* bird squawking *

The waves of the ocean that surrounded Isla Nublar were calmly waving about at this time of the morning. It's been roughly five months since the incident with Mitch and Tiff, with the camper's mostly getting over the stress and trauma that came with that whole ordeal, and it's been roughly three months since Yasmina and Cass had gotten together. Speaking of the campers…

* Sammy laughing *

All seven campers were currently on a raft that they had made from various resources that they had found and gathered on the island and were now floating their way into the open water. Kenji and Sammy knelt at the back of the raft as the teens splashed each other with sea water while laughing and enjoying their time off of the island. Cass and Yaz were sitting right next to each other with the girl leaning on her boyfriend and holding onto his arm. Brooklynn was going around tightening some vines that were holding down their supplies while Darius and Ben were standing at the mast and sail that they had made.

"Goodbye, Jurassic World." Darius said to himself.

Soon the campers saw a very familiar-looking Ankylosaurus run out from the trees and onto the beach before stopping in front of the ocean water, letting out bellows and whines as she called out to her lifelong parental figure.

"Goodbye, Bumpy." Ben sadly said as he looked at the dinosaur in the distance. Darius put his hand on the saddened teen's shoulder and tried to offer some silent comfort, but they were soon interrupted.

"See ya never, stupid Dino Island!" Kenji yelled with a laugh as he stood up and cheered. "You thought you could eat us? No way! You thought you could stomp on us? Think again!"

"Yeah!" Sammy shouted as she joined Kenji in taunting Mother Nature. "You thought you could crush our spirits? Impossible!"

"Yeah!" Kenji agreed before the two knuckle-headed teens did a secret handshake between them.

"To be fair, the island did crush my spirit." Ben told them. "But then I defeated Toro."

"Ugh, not again." Yasmina groaned out and rolled her eyes as she was tired of hearing the same old story time and time again from him.

"Well, Bumpy likes it when I tell it." Ben said as he turned to Darius.

"I feel like they're forgetting that my entire right arm is proof that the island almost did eat us?" Cass mumbled to his girlfriend who nodded in agreement.

But soon they all let out yelps or grunts of shock as their raft suddenly jolted due to some ruff waves passing under them.

"Um… guys?" Brooklynn called out as she looked off into the distance, and once she gathered everyone's attention they all saw a massive wave building up and coming toward them. "Everyone, secure the vines!" She told them.

Everyone scrambled to get up off the raft as some of the had fallen over before all of them looked for vines that needed to be secured.

"How?" Yaz asked as literally no one else even remotely knew anything about rafts except for Brooklynn.

"I don't know. Pull on them?" Was the pink-haired girl's answer.

"You said you had raft experience!" Yaz called her out.

"I said some raft experience. Some!" Brooklynn said as she tried to defend herself.

"Oh! So only some of us will die." Yasmina sarcastically told her.

"The wind's strong. We can just power through." Brooklynn told them right before their sail was ripped from its mast by the strong winds and shit binding job.

"You were saying?" Cass said with a deadpan voice and look on his face as he and Yaz stared at Brooklynn.

Soon the wave had gotten too big for them to possibly push through it, with all the younger campers screaming out in fear at the towering wave, Cass merely just let out a sigh and accepted his fate.

* wave crashing *

The sky was now a shade of gray, with life on the island being the same as always. Pteranodons were screeching as they flew overhead, Stegosauruses and Parasaurolophus were bellowing and letting out small growls as they fed on the low foliage, and Brachiosaurus traveled in their herds as they looked way above the treetops.

This is what the members of Camp Cretaceous had gotten used to for the past half year that they had been stranded on Isla Nublar, and this is what they were seeing once more as they had been walking through the jungle from the beach after they had ended up on the shore.

Cass and Yasmina were leading the group back to camp, followed by Kenji, Brooklynn, Darius, Sammy, and Ben. With all of them being soaking wet from the ocean's attempt to kill them.

"So, kids, what did we learn?" Cass asked as he ran his hands through his hair before putting them behind his head.

"To not tempt Mother Nature." Kenji and Sammy said together as they tried to get the water out of their ears.

"Exactly. Mother Nature is a scary bitch, and she will kill us given the opportunity." He told them half jokingly and half seriously. "So let's try not to challenge her in any way, yeah?"

The two campers gave him affirmatives in the form of hums and nods. Yaz cast a glance back at Brooklynn from the corner of her eye, as she was currently the one she was blaming for their not dryness at the moment, as well as the failed attempt at getting them off the island, and Brooklynn could only just accept it as it was somewhat her fault.

"Bumpy? Bumpy, we're back!" Ben called out to his pet/child that was an Ankylosaurus. "Bumpy?" The teen let out a sigh as there wasn't a verbal response from said dinosaur. But soon Bumpy came stomping from behind the group, rustling against the bushes and leaves, catching Ben's attention.

"Bumpy?" He asked before getting knocked to the ground and getting nuzzled by the large herbivore, laughing as she groaned at him. "Sorry, Bumps. Missed you too." Ben told her as he pet Bumpy's head.

"Circle up, guys! Camp meeting!" Darius called out to everyone from the main platform of camp.

"Ugh… Another one?" Kenji complained as he watched Cass let the girls up the ladder before him, while the Asian teen didn't feel like waiting and just decided to scoot up the slide backward in order to get up to camp.

Ben grabbed onto Bumpy's face and spoke gently to her. "Don't worry. I'll be right back." He got up off the ground before heading toward camp himself, with Bumpy letting out a small growl.

"Okay, on the plus side, still no sign of Compies around camp, so that's good." Darius told them as he stood in front of their chalkboard. "On the minus side, raft escape attempt number one was…"

"Wet." Kenji said from the couch.

"Bad?" Yaz said from her seat at the table.

"Didn't work." Brooklynn said from the couch.

"Fucking shit?" Cass told him as he stood behind Yaz.

Darius looked at them in silence for a brief moment. "It wasn't a total disaster."

"Um, we lost the raft and almost drowned. How is that not a disaster?" Sammy asked him from her seat at the table.

"We didn't get eaten by dinosaurs?" Darius tried to come up with a positive for their current situation.

"Darius, we're out of options." Brooklynn told him as she got up and walked over to the chalkboard. "We tried kayaks, gyrospheres, more gyrospheres, Yaz's bad "find a helicopter and learn to fly it ourselves" plan…" She listed off and crossed out the representing drawings for each plan.

"Oh, and what about Brooklynn's worse "let's go back into the tunnels and look for a phone" idea?" Yasmina said as she got up and took the chalk from the pink-haired girl and crossed out the drawing before raising her eyebrow in questioning as she offered the chalk back.

Brooklynn could only sigh as she took the chalk back, even though she knew that wasn't a good plan. "Ugh. Think! What haven't we tried yet?"

"Just gonna pitch it one more time…" Kenji spoke as he slid over onto the couch closer to the three.

"We're not building a human catapult." Yaz told him once again as they've had to shut down his plan time and time again.

"How do we know it can't be done if we never tried?" Kenji asked but no one knew if it was sarcasm or just stupidity.

"How about we go to the cliffs and I push you down into the river that's 200+ feet below, and if you survive that, then we'll build your catapult?" Cass offered him as he leaned against the chair that Yaz was previously sitting in.

"I think your idea sounds fun at least." Sammy whispered to Kenji.

"Thanks, Sammy. And I always appreciate your optimism." Kenji told her.

"Aw, thanks, Kenji." Sammy said as she playfully punched him in the arm before they both started laughing.

Cass just sighed to himself. "Please don't encourage his stupidity." He mostly said to himself.

"I hear you, but I still think a boat is the way to go. All we need is a better sail." Darius told them as it was the only plan that actually even got anywhere.

"Not to be a downer, but it took us weeks to find enough usable fabric for the last one." Yaz said to him.

"And even if we do find a sail, what's gonna save us from another killer wave?" Brooklynn added on.

"There's gotta be a fix. Every problem always has a fix. Ben, what do you think?" Darius said before turning around and asking said teen as he was quiet through the whole discussion. "Ben?" He repeated as he didn't get an answer. "Ben!" Once again he called out but was unintentionally ignored as the teen was staring off at Bumpy.

"Yo, jungle boy!" Kenji exclaimed as he slammed his arms on the table to catch his attention.

"Huh?" Ben quickly whipped around.

"What do you think?" Kenji asked.

"Uh… yeah, what you said." Ben answered as he wasn't paying too much attention.

"Really? You think a human catapult is the best idea?" Yaz asked him as she and everyone else looked at him in question as if he had lost his mind.

"Oh! No. That's ridiculous." Ben denied the idea. "Darius is right, a raft is the way to go."

"Thank you!" Darius said as he turned back to look at Brooklynn and Yaz.

"Fine. Since there are no other options, raft it is." Brooklynn finalized the group plan.

"Awesome!" Darius said as he gave two thumbs up. "So, where can we scavenge a sail that we haven't already looked?"

"Well, seeing as how none of you can seem to remember where Mitch and Tiff's camp is, that leaves only two other places that I can think of. Main Street and Lookout Point." Cass told them as he spun the chair around and sat in it.

"You know about Lookout Point?" Kenji asked the older teen. "It's a shame we can go there and just… hang glide all the way to Costa Rica. That would be so dope."

"Wait, what's Lookout Point?" Darius asked as this is the first time either of the oldest boys have mentioned it.

"It's up in the mountains to the west. It's like a whole deal. They've got hang gliders and everything." Kenji roughly explained it to him. "I used to go there all the time."

"Hang gliders! As in pieces of material that are literally designed to catch the wind?" Darius asked.

"That is what a hang glider is, yes." Cass told him.

Darius, Brooklynn, and Yaz all began laughing and cheering as they finally had something that'd make an amazing sail.

"Hey! We could use that as a sail!" Kenji exclaimed as he finally caught up to what the others had already figured out.

"Good idea, Kenji!" Darius said before the trio once again began to laugh.

AT LOOKOUT POINT

"Welcome to Lookout Point!" Kenji exclaimed as he was the one who led them there.

"What he mean's to say is, welcome to the access point of Lookout Point. Lookout Point is the big ass mountain further up ahead." Cass told them as they stood in front of the stairs that led to the platform that connected the sky gondolas.

"So how do we get up there?" Darius asked as he looked at the mountain while keeping the sun out of his eyes.

"The sky gondola, usually. But with the power out, you'll have to go on foot. It shouldn't be too bad." Kenji explained. "Probs just a one-to-five-day trek."

"Pfft, That'll take me and Cass an hour." Yaz said as she began stretching.

"Actually…" The eldest teen trailed off as he gestured toward Brooklynn who was up on the platform.

"I'll wait for you at the top." The pink-haired girl said as she pushed the power button for the sky gondola unit, activating the entire machine. "Ta-da!"

"Solar panels. Sky gondola." Kenji said as he had completely forgotten about that bit of information, causing Yaz to cross her arms and side-eye the teen.

"Which I was going to tell you about, but it seems she had beaten me to it." Cass told them. "Now let's go."

"Last one there's the last one there!" Kenji exclaimed before rushing off toward the gondola.

"I call shotgun!" Sammy yelled out as she too began rushing toward the gondola.

The two joyful teens rushed into the first gondola that was available right before its doors closed, with them both making L's out of their hands and sticking out their tongues like the hyperactive children they were.

Cass and Yaz walked up to the platform together and stood next to Brooklynn as they all were waiting for the next gondola cable car to come down.

"Brooklynn." Yaz said in an awkward and almost uncomfortable sort of way.

"I guess we're all gonna ride together." Brooklynn said in an almost equal awkward and uncomfortable tone.

"Yep." Yaz said while taking a step closer to Cass before both girls gave each other strained and awkward smiles.

Cass merely stood there as he let the girls do their thing. He figured it was just life being life for two teenage girls, puberty, a bunch of hormones, different opinions, the stress of a failed escape attempt, and being back on Isla Nublar… the list could go on. But he told himself that he wasn't going to step in unless he absolutely had to. They needed to figure out what was going on themselves.

* door hissing *

The next gondola cable car stopped right in front of them and slowly opened its doors for the campers.

"After you." Yasmina said as she gestured to the cable car.

"No, no, no. Really, after you." Brooklynn counteroffered as she too gestured to the cable car.

"Thanks." Yaz said as Cass just decided to step forward into the cable car, and by default, bring both of the girls with him. Cass and Yaz sitting right next to each other on one side with Brooklynn sitting across from them on the other side.

"Guess it's you and me, Ben." Darius said as he watched the others leave before turning around to said boy.

"Actually, you go ahead without me. I'm gonna stay behind with Bumpy." Ben said as he thumbed in the direction of his Ankylosaur.

"Uh… are you sure?" Darius asked.

"Go ahead. I'm fine." Ben said as he tried to wave off any worry before heading back down the stairs and going over to Bumpy and greeting her and getting a greeting back.

Darius looked back at the rotating gondola cable cars before pulling out the walkie-talkie in his back pocket. "Kenji? You guys get the hang glider without me. I think something's bothering Ben."

"What?" Kenji yelled through the walkie-talkie while Sammy laughed in the background.

"I think something's bothering Ben!" Darius whispered into it so Ben wouldn't hear.

"What?" Once again Kenji responded with.

"You know what?" Darius swapped the channels. "Cass."

"What's up, D?" Cass asked.

"I think something is bothering Ben, so I'm gonna stay behind and check up on him." Darius explained.

"Go for it, I've got everything covered up here." His co-leader told him.

"Appreciate it." Darius said while shutting off the handheld radio and jogging down the stairs before throwing his arm around Ben's shoulder.

"Oh, I thought you were going up." Ben said as he looked at the slightly shorter teen.

"Nah, they got it covered." Darius told him.

IN THE SKY GONDOLAS

Kenji and Sammy were screaming as their gondola cable car rocked back and forth on the cable. But that soon turned into laughter with screams here and there as they themselves were the ones rocking the gondola cable car back in forth. Soon they both sat back down and laughed a bit more.

"Kenji, I gotta say, you're one of my favorite people to hang out with." Sammy told him honestly as she couldn't really have this sort of brainless fun with anyone else at camp.

"Uh, thank you." Kenji said as he genuinely didn't know what else to say.

"Right up there with Yaz, Brooklynn, Cass, Darius, and Ben." She said with a chuckle.

"So… top six?" Kenji asked.

"Uh-huh!" Sammy confirmed.

"Sweet!" He exclaimed before once again going back to rocking the gondola cable car back and forth with the Texan girl joining him while they both laughed.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

The sky gondola cable car that had Brooklynn, Cass, and Yasmina was fairly quiet. But not due to a comfortable silence, but more so to do with the awkwardness between the two girls as they would occasionally cast glances to each other but would mostly try to avoid eye contact.

Cass on the other hand had decided to close his eyes and try to get a few minutes of rest before they got to the top, not that he particularly cared about sleep anymore, as shown by his obvious lack of it, but Yaz had made him promise that while they are together and they're in a safe-ish environment, he would need to try to get some rest or sleep while she would watch over him and wake him up should she or the others need him for anything. And so far, it's been working.

There were a few more moments of silence between the two girls before Yaz turned around due to the sound of Kenji and Sammy's laughing as well as their cable car creaking as it rocked back in forth. She turned back around before awkwardly patting her arms as they were crossed, with Brooklynn almost simultaneously beginning to pat her legs in equal awkwardness.

Yasmina cleared her throat before leaning back and resting her arms on top of the seats. "So…" She cleared her throat once more as she prompted Brooklynn to start a conversation.

"So…" Brooklynn took a pause in between as she didn't actually know what to say. "What do you like to do for fun back home?" This would have to do though.

Yaz let out a sigh. "I don't have a lot of time for fun. I'm always competing or training." She told her. 'Hopefully, that'll change since you're with me…' Yaz thought to herself as she glanced at her boyfriend.

"Right, right. Totally relate." Brooklynn responded.

"Oh, you know what it's like to spend five hours in the gym every day?" Yaz sarcastically and challengingly asked.

"I wish my job only took five hours a day!" Was the wrong thing for Brooklynn to respond with.

"Yeah, I'm sure it's really hard to get paid to go to cool places and record videos on your smartphone." Yaz rhetorically said.

"As a matter of fact, it is." Brooklynn told her. "Ever tried to hold your phone steady while climbing a glacier in Greenland?"

"No! I was too busy running four-and-a-half-minute miles." Yaz said back.

"Well, you should try it sometime. It's especially fun when you're trying to appease sponsors and…" Brooklynn was saying.

"Been there." Yaz responded.

"…sacrificing a normal childhood just to maintain good numbers." the pink-haired girl continued.

"Yep. Same here." Yasmina told her.

"Wow!" Brooklynn said before taking a pause. "We just have so much in common."

"So… nice." Yaz said sarcastically.

And once again the cable car went quiet but instead of awkward silence, this silence was the aftermath of an argument, and the only thing that was making noise up to Lookout Point, was Kenji and Sammy's cable car.

WITH BEN, BUMPY, AND DARIUS

Ben placed down a pile of palm leaves and sticks next to Bumpy who was currently snacking on a bush, before walking off to fetch something else. Darius followed right behind him before picking up one of the leaves.

"So, Ben, how's it going?" Darius asked.

"Fine. Just making a Bumpy sled so she can carry the hang glider. Might as well be useful since we're down here." Ben answered him.

"Ah, a Bumpy sled. Of course!" Darius agreed even though he had no fucking clue what that was until now. He followed after Ben toward a nearby hedge. "Besides the Bumpy sled, how's it going? Like, going-going?" D asked while leaning a bit toward his fellow camper.

Ben narrowed his eyes. "Wait. Why are you asking me how I'm doing? Did Kenji put you up to this?" The teen suddenly stood up. "Kenji, if you're pranking me, oh, you're gonna regret it." He spoke loudly before swinging a stick into a bush like a bat.

"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! No. No one's pranking you. Kenji just went up on the gondola." Darius told him. "Jeez. Aggressive."

"Totally." Ben agreed.

"Look, I just thought something was bothering you earlier and I wanted to check on you." Darius explained.

Ben let out a sigh before picking up what he needed. "It's nothing."

"You sure?" Darius asked as he watched Ben place the things next to Bumpy.

"I'll be fine." The jungle-molded teen told him.

Darius let out a gasp before pointing at him. "There it is."

"What?" Ben asked as he didn't know what he was on about.

"You said you'll be fine, which means you're not fine right now." Darius said to him.

* leaves rustling *

"Wait." Darius said before being immediately shushed by Ben.

"Did you hear that?" Ben asked in a whisper as he looked into the jungle, but nothing moved or made a sound. He slowly reached down and grabbed the leaves and sticks that he had gathered. "We should move on just to be safe."

"Okay, and then you'll tell me what's wrong." Darius whispered back to him before getting shushed again.

Both campers and the Ankylosaur all walked away as slowly and quietly as they could to get away from whatever was possibly in the jungle near them.

A Ceratosaurus was stalking the jungle where the teens were, looking at them from the darkened and naturally foggy parts of its surroundings, but the medium-sized carnivore didn't get the chance to do anything, before it was suddenly attacked and had its throat ripped out by another dinosaur.

The only thing that could be used to identify its attacker, was its sharp yet hollow growl and roar that almost sounded like screaming.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

AT LOOKOUT POINT

The cable car that Kenji and Sammy had taken finally arrived at the top of Lookout Point, and with a hiss, the doors opened up allowing the two teens to rush out of the car and onto the platform. Both of them soon went over toward the edge and leaned against the railing as they looked out at the island below them, as well as the ocean.

"Pretty cool, right?" Kenji asked the girl to his right.

But soon enough, Brooklynn, Cass, and Yaz all reached the top of the mountain as well.

"Hmm. Sure, we'll get the hang gliders. You two can just keep looking at things." Yasmina said with a heavy dose of sarcasm.

"Sounds good." Kenji told her with a thumbs up as he and Sammy began looking through the binoculars to see even further out.

Cass sighed. "There's no point in trying to get him to do anything, is there?"

"Nope." Yaz said with an eye roll.

"I can forgive Sammy because she at least helps out at camp when we need her to." The eldest teen said. "Maybe I should just kick Kenji's ass..."

Brooklynn took a look over at the hang gliders before looking back at the girl she was previously having an argument with. "Yaz, why don't you stay here with Cass? I unboxed hang gliding in Mozambique, so it's probably best for me, the expert, to handle the hang glider."

"That's okay. Those hang gliders look pretty big, so it's probably best for me, the athlete, to do the heavy lifting." Yaz told her as they both started making their way toward the hang gliders.

"No, really. Please, I insist." Brooklynn said with a scoff.

"No, no, no. I insist." Yaz said before walking just a bit faster toward the hang gliders.

With both of them now off the platform, and down the stairs toward the hang gliders, they essentially just left Cass on his own as they had their little argument-challenge-thing with each other. The older teen just let out another sigh and shook his head.

"They best work this out soon…" He said to himself. "Cause something doesn't feel right…" Cass mumbled before keeping an eye out for anything that could happen.

"You know, once you get past the "imminent death lurking around every corner" thing, this place really is paradise." Sammy told Kenji as she slouched against the railing.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

BACK IN THE JUNGLE

"You're insecure about your headband?" Darius asked as he watched Ben put together a Bumpy sled.

"No." Ben answered with a negative nod.

"Out of hand sanitizer?" Darius asked as he tossed the walkie-talkie up and down.

"Never." Ben answered.

"You have a phobia of some sort? Oh, acrophobia!" Darius shot off.

"No." Once again he responded with a negative.

"Autophobia?" Darius asked.

"What's that?" Ben questioned.

"I think it's being afraid of being alone?" D answered the best he could.

"Isn't everybody?" The slightly older teen told him.

"Oh, yeah." Darius agreed. "Well, whatever it is, I'm sure I can help."

"No, you can't!" Ben exclaimed as he suddenly stood up. "Not every problem has a solution."

"Yes it does." Darius said quietly.

"Not this one." Ben said as he began walking away.

"Well, if you tell me what it is, we can figure it out." Darius told him as he followed the teen to Bumpy. "You're worried about carbon emissions. You're out of clean underwear."

Ben finally had enough before quickly turning around and loudly telling him. "I don't want to leave Bumpy again, okay? That's my problem!"

"Oh." Darius said with a gasp as this was far more serious than he thought it'd be. "Well, you don't have to leave Bumpy. We'll build a bigger raft."

"Darius, we've been through this. She'll never fit on a raft." Ben told him. "She has to stay here. There's no other way." Both teens shared a moment of silence as they realized this was gonna be harder than they thought.

"When we got back to camp and I saw her, I realized it was a mistake to leave her. She's always been there for me, and then… I just abandoned her? I can't… I can't do it again." Ben explained. "I just can't."

And it was almost like Bumpy could feel his sadness and distress, because she let out a soft growl before bumping her head into him, letting him know that she was there, with the teen quickly hugging the Ankylosaurus's head.

"Ben, she'll be okay without you." Darius told him.

"Of course she will. She's a survivor." He said to him. "It's just that… I don't know if I'll be okay." Ben said sadly as he snuggled into Bumpy's head as she let out another growl, before pulling back and wiping his eyes. "I appreciate what you're trying to do, Darius, but some things… some things just can't be fixed."

Darius could only look at his friend in silence as there was nothing that he could say to make him feel better at this moment, for there was nothing that he could think of to ease the pain.

AT LOOKOUT POINT

Brooklynn and Yasmina finally made it down to the hang gliders, with Brooklynn attempting to pick it up but only managing to lift it a few inches. Yaz stepped forward to lift the hang glider, but surprisingly the same thing happened, with the athletic girl only being able to lift it a few inches.

But she knew she was stronger than that, so she crouched down and looked underneath at the frame and saw that it was locked and chained to the platform, more than likely so it wouldn't randomly blow off should there be strong winds.

"Relax. I can totally pick that lock." Brooklynn said before going under the hang glider and rustling her bobby pin in the lock, but to no avail.

"That'll take forever. All I need is a rock." Yaz told her as she stood up and walked off the platform to find a decent rock.

""All I need is a rock."" Brooklynn quietly mocked the older girl cause she knew she'd probably get said rock thrown at her, before going back to try and pick the lock.

"Where is a good one? Ah." Yasmina said to herself as she picked up a few decent-sized rocks but tossed them for they weren't what she was looking for. But soon let out a gasp as she spotted something that caught her attention.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

Both Kenji and Sammy were still goofing around with the platform binoculars, just laughing and having a good time.

"Oh, wow, I can see everything- trees, trees, more trees, jungle, beach…" Sammy suddenly let out a gasp. "Kenji, look at this, quick! There! See?" She asked as she practically grabbed the teen and shoved his face into the binoculars.

Kenji could only pull back in silence as he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

[][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][][]

* chain clatters *

Brooklynn chuckled to herself as she finally picked the lock and removed the chain from the hang glider. "So much for taking forever." She somewhat haughtily but soon grew quiet as she noticed she wasn't getting a response. "Yaz? Still nothing. "What's wrong?" She asked genuinely.

"These aren't rocks." Yaz told her as she slowly turned to look at her, a hint of fear evident in her voice. "They're eggs."

Brooklynn let out a gasp as she began looking around and noticed at least two more nests besides the one that Yaz was near. "And where there are eggs, there are…"

* screeches *

She didn't even get to finish her sentence before a Dimorphodon slammed itself over its nest protectively, trying and succeeding in scaring the two campers. Yasmina slowly put the egg back in its respective nest before suddenly shouting.

"Back to the gondolas!" Was what she said before she and Brooklynn immediately tried to run back to said piece of machinery.

"We gotta get out of here!" Brooklynn shouted as she caught the other campers' attention.

* shrieks *

A Dimorphodon suddenly landed in front of the two girls as they tried to make it up the staircase, letting out growls. And soon, a second Dimorphodon swooped up over the edge and landed on top of the gondola before climbing down and stalking toward Kenji and Sammy.

"Nice, creepy bird thing." Kenji said as he grew scared at seeing the dinosaur, before letting out a scream as the Dimorphodon screeched at him while moving closer. Suddenly, both Dimorphodons let out an ear-piercing shriek.

"Why is it doing that?" Yasmina asked she and the other campers all covered their ears from the high-pitched noise.

"That's why." Cass yelled out as he gestured above them. And much to their dismay, above them, was a huge swarm of the Dimorphodons, with there at least 30 flying over them.

Once again the Dimorphodon that was in front of Brooklynn and Yaz began screeching before jumping toward the two girls, occasionally trying to bite them and chasing them away from the staircase. And the second Dimorphodon stalked toward Kenji and Sammy before trying to jump at them, but the two teens evaded the dinosaur and ran around it.

Cass grabbed a chair and threw it at the dinosaur that was them as the two made their way to the gondola. 'I forgot how ugly these things are.' He thought to himself as he kept an eye on it as he backed up with Kenji and Sammy.

Ever so slowly, a gondola car rotated in front of them and opened its doors. Kenji and Sammy managed to get into it before the doors closed. But they didn't close fully as the Dimorphodon dove at them and managed to get its head stuck in the door, constantly trying to take a bite out of the two teens.

Cass, who had dodged the fucked up looking dinosaur grabbed it by its tail. "You two get out of here and go find Ben and Darius. I'm gonna see if I can help Brook and Yaz, okay?" And all he got was a nod from Sammy before Kenji roughly kicked the dinosaur in the face to dislodge it from the door. The eldest teen in turn tightened his grip on its tail and slammed its head into the ground. "Hopefully you stay down."

Cass turned around to look for his other camp members and noticed that yet another Dimorphodon had landed and was stalking the two girls together.

"They're closing in!" Brooklynn yelled out as she and Yasmina kept backing away from the two dinosaurs. Brooklynn tripped with a yelp before quickly being helped up by Yaz. Yet another Dimorphodon swooped down from the swarm and tried to take a bite out of the girls, but ultimately missed as they dove underneath the hang glider.

"Is there another way down?" Yasmina asked as they scooted back away from the approaching dinosaurs but almost slipped clean off the edge of the platform which would have led to their deaths.

* grunting *

The two female campers turned around at the noise and saw Cass had grabbed the two Dimorphodons by the tail and began to roughly drag them away before tossing them up into the air. "We still need that hang glider. So I need you two to take it, I can protect you here, but there's not too much I can do in the sky. I'll join you in a bit, try not to die." He quickly told them as he continued to defend both himself and the girls from the attacking swarm of Dimorphodons.

Both girls looked between the hang glider and Cass before looking at each other. "No other choice." Brooklynn said.

"Nope." Yaz agreed.

"Right." The pink-haired girl finalized as they both got into the frame of the hang glider before lifting it and making a small sprint before jumping off the edge and plummeting downward, with both of them letting out their respective screams.

"Please don't die..." Cass mumbled to himself before punching a Dimorphodon away and running toward the gondola. 'This is the last time my white ass is climbing a mountain on this fucking island.' He thought to himself before stepping into his gondola car.

Kenji and Sammy stared out the window of their gondola car in horror and apprehension as they waited for any indication that the two girls were alright as it had now gone silent. But speak of the devil, and he shall appear, Brooklynn and Yasmina came swooping upwards in the hang glider, catching an updraft. With the two girls now sailing high in the sky.

Kenji and Sammy let out decently loud cheering as they caught sight of their fellow campers. Cass on the other hand… as much as he wanted to celebrate, he knew this wasn't over yet. Not until they land the damn thing.

* loud whoosh and screeching *

A chunk of the swarm of Dimorphodons had broken off and was now chasing after Brooklynn and Yasmina, slamming into and bouncing off of the gondola cars as they neared them, but nevertheless focused on chasing down the hang glider.

The two campers helplessly glided through the sky as even Ben, Bumpy, and Darius all saw their situation, letting out gasps as they saw the swarm of Dimorphodons.

"We gotta speed up!" Brooklynn exclaimed as she heard the screeching of the dinosaurs behind her.

"How? It's not like there's a gas pedal on this thing!" Yaz exclaimed back.

* screeches *

"Lean left!" Brooklynn yelled out with the two girls doing so, managing to make the hang glider turn away and dodge some of the diving Dimorphodons.

"Incoming! To the right, now!" Yasmina yelled as they once again managed to dodge the dinosaurs that were trying to knock them out of the air. "Head for that cloud!" She exclaimed before they once again dove to the left and entered a cloud, where they had broken the line-of-sight with the Dimorphodons, and were finally safe.

Both campers began to chuckle as they flew through the cloud and realized they weren't being chased anymore, but soon flew out of the cloud and back into the open sky. But like they thought, they had lost the swarm of dinosaurs.

"I think we lost them!" Brooklynn said excitedly as they both shared a laugh, with the older girl offering a congratulatory high-five on their success, which was returned despite their previous arguments.

* screeching *

Suddenly, a Dimorphodon ripped a hole into the hang glider before shoving its head through and began trying to bite the two girls. Which in turn caused them to let out screams of fear at both the dinosaur, but also because they were now falling out of the sky.

Ben, Bumpy, and Darius all saw the girls falling out of the sky before rushing in their direction to see if they could help them in any way, sprinting through the jungle as they shoved foliage out of their way and tried their best to keep track of the hang glider.

But soon, the girls lost too much air due to the hole in their hang glider as well as the added weight from the Dimorphodon, causing them to crash down into a tree.

"Yaz? Brooklynn!" Darius called out as he kept running toward them.

"Darius, watch out!" Ben shouted to the other boy as he slid to a stop.

Darius stopped running before looking up into the sky and saw the Dimorphodon diving straight at him, but luckily Ben reacted quickly and managed to tackle him out of the way, causing the dinosaur to swoop past them before turning itself around and trying to go in for another dive.

But this time, it was stopped by Bumpy, who slammed her head into the dinosaur, knocking the wind from its body and causing it to fall to the ground. The Dimorphodon shook its head as it tried to gather itself before turning to the trio and letting out snarls and screeches.

Ben grabbed his branch and stood his ground against the flying dinosaur with Darius and Bumpy at his side, as they all let out loud roaring yells to drive off the Dimorphodon, causing it to fly away in fear from the noises.

"Whoo!" Darius let out as they all celebrated, while Bumpy let out growls as she nuzzled Ben.

* clapping *

"Wow!" Brooklynn sarcastically said as she stood at the base of a tree.

"That was very impressive." Yasmina added as she climbed out of the tree they had landed in.

"I mean, not as impressive as me and Yaz literally flying away from danger, but…" Brooklynn casually gloated before being interrupted by Yasmina high-fiving her, causing them both to laugh.

But the four soon heard the sound of rapidly approaching footsteps, as well as Kenji and Sammy letting out giggles of excitement.

"Oh, I love it when we're all alive!" Sammy exclaimed as she rushed forward to hug everybody.

"Yeah! Take that, Dino Island! Whoo!" Kenji yelled out.

Cass moved straight toward Yasmina and immediately wrapped his arms around her and held her tight. "Thank the gods, you're both okay. I was worried about you.." He trailed off as he looked her over and just saw a smile on her face. "But I guess you're alright." Cass chuckled to himself before kissing Yaz on her head.

"Yeah, it's a little torn, but we can fix it." Darius said out loud as he looked up into the tree and saw the hang glider. "And it's gonna be a perfect sail for our next boat."

"Boat... Boat!" Sammy exclaimed as she shook Kenji.

"Boat!" Said boy shouted out as whatever she was going on about clicked, causing the both of them to laugh with each other in excitement.

"Uh… What are we talking about?" Darius asked as he and the others were all lost right now.

"We saw Tiff and Mitch's boat!" Kenji explained to them.

"It's on some rocks not far offshore. We can totally get to it." Sammy added on.

Darius let out a gasp at the prospect of having an actual boat for their escape, with the others being equally as excited.

The sounds of ocean waves crashing against rocks and the wind hitting the coastal sands and trees of Isla Nublar was what greeted the members of Camp Cretaceous as they broke through the tree line of the jungle, as they laughed and cheered at the sight of Tiff and Mitch's boat floating about 50 feet from some rocks.

"Hey! That boat's big enough to fit Bumpy!" Darius said with some enthusiasm as he turned around and told Ben.

"Darius, I guess you were right, every problem does have a fix." Ben said to him with a smile as he pet Bumpy.

"Man, remember when we ran straight at that freaky, flying dinosaur?" Kenji asked Sammy as he recollected on that moment.

"Nope! Already blocked it out!" Sammy said childishly as she covered her ears.

"That's why I'm here to remind you." Kenji jokingly said.

Sammy let out a laugh. "No!"

"So, tell me about track meetings." Brooklynn said as she was sitting on a large rock. "What are they like?"

Yasmina let out a small laugh as she leaned into Cass as they both sat on the same rock. "Meetings? What, you think I run laps in a conference room?" She joked.

"Come on! Can I at least get a few points for trying?" Brooklynn asked.

Darius just let out a small sigh as he and the rest of his camp fam looked off into the distance, getting the perfect view of the ocean, the soon-to-be-setting sun, and their new way home.

"We're close… just a few more steps…" Cass quietly said to himself.

BACK IN THE JUNGLE

The corpse of a Ceratosaurus was being dragged through the jungle until finally, all movement halted. Just the loud thumps of its killer's footsteps could be heard, mixed in with its growls. And suddenly…

…a scream.

Alright, that is the first chapter for season 3. I'm sorry that it took so long to get out or if it may seem lacking in certain areas. I've just been really busy as of late and couldn't put all of my time and effort into this like I would have wanted to.

But I hope you all enjoy it nonetheless, and I look forward to seeing you all again in the next chapter.
