Brightfly gazed at his belongings. I want to take them all with me. Can I? Brightfly had just raided the art cave for a large, brown sack. Why it was in the art cave? He didn't know. He sighed, knowing he didn't have enough room.

Eventually he settled on some basic items he had. Gifts from his father, a stone tablet he could write on if he ever needed. He didn't know how it would help, but he always keeps it with him at all times. Also there was a piece of coral that Turtle had said could help him find whatever he needed. Again, none of this made sense but he kept them for sentimental value. Then there was a little carving in wood, sent from a friend from Pantala.

He stopped packing for a moment to think of his good SilkWing friend, Atlas. She was a flamesilk, so she was busy often. However, her true passion was art. Atlas was always carving wood in her free time, and this sculpture was one of her greatest, made especially for Brightfly. He'd met her on a field trip to Pantala, the first he'd been on. He's been there three times since, two of which were just him convincing Kinkajou to let him go and the other a field trip. Kinkajou let him be more free than Turtle, but you don't want to get on her bad side. He can't remember the last time Kinkajou saw Princess Anemone, but it hadn't gone well when Mother did see Father's animus sister again.

He packed a bit more before closing the sack, distracted by thinking Three moons! Coral's been queen for ages! therefore forgetting to check the hallway before leaving. And when he stepped into the corridor, he saw steaming, copper scales about to collide with him.
