Chapter 25:
Equestrians vs Outsiders!
"It's over, Twilight! I have dreamed of nothing for years!" Stone Heart announced, looking over at Twilight with an angry toothy sneer.
No matter what, he was determined not to return to the Outlands.
"Oi, does he need a hobby," Rainbow Dash commented to her friends, getting rather annoyed with Stone Hearts' obsession with revenge and taking back the kingdom. Why couldn't he find something else to keep himself busy?
"Last chance, Stone Heart, go home!" Twilight ordered him one last time, facing Stone Heart.
"I am home, Twilight…" Stone Heart snarled, grinning viciously as thunder clashes and lightning flashed.
"ATTACK!" Stone Heart shouted out his first command.
The Outsiders whinnied out and began their approach on the Equestrians. Twilight lets out a whinny, ordering her band to attack the Outsiders as they began their approach as well. First, they started out walking toward each other glaring and snarling at each other until they finally began running towards each other whinnying in anger and hate as the two bands collided…
The War Between the Equestrians and the Outsiders Has Begun!
The two armies battled each other ferociously. They hit, they zapped, they kicked, they pounced, and one Outsider even knocked some of the armor off an Alicorn's back and bit into it as the Alicorn whinnied in pain.
"Go for the eye!" Stone Heart commanded as an Outsider violently zaps an Alicorn stallion in the face with its magic, knocking off his helmet.
"Break her jaw!" Stone Heart ordered next.
Another Outsider violently smacks another armored Alicorn away with its muddy hoof.
"Take him low!" Stone Heart demanded next as he watched one Outsider attack an Alicorn, biting its unarmored stomach.
"Get them! Do as you must!" Stone Heart encouraged as he watched his band take on Twilight's band with ease.
While the Equestrians were just mainly trying to defend their home and themselves without killing their opponents, the Outsiders were going all out. And it was all the Equestrians could do to stay alive. And it looked like the Outsiders would be in control of Equestria before the night was over!
Meanwhile, Dusk and Ocellus arrived at the other side of the gorge and saw their families have already begun fighting each other. Dusk and Ocellus turned to each other and know they have to stop their bands from fighting before it's too late. Because if things keep up there would be major loss of life. They couldn't and wouldn't let things get that far! At least they hoped not. The two Alicorns started running to the log dam to get to their fighting families and fast!
Back at the battle, the Outsiders and the Equestrians are still fighting it out with each other. One Outsider even dragged an Equestrian by the tail as two more Outsiders pounced on him and began attacking him like a pack of wolves attacking a moose.
Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash watched the battle unfold and this is far different from the fight they had with Chrysalis and the Diamond Dogs. This is a battle between Stone Heart and his band of exiled Alicorns. Ponies fighting other ponies!
"What do we do, girls?! What do we do?!" Pinkie asked, seeing the situation they are in becoming dire.
"There's only one thing we can do, Pinkie…" Rainbow replied, knowing the only one thing they can do in a battle like this.
"That's right. When the goings get tough, the tough get going!" Applejack said, pounding her hoof in determination while getting what Rainbow Dash was thinking and saying.
"Exactly, that's our motto!" Rainbow Dash said, noting Applejack is correct.
"But I thought our motto was 'Hakuna Matata'," Pinkie said, feeling greatly confused about the change in their motto.
Rarity face hoofed herself from Pinkie's cluelessness, "Pinkie, dear. Stop living in the past, please," She said, getting rather annoyed with Pinkie still living in the past and not the present.
"We're gonna need a new motto for this time, huh?" Fluttershy asked with a bored tone as Rainbow, Rarity, and Applejack nodded their heads in reply.
"Now come on, girls! Let's chase these Alicorns outta here! Yee-Haw!" Applejack cheered as she and her friends began running toward an Outsider through their battle cry, ready to take on their first bad Alicorn.
But when they got close enough, one Outsider turned to them and lets out a fierce loud lion-like whinny at them. The Mane 5 screamed in fright and started running the other way.
"Like you said, AJ. Let's get going!" Rainbow shouted as she and the others began running off away from the Outsiders, screaming for their lives.
Dusk and Ocellus are almost at the battlegrounds, all they had to do was cross the log dam to get there. They leaped down the canyon wall and ran across the logs, but while Ocellus was crossing, the logs shifted and she was left hanging from one but quickly climbed up and followed after Dusk. Ocellus hoped things wouldn't get close to the dam. It would be really dangerous if they did.
As the battle proceeded, Flash was climbing up a rock ridge until he looked up to see Pharynx looking down at him with a sneer and glare.
"Where's your handsome son, King Flash Sentry?" Pharynx hissed tauntingly at him.
"Pharynx!" Flash challenged as Pharynx pounced on him but ended up being pinned in a puddle by Flash.
The Mane 5 were still running and screaming with the Outsiders chasing right behind them, ready to finish them off. The Mane 5 ran until they stopped and found themselves at a dead end. Looking back, they realized they've been trapped by the Outsiders as the Alicorns looked at them ferociously with their horns glowing in tense fury, ready to destroy them.
Seeing they are no match for them, Fluttershy turned around and hid her face in fear while Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie, and Rainbow Dash looked around for something in a panic to keep the Outsiders away from them. Rainbow quickly turned to Fluttershy and noticed her long tail is shaped a bit like a whip.
Getting an idea, Rainbow smirked and quickly got onto Fluttershy's back as she grabbed her tail, swirled it around in the air, and moved it like a whip.
"Alright, don't anypony move. This thing is deadly and fast. I'll let you have it!" Rainbow Dash warned, holding Fluttershy's tail without hesitation.
Terrified, the Outsiders screamed like girls and ran off in retreat.
"Well, whaddya know?" Applejack said, amazed that the Outsiders ran off being afraid of Fluttershy's long pink tail.
"Now there's something you don't see every day," Rarity commented in the same tone.
"Yup, talk about your wins of war." Rainbow said, waving Fluttershy's tail in the air with a victorious smile.
