wanted to be with. Things looked so promising for them till Mace took her. Her screams rang in his ears. Mace grabbed Harley and disappeared into thin air with her. The Martian Mice searched but they never found her. Never knew if she was even alive. Vinnie had many nightmares after that terrible day. He'd wake up reliving it like it happened yesterday. It bothered him that he wasn't fast enough.

"If I had only been there sooner, I could've saved her." He'd said.

"There's nothing you could have done, bro." Throttle had told him.

"Quit beating yourself up. It's not your fault." Modo said to him.

He knew they were right, but he couldn't shake the feeling that if he had been faster and had gotten the drop on Mace, he never would've taken Harley. To this day, she was still missing.

Many years passed since that day. He and his bros had been captured by the Fishfaces but they escaped and were on their way back to Mars. Unfortunately, they ran across a Plutarkian battle cruiser. They shot their ship down and they had to make an emergency landing on Earth. That was the day he and Charley met.

They saved her from Greasepit and found out Limburger was one of the Fishfaces that strip-mined Mars. And now he was on Earth planning to do the same thing. They didn't know anything about Earth's customs. Fortunately, Charley was right there to lend a helping hand and clue them in. She was always there for them. She was kind and good just like Harley had been. Vinnie began falling for her and he noticed she had felt the same way. They once tried to pursue it. They almost kissed that time Limburger sent Catscan to help him demolish the Last Chance Garage. But they caught themselves that time.

Tonight, was very different. They actually kissed! Actually, stepped outside the friend zone. It could've grown into something beautiful. He was willing to start a serious relationship. Then she accused him of trying to bed her down! That made him mad. She made him sound like a pervert. Sure, he's had lots of women after him.

"I'm a guy. What does she expect?" He reasoned to himself, "Can this mouse help it if he's Mars' gift to women?"

Then he realized that was why she was so reluctant to start a relationship with him. So, there was a grain of truth to what she said. Okay, more than a little grain. A whole sand dune. In the past, he has had a lot of girlfriends. He even has a little black dating book with a rating of every girl he's ever dated. He's dated lots of women in every galaxy of the cosmos. He had a bad reputation for being a ladies' man and a playboy. Unfortunately, his checkered past caught up to him one day.

Flashback...
Before he met Charley and before Mars was invaded by the Plutarkians, he was a young twenty-year old guy. One night, he went to an intergalactic bar. He came there with a date. The young woman excused herself and went to the restroom. She came back and threw her drink on him. Then she stormed out. He found out that someone had scrawled his name on the wall of the ladies' bathroom. They also wrote nasty things about him.
It read:

For a wild time beneath the sheets, call Vinnie Van Wham. You'll know what Wham, Bam, Thank you, Ma'am feels like!

They also wrote down his commlink number underneath it. The girl he came there with never spoke to him again. Martian Command found out and they had a fit. The higher ups threatened to have him court martialed till Throttle and Modo defended him along with Stoker.

"He's shaming Martian Command as well as our planet!" Commander Braddock said, "I'm kicking him out of Martian Command."

"You can't do that." Throttle said.

"He's one of us." Modo jumped in.

"Then maybe you'd both like to share his fate if you interfere." Braddock replied.

Modo's single eye glowed a bright red and he looked furious.

"Is that a threat?!" The large mouse countered.

"Easy, big guy." Throttle soothed, placing his hand on the shoulder of his angry friend.

"Cut him some slack, Commander. Vinnie's a young guy." Stoker had said, "Guys do stupid things sometimes."

"Dating and embarrassing my granddaughter is no laughing matter." The commander replied.

Modo, Vinnie, and Throttle stared at him with open mouths.

"Your granddaughter?" Vinnie asked.

"Oh, mama." Modo groaned.

"Bro, you've totally stepped into it big time." Throttle said.

"Oh, man, Oh man...I'm so in trouble." Vinnie groaned.

"He's very sorry. Give your granddaughter my deepest apologies on behalf of Martian Command. Don't throw him out." Stoker replied.

"Fine. You're forgiven. Just don't let it happen again or your a- is out, Got it?" Braddock told Vinnie.

"Loud and clear." Vinnie replied.

End Flashback...

No wonder Charley-girl said that stuff about him wanting to pick her up. He felt like crawling in a hole and burying himself. But he was determined to prove to her that he had changed. That he wasn't the same person.

Suddenly, he heard a woman scream. He followed the sound of the scream and was met with a horrible sight. There, lying on the ground was a woman with a blue denim shirt, auburn hair, black pants, and brown boots. She appeared to be struggling to get up. Greasepit stood over her.

"Charley-girl?" He asked.

The young woman slightly turned her head towards him. Her whole face was covered with hair.

"Help me!" She screamed, struggling to get up.

"Stay out of this, mousie! It ain't youse concern!" Greasepit told him.

"Yeah? Hey, Greasegutt, need a light?" Vinnie cried, out throwing one of his lit flares at the musclebound ape who flew threw the air.

Vinnie approached the fallen girl.

"Easy, Charley-girl, I got you." Vinnie said, reaching to pick her up.

"And I have you, my fine mouse." The girl said, spraying a misty spray into his face.

"What's going on? I can't move!" Vinnie said, unable to move his body.

"My emobilizing spray will keep you in place till I have my revenge." Ondine said.

The white mouse looked confused till the girl removed from her head what appeared to be a wig. She was a small human woman with spiky blonde hair. The woman now gave him a smirk. Lawrence Limburger now appeared next to the girl followed by Greasepit.

"Reek fish. I knew something about this whole thing stunk." Vinnie said.

"Excellent work, Ondine." He heard Limburger say, before he lost consciousness.

...

The white mouse now came to and found himself bound with chains to what looked like a giant mousetrap.

"No use trying to get free. The chains are made of Plutarkian steel."

Vinnie looked up to see Ondine approach him.

"You and your friends caused my brother's death. Now, I will avenge him by killing you." She took out a revolver and aimed it at the white mouse's temple, "Watching Charley in grief weeping bitter tears over your death will be the sweetest revenge I can give her."

Within seconds, the gun was shot out of her hand. She and Vinnie both looked up to see Charley extending a rifle.

"You're not killing him. Not on my watch!" Charley said.

Throttle aimed his laser pistols towards Ondine while Modo aimed his cybernetic arm. Hecuba had now snuck behind Ondine and extended her hand towards her. The moonstone Ondine had now flew out of her hand. She reached for it but it flew out of her reach.

"You! I might've known. Give that back, Hecuba."

"I'm taking back what's rightfully mine."

Hecuba now had the stone.

She waved the moonstone towards Vinnie causing the steel chains to break off of him. He could now move freely.

"Thanks, Sweetheart." Vinnie told Hecuba.

"Go, your lady needs you!" Hecuba called out.

Vinnie ran towards Throttle and Modo. He whistled and his bike came racing towards him.

"Goon Squad, annihilate those wretched rodents!" Limburger told his goon squad.

Within seconds, the Goon Squad came at the mice in dune buggies. Laser pistols were fired from the squad.

The Biker Mice rode towards the Goon Squad. Throttle activated his Nuke Knuckles and punched one goon after another. Modo fired his cybernetic arm laser taking out two dune buggies. Vinnie rode away from one goon only to run into another. His bike sailed into the air as he watched the two dune buggies crash into each other.

Lawrence Limburger now fled into the back seat of his limo. He shoved Ondine who had been standing next to his limo out of the way.

"Wait, where are you going? Stay and fight." Ondine told him.

"He who runs away. Lives to fight another day."

"And you call yourself a villain. What a joke!"

"Give up, Ondine. You're surrounded. There's nowhere for you to go." Hecuba told her.

Ondine saw she was surrounded by the Biker Mice, Charley, and Hecuba. She saw in front of her Lake Michigan.

"You're wrong. There's only one place to go." She now took a flying leap into the lake.

"No!" Charley cried out, "Is she...?"

"I don't think so. I don't think we've seen the last of her." She replied.

...

Back at the Last Chance Garage, Hecuba waved the moonstone over Carbine's body. Within minutes, the dark haired general was able to move.

"W-What happened to me?" Carbine asked.

"A long story. I'm just glad you're okay." Throttle replied, hugging her.

Vivica watched from the doorway of the living quarters with an annoyed look.

...

Charley was in the kitchen making coffee when Vinnie appeared in the doorway. He normally would start flirting but not this time. He was awkwardly looking down.

"Charley-girl, I..." He began.

"I'm sorry. I had no right to say what I said before. Can you ever forgive me?" Charley asked him, breaking the awkward moment.

He looked up at her to see a sad look on her face.

"Part of me was afraid. I'm so good at fixing cars and motorcycles. But when it comes to relationships with guys, I suck. I haven't had the best record of having boyfriends."

"It's understandable. Guess you thought I'm a lost cause. A gigolo like the rest."

"'You're not a gigolo, Vinnie. You're the kindest, sweetest guy I've ever known."

"Really?" Vinnie brightened up.

"It's true that I've dated a lot but there have been times when I wanted more than that. I want to find that special someone. Maybe...Maybe, that's why I'm the way I am." He said.

"You guys once told me about Harley."

"She was a lot like you, Sweetheart."

"You must have liked her a lot."

"A ton. You know, I actually thought she could be the one. Then Mace kidnapped her and I never saw her again." Vinnie said, with a downcast face.

"Don't give up hope. The right girl will come along." She said, placing her hand on his hand.

At that moment, their eyes met. An electric spark ignited between them.

"What if...she already has...?"

His face was inches from hers. She could feel his breath on her lips. Within minutes, he moved in and locked his lips with hers as his kiss took her breath away. It was as surreal and as sweet as it was before. Both of them felt complete bliss as his arms went around her waist. He felt her slender arms go around his shoulders. Her hands caressed his back and shoulders as he hungrily kissed her. She moaned delightedly as she silently wanted more.

"I love you, Charley-girl." He said, between kisses.

"I love you." She replied, and meant it.

Come what may, she was going to be with him, and he was going to be with her no matter what.
