A/N: I apologize for the way-too-long wait for an update. I have no excuse except facts, which are laziness/procrastination. I'll try not to take so long to update this story again.

Should I start just throwing notes in at the top here? Do you guys even read up here or just jump to the chapter itself?

"Expell him!" Kai entered Nezu's office without knocking, Nezu calmly pouring tea.

Nezu had just finished pouring his own cup as Kai burst in, and pointed to the cup he poured for Kai knowing the man would be here. Having heard of the incident involving Kai's student Neimo Monoma and Katsuki Bakugo of 1-A from All Might having called in advance to warn Nezu.

"Good morning Chisaki." The quirked animal gave a smile.

"I want that kid expelled from this school, Nezu." Kai wasn't hiding how pissed he was about the kid who almost killed one of his own students.

"I take it you mean Katsuki Bakugo?"

"He ignored warnings and recklessly and purposely attempted to kill one of my students!"

"I have heard of this incident but I ask that you wait one moment, Chisaki." Nezu held up his paw. "I understand that from what was said that he has shown a poor grasp of teamwork, controlling his emotions, and has gone too far in his efforts to win what was meant to be a friendly spar. And while that may be true, I understand your feelings here. I have made a decision that his teacher has already agreed to."

"What is the decision?" Kai stopped himself from saying anything else.

"Removal from the hero course, making Katsuki Bakugo be placed into the general education course, and be on a probation to determine if he will be allowed back into the hero course."

It took all of a second for Kai to show his thoughts on that. "THAT'S IT?! He almost kills Monoma and is just taken out of the hero course for a few weeks?!"

"Have some tea Chisaki." Nezu indicated to the cup of tea he poured for the man.

"That kid should be kicked out of this school!" The teacher shouted. "Attempted murder is not something that garners a reaction like taking a phone from a kid for bad grades!"

"Kai... I understand your thinking, and trust me when I say Bakugo is going to be under a microscope from this point forward. At the Sports Festival just four weeks from now he will attempt to show us he has learned a lesson from all this, and the decision following will determine if he will return to the Hero Course or completely be integrated into the general education course. If he however shows a negative outlook and so on from this event then further actions will be taken."

Kai wasn't pleased at all, his concern for his student making him think more was required. "This is just-"

"A chance for him to learn of his last wrongful actions and grow from them." Nezu stated. "I firmly believe, especially when looking at a shining example of this as I speak, that if given an opportunity that people can grow into exceptional individuals who have become way better than their pasts." The quirked animal sipped his tea before speaking again. "As well as I know you dislike this and want punishment I ask you to consider letting him try to grow away from this in a positive light Kai. I think you more than myself could understand the reasoning for at least allowing him to be given the opportunity to do so."

The masked man made an expression of hard thought, his emotions still saying that kid should be wacked over the head, hard. After a second he let out a sigh. "If he does something against my class, or any student, like that again he better be kicked out of here without hesitation."

"In that scenario I agree wholeheartedly."

"So how come you are here to get me and not Chisaki-sensei?" Yosetsu asked as followed All Might. "I mean I am super psyched it's you All Might-sensei but everyone else had him."

"Kai... Had an issue he felt like needed to be brought to Principal Nezu's attention." All Might answered. "So I am retrieving you kids from 1-C until he returns."

"So can I get a hint to who I am facing?"

"Sure."

"Really?" The teen got surprised

"No." All Might had a cheeky grin at his response.

Yosetsu gained a flat, unamused expression. "How about my teammate?"

"I suppose." He mulled over thinking of a hint before All Might regained his amused grin. "They are a U.A. student."

The fusion quirked teen gained an unamused expression. "That's... Hints aren't supposed to be that broad or obvious."

"There are no rules to hints."

At that Yosetsu's expression became flat. "Because of that there should be."

All Might's response was to just give a hearty chuckle as he led the student into the main building. "I assure you that you will be fine with your teammate." Plus as far as Toshinori was concerned, Bakugo was the worst kid here, with all the other kids not having problems with teamwork at all.

"Well that part is reassuring I suppose." The teen accepted it as they came to see Yosetsu's teammate without his own teacher there.

This kid was someone Yosetsu recognized as from 1-A, the guy having lightly tanned skin and black hair, reaching roughly down to his shoulders, which he wears in a low braid. His eyes and most of his upper face was hidden behind a visor. The rest of his hero costume consisted of white knee-high boots, a black bodysuit with yellow clouds across the torso and gets progressively baggier as it travels downward. He had a red belt tied around his waist with pouches on the side, a large collar across his chin, and he also had large yellow gauntlets.

"Sup." The fusion quirked teen said as he stuck his hand out. "I'm Yosetsu Awase, ready to do this."

"Hiryu Rin, ready as well." The guy seemed to be almost all business with his tone, which didn't bother Yosetsu at all.

Their heroics teacher looked around. "I take it Aizawa just gave you the location and went to handle another situation?"

Hiryu nodded. "He told me they'd know if I tried to sneak a peek at my opponents and I would take an immediate F. Didn't need to tell me of that though since I think this scenario is great."

"I will leave you kids to it then." All Might gave a thumbs up as he left the building.

After a second Yosetsu clapped his hands together. "Alright partner, so let's get to planning."

"Let's discuss quirks as we take this thing," At that point Hiryu pointed behind him with his thumb. "Upstairs, I was thinking the top floor."

"Yea that works." Yosetsu agreed as he followed Hiryu, who had grabbed the bomb himself to take upstairs. "I'll start. My quirk is called Weld and lets me fuse any given two things together if I hold them close, one in each hand. It's down to the molecular level types of fusion."

A hmm sound was made from his teammate while the guy thought over the quirk. "You getting defense is actually perfect then. They would have to come through you and you can get the drop on and fuse someone to a wall."

"Yee. I even have these for help restraining people." Yosetsu held up a metal log. "I figured with my speed, if I catch someone off guard I can quickly stick them to a wall or something with these."

"You should be outside of the main room we are guarding then. I am more suited for sticking with it. My quirk is called Scales." At that point he held out an arm that got coated in light green, hard looking scales that sprouted from his skin. Yosetsu honestly thought of a dragon at first with the scales. "I can makes these in two ways; this current way with them flat on my arm, which makes me have better defense, or I can make them sprout upside down with two options at that point, sharp edges so it hurts when you try to punch me, or with force and shoot them outwards."

"So you are definitely a guy who will smack a good number of opponents. So you guard the bomb and I will set myself up in a prime position to catch them off guard."

"Just stay close is the only thing I add to that." Hiryu accepted the plan. "For all we know they have quirks perfect for this situation."

"Yea, like if they were Chisaki."

"That guy in your class, the one who is the top student for our year?"

"Yea, that's my boi. Chisaki has the most stupidly broken quirk I probably ever heard of."

Hiryu dropped the bomb as they got to the top floor, still in a hallway, and looked at Yosetsu with what the kid from 1-C assumed was an expression of great interest under his visor. "That strong?"

"I mean, he did beat All Might's record by over double."

"Riiiight." The teen from 1-A nodded to himself. "And All Might himself is stupidly strong... Chisaki is a nightmare then." He paused before looking at Yosetsu again. "What is his quirk?"

"It's-"

"Wait, don't tell me." Hiryu cut his teammate off and went to grab the bomb to continue walking it to a room. "I want to guess this."

"This should be fun." Yosetsu mused.

A few minutes later, just a moment before the timer would start, Sekijiro spoke about the match about to happen, making conversation while two of the five teachers were still absent dealing with the earlier situation.

"How do you think this will go?" The homeroom teacher of 1-B asked, turning his head to look at Ryūko and Toshinori.

"I think that the defensive team has a solid plan, however it's negated by our two students and their plan." Ryūko answered as she looked at her student on the camera. "She has the advantage in this scenario and the victory should go to the offensive team if they keep their heads on."

"Given the situation, they do have a good advantage." All Might agreed.

"Is he some sort of Saiyan? Like off-brand?" Hiryu asked as the two defense players stood near the door to their planned place to keep the bomb.

"Nah, although that'd be cool."

"Can make massive energy blasts?"

"I don't think so."

"Insane strength?"

"That'd make me assume he is All Might's kid."

"So no. Hmmmm... Can he make insane levels of fire?"

Yosetsu shook his head. "Nah, we do have a fire guy though."

"Can he control time?"

"That... would be possibly more broken."

"I don't think I am going to get this before the match starts." Hiryu sighed.

As if to prove the teen right, All Might's voice came over the speakers and announced the start of the match. "The Trial begins now!"

"Gotta get to my spot." Yosetsu quickly moved down the hall to a room across the hall, and two rooms away with a prime spot to see down the hall, with an angle that kept him obscure enough to not get spotted himself. The teen stayed relatively still while waiting, but his excitement at doing anything in the hero course was getting to him as he was tapping his foot.

A minute passed and nothing happened, something that wasn't really that shocking to Yosetsu as they were on the top floor. So the other team would at least take a bit to get to them. He honestly figured they'd have another two or so minutes before the opposing team rolled up on them.

The next few seconds were a very chaotic blur for the fusion quirked teen as the wall next to him had come crashing down, a shadow thing coming through it and attacking him before he could react, and quickly putting him against the ground as it got bigger.

"Good job Dark Shadow." Yosetsu heard a guy's voice, he believed it belonged to that guy from 1-B named Tokoyami. His not being able to see anything as his face was against the ground with solid shadow around him made it hard to tell what was going on.

"They are facing this direction, they took a step towards us." The voice of a girl was heard, Yosetsu not able to really tell who it was at that point. "So they definitely heard that wall breaking."

"I believe the same tactic can work again, Dark Shadow is ready when you are."

Yosetsu tried to flip his hands and grab the guy on top of him, planning to fuse him to the ground and screw him out of taking the team out so easily, however the guy responded quickly and pinned his hands flat against the ground.

"We should tie this one up." The girl on the other team said.

"Actually. We need not incapacitate him or his ally. I believe we simply have to touch the bomb and Dark Shadow can prove useful in that scenario immensely. One of us can stay here and keep his attention while the other handles the bomb's guard."

"Let's do that then. Less conflict."

"Dark Shadow, hold him steady while I tie him."

"No, I can use these to hold him while you go, you're better for this. His teammate is... in the middle of the room but more so to the right from here. It's on the other side of the hall and two down. That way."

"We shall be quick." Fumikage said as he left, the weight on Yosetsu disappearing as well. The kid of 1-C was able to look up now and saw the girl from 1-D he believed was named Kyoka Jiro. She had those long earlobes of hers currently restraining Yosetsu like a rope while she stood there.

He didn't really have an immediate idea on how to get loose from this, since she was restraining him pretty tightly. Since he had no options, at least any that came to mind, he decided to do what Yosetsu does best; run his mouth.

"Hey." He tried to speak smoothly as he looked at Kyoka, who looked down at him with a somewhat serious look. He wasn't going to admit she looked hot in a way like that, but he'd be damned if he wasn't aware of himself thinking that.

"I don't think you should be talking."

"I'm captured, not faking being dead."

She was silent for a second before responding. "... Shush."

"But I thought villains normally run their mouths?"

Kyoka didn't have a response for that for a second, before just looking at him and saying one word. "Shush."

"I gotta find a better arch enemy." The fusion quirked teen sighed. "Banter ain't what it used to be."

"I don't really do banter." The girl from 1-D responded.

"Bummer." Yosetsu tried to struggle out from his restraints, only for one of the earphone jacks at the end of Kyoka's ear lobes to jab into him and send waves of vibrations through him that shut him up.

"Shush." She said right before the speakers went off.

"The offensive team has secured the bomb. Offense wins!" All Might announced the end of the match.

"Damn." Yosetsu cursed as Kyoka released him.

All Might stood in front of the four members of the match.

"Both teams came up with good plans here today. Defense, you had a solid plan that I believe would have worked had the match not been against this exact team, their quirks and tactics making for a formidable team-up."

"Hit me before I even knew what happened." Yosetsu sighed, not really too upset over his lose since he saw it as simply being outplayed.

"Dark Shadow does act fast." Fumikage spoke as his quirk, which Yosetsu now was aware was Fumikage's literal shadow being a sentient fighter alongside Fumikage, was next to him. Yosetsu mused mentally how Dark Shadow was like a reference coincidentally to a manga he loves and the power system it has there.

"Indeed. Tokoyami and Jiro, you both had a great plan that utilized your skillets to great success and let you complete the trial in what I believe might be the quickest time today and with little conflict."

"It was thanks to Jiro. Without her I believe this would have led to a lot of conflict." Fumikage spoke.

"Wha?!" Jiro reacted with shock as she turned to her bird faced teammate. "You and Dark Shadow easily took down both of them!"

"Yes, but without your help and plan it would not have been as conflict free. Your plan would have saved many people in a real situation." Fumikage responded with a neutral tone.

"Young Tokoyami brings up a point that made the teachers and myself all agree that you have earned being the MVP of this match, Young Jiro."

Instead of panicking or reacting with surprise, Kyoka just stood there looking wide eyed at her teacher. "MVP?"

"Indeed. Your plan was effective and showed a clearly high mind for making tactics. The teachers and myself all believe that that was the defining best part of the trial. Strength and power are helpful for sure, but a mind that guides them effectively is best. You earned it Young Jiro." The man pat her head while the girl turned red from the praise.

Nervous was an understatement to Kinoko as she followed All Might to the building, feeling anxious as she thought about how it was her turn to go, being evaluated by the teachers and being teamed up with someone she doesn't know.

All Might sensed her state and spoke. "Have no worries, Young Komori! This shall be a good match."

Kinoko didn't really respond past a nod, and All Might accepted it as he thought the nervousness will surely dissipate during the trial. The teacher opened the door to the building of the trial and held a nod to Sekijiro who had just arrived with his student, the other member of the defensive team, Jurota Shishida.

Jurota's hero costume consisted of a regular pair of black pants, a blue shirt collar despite no shirt and a pair of stylized black goggles in place of his normal glasses and brown boots with fur around the top. With his quirk and costume it made it very noticeable that he was covered completely in a lot of brown fur.

"Hello madam Komori." Jurota greeted Kinoko in a polite manner, easily making her not worry that she'd be with a bad partner like that one guy from 1-A who wanted to fight Chisaki the day before.

"The match begins in five minutes, good luck younglings!" All Might spoke as he and Sekijiro left, the teacher of 1-B giving a thumbs up to his student.

"I believe we shall do well in this match if we make a fitting plan, as all things can be done through cleverness." Jurota took initiative, something else that eased Kinoko, as she was still nervous about the match. "Knowing what we can do can help overcome our not knowing what they can do. I shall explain my quirk, which is titled simply as Beast, it allows me to enhance myself into a more beastly state than what I already appear as. My physical strength as well as my senses get a boost, and I can get quite larger in overall size. However I admit that the quirk adds a beastly factor to my behavior and I can become a bit chaotic in my actions, but I shall not become too much of a hassle as I will limit that for the sake of this trial." He finished his explanation as he picked up the bomb to see that it was indeed as light as Jurota thought it had been.

Realizing it was now her time to speak Kinoko got to her quirk, actively making a mushroom on her finger she held up to show it. "I can make Mushrooms. I can make the spores sprout them all over the place. It's almost every kind of mushroom too."

"Fascinating." Jurota cupped his chin for a second while thinking. "Does that include other people?" She gave a nod and the beastly teen made a hmm sound. "I do believe that with this information we could actually end this trial quickly and without conflict. Would you like to hear my proposal, Miss Komori?"

The mushroom loving girl gave a nod, and then gained surprise, and then an eager look at the plan, thinking it was amazing.

Kai returned to the viewing room, calmer by bounds than when he left. The second he entered Ryūko gave a reassuring smile.

"Things went smoothly?" She asked, hoping Kai didn't do some damage with how mad she had seen him when he left.

"Not particularly the exact way I would want it to happen... but at this point I will go along with what it is." Kai replied, trying to not let it get to him how much he really disliked that Bakugo kid at this point and how that fed into his thinking the arrogant brat deserves a bigger punishment.

Luckily, Ryūko was a master at this point of reading Kai, and nodded. "I checked with the clinic, Recovery Girl is not there but an upperclassman who has enough experience is there to help Monoma. She is okay."

With that statement the teacher of 1-C's expression softened a bit. "That's good."

"This matchup I find interesting." Sekijiro spoke to change the subject to the joint-class training. "Especially with the plan my student Shishida has come up with."

Kai looked up at the screen to see Kinoko talking to the named lad from 1-B. "It is match six correct?" With a nod from Sekijiro he thought for a second to remember the students participating. "I think it will be an interesting match."

"The trial begins now!"

"Ribbit " Was Tsuyu, one of the two offensive team members, said as she hopped with speed to the building. Her teammate followed, a massive guy from 1-A who's hero costume consisted of a yellow full-body suit, covering even his head, save for the holes around his mouth, each of his eyes, and his brown hair. He had white gloves and boots, and a utility belt around his waist.

Both teens rushed through the front door and got caught off guard as they saw both people standing in the middle of the essential lobby of this building.

Before anyone could say anything Kinoko, the previously nervous girl, held out her arms widely and yelled one word very enthusiastically. "SHROOMS!"

That word seemingly triggered a response from the building as mushrooms of all kinds began to sprout everywhere and even on Tsuyu and her teammate.

"What?!" The teen in yellow gasped as suddenly his breathing became hard and things got blurry. His insides felt abnormal and soon he, alongside his frog-like teammate both fell over, both affected quickly by Kinoko's quirk.

Two seconds later All Might spoke through the speakers. "The offensive team has been incapacitated, Defense wins."

"A magnificent performance." Jurota remarked as he removed his hand from his face, having covered his nose and mouth to prevent any spores from getting in him as well.

Kinoko, still excited over her mushrooms, began to pick some up while saying shroom-tastic.

All Might had waited a few moments for the mushrooms to wear off on Sato of 1-A and Tsuyu, using smelling salts to help them wake up, so that he can speak to all four kids at once while the other teachers retrieved their students for the next trial.

"Your match was possibly the quickest that could have taken place. Defense had a solid, quick and efficient plan that caught the offense by surprise. For offense, I offer advice to not rush in like that. I know I am a bit hypocritical for that suggestion but it was words from some of the other teachers as well. Some quirks can be a quick take down maneuver when used properly and a whole team all going in and getting caught by the wayside like that will make things play out poorly." Both students from offense nodded in understanding as All Might turned to defense. "Young Komori, your quirk is quite an ability that is used exceptionally, and Young Shishida you have a very keen mind to make such an expert level plan. You removed any need for there to be conflict and issues and defused the scenario from having any complications." None of the kids gave a response to All Might's wordplay. "Due to your sharp plan making we believe you should be rewarded as MVP Young Shishida."

The beastly teen held up a hand in a stopping motion. "I am proud to be thought of as highly but I must decline this title if I am allowed to do so."

"Eh?" Was the teacher's elegant response, as his head actually tilted to a side. "You don't want to accept the MVP?"

"As much as I do not want to disagree with the evaluation of multiple Pro Heroes and experts on this field, I must stick to beliefs in which I hold firmly that actions are much more important than words. I merely had an idea, and had little action in that idea, whereas Miss Komori had the action she pulled off quite expertly herself. I have to withhold myself from selection if allowed and recommend Miss Komori in my place." Jurota spoke with calm reserve.

"But it was your shroom-tastic plan that was everything about the trial!" Kinoko argued.

"It may be, however I must restate that actions should be held higher than words and ideas."

All Might gave a happy look to his students. "That is a firm belief and humble attitude to hold Young Shishida. I will make note of your words and see if a revision of the evaluation can be taken with the other teachers about the placement of the MVP title."

"Thank you for the reconsideration."

Kinoko still seemed unsure of the change, but accepted it herself, understanding Jurota's reasoning.

With Kai having returned to the lessons he was back to retrieving the kids from his class, and for this trial he was getting Eijiro.

"Let's do this!" The redhead had jumped from his seat waiting with the rest of the class when his name was spoken. He had followed Kai the whole time and spent the walk barely trying to contain his excitement. "So am I on offense or defense?"

"You are on defense." The teacher of 1-C replied.

"Defense huh? That's probably the best setting..." Eijiro began to get quieter as his thoughts of what he could do filled his head. He wanted to not mess up his battle trial, despite his natural instincts saying to charge into the thing, but at the same time he didn't want to just screw up. He believed the rest of the people in 1-C had definitely won their matches, giving it their all no doubt. That meant he had to do his absolute best as well. The redhead began to mumble as he tried to form ideal plans, gaining an amused look from Kai.

Kai took a guess at what his student was thinking from the few words he picked up from hearing Eijiro mumble and figured to help diminish some of his student's confusion. "I can offer a tip," Kai started, but waited to continue till Eijiro broke his thought process to look at his teacher. "Forming a plan is alright and fine, but instinctual habits can also help, so don't try to ignore them entirely."

"So... don't second guess myself?"

"Second guessing yourself in the proper situations can help you to reevaluate and better act, but it's a double edged sword. It is better to think and act, rather than overdo one and not do the other."

As if a light bulb went off Eijiro got the point. "Balance! Okay, just don't trip myself up."

"Not to lose the meaning of lessons or burst any bubbles, but it would also help if you plan after you meet with the other member of your team." Kai tried his best to not give in any way a bad tone with that.

"Right! My bad... I got too excited."

"Nothing wrong with excitement." Was the last thing either of them said before they entered the building, and Eijiro got to meet his teammate.

"I'M MANGA!" The comic-book-headed kid introduced himself a little too loudly, showing his enthusiasm.

"Hey I'm Kirishima!" The redhead tried to match his energy.

"Remember what I said Kirishima." Kai patted his student on the shoulder. "Keep it in mind and follow your instincts where you think they are right."

"Gotcha Teach!" The teen nodded.

"I was going to say something about instincts as well, but Mister Chisaki beat me to it." Sekijiro Gabe a short laugh. "Good luck kids." With that, both teachers left in the same direction.

"So what's the deal my guy?" Manga asked. "We explain the move sets we have and make a game plan based on that?"

"That's the most reasonable thing to do. I can basically make myself as tough as steel."

"That sounds dope! My quirk lets me make words of power! like onomatopoeias but the words do the sound."

"Like if you said kapow it would have a punching effect sorta thing?"

"Yep, like this." He pointed his hand like a finger gun at a wall. "BANG!" As he said it, a speech bubble actually materialized in front of him and shot off like a cannon at the wall, putting a large crack in it.

Kirishima had stars for eyes. "That was totally rad!"

"Thanks!" Manga beamed at the response.

"Let's get this bad boy in the building and discuss a plan." Eijiro slapped the bomb and ended up making it fall over.

Both teens stared at the bomb for a second before looking at each other with dumb expressions as they thought of jokes.

"We blew ourselves up." Manga pointed at the bomb.

"Worst villains ever." Eijiro laughed, before moving to pick the bomb up off the ground. "Let's be glad this thing wasn't armed yet."

"Yea. Let's take the bomb to the middle floor. I have an idea for a word I haven't exactly tested yet but think should work." The text bubble headed teen led the way.

"Is it from a comic I'd know?" Eijiro asked.

"Is pretty spectacular, so most likely."

"I wanna guess but I know seeing it like a dramatic reveal would be just as cool so Imma let you have the moment."

"Awesome."

Moments later, All Might announced the match's beginning, and both guys on the villain team were hiding in strategic places along the only path to their bomb's hiding place. Thanks to advice from Manga the two stood absolutely still in their spots in separate doorways and didn't move a muscle. They kept themselves at angles to see once someone passed them and were ready to move once it felt necessary.

A good portion of the match had begun to pass and Eijiro honestly felt anxious. He wasn't worried because they had a solid plan, but he would be lying if he said this wasn't driving him crazy just sitting there and waiting.

Finally the two heard someone approaching, two people actually but one more noticeable than the other. Both guys gave each other a look and waited for the people to get closer.

The second a leg came into sight from someone walking, both teens jumped out of hiding, and attacked one of the two people.

Manga attacked a girl in a red suit and hat, using his quirk to say the onomatopoeia "thwip" to make the word shoot out like a rope and ensnare the girl. She was thrown back and stuck to the wall due to the word having a stickiness effect.

Eijiro attacked a guy in an olive hero suit, smacking him in the jaw while hardened to only hear a clanging sound. He looked at the teen and realized that this teen was the guy from 1-A who had silver hair, and now looked like he was made out of a metal matching the color.

"You have a tank quirk too?" The guy asked as he moved himself to fight Eijiro

"Mine's called Hardening." The 1-C student stated as he tried to follow up his strike, getting a block from the guy.

"Steel!" The metal student stated his as he tried to strike his hardened opponent. Before he could however, he was thrown to the swipe and slammed into a wall by Manga using his "thwip" power again.

"Sorry Kirishima but we can't prolong this." Manga said as he used the attack again to trap the 1-A student.

"Ah no worries." The red head waved his hand as All Might spoke on the speakers.

"The offensive team has been captured, Defense wins!"

With the offensive team released all four kids were now with All Might right outside the building.

"Both teams had solid plans. Your teamwork was flawless on defense and you let nothing get past. I have no comments on things to fix because you all had your A game out there. Young Tetsutetsu's quirk did give away your positions as you tried sneaking through the building to search for the bomb but it is smart for the lad to stay in front as a shield with that quirk active. Young Fukidashi, your plan with your quirk was great and executed to perfection! That's why we believe you are the MVP of this match!" All Might pat the kid on the shoulder.

The kid's text bubble of a head became shaped like a bubble of text where someone would be yelling. "Really?! That's awesome!"

"That thwip is a cool technique." Eijiro commented.

"I'll say," Tetsutetsu nodded. "Captured us both in one move each."

As Kai opened the door to the room the last three members of his class were in, he saw them all busy together looking at a few pieces of paper with drawings and notes on.

"If you added gear like that, it would help with your engines overheating. It'd prolong your time before needing to cool down." Itsuka pointed at a paper where she drew a hasty sketch for Tenya.

The teen nodded as he considered it. "That sounds well but what about the extra weight it would add? I'd have to move slower with that extra weight on my calves. Or train harder to gather more strength to make up for the loss."

"It's possible to add the gear but alter your suit to be more lightweight around it." Izuku offered. "Would not be as protected but you'd have more time and no speed loss."

Tenya made a humming sound. "No matter what, if I want to improve something I end up having to decrease something else."

"Equivalent exchange." Izuku commented.

Kai made a coughing sound and actively startled his students, none of which were facing the man.

"Chisaki sensei!" Itsuka spoke a bit louder than she meant to. "Is it time for another match?"

The man nodded. "Yours actually Kendo."

The girl gained a grin and clapped as she stood up. "Great!" She followed the man out of the room as he led her to the trial location.

Izuku looked at Tenya. "If I'm last in the class I will cry."

The spectacled teen nodded. "I wouldn't appreciate waiting till last either."

As Itsuka and Kai entered a door into the building, letting the girl know she was on defense, she saw her teammate and immediately waved.

"Hey Honenuki!" She greeted the 1-B student.

"Aye Kendo." The other teen waved, his face unseen behind a black helmet. "I admittedly already have a plan of action in mind but I know we should discuss things first."

"We'll leave you two to it. Good luck." Sekijiro waved bye to the students as he and Kai left.

"I can carry the bomb to wherever we go." Juzo offered.

"Okay. I'll explain my quirk real quick. I can enlarge my hands and their strength." The 1-C student gave a simple explanation of her quirk and enlarged a hand to provide a visual aide.

Juzo nodded. "Them getting close to you is something that you'd turn to your advantage then. My quirk lets me soften the ground, or any surface that's not living, to a level that I can actively move or swim through it."

Itsuka blinked, not actually hearing of a quirk like that before. "That's interesting."

"My idea was that I'd wait for them to enter the building and pull them into the ground. Effectively trapping them like quicksand." Juzo explained.

The 1-C student nodded. "That's a great plan. I can provide assistance if any of them give good resistance."

Juzo clapped his hands. "Perfect. We can actually bait them here on the first floor if we wanted to go for a speed record."

The girl thought for a second. "We are guarding a bomb, so being quick and efficient in guarding it seems best for that type of scenario."

"I'll take this to the second floor and then come down here to trap one of them as they come in." The armored teen said as he walked up the stairs with the bomb.

Itsuka stayed on the first floor and clapped her hands together as she ran the plan through her head again. It sounded completely solid and she knew she should play distraction and handle the second person until Juzobcan grab them as well. They just needed to hope there wasn't someone on the other team that has a quirk that acts as a foil to Juzo's.

A moment later, after Jzuo returned, All Might was heard announcing the beginning of the match. The 1-B student immediately sank below the ground.

Seconds later, two people ran into the lobby, Itsuka recognizing them as Pony of 1-D and Denki of 1-A.

"Aye pretty lady, hand over your bomb." Denki pointed his fingers like a gun at Itsuka.

The 1-C student moved into her signature style and looked between the two, wondering who she would have to actually deal with.

The answer was revealed as Juzo leapt up from the ground and grabbed Denki by his calves, and pulled the teen down like a scene from a horror movie.

"Kaminari?!" Pony jumped to the side out of shock of her teammate being pulled underground. She didn't have time to gather herself before Itsuka rushed at her.

Kendo's efforts were unneeded as Juzo popped up almost instantly and yanked Pony down as well. The girl stood there for a second before all three other kids popped back out of the ground and Juzo stood between the other two.

He looked up at a camera. "I could've kept them down there for a while but I assume just yanking them counts as a capture? I didn't want them to suffocate."

All Might's voice came over the speakers. "Correct Young Honenuki! That counts as a successful capture and means that the defensive team wins!"

"Alright!" Itsuka cheered. "Good job Honenuki!"

The other teen beamed under his helmet. "Thanks for giving me the chance."

"He's freaking Jason out here man." Denki wheezed, still spooked from being captured.

The Heroics teacher stood in front of all four kids not even ten seconds later, all of them conscious and not needing to pick themselves up from anything too restricting.

"Defensive team, your strategy was remarkable. Young Honenuki you have a splendid quirk with a great talent for it." All Might started his speech, Juzo gaining a proud look under his helmet. "Young Kendo I applaud your choice to follow the plan he made and I noticed you prepared yourself as a backup to it. It is a smart move to backup every plan because things will not always go as smoothly as that."

"Honenuki really got us with that swimming stuff." Pony commented.

"Now we gotta worry about the floor too." Denki sighed. "Everything is an issue."

"Correct Young Kaminari," All Might spin the comment into his next point. "Given the variety of powers, abilities and tricks that quirks can give people, it is best to always be on your toes and be prepared for anything. Some of the most unexpected quirks can prove tricky if the user knows how to work their quirk just right."

"Which was a part of the lesson of the trials today!" Pony added.

The teacher pointed at her excitedly. "Precisely Young Tsunotori!"

"Having an extremely useful quirk like mine may work well if I catch someone off guard, but for all I know I may run into someone who can outmaneuver it." Juzo commented. "I may not have gotten to feel that lesson first hand like they did, or possibly some of the others, but I definitely understand it."

"Young Honenuki, your quirk is indeed a highly useful one, and the key component to your strategy this trial and it went off expertly. Me and the teachers agree that you have earned the MVP spot for this trial." All Might started with his signature grin.

"You definitely earned it." Itsuka commented.

"I'm definitely going to keep working hard to get the next one as well." Juzo claimed.

"I love the motivation and drive!" Their teacher's grin got wider.

Moments later, Kai came back to the room to find Tenya and Izuku both silently sitting there. Tenya had gone to reading his history textbook and Izuku was looking through his biology textbook. Both teens turned when they heard their masked teacher enter the room and both had a gleam to their eye like they hoped it was their match next.

"It's time for your match Iida." Kai spoke and saw Izuku deflate a little.

"I'm the last person in the class?" Izuku asked and put his head against the table he was at. "I knew it."

"I will perform in my trial with haste if that'd lessen your wait time." Tenya offered.

"Don't do that. You could slip up in your own match and it'd be my fault for not being patient." Izuku waved off his classmate.

"It will only be twenty minutes to a half hour at most, Izuku." The patriarch Chisaki offered. "And so far most of the kids have been using great tactics and not getting closer to the end of the time limit."

With that, Kai left with Tenya to guide him to where he will start his trial. They walked in relative silence, Tenya mentally prepared himself for his match.

Halfway to the building, Kai spoke. "You'll be on offense for this trial. It can be a good test of your speed at clearing a place if you have thought about that before."

"Hmmm…" Tenya made a humming sound of thought. "It would be an interesting test, especially with determining how well I can handle the sharp corners and halls of a building. I may consider it but I also intend to collaborate with my teammate Incase they have a plan in mind."

Kai nodded. "Communication is a vital aspect of any functioning team. It's good that you already understand that. A lot of you kids show more intuition than people give you credit for." He was mostly thing admittedly about how poorly he viewed heroes back when he was a part of the Yakuza, but he would not say that to one of the students.

"My brother gives me a lot of tips and wisdom." The teen replied, almost beaming at just the mention of his brother.

"He is Ingenium correct? I once had a conversation with the man." Kai stated, remembering seeing the man a few years back. "He has my respect."

"He's amazing!" Tenya said a bit louder than he meant to, getting over excited at the topic.

"You are to be my ally in this trial?" A girl spoke as they rounded a corner and They saw Ryūko with Reiko Yanagi. "It is an honor to be aligned as teammates in this matchup of skills."

Without missing a beat Tenya nodded. "It is an honor and I will do my utmost to help the team."

"Good luck kids, do your best." Ryūko spoke to the kids before beginning to leave with Kai. "How did Izuku take being the last in your class?"

"He put his head against a table. Not too hard though." Kai had a smile as they walked away.

Tenya turned to Reiko. "We told each other about our quirks at that apology party I believe. My use of my calves as engines and you having telepathy?"

The girl nodded. "Indeed, we did share our powers with each other. We have this advantage of a quick moment to build up more of a plan for how we will operate as offensive operators of justice." Reiko spoke in her verbose way.

Tenya gained an idea instantly and held up his finger. "I have an idea that may work to both of our quirks and styles."

"I am eager to hear the strategy."

Tenya nodded and explained his idea, based on small knowledge of their quirks and what Kai said.

After he finished explaining, Reiko nodded. "That is indeed a strategy of great opportunity. I believe we should follow through with it."

Tenya gained a smile under his helmet and nodded as well. "Now we wait for the trial to begin."

A moment later All Might's voice came over the speakers and the 1-C student quickly put his plan to work.

With a burst of sound, he shot off like a blur at the building and entered the first floor. Using his speed at a good level for his control at turning the kid began to search the first floor for the bomb to find it nowhere on that level. He ran back to the center where the staircase was and zoomed by Reiko had just gotten near the stairs.

"I'll check the second floor!" He tried to shout for her so she could hear him over his engines as he ran past, but he moved so quickly she couldn't actually hear him properly. Thankfully Reiko understood exactly what he intended to say.

Repeating his process on the second floor, Tenya's search gave no positive results, and a moment later he returned to the staircase and slid to a stop next to Reiko.

"I gotta let them cool for a second, just in case they are on the third floor." He stated as he was able to stand naturally next to her. The girl nodded in response and a moment later Tenya kicked his legs back and used the engines again.

As he ran up to the third floor, Tenya began to check rooms and ran through a doorway only to run into a hard object.

Smacking into it hard he heard a cracking sound but couldn't look as he toppled over.

"Ha! I got one!" Tenya heard the guy Kosei say from inside the room.

"What?" The 1-C student looked up to see nothing still. He put his hand forward and felt it press into something he couldn't see, and then turned to see Kosei and the six armed guy from 1-A. Behind them was the bomb "An invisible wall?"

"Close! It's a wall of solid air!" Kosei bragged. "And this entire area is filled with layers of those! You guys aren't getting through!"

At that moment Reiko stepped next to Tenya and looked in the room. "They have formidable defenses. I imagine that they are also prepared for an altercation should we prove to be able to breach those defenses physically."

"Yea! We are!" Kosei pointed at her.

"We are prepared to wait this out in here or fight if we have to." The six armed guy from 1-A commented.

"What do you suggest?" Tenya looked to his teammate, speaking low enough that the defensive team couldn't hear them.

"I believe my ability should penetrate these defenses sure enough, and grab the bomb and secure the win for us." Reiko looked at the distance between her and the fake device.

"I still think it can count as grabbing it. Do you?" The engine quirked teen looked up and looked at the device as well.

"I would imagine it does as well. A simple touch physically counts as a way of securing the device for ourselves, so if I am able to make it float up I would believe it counts just the same."

Tenya made a humming sound. "Hmmm… can you teach it from here?"

The girl raised her arm towards the bomb and focused on her quirk. The paper mache bomb began to rise up and the girl moved it towards the window on the opposite end of the room from them. "I can."

After a second of silence, All Might spoke over the speakers. "Offensive team has secured the bomb, offense wins!"

"You kids all played good strategies," All Might began as he gathered all the kids outside the building. "I personally believe both strategies were great. The offense proved to have the better abilities luckily that countered the plan of defense. We commend you guys on your thinking and nominate Young Iida as the MVP for his solid plan that incorporated the abilities of his team and had it take advantage of the situation after it faced changes."

"I accept this only if it is okay with my teammate. Yanagi's abilities were more key than my initial plan to be a distraction while she grabbed it." Tenya responded, having his helmet off at the moment.

Reiko looked at Tenya with mild surprise. "My telepathic capabilities were definitely of major use but it was your mind that found the strategy for this match that gave us victory. You should have the title as you earned it with your sharp mind."

The 1-C student nodded. "I accept the status then."

"It was a solid plan." Kosei commented.

"I did not consider that telekinesis could count as a way to secure the bomb." The six armed guy, named Mezou, added.

All Might gave a chuckle. "Excellent. You kids are true examples of sportsmanship. The last match is soon to begin and then all of the classes will meet up to go over all the trials."

When Kai opened the door to the room he heard scuttling and saw Izuku shoot out of his chair to stand in front of him.

"It's finally my turn!" Izuku exclaimed with too much energy.

Kai laughed at the energy and turned to walk back to the trial's location, Izuku following eagerly. "Yep, it's now your turn."

"How did everyone else do?"

"Most of the other kids all worked together and did their best." The only one Kai would say didn't really perform well was Bakugo.

"Nice. I can't wait to see everyone's matches and how well they did."

"For your trial you are on offense, I know you can piece together what to do so I am going to tell you something else instead." Kai paused so that his son can focus more before he continued. "Bakugo had his trial already and went against Monoma."

"What?" The younger Chisaki asked out of mild surprise and confusion that he was being told. However, he quickly connected that he was being told because something had happened. "How'd it go?"

"He went vastly overboard and could've killed Monoma." He held up his hand to keep Izuku from yelling at hearing that. "Monoma is okay and getting her injuries patched up right now. I am only telling you right now because I know that you are realizing that Bakugo possibly did this because of his pettiness towards you, and you will probably hit him again. I understand you would, and I would like to as well, but you can't and won't."

Izuku didn't speak for a moment as he tried to think, getting decently aggravated at Bakugo. "You told me now since it's my trial in a minute."

"That way you have to take your mind off of it and focus on the right stuff. Bakugo is already being handled and Monoma is okay. I knew you'd react poorly to him being the person he is, so I wanted you to get over it before the classes all reconvened."

The kid was quiet again. "You know I hit Bakugo?"

"Kendo and Himiko both told me about it at separate times. They also gave me context about why." He saw the worried look on Izuku's face and commented on it. "You're not in trouble. Bakugo sought out you to cause problems and you ignored it until he started after Himiko. I am letting it slide this time but you can't attack him again on school grounds."

"Is Monoma really okay?" Izuku asked after a moment, deciding to focus on the girl's condition rather than his old bully.

"She's fine, nothing too serious, luckily for Bakugo." Kai replied. He would definitely have been on a war oath had Monoma been in worse condition.

Izuku was quiet for another minute, a hard expression on his face. His dislike of Bakugo was worse because of the jerk going overboard in his match against Monoma. Monoma definitely didn't deserve that at all and it angered Izuku that Bakugo would be an asshole to that sweet girl. Izuku didn't really think about the fact that he considered Neimo sweet, or cute, it felt like a given in his thought process so his mind skipped right past it without registering important details that should be registered.

Instead of focusing on proper details it would probably take him weeks to realize, he turned back to the discussion. "Please tell me he at least is getting punished properly. Back when I first knew him he really got away with everything."

"I don't agree with his punishment. He is being put on thin ice and in the general education course as part of a probation." The man didn't bother to think about whether or not a student should know about another student's being in trouble, since this was Izuku. As they rounded a corner they got to the street outside the trial's budding and Sekijiro and his student were within sight. "I know this can be a bit of a distraction but for now just focus on your trial."

"Got it. Would prefer not to think about that guy anyways."

"I understand that completely." Kai patted his son on the shoulder. "As long as you focus on the trial I know you will pass it."

"I'll do my best." Izuku gave a grin and a thumbs up.

"Gotta admit," Sekijiro spoke as the other teacher and student got closer. "I really didn't expect the kids to get through their matches this fast. I figured we'd still be in the seventh match right now."

"They show efficient strategizing." Kai replied. "Good communication and teamwork make for quick conflict resolution."

"Indeed it does. Glad the kids this year are friendly and as cooperative as they are. It makes those lessons easier for you guys." He said the last bit as he looked between Izuku and the other student. "Good luck to you kids."

"Good luck." Kai added as both teachers made their way to the observation room.

As the teachers left, Izuku turned to look at his teammate. His teammate was Kouji Kouda of 1-Bo, who's hero costume consisted of a light yellow suit, only reaching to his knees and elbows, with a large red marking over his torso and at the ends of his sleeves. On his chest, there was a symbol resembling an open mouth, and he had yellow shoes with red lining to match his outfit.

As soon as he had turned to the kid, Izuku held out his hand to formally introduce himself to the 1-B student. "Hey Koda, excited for the trial?"

Kouji nodded without speaking, looking nervous as he did so. Izuku gained the impression he was extremely shy, and spoke again to not make the kid nervous with silence.

"For good team planning we should know what we both can do " Izuku started right on working on planning the match. "My quirk is called Overhaul and lets me actively control most everything down to the cellular level. Since we're here in a practice situation though I imagine I should keep it tame, like maybe opening walls for new paths or repositioning us. I can pretty much control the layout of the building if I tried." He stopped himself from rambling on too much about the possibilities present with his quirk.

Kouda poked his fingers together and spoke, decently quiet but loud enough that Izuku next to him could hear. "My quirk is called Anivoice… I can communicate with animals and give them orders…"

The 1-C student lit up at hearing that. "Really?! All animals?! That sounds so cool! So like you can ask a bear to come into a situation with a villain or criminal and he can give them the people's elbow? That sounds awesome!" At this point he had stars for eyes. "So you can freely talk to animals? Do they speak with a level of intelligence like us then? Does it work only like that for the more intelligent animals?"

Kouda gained an alarmed look at being asked so many questions so quickly and began to make a stuttering noise, but was able to answer after a second. "I can talk to uhm, hold conversations with them…"

"That's so cool!" Izuku was trying to think of more questions. "Do they have their own accents? Different languages for each animal? Or is it just that you instantly know all the languages and can't tell the difference either way? Are they as expressive with languages as we are? On the accents, is it just in general or do all animals have their own kinda dialect tones? Or is it area based like with humans?" He stopped asking questions, taking the first breath since he began to speak, and saw that Kouda was looking as startled as earlier.

"It's… it's um… I hear them chirp or bark or howl and I just understand it." Kouda answered.

"That's such a cool quirk. If someone was ever lost in the woods you could probably find them instantly by asking a bird or any of the animals if they have seen someone." The masked kid commented before looking at the building they would soon be investigating. After a solid second he got an idea. "WAIT!"

His sudden yelling startled Kouda enough that the teen actually jumped back a bit.

Izuku looked at the kid and then pointed at the building. "Can you call in birds to fly around and look in the windows to see where the people are?"

The teen took a second and nodded to Izuku, who gained a grin.

"That means the second we can start to do things, you can gather Intel and we can figure out the situation before we even enter the building." The teen explained. "That is, if you're okay with that plan of action."

Kouda didn't hesitate to nod, and spoke with more confidence than before. "I can do it!"

Kai, having returned to the observation room, watched as his son and his teammate planned their trial and had a smirk. He knew Izuku would easily secure the bomb but now he could potentially do it without a single attack being thrown.

A few minutes later, All Might announced that the final battle trial had started.

"BEGIN!"

As soon as the man spoke, Kouda activated his quirk and Izuku watched as birds were heard in the distance and began to go towards them.

It was definitely something that would have made Izuku panic had he not known his teammate had called upon the birds, so instead of the normal response he just had a wide, awed expression.

The birds all flew towards the building and began to fly around it, landing occasionally on window edges and peering in. After what was about fifteen seconds, a bird hopped away from it's window and flew towards Kouda and made a caw.

Kouda turned to Izuku and pointed up at the window on the fourth floor. "She says they're in there."

Izuku nodded. "I can quickly scale the building if we want a fast arrest. You can go through the building and appear behind them if they're facing me and giving me issues."

His teammate nodded and made for the main door to the building.

The masked kid moved to the side of the building and investigated it. The building looked almost segmented between each floor, so his plan of use for Overhaul would have to be extended. He took a mental wager that his father specifically had them use a building with such a specific design choice to hinder his use of the quirk.

With a small grin under his mask, Izuku knelt to put his hand on the ground and made the pavement vibrate before it rose up like a pillar, carrying him upwards towards the desired window. He stopped himself just below where he'd be visible, just in case they were looking there due to the birds, and took a breath before grabbing the wall and removing the entire surface as he jumped towards it.

Landing in the building he quickly saw three things; Mina, a blond guy in shiny armor, and the bomb. The former two things both saw him as well.

"Chisaki!" Mina pointed at the guy. "You're my opponent?!" Instead of shock she looked thrilled about seeing someone she knew.

Izuku didn't react to her and grabbed the ground again, deciding to act fast. He used Overhaul and manipulated the ground to quickly move himself right towards the bomb, dodging a quickly fired laser by the armored guy, and put his hand on the bomb. The kid actively using Overhaul to sink his hand into the thing to prove he had it in his grasp.

Both defending teens stopped moving and looked at Izuku in silence, a silence that was broken after a few seconds by All Might.

"The Offensive team has secured the bomb, offense wins!" The Heroics teacher announced the results.

"Aw maaaan…" Mina moaned. "I was hoping for a cool match but the second I saw you I knew you'd do something like that." She indicated to Izuku with the last part.

"Did you shoot a laser at me?" Izuku immediately turned to the other kid.

The laser shooting kid gained a large smile as he saw Izuku's amazed expression. "Oui, I did indeed. It was a fabulous attempt on my end but you did outmaneuver me just as fabulously."

"You talk like my mom, but french." Mina commented.

"How strong is the laser? Can you shoot it from everywhere on you or is it a specific spot? If it's one spot does that mean it is a specific angle you can shoot it out at? Does it have different levels to how powerful the beam is or is it consistent?" Izuku began to ask the kid questions.

Outside, a moment later, the kids gathered with All Might for the results of the final match.

"I commend both teams for having good plans," The Pro Hero started. "You had clean strategies that would work well in many scenarios and have a good grasp on teamwork. Defense, even if your strategy was unable to be followed due to the swiftness of offense, it was a worthy plan. The only suggestion I can give at this moment is that surprises can hit fast and an extra plan for the quick and sudden may be a wise addition to future endeavors."

"Got it!" Mina nodded with a large smile, not deterred by her loss at all.

"Making a set of plans for multiple situations will definitely be smart." Mina's teammate, who revealed his name as Yuga Aoyama, nodded as well.

Toshinori had a smile at their responses before he turned to the other two teens. "Offense, you two both pulled off a perfect plan that was quick, clean and efficient. One simple step from both of you and it went off without a hitch. The idea to send in a scout for information was great and I believe you will be a great Intel gathering Pro Young Kouda." He patted the kid on his shoulder as he said that and Kouda looked ready to crumble from nervousness. "Young Chisaki, how you handled entering the area and ignoring conflict to first dispatch the objective was fluid and in the field would be what could be the action that saves lives. I only ask why you opted to ask Young Kouda to go around the other direction instead of going up the side with you."

Izuku took off his mask to let it hang around his neck. "I figured that it didn't matter what people were on defense, everyone would be after me if they saw me. Orientation kinda set me up as the top first year and not even knowing my quirk doesn't matter to that, if I was seen I would automatically be everyone's main focus. I opened the wall to make them look in my direction and thought Kouda could sneak behind them while they focused on me, if I couldn't get to the bomb instead." He paused for a second before thinking of something else. "Plus if we were both right there and they were looking due to the birds we could've been wiped out by one move, would've been a bad call."

All Might nodded. "Kai did say that could be your possible reasoning and he was right. Now I owe him some yen…"

Izuku narrowed his eyes. "Wait, you bet on me?"

"Nonsense!" The man let out a laugh. "Anyways, Young Chisaki, we all agree that you are the MVP of the final match, for your quick planning and actions."

The kid gained an excited look. "Nice!"

"Can't believe you had to rob me of MVP." Mina poked Izuku. "I wanted to share that title with Himi and Sets."

"There's the next class possibly." Izuku offered.

"Yea but I feel like playing catch-up isn't as fun as just being with the girls from the get go." She made a sigh before she turned to Kouda. "So you can talk to animals? What's that like? Do they have their own slang and cool words?"

Once again, Kouda was thrown off by how excited someone got over his quirk. He stumbled over a few nonsensical syllables but couldn't speak before All Might did.

"Alright kids, all four classes are being gathered for group evaluation, follow me!" He began to head to the others with the kids following.

All Might and the final four kids entered a cafeteria, set on the first floor of a building closer to the main observation building of the zone. The other kids already had lunches beginning to be set out and they all noticed the newcomers.

"Aye! How'd you guys do?" Kirishima asked.

"Chisaki is no fun to go against!" Mina looked at Himiko while pointing at Izuku.

"What did you do?" Sen looked at his classmate.

"I avoided conflict and used my quirk to slide across the room to grab the bomb." Izuku made a motion with his finger to show how he moved.

"You kids enjoy lunch for now and we'll begin the group discussion and class afterwards!" All Might announced to the classes.

"At this point you are free to talk about the details of your matches." Sekijiro stated.

"You all did great today." Ryūko added.

Shortly after, Izuku had gotten lunch and sat at a table with Shoto, Hitoshi, Sen, Yosetsu and Hanta and Denki from 1-A. Unlike at the cafeteria in the school the classes ended up talking in random groups of the people from their classes or from their trials. In the case of Hanta and Denki, they were there because Hanta was talking to Shoto.

"So how did you guys do?" Izuku looked to Shoto and Hitoshi mostly, wanting to know if his declared rivals did just as good.

"I earned MVP for control of the situations in my trial." Hitoshi replied. "Your sister did great but she let her tendencies get to her." He was not going to mention he was called a Jezebel by Himiko or that he flirted with her as a joke to see her flustered reaction. He already saw Izuku punch a kid for badmouthing her so he didn't want to know the reaction to that.

"I claimed MVP for similar reasons." Shoto added.

"Yea he did!" Hanta pointed a chopstick at Shoto. "Todoroki straight up froze the building and made the competition feel as cold as the ice in his veins."

"Man…" Yosetus put his head against the table. "You all are MVP's and I straight up got jumped by a shadow."

"At least you weren't accused of sexual harassment and being a perv." Sen laughed.

"Don't act like that's a loss!" Yosetsu pointed at Sen from across the table. "You got a date out of this!"

Izuku looked at Sen. "What?"

"I went against Tokage and things got weird…" the Gyrate user saw his classmate's expression and pointed at Setsuna two tables away. The girl had heard the mention of her and was looking at Sen and raising her eyebrows over and over again with a smirk. "As punishment for my crimes she said I am taking her on a date…" he paused and had a grin. "This ain't even a punishment."

"Bastard." Yosetsu pointed a dramatic finger at his friend.

"I can talk to her about setting you up with one of her friends." Sen offered.

Yosetsu stared at Sen for a solid five seconds. "You are a saint."

Izuku thought for a second before looking at the cafeteria. "Where's Monoma?"

"You didn't hear yet?" Hitoshi looked at his friend. "She went to the clinic after her match against Bakugo."

"I heard he went overboard." Yosetsu added.

Tooru, who was at the table right next to them, turned to comment. "That jerk wouldn't cooperate and blew half the building off! I haven't actually met Monoma yet but I'm proud of her for smacking that jerk!"

"As someone from his class…" Hanta began. "Yea. He isn't really the vibe."

"Even though we knew him for barely two days I am not surprised he went overboard." Denki added. "I mean I am shocked he did it to a cute girl but still."

"He hit her so hard she lost her shoe!" Tooru held up the mentioned footwear. "I want to give it back to her but I don't know where she is."

Izuku held up a hand. "I can give it back to her. Am in her class." The invisible girl gave an unseen nod and handed the shoe over.

"He's not here either is he?" Sen asked as he did a look around the cafeteria.

"Nope. I think his butt got in trouble." Denki replied.

"Well no duh, I'm pretty sure his bomb was good enough to almost kill." Hanta looked at his classmate.

There was a blur and a sound of movement, and Himiko was standing right next to Izuku. "Hey bro! I won my trial!"

Her brother spun in his seat. "Nice! Did you get to use the mask yet?"

The blonde Chisaki shook her head. "Nope! No chance because of h-him!" The girl pointed at Hitoshi and stepped over her words as she saw him. The profession of love he gave her still on her mind.

"It was your plan." Hitoshi responded to her lightheartedly. "A good plan."

The girl turned noticeably red. "Because I am great!"

"I agree." The tired teen responded with a smile as he continued to eat his food.

Himiko turned red enough to blend in with Kirishima's hair. "My girls are calling for me!" She lied and quickly walked away.

There was silence following her departure, a silence in which most of the guys at that table began to slowly turn and look at Hitoshi, who continued to eat his food. The only two who didn't do the slow turn were Izuku and Shoto. Hitoshi finally decided to acknowledge the looks and raised his gaze to match everyone else's, and with fake innocence asked a question. "What?"

"What." Yosetsu said slowly. "In the hell. Was that?"

"I dunno."

"Liar." Denki pointed at Hitoshi.

"Liars will not be smiled upon in history." Hanta added as he pointed at Hitoshi as well.

"So I wasn't the only one with confusing game out there?" Sen asked.

"I will not hesitate to use Overhaul if I need to." Izuku stated to no one and everyone there.

"I dunno what everyone is talking about." Hitoshi responded to everyone. "I'm just eating my shrimp."

"Ummm…" Someone speaking behind Izuku a second later made everyone turn to see Neimo, with bandages on multiple spots of her person. She was looking at Izuku directly because she saw her shoe next to him. "Can I have my shoe?"

"Monoma!" Izuku, Sen and Yosetsu and even Tenya at a different table all shouted as they saw the girl, actively making her look startled.

"Here's your shoe!" Izuku handed it over so she wouldn't have to wear what looked like a spare from the clinic.

Tenya and Itsuka both came over after seeing the girl was there.

"Are you okay Monoma?" Tenya asked. "I heard that Bakugo acted unseemly and that you were in the clinic."

"I'm fine." The girl responded as she tried to put her shoe on.

"Are you sure? I heard that he broke half of the building around you guys." Itsuka spoke.

"I swear, I'm fine." The girl gave an awkward smile to make them believe her.

"That was super cool of you to smack the jerkwad!" Denki commented. "What's your nu- mmmph!"

Denki had gotten cut off by Hanta, who covered his friend's mouth. "Dope stuff, ignore him though." He then smacled his friend lightly on the nose. "No cringe! No!"

Neimo only gave an odd look with rosy cheeks as a response before someone else spoke to her, Izuku.

"Good job." Was all Izuku said, with a smile. He opted to congratulate her instead of asking the same questions everyone else already had.

Neimo stared at him for a solid five seconds before turning red much like Himiko did from Hitoshi's comments. "Th-uh-thanks! I um… I was worried that I wouldn't do well!"

The emerald Chisaki nodded. "I get that, Bakugo is pretty intimidating. He tried to go all out and you beat him though, so you're better than him. Not really a hard thing to do personality wise because he's an ass and you're pretty sweet, but skill wise you are better."

"As far as I know only I have beaten him here also." Shoto commented. "So statistically you are one of the top students here."

"Oh definitely." Izuku pointed to Shoto and nodded to Neimo.

Neimo began to get redder but mentally told herself to be calm and nodded. "Thanks. I have to get food now!" She said awkwardly before she would turn redder and began to leave.

Izuku didn't question it and turned back to his food and saw all the guys at his table, plus Tenya and Itsuka, all staring at him much like they looked at Hitoshi. With genuine confusion he questioned them. "What?"

"Don't what us!" Yosetsu groaned.

"I don't know what that means." Izuku replied, and then took a second to think and then also turned red at his conclusion. He assumed they all were on his case about how he talked to her and how he may have a crush on Neimo. The kid wasn't against thinking she was cool but he didn't want them acting like Kai or Himiko. "Shut up."

"We should discuss this." Hitoshi smirked.

"You just want us to forget you tried to sweet talk his sister horribly." Yosetsu pointed at the teen.

"Her reactions are funny." The tired teen replied with a shrug, mentally thinking about how he never really joked when he said anything to Himiko.

"I'm going to make sure Monoma's hand is okay." Itsuka stated as she turned to walk away.

"I shall join you." Tenya followed suit.

"So what lesson do you think we all get for today as a group?" Sen turned the discussion to actual school stuff.

"Thanks to Bakugo we probably will have a whole ass lecture about being responsible in training even though I'm sure everyone else here was." Denki sighed.

"Nah," Yosetus shook his head. "When All Might spoke with my group and everyone's I imagine he said stuff about that level of stuff given our performances."

"Yea but it's reiteration and all that." Sen commented. "Not like he thinks we really need it but better to say it and be safe."

"So which classes got the most MVPs?" Hanta asked.

"1-C." Shoto answered. "From what I know, four of us have that reward."

"Almost half the matches right there." Yosetsu commented.

"Kinda wack. You guys are stacked then." Denki replied.

"Well duh, we got the top recommended and overall students in our class." Sen indicated to Izuku and Shoto.

"What even is your quirk?" Hanta asked Izuku.

"I can control anything I touch done to the cellular level." Izuku held up a gloved hand and wiggled his fingers.

Hanta and Denki both stared at Izuku for a solid five seconds before they both said the exact same thing; "That's bullshit."

"Are you serious?" Hanta asked.

"Yea." The wielder of Overhaul nodded.

"Deadass?" Denki asked.

"Yep."

"People too?"

"Yep."

"So you telling me you can touch someone and just instantly give them the worst haircut known to man?" Denki asked.

Izuku actually stopped for a second to picture giving someone a perm. "Yes?"

"The most effective way to stop a criminal." Hanta commented. "Make their fresh cut look like a crime scene."

Denki shook his head and made a clicking sound. "I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy." He turned to Hanta and looked at his hair. "Maybe you because your hair is already raggedy."

"That was just a violation." Yosetus laughed.

A bit later lunch had ended and the lessons began again. All Might and the teachers began to discuss everyone's matches with all the students and small things they can improve on, with more in-depth commentary than what All Might would say at the end of matches. And then after that All Might began to give hypotheticals for situations and have the kids think about it and write their answers as to what they'd do on paper before discussing it verbally. Overall, the kids enjoyed the class.

After most of the day was over, All Might had one final aspect of the class left.

"Alright younglings!" The massive man clapped his hands. "For our finale I would like to ask you all a simple question based on your trials earlier today… Out of all the students today, who do you think carried the spirit of Plus Ultra the most and should be titled as the most valuable hero of the battle trials in their entirety?" He looked around like he was willing to let the kids open the floor for all of them to speak.

"Wait," Momo raised her hand and All Might pointed to her. "Isn't this a decision for the teachers?"

"Nope!" Toshinori had a grin. "They believe that it should be you kids' decision."

"So do we just vote?" Eijiro asked.

"You kids can discuss and vote how you see fit." The teacher answered.

The kids all were silent for a moment before one kid spoke.

"Chisaki pretty much negated conflict in our match." Mina pointed to Izuku two tables over.

"He did plan for surveillance and recon." Momo nodded.

"Shishida came up with the shroomtastic idea that ended our match with no conflict really fast." Kinoko pointed to the furry teen across the table from her.

"I would say the same sentiment about our own match's MVP role here." Jurota replied.

"Todoroki completely took over his building." Setsuna offered. "Hard to top that."

"I think it's Chisaki." Hitoshi indicated to Izuku.

Izuku thought for a second before shaking his head. "Not me. I honestly think it's Monoma." He paused and everyone looked at him. "She's the one here who had to push herself to deal with Bakugo and beat him. She literally went plus ultra."

Neimo blinked, not really expecting someone to mention her. It even being Izuku if all people made her mentally flip.

"Yea!" Sen agreed. "What Chisaki said, Monoma legit went beyond and dealt with a harder situation than all of us. We all held back with each other to degrees and her opponent wasn't doing that."

"I agree." Ibara added. "I heard those dreadful explosions and thought them to be too much, and she held her ground against them."

"Me too!" Tooru spoke. "I think Monoma earned that!"

The rest of the kids began to agree and then looked at Monoma to see what she had to say and saw the girl staring at the table in front of her. Her eyes had become red and a few years dropped but the girl had a small smile.

Itsuka, sitting next to Neimo, put a hand on her shoulder.

"Thank you." Neimo spoke quietly, but everyone heard her.

All Might nodded. "If everyone is in agreement, then I pronounce Young Monoma as the MVH."

"Good job Monoma." Itsuka patted her friend's shoulder and the other kids began to clap as Neimo's smile got bigger.

Bakugo cursed as he thought about what happened. It was absolute bullshit that out of all kids in the hero course that he was removed. Let alone how he went full force it was an insult that he was removed but half of those losers would be there instead of him.

He didn't even see the issue with his going full force, the girl took the blast and followed it up to attack him again, leaving a noticeable mark on his face actually.

Bakugo touched the scar and felt his face heat up. Not from the injury but how he got it. That girl tanked one of his most powerful attacks he had ever produced and actually knocked him out! He remembered her expression from when she re-entered the building. It was fierce. She had ferocity and tenacity that he underestimated.

The teen's face turned red as he continued to think about that girl.

A/N: Welp, after a year and a half I finally end the battle trials. Took me long enough right? I know no one found that funny so I'll just move past that.

Neimo being pronounced the MVH was deadass a last minute addition because I think she deserves it. She had the toughest match and I think it's a neat way to boost her confidence.

I really thought I'd have more to say at this point but I got nothing. Been too long since the last update so responding to reviews feels kinda odd and all. So my important message is to go read Mage of the Game. Is a good story (no bias in that lmao) I started in the time in-between this chapter and the previous. It's set in Black Clover and follows an OC but he's also a real mf. It is my favorite story of mine. (Touch of Heroism is probably third tbh) In short, go read why Wilhelm is the goat of the Papaya-verse (patent pending)

As I say at the bottom of every chapter, I have a discord server with the link in my Bio.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter, let me know how it was and have a good day!
