Sorry for the wait, guys. Real life shenanigans happening and some depressing crap going on. Don't wanna get into details about it. For now, we have a case to complete in the live action. So let's go see what happens. (opens a case file)

Disclaimers: I don't own Kamen Rider W or Fuuto PI as they are productions from Toei and Studio Kai, but I do own any OCs that I make.

My name is Minako Sakurada. On my first day in Fuuto, I met my future team. Akiko Narumi: my best friend from childhood and godsister, Shotaro Hidari: my boss who is more of a half-baked detective who tries his damnedest to be hard-boiled, and Phillip: a mysterious boy who has access to the Gaia Library to help us search for the known Gaia Memory in a case. Our first case together was a simple missing persons case... or so we thought. Our missing person turned out to be a Dopant, which the bosses and I battled as Kamen Riders and triumphed against. But before we could celebrate, another Dopant arrived. A T-Rex, for that matter. And now, let us see what happens next.

Shotaro and Phillip screamed as they were tossed into the air by the new Dopant, but they were at least keeping it distracted as Minako helped Yosuke to a small alcove where they'd be safe.

Minako panted slightly as she held her head in slight pain; the helmet helped protect her, but not that much. "Mou! I thought my first case wouldn't be any harder!"

Yosuke looked at her in shock. "First case?! Seriously?!"

Minako was about to explain herself when she saw the T-Rex Dopant burst through the ground again while tossing W in the air. "Watch out!" She pulled Yosuke down as debris flew over them, followed by the RevolGarry jumping over and rescuing the half-and-half Rider from being eaten alive.

The RevolGarry landed on the ground while inside Akiko stumbled forward, grateful the ride was over as she looked at a computer screen and saw W getting down. "So that's Sho-kun and Phillip-kun now? Half-and-half as a Rider... like double trouble almost!"

Outside, Shotaro looked around for the Dopant. "Where'd it go?" He suddenly got thrown back with the RevolGarry as the T-Rex exploded from the ground.

Akiko yelped as she was tossed around inside and caught herself. "Whoa!" She saw the Dopant coming. "Oh CRAP!"

Minako saw the Dopant heading towards the RevolGarry and looked at Yosuke. "Don't move!" She ran out of hiding and fired a Maximum Drive at the Dopant, rushing back into cover quickly and watching it roar in agony before it dove back into the ground.

"Hold it!" Shotaro tried to follow before he stopped and growled. "Damnit! It got away!"

Phillip spoke up as the right eye flashed. "Maybe, but we saved Togawa. That's the important thing."

Minako walked over to them as Yosuke joined them, all four of them looking at the hole as the junior detective remarked to herself: 'Yare yare. This just got a lot more complicated.'

The Search for W/Those Who Make the City Cry

Back at the office, Akiko sounded livid as she shouted, "I didn't hear anything about this!" She looked at Phillip again. "Your conscience going to Sho-kun or however it works and Sho-kun doing the fighting?" She rounded on Shotaro next. "And what is with that Kamen Rider armor? Why two of those Gaia Memories?!"

Fed up with the shouting, Minako got up and went to Akiko, the young detective's face in a furious expression as she grabbed Akiko's ear. "That's enough, Akiko!"

Akiko's eyes widened as she felt the tight grip and made a pained expression. "ITAI! Stop it, Mina-chan! Owowow!" She sighed in relief as she felt the grip being released and rubbed her ear as she looked at her bestie. "Ugh, sheesh. Do you always gotta do that?"

"If it calms everyone down, then yes." Minako said plainly before she heard something on the radio and quickly went over, turning it up for everyone to hear: "... a fisherman has found a body in the wharf."

Someone who looked similar to Yosuke was lying face up and being examined by police as Phillip spoke in the overlay: "Since Togawa is still alive, his accomplice, another Gaia Memory user, must have been furious and took their anger out on a civilian as a result."

Near one of the many windmills, Marina met with Shotaro and started to fall into tears, dropping to her knees as she was comforted by the detective.

Minako watched them from nearby and pursed her lips slightly, still feeling suspicious of Marina as her thoughts started: 'If Marina's crying, then it should be about Togawa's death. But it was another person who was killed just because they looked like him. I don't trust Marina, and until I'm sure, I'm keeping an eye on her. Maybe if I go talk with Yosuke later, I can get some information from him.' She left the area, remembering Shotaro's words from earlier as she walked down the street. ''I won't let people cry in my city.' That does sound like something the boss would say as a detective, but I think that stems further. Considering he and Marina-san have been friends as long as Akiko and I have, he wouldn't believe she's behind any murders or use a Gaia Memory so willy-nilly. I'll have to do this the way Uncle Sokichi would: the old fashioned way.' She put her fedora on and headed down the street, looking extremely calm and focused.

Heading to a cafe, Minako sat down and ordered a green tea and onigiri plate, placing a few bills on the table and as she waited, she noticed a man who was watching a video or taking a photo of a woman in front of him and smiling.

Minako looked around for Shotaro and, seeing no sign of him, looked at the man and smiled. "Beautiful day, isn't it?"

The man looked over and smiled at her. "Sure is. The breezes in the air always lend to the perfect day."

Minako smiled and nodded. "I'm Minako Sakurada. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr...?"

"Watcherman." The man introduced himself. "I'm part of the Fuuto City Irregulars."

She nodded a bit. "One of the boss's informants, huh? Nice." She saw her food arrive and thanked the waitress before she bit into a rice ball, looking at Watcherman. "So, Watcherman. Do you always do favors for Shotaro?"

Watcherman nodded a bit. "Yep. Me and the others of the Irregulars." He looked at her. "I'm sure I can help you with whatever information you need as well."

She nodded a bit and passed over a couple of yen to him, deciding to take a chance. "What can you tell me about Yosuke Togawa and the burned buildings so far?"

After the meal, Minako was watching the reconstruction of a building as she muttered to herself, "So this is the building destroyed last week. Pretty rough work for Togawa, I'd say." She walked around and passed through a door, looking around the area before she heard something slam and looked around, seeing the door was shut as she ran over and pounded on the metal. "Hey! Hello?!" She frowned slightly and muttered, "Crap... locked in." She fell silent as she heard heavy breathing and roaring before looking around and spotting the T-Rex Dopant, only at a more human size this time, charging at her.

"Whoa!" She jumped and rolled over the Dopant, landing and scrambling to her feet quickly as she dodged another attack, pulling out her own odd camera, but with a subtle bronze color to it. "Trying to chase me off the case, huh?" She loaded in a Memory (Owl!) and held out the camera, wings sprouting from it as the flash went off multiple times, blinding the Dopant while the camera left her hand and attacked T. Rex.

"Alright! One more!" Minako pulled out a similar phone to Shotaro's, but with the same bronze color as her Owl Snap, once again loading a different Memory in it as she spoke. "This is on the house!" (Hercules!) She held her hand out and let her phone change into a Hercules beetle gadget as it flew over and struck the Dopant, knocking it back into some water before the Gadgets cut the wires above as Minako looked away from the resulting electric shocks.

She looked over again to see the Dopant was gone, but it had left behind a clue that was quite important to the case, making her frown as she caught her Gadgets, deactivated them, and put them away.

"OI! Rookie! You in here?!" Shotaro's voice rang out, causing Minako to quickly snap out of her cool detective nature and stuff her fedora out of sight as she looked at where he was calling from and waved quickly, calling back: "Over here, Boss!"

Shotaro ran over to her quickly. "You alright? Looks like you had a rough battle."

She nodded a bit. "Yeah, I'm good. Survived an attack from the Dopant when it trapped me here."

He noticed the broken wires and nodded a bit. "Smart thinking, using those to distract it." He looked at the symbol and frowned slightly as he examined it, turning back to her moments later. "We definitely need to talk with Togawa."

Yosuke was waiting for the two at an indoor cafe, frowning nervously as he looked around.

Minako walked in with Shotaro behind her, causing the former Dopant to stand up when he saw them as he went to them. "Glad we can talk here. It's better if there's other people around."

Shotaro nodded. "Yeah. That way that damn dinosaur won't think about attacking innocents."

As they sat down, Minako smiled at Yosuke. "So, Yosuke-san, what can you tell us about where you got your Memory from?"

Yosuke started filling them in on what happened: He and his accomplice had gone to see a Gaia Memory dealer, a young man possibly in his twenties who wore a white scarf with what looked like a red stain on it, but to Minako, it sounded like a scarf that was modeled after Japan's flag and her curiosity was piqued more after hearing the explanation.

Back at the lair, Shotaro requested Phillip to access the Gaia Library.

Akiko watched curiously as she glanced over at the detective. "So what's this 'Library' you keep talking about?"

Minako watched Phillip out of interest as she listened to Shotaro's explanation, the elder detective speaking: "All the knowledge in the world is inside his head. The information we need on our Dopant is in there somewhere."

The blunette blinked slightly as she tilted her head. "I know Aki-chan told me that Phillip didn't know anything about takoyaki. What was that about?" She had heard of Phillip's tangent the previous night and gotten curious.

Shotaro responded to her question in turn. "Well, he may have the knowledge of the world, but that doesn't mean he's read everything in that library."

The girls nodded in understanding and looked on patiently as Phillip requested the keywords for their case.

"Let's start with 'Windscale'." Shotaro told his partner in kind. "The second keyword is 'feather'."

There was a moment of silence before Minako noticed Shotaro getting up and starting to pace, taking it as her clue to say something: "Final Keyword is 'female'." When she got a look from both her boss and her bestie, she shrugged slightly. "I have my suspicions."

Phillip came out of the Gaia Library and went to his whiteboard, writing down a name as he explained, "There's only one person who fits the clues and the criteria for being the T-Rex in question."

Akiko looked in confusion. "It can't be… Marina? Isn't she our client?"

Minako stood up. "True, but Marina used to be a Windscale designer." She got a lot of surprised looks from the others and shrugged nonchalantly. "I looked up as much as I could when Uncle Sokichi told me about the cases he was working on. I know of every building and area in the vicinity, and some of the biggest names who used to work there. Marina was one of the names I came across when I first started my research. She and Togawa used to work together at Windscale, but they both got fired from the place." She started going into her thoughts, pacing around and continuing, "So when they came across this mysterious Memory seller, they gained the powers needed to tear down the first two buildings together, but then Togawa's Memory went out of control and Marina hired us to find him so she could kill him, making up that perfect little sob story to cover her tracks."

Shotaro nodded a bit. "Yeah." He started towards the door of the base when Minako's voice stopped him: "Boss?"

He looked over to see her walking over to him.

"Why don't you let me talk to Marina and see why she did what she did? Maybe I can try and talk some sense into her, girl to girl." The rookie suggested.

Phillip smiled a bit. "That might be the best option we've got. Let someone who Marina doesn't know well speak with her and bring her guard down some. Although a big problem is that the T-Rex Memory has corrupted her, so don't blame me if you become its next meal."

Minako looked over and went to the other edge of the platform. "I'd rather try believing in her than destroy her right away."

Phillip scoffed slightly and turned away. "And already she's as half boiled as you, Shotaro. 'A true hardboiled detective doesn't let their emotions dictate them.' And yet you do."

Shotaro left Minako's side and went at Phillip, punching him in the face.

Minako watched with a slight look of disappointment at her bosses. They were supposed to be partners and yet they were acting like little kids.

Even Akiko had to agree as she went to Phillip's side and glared at Shotaro. "Hey! Was that necessary?!"

Minako crossed her arms. "I'm sure Uncle Sokichi would have taught you better than this, boss." She turned on her heel and walked out of the area, deciding to confront the rogue Marina on her own and equip her Driver to her waist in case it was necessary.

Out near the stadium, Minako activated her Hercules Phone in animal mode and sent it out to go after Marina, who was waiting for Shotaro as if he had asked her to meet her.

The rookie saw Marina pick up the Dopant Memory and slowly stepped out of hiding, tilting her head up and revealing her face under the shadows of her fedora.

Marina looked in surprise. "Sakurada-kun. What are you doing here?"

Minako aimed a finger at the young woman. "I know what's going on, Marina-san. You're the T-Rex Dopant. You assisted in destroying those buildings and tried to kill Yosuke Togawa. My question is why?"

Marina started pacing. "Those clothes were my designs, you know. But one of the directors took all the credit and got me fired. I was consumed by hatred for him. I never wanted this to happen. I just wanted to create clothing for Fuuto City, the city I love!" She ran over and hugged the young detective, crying as tears ran down her face. "Please! Please don't call the cops on me! I… I just…"

Minako gently patted her back and nodded. "I understand, but you can't take your revenge this way." She looked at the woman in front of her, giving her a sympathetic expression. "There are other ways to do a better thing. You could start your own fashion line and maybe make way more than Windscale ever could."

Marina smiled at her and nodded. "Yeah. I should have thought of that in the beginning."

Minako nodded and slowly took her hand. "Marina… you have to get rid of your Memory. Shotaro wouldn't want you to be incarcerated and neither would I, but… if you keep causing havoc…" She paused when she heard gravel crunching and looked towards the railing edge, her eyes widening in shock. "Nandatte?"

Marina looked over as well and saw a platoon of cars down below. "What..?"

Minako blinked in surprise. "Okay… I didn't even call the cops." She looked around and spotted a familiar fedora. "Boss… what does he think he's doing?" 'Doesn't he know I can handle this myself?' Then a realization hit her as she remembered his words: ''This is my city and I won't forgive those who make it cry.' He knows Marina made everyone cry.'

Marina looked down before she started chuckling and stepped back. "I thought he was only pretending to be a hardboiled detective. Turns out he's just cruel and heartless, right?" She smirked at Minako.

Minako grabbed the Skull Memory from her pocket and held it in her hand, hiding it from Shotaro's sight. "Don't make me fight you, Marina. Smash that Memory while you still can."

Marina looked at her and wiggled the Memory cutely while activating it. (T-Rex!) She revealed a Living Connector on her left shoulder. "You were pretty foolish to come out and face me without your Rider friend for backup." She plugged the Memory into the connector.

Minako's eyes widened and she shielded herself from the blast, sliding back and watching as Marina changed into the T-Rex Dopant and roared before jumping down and attacking the cars, slowly looking up. "Man… so strong…"

"Rookie!" Shotaro ran over to her. "You alright?!"

Minako looked at him and nodded before noticing she was still wearing her fedora, quickly taking it off. "Long story, boss."

"Explain it later. Right now, we've got a Dopant to get away from." He reassured her before dashing into hiding quickly, Minako hot on his heels.

The duo quickly got down and shielded themselves from falling rubble before getting up and bolting away from the T-Rex as it sent the stadium debris falling in their path and blocking their exit. Trapped between a rock and a hard place, they looked around as Marina advanced on them slowly, speaking to Shotaro: "I love you, my dear Sho. Which is why… I'm gonna eat you!"

Minako quickly pushed Shotaro out of the way of the charging T-Rex and revealed her gear. "Not while I'm around." She held her Memory up and clicked it. (Skull!) "Henshin!" She inserted the Memory inside the Lost Driver and pushed it down. (Skull!) Her armor appeared on her within seconds before she put her fedora on and shot some rounds from the Skull Magnum, forcing Marina back.

Shotaro got back up before he looked over and saw the black armored woman, thankfully not recognizing the girl underneath. "Skull!"

Skull turned to him and helped him up. "You alright, Detective Hidari?"

He nodded and looked around for Minako. "Where's the rookie?"

"She's safe in another area." Skull reassured him before she saw some debris falling towards them. "Watch out!" She shielded him with her body, intent on protecting him like she had done with Yosuke, when suddenly the RevolGarry appeared above them and knocked the rubble back at Marina before it landed, opening the front and letting Phillip jump out of the cockpit.

"About time you arrived to give us a hand." She smirked slightly under her helmet.

Phillip shrugged. "Well, I honestly can't really figure out why Shotaro punched me, so…" He held out his hand to help the detective up.

Shotaro smirked at the young boy and accepted his partner's hand as he got up and said, "How about you lend me your power… partner?" He put the W Driver on, allowing Phillip's own Driver to appear.

Minako stepped forward and looked at the two. "Better change now, boys. It's gonna be a rough one."

Akiko jumped out of the cockpit and ran over. "I got Phillip!"

Marina glared at the group. "You… who the hell are you?!"

"We're a two in one detective, with an ally in our hardheaded companion." Phillip smirked as he looked at Marina, both he and Shotaro holding up and activating their Memories. (Cyclone!/Joker!) Together they created a W shape with their arms. "Henshin!"

Phillip plugged his side in first before Shotaro pushed it into his Driver and locked his own in, pushing the Driver open. (Cyclone! Joker!)

Akiko grabbed Phillip and wrapped his arm around her shoulder, moving him aside as the ever so familiar green and black armor appeared around Shotaro.

Together with Skull, the three spoke in unison: "Now, count up your sins!"

Marina roared and charged at them, but both Riders were ready, the duo flipping over it and attacking the T-Rex, Minako using impressive martial artistry.

Akiko carried Phillip's body piggyback style out of the area and made it to a shady spot near a building, peeking out of hiding to watch the action.

The heroes got ready for whatever was next, but the Dopant surprised them by gathering debris around them and turning into a mechanical organic hybrid of a T-Rex skeleton.

"That's huge!!" Minako gasped in shock.

Akiko gasped slightly. "No way! I never heard about this!"

The gigantic T-Rex rammed into W and sent them into a wall.

Minako looked at the gigantic T-Rex and quickly jumped on to some rubble, using them as platforms to jump on to the T-Rex Dopant and grab on tightly to its collarbone. "Gotcha!" She held on as it started to buck her like a bronco. "Whoa, whoa!"

Shotaro looked up and saw her. "Hang on!"

Phillip came up with a plan quickly. "Let's switch my Memory out!"

"Good thinking! Hope it can handle the heat!" Shotaro agreed, activating a red Memory. (Heat!) He pulled the Driver together and took out Cyclone, swapping Heat in before pushing the sides out once more. (Heat! Joker!) The right side of W changed to a more scarlet color before Shotaro charged forward and started delivering punches to the massive opponent.

Minako grabbed her Skull Magnum and shot the T-Rex at the same time, losing her grip and falling down before her ankle got caught on a wire. "Oh crap!" She tried to pull herself up, only to have to hold on as the Dopant ran off, plowing into traffic as the dark Rider shouted at the civilians. "Watch out! Move it! Move! Get outta the way!"

She tried pulling herself up again and made it successfully, just in time to see the two in one Rider following them on the HardBoilder as she nodded to them and continued holding on, dodging the debris that the Dopant was knocking around and spotting the RevolGarry following from behind as well with Akiko riding atop of it.

Suddenly, Minako felt herself getting jolted back into holding on via the wire again and yelped. "Now what?!" She looked down and saw that they were going up the side of a building. 'Oh crap. I think I might lose my lunch.'

Akiko gasped in fright. "Sho-kun! Phillip-kun! Do something!"

Shotaro grabbed his Stag Phone. "I know, I know!" He pressed a few buttons and opened the RevolGarry, backing the HardBoilder inside and letting the green backside switch out for the red end, that end being the Turbuler and switching the bike to the HardTurbuler. "Alright! Here we go!" Now prepped for a fight, W took off into the sky, flying around the T-Rex and blasting it while evading its attacks.

Minako held on as best as possible while forcing herself not to puke. "You guys better hurry! I don't think I can hold on much longer!"

Shotaro responded in kind by activating a silver Memory and swapping it in. (Heat! Metal!) As a result, W became red and silver and gained a staff weapon called the Metal Shaft. "We've got your back!"

"Time for a Memory Break!" Phillip told Shotaro quickly.

"Right!" Shotaro loaded the Metal Memory into the Shaft. (Metal! Maximum Drive!) A large flame ignited on one end of the Shaft before together, he and Phillip shouted: "Metal Branding!" They flew past the rubble and struck the Dopant head on, making it explode.

Minako yelped as she fell towards the ground head first, seeing Marina falling beside her and quickly refocusing to get herself in a proper position to catch the falling girl, hanging on to her as Phillip assisted by switching W back to Cyclone Joker and using a tornado to catch both of them and set them down gently, the armored woman watching as the T-Rex Memory was ejected from Marina and broken upon ejection, clattering to the ground as she sighed in relief. "Thank God."

'And so Marina was arrested for her crimes, Yosuke getting a reduced sentence in return for his services to the case.' Minako scribbled in her notebook as she sat on the couch within the office, out of her armor and making a slight face as she continued writing, 'But I suppose this is how it is in Fuuto. It shouldn't have to be this way, but the bosses and I will change this city to happiness, whatever the cost.'

Phillip was watching her write and smiling a bit. "You've got good handwriting, Minako. Definitely an author in the making."

Minako chuckled and smiled. "Aw, shucks."

"I'm back!" Akiko came into the office.

The blunette looked up and smiled. "Okaeri, Akiko."

"I fixed up the sign!" The young Narumi girl showed off the new sign for the front. "Tada!"

Minako peeked over. "Narumi Detective Agency. Chief: Akiko Narumi?"

Shotaro didn't seem happy at all. "YOU'RE the chief?!"

"That's unexpected." Phillip agreed.

Akiko turned and walked towards the door again. "Together the four of us will solve crimes in a half-boiled way!"

Shotaro charged out after her as Phillip followed behind, the former shouting: "Hard boiled! Hard boiled!! Don't you get it?!"

Minako chuckled slightly and smiled as she shook her head and wrote down in her notebook: 'One thing's for certain: If life is about to get stranger around here, I'd gladly accept the adventure.' She closed her notebook as the screen closes us viewers out with the W Memories forming a hexagonal screen.

Next time on W: A Case of Detectives!

Minako: So this Million Colloseo Casino truly exists.

Akiko: It wants people to gamble their lives away, even if there's nothing left to lose.

Phillip: My… family?

Shotaro: What's wrong, Phillip?!

Minako: This might be my first solo case…

This clinches it!

Wow, this took way too long to do, but it was worth finishing up. Next case involves the Money Dopant, so stick around!
