Lancex soon found his mates Evac and Scourge. He smiled as he headed for them. Scourge and Evac stopped talking as Lancex approached, as they didn't want to let Lancex know that they had been trying to decide where to live. They embraced their third mate as he approached. "Did I miss something?" Lancex asked, a little wary that they had stopped talking as he approached.
Both looked at each other before Evac answered. "We were discussing where we wanted to live as a family. I was thinking earth with frequent visits to Jungle planet" Evac replied.
Lancex nodded and then looked to Scourge. "I.. I wanted to stay here, but then, Evac reminded me of your other family… your brother… and so for your sake and his, I agreed with Evac that we would live on earth and visit here frequently" Scourge added, hoping Lancex would be pleased. Both Evac and Scourge revealed now that they knew Optimus was important to Lancex as family.
Lancex thought about it. Optimus had planned to remain on earth and Lancex had promised to be a better brother and not leave his brother behind yet again. And the fact that his own mates had taken this into account made Lancex feel better and made Lancex smile. "Thank you, my loves. Thank you for not only taking our family into account, but also my other family. This has made me so happy, and I hope Optimus feels much the same way. In fact, I received a comm from him and he would like me to return to earth as soon as I can" Lancex revealed, unaware that Optimus hadn't been thrilled about the way Lancex had just left earth to head to who knew where.
"Well, then I think we should head back and try to talk to Optimus about all of this" Evac said, "as we all know he doesn't like secrets that involve him and his family."
"Agreed" Lancex replied, hoping his younger brother would be happy with all that had occurred. "Hopefully he will be happy to see us as a family unit, the three of us." They all nodded and soon they said good bye to a few bots on Jungle Planet and headed back to earth. They had no idea that since Optimus felt he had been tricked about Lancex "disappearing" that Optimus would not be the most welcoming bot towards them. They would learn soon enough.
