Yui's Day - In Saiki Household
Not only does Yuki's maternity leave to attend work for her family's needs, but Yuki herself was invited to an outing by some of her classmates, and taking her little sister out wasn't optional especially since Yui often experiences anxiety around new people, the homework she has to do, and the possibility of Yui's powers showing out of nowhere.
Hence, she thinks of an alternative way and the house across the street was the answer to her prayers...
"Hey, Yui. Would you like to see Ms. Saiki again?" Yuki inquired as he peeks into the living room,
"Can I?" Yui inquired,
"Sure, and when I come back to pick you up. I'll bring home a gift for you," Yuki said, "Are you okay with that?"
"Sure! I always wanted to see Ms. Saiki again," Yui said,
"Great, now let's gather your things," Yuki declared and helped her sister with her belongings,
Once everything was packed into Yui's back, the latter slings her bag onto her shoulders and Yuki walks her right across the Saiki's Household.
Upon arriving at Saiki's door, Yuki pushes the doorbell a few times and waited for someone to answer.
A while later, the first person to open the door was Kurumi Saiki, who proceeds to open the door wide open.
"Yuki-chan!" Kurumi heartfully greeted,
"Hello, Mrs. Saiki," Yuki greeted, "I hope I wasn't bothering you with anything urgent as of late,"
"Oh, not at all, Dear. In fact, you are welcome here whenever you want," Kurumi assured, then turns to Yui, "And it's good to see you as well, Yui-chan,"
"Hello, Mrs. Saiki," Yui greeted,
"So, what brings you here today?" Kurumi inquired,
"Well, I was wondering if you could watch over Yui for the afternoon," Yuki requested, "I was invited to an outing with my friends and I was hoping that you could watch her,"
"Is that all?" Kurumi inquired,
"Yes, if you don't mind," Yuki replied,
"Then you can count on me," Kurumi agreed, "I would do anything for my Senpai especially when it comes to her cute children,"
"Thank you, Mrs. Saiki," Yuki thanked, then she bends down to Yui's level, "Now listen closely, Yui. You behave while you're here, okay?"
"I will," Yui replied,
Yuki giggles then kiss Yui's forehead and ruffle her hair a bit as she straightens herself up, "Say hello to Saiki for me,"
"I will," Kurumi said,
As Yuki walks away, Yui waves her hand at her, "Take care, Nee-chan!"
"Come on, Yui-chan. Let's go inside," Kurumi said,
"Umu~!" Yui replied and escorted into the house,
Living Room
As soon as Yui sets her backpack in the living room, she jumps onto the couch and pulled out her homework while Kurumi goes to her, "Is there anything you'd like to eat today?"
"I'm fine with anything, Mrs. Saiki," Yui responded,
"Alright," Kurumi said, and went to the kitchen to prepare some food for her,
But as Yui waits, she pulls out her notebook and goes to do her homework. While she did this, she suddenly hears a gasp from a man in the room and turns to said voice.
The man in question was wearing glasses, a light blue collared button shirt, long jeans, and grey socks. Yui doesn't know who this man is, which causes her to pale a little.
"Who might you be? Someone let you in here?" The man questioned,
Yui couldn't answer as she was taught to not talk to strangers. Though she takes this lesson too seriously especially when she's in someone else's home.
"Oi, Kusuo. Can you come here for a minute?" The man called out, which causes Yui to flinch due to his loud voice,
Saiki walks down the steps looking irritated, then turns to the living room to see Yui sitting on the couch.
"Do you know something about her? Surely you didn't take off the streets," The man inquired,
Saiki frowns at him, and the man looked surprised, "Eh? You didn't? Then I'm sure Kurumi didn't take someone off the street,"
Saiki frowns a bit deeper, though looking at his expression was enough to cause Yui to be frightened by Saiki as well.
"Of course she wouldn't, she isn't that kind of person after all..." The man said, then a particular assumption struck him like lightning, "DON'T TELL ME I LET HER IN HERE BY MISTAKE!?"
Yui was now frightened at this point, but Kurumi soon came to her rescue as she brought a small bowl of soup and a glass of water, "What's going here?"
This snaps Yui out of her frightened state, jumps off of the couch, and ran towards Kurumi. She then hid her face against Kurumi's leg and wrapped her arms around her, "Is something wrong, Yui-chan?"
Yui doesn't answer, but she does point her finger at the man next to Saiki. Suddenly, Kurumi turns up to the man, opened her eyes, and looked at him with malicious intent, "Did you do something to her while I wasn't looking?"
Not only did the man try to explain the circumstances, but Saiki also pales at the very sight of his mother.
A couple of minutes later, things seem to have calmed down and sat down in the dining room. but Yui sat rather close to Kurumi and her arms around Kurumi's right arm as she doesn't want to look at the man.
Though Kurumi, after she calmed down, explained the truth of the matter.
"Ah, I see. She's a daughter of your old high school friend, guess I misinterpreted the whole thing," The man said, while Saiki just remained silent, "But anyway, let's start things over,"
The man then turns to Yui, who still keeps her face away from him, "No need to be scared, I'm Kurumi's husband and Kusuo's Father. My name is Saiki Kuniharu,"
Yui slowly turns to him and stares at him with just one eye. Though she would turn away from him a few moments later, much to Kuniharu's shock.
Saiki internally sighs at this, but then recalls that Yui's powers are closely similar to his powers. Therefore, he seemed a bit grateful that it didn't go on a rampage after the fright his father put her through.
"Oh, that reminds me," Kurumi said, "I'll be going out to buy a few things. You wouldn't mind watching Yui-chan here while I'm gone?"
"Sure, Dear. And by the time you come back, Yui and I will get along just fine," Kuniharu said,
Saiki, on the other hand, stood up and planned on going back to his room. But what stopped him was the voice of her mother, "You too, Ku-chan. I wouldn't want your father disturbing Yui too often,"
Saiki seemed dejected at this, but one glare from his mother was enough to convince him otherwise. A couple of minutes later, Kurumi wore casual clothes and departs while Yui watched her leave.
As soon as the door closes, Kuniharu tries to talk to her. Sadly, Yui grabbed her things, ran up the stairs, and closes a door much to Kuniharu's dismay. As for Saiki, he dismisses his father's charade and teleports to his room rather than walk there.
Saiki's Room
Saiki arrives at his room, and internally sighed with his eyes closed, 'Finally, Some peace and quiet,"
But when he turns to his bed, he soon finds his only bed occupied with Yui holding onto her things rather closely.
Saiki was silent at first, but soon responds to the following, 'Why here?'
Yui holds her bag close and blinks at him. Saiki internally sighs to himself, went to his desk, and sat down on his chair. Normally, he'd do his schoolwork and watch television. But circumstances such as this prevent him from doing so...
He could try to use his powers on her, but doing so would lead to something drastic especially when that power of hers. It might destroy some parts of his room, or hurt him without knowing.
In other words, he wouldn't be able to get rid of her so easily...
"U-Um..." Yui tries to get a word but stuttered while keeping her bag closed at all times,
'If you're going to say something, just say it already,' Saiki said with a cold look on his eyes,
Yui seemed timid to say a word, but something else answers for her as the two suddenly hear the window being fogged by unknown means and a message was made for Saiki to read.
"Be Nice To Her..." The Message stated,
'Oh? This is rather interesting...' Saiki remarked, 'If she can't talk, perhaps this spirit of hers will. But how will I...'
"U-Um... I'm really sorry for that..." Yui apologized, "Onee-san told me not to show our superpower... I'm sorry..."
Saiki was a bit irritated with this but understood since she was just a child. What he can't handle is his mother's wraith should he frighten her. As for this discovery, Saiki took advantage of it.
'No need, I already know your power from your sister,' Saiki openly revealed to her,
"You have superpowers too?" Yui inquired,
'Yes, but now that you know. I'd like you to keep quiet since I don't want to be bothered by people you talked to' Saiki requested for the sake of his beloved peace,
"S-Sure, Your secret is safe with me," Yui replied,
Saiki turns to his window and sees one particular expression drawn, " -_-' "
'What's that supposed to mean?" Saiki questioned,
"S-She wants to frighten you," Yui responded, "It's something she likes to do all the time,"
'Really? If so, then I'm afraid she's going to have to try harder than that,' Saiki remarked,
They soon hear the television turning on and off by itself, then the screen gets fogged, and the following was written, "How's that? Not Enough?"
That's when it all began as several things around Saiki's room started to levitate. Such as his television, a couple of books, curtains, and even the mattress with Yui on it.
But what they didn't expect was for Yui's spirit to unintentionally remove one of Saiki's hairpins. This causes him to collapse on his back with a loud thud.
"Eh?!" Yui rushes out of the bed, and checks on Saiki, "A-Are you alright?! H-Hey!"
Saiki remains unresponsive to Yui's pleas, and constant shakes. The latter was starting to feel utterly distressed by these circumstances. But when she turns to her spirit, she sees Saiki's hairpin floating in the air and realized a possible solution to this problem.
"Give that to me," Yui requested and the Saiki's hairpin hovers towards her hands,
She then carefully but gently placed the hairpin back on Saiki's head. A moment later, Saiki internally gasped, sat up from the floor, and his body was slightly trembling. There's also a bit of drool falling from the corner of his mouth,
"U-Um... Are you okay?" Yui asked,
'Wha... What did she do to me?' Saiki questioned,
"I'm really sorry, but it happened when she pulled one of your hairpins," Yui revealed,
'She pulled one of my Limiters? No wonder, but at least it wasn't gone for too long. Otherwise, we'd be facing a doomsday scenario,' Saiki remarked,
"Doomsday, what's that supposed to mean?" Yui inquired,
'I'm glad she's so naive to certain things,' Saiki remarked,
Yui just stared at him for a while, then her spirit suddenly revealed something that Saiki couldn't see. Thus, earning her utmost attention, "You're hurt,"
'Of course, I was hurt, what do you think happened?' Saiki sarcastically said,
Without warning, Yui places her hands on each side of Saiki's head and the latter remained still in this unprecedented scenario. She remains silent by this, and Saiki planned on asking what she was doing.
But that's when it hit him as he could feel his psychic powers and physical condition stabilizing by Yui's supposed power. After the deed was done, Yui suddenly gets exhausted and Saiki instinctively catches her in his arms.
Instead of letting her rest naturally, Saiki decided to use his rewind powers to refresh her original state. A moment later, Yui straighten herself up again, "Sorry, using my power gets me tired at times,"
'Enough with the sorries, I've heard enough of them for one day,' Saika remarked, 'Although, I am impressed with what you can do with your power. It's not every day someone has the capability to heal my condition,'
Yui smiles at that, and Saiki proceeds to help her up. Sadly, they soon run into a bit of a misunderstanding when Saiki's door had burst right open.
"Hey! What is going on in-" Kuniharu was about to finish his question, but stops when he spots Yui in Saiki's arms as well as the drool that remained on one corner of his mouth
Kuniharu's thoughts were being processed all over his mind. But the first thing that came out was something that Saiki didn't want to hear, "Kusuo... You... HAVE YOU GONE INSANE!? I DIDN'T RAISE YOU TO BECOME A *****~!"
Saiki instantly got irritated and used his psychic powers to shut the door and lock it on his side. He sighs internally as he wiped off the drool on his mouth and listened to the sounds of his father pounding and running his mouth off, 'Well that was uncalled for. I don't get the raising part since my mom did all the work. But calling me that was unnecessary,'
"What did he mean by that?" Yui inquired,
'Don't tell your family, or you'll get in trouble for it,' Saiki said,
Yui responds by covering her mouth with both hands and nods a few times.
'As for him... I doubt if I can remove memories of the encounter. Unless I can improvise something, I just might avoid getting an earful from Mom or Yuki, or both,' Saiki deducted, 'I'd better think of something before she comes home'
"Saiki-san," Yui called out and turns towards the television,
When Saiki turns to his television, his eyes twitched when he saw what was written to him.
An Hour Later...
Kurumi returns with plastic bags on both hands and removes her slippers.
"I'm home!" Kurumi called out,
"Kurumi! Something terrible has happened!" Kuniharu yelled in distress,
"Eh?! What happened?! Was it Yui-chan, or Ku-chan?!" Kurumi questioned,
"It's both of them! Come with me, I'll show what has happened!" Kuniharu grabs Kurumi by the wrist and takes her upstairs to Saiki's door.
"Oi! Saiki! Open up!" Kuniharu demanded, "Show your mother what you've done!"
"What do you mean by that?" Kurumi questioned,
Before Kuniharu could answer, they soon hear the door unlock from the other side. The latter firmly holds onto the doorknob, and bursts the door open, "SAIKI!"
"Eh?" Kurumi mouthed as she peeked behind Kuniharu to see Saiki and Yui...
...

...
Playing a round game of Go Fish...?
"Do you have any 6s?" Yui asked,
'You're cheating are you?' Saiki questioned as he gave his 6 Cards to her,
"What's cheating?" Yui asked as she takes them,
'Forget I asked,' Saiki stated,
"Um... Is something going on here?" Kurumi questioned,
"We're playing Go Fish," Yui replied, "Do you have any 9s?"
"Go Fish," Saiki said, and Yui proceeds to draw a card,
"But isn't Yui-chan too young to play cards?" Kurumi inquired,
'It's Go Fish, Mom. I don't plan on playing games that she can't,' Saiki assured, 'Any 8s?'
Yui glances at her hand, then back at Saiki, "Go Fish,"
"I see... Well, I guess I was worried for nothing," Kurumi said as she placed her hand against her cheek, and sighed with relief,
As Saiki puts another card into his hand and lets Yui have her turn...
'You all wonder as to why I'm playing Go Fish with an 8-Year-Old Girl?'
'Well here's a quick summary by yours truly,'
'Yui received an early warning from her spirit and wrote the message on my television screen'
'Then, her spirit improvised a plan to avoid my mother's wraith'
'That was to play Go Fish as I made a quick stop at a toy shop to buy myself a deck of cards, and return here'
'If my mom were to question Yui, she would say that I was helping her with homework. In return, my mom would praise me and drop all suspicion'
'As for my father's absurd claim... That wouldn't be much of a problem'
"Are you serious, Kusuo?! Don't try to deny what you tried to do!" Kuniharu yelled, which makes Yui flinch at his voice,
"Darling, No need to shout. You know how sensitive she is," Kurumi reasoned, "How about I serve you some tea that I'll be making,"
"Tea can wait, what matters is that our son tried to be a *****~!" Kuniharu accused,
"What's that supposed to mean?" Yui inquired,
"Darling," Kurumi called out with a menacing aura glowing around her, which causes Kuniharu, Saiki, and Yui to shiver in fear, "Just what are you trying to imply here?"
"Eh? Um... Uh..." Kuniharu stuttered, but the sight of his wife's unwavering smile and malicious aura was sending chills down his spine,
"I think we should discuss a few things first before we return to this discussion, right?" Kurumi calmly suggested,
Kuniharu turns up to Saiki for help. Sadly, he had turned his head away as he didn't want to get involved with her mother's wrath. Yui does the same, but the reason is that she doesn't want to see Kurumi being scary.
Kurumi then takes her husband by the wrist, "Right, I'll be talking to your father for a while. So have fun..."
Kurumi then closes the door, and the remaining occupants in the room were still frightened that their hands were trembling.
"M-Mrs. Saiki can really be scary at times, right?" Yui inquired,
'She does...' Saiki agreed,
Results: Kusuo and Yui wins against Kuniharu Saiki
Side Note: Yui learns and fears Kurumi's Wrath...
That is it for the chapter, everybody! But before you all go, some of you may wonder what "****~" is.
Sadly, I won't tell you. So let your imagination run wild with this one.
And lastly, I'll be doing more of these 'Results' Gags as I'm a big fan of Love is War and I find them funny my mind.
