Always Waiting

I promised you that I would wait for you to return.

I would wait as long as it takes.

Forever.

And I know that you will keep your promise.

You'll come back.

And we'll laugh together.

Although it has already been many years, many times that I've been reborn.

Even if this isn't the world we were once from.

I know you'll be coming back to me.

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the light of the rising sun. I smiled as I remembered the dream from my past. From the person I once was yet still am. And I remembered the feeling of seeing his face and being with him once again.

I got off my bed and made my way towards my open window. I watched the sun rise in the sky, people waking up to the new day, the animals playing around. I smiled and closed my eyes, feeling the cool summer breeze as it blew passed by face.

"Are you there?" I asked, "Are you there, Soushi?"

The wind passed my face again and it felt like someone's hand was lightly caressing my cheek, like it was answering my question.

"I am right here. I exist here, now, Soushi." I gave a little chuckle and reached out my arms towards the sky, that beautiful azure sky. "No matter where I am or who I become, I am still here. I still exist here. I may not look like the Kazuki that you said goodbye too or made that last promise with, but," I smiled up at the clear bright sky, "I am still waiting for you Soushi. Forever. Because I am here waiting."

I continued to stand with my arms out, almost embracing the sky, and felt the wind rush into my room and dance around me, like it was embracing me as well.

It felt like I was standing there for hours until my aunt began banging at my bedroom door and yelling at me to make breakfast. I quickly changed, my smile never leaving my face, even when my aunt began railing at me for being lazy, my smile never faltered.

Later, an Order member, Tonks, appeared from behind the bushed to check how I was doing.

"Wotcher, Harry!" The pink haired auror greeted. "What were you doing this morning? You looked like you were talking to someone."

I smiled up at her from my weeding. "I was just waiting for someone."

I continued with my work, ignoreing her confused look and several questions.

You'll be back soon, Soushi. I can feel it.

And when you do, there is something that I want to tell you.

Something that I've always wanted to tell you but was too afraid.

But, now, I have the courage to say it, so hurry and come back, Soushi!

I just finished watching Fafner today and this just popped into my head. Right now, it is just a one-shot but I might add some other chapter, if I ever fell like it.
