Commissioned by Eric Philippe! February chapter, so expect the March one, and another one, and then another one this month. Fucking hell this fic is making me rich... How!? Either, hope ya enjoy it bud!
"Lady Fria, the Bullhead is ready to depart." Fria lifts her head and turns away from her Scroll as a guard steps into her room.
A small smile spreads across her pale face, her silver hair gathered up in a tight bun as her blue eyes sparkled in the light.
"Quick and efficient, just like always." She muses softly before standing. "Thank you, Markus." The bodyguard bows slightly.
"Just doing my job, ma'am." He replies flatly, hands crossed behind his back.
Fria hums, fingers rubbing across the picture displayed on her scroll.
Of her and a very young looking Willow.
"I hope I get to see her at the Vytal Festival…" Fria whispers to herself before putting her Scroll away and walking up to her bodyguard.
The man nods, turns around, and starts leading the way out of the room, down the hall, and down into a large empty lobby of a massive mansion.
Where a certain white haired man stood, waiting for Fria.
"Ozpin." The silver haired woman greets with a thin smile, and the bespectacled man bows his head while moving his cane aside.
"It has been a while, Fria." He greets softly, then his face falls slightly as he looks around. "Are you sure about this?" He questions lightly.
Fria sighs lightly.
She gives her bodyguard a look, and the man swiftly excuses himself, leaving the two alone.
"I can't always stay hidden, Ozpin." Fria sighs. "If Salem's people don't kill me, then boredom will."
She shrugs lightly. "Plus, it's just the Vytal Festival, and you will be around together with thousands of Hunters." Ozpin sighs, flicking his glasses up as he does so.
"I guess I am just too paranoid." He muses, earning a faint chuckle from the Winter Maiden. "Do forgive me. If there was another way…"
Fria cuts him off with a wave of her hand. "You are doing it for my safety, and for the safety of many more. I understand." If her powers were to fall into Salem's hands, then that would be a catastrophe.
And she didn't want to be the one that dies to her hands, or to her minion hands.
Nor did she ever want these powers and the responsibilities that came with them, but alas…
Back before she was chosen as the wielder of these powers, she was but a teacher.
No Huntsman, no fighter. A teacher.
"How's Willow?" She questions, deciding to change the argument, a fond smile on her face.
Ozpin smiles back, then turns around and motions for the large open doors leading outside. "She's a very talented young woman. Incredible mastery over her Semblance, and a very powerful Team that complements her abilities." Fria's heart soars at that.
She was Willow's teacher in the past, hired by her father to teach her from a young age in the private of her home and library.
And she quickly grew fond of the young girl, viewing her as her own daughter.
Time truly flies by quickly. Not too long ago Willow kept telling her about her dreams and aspirations, and now here she is, achieving them with her own talent and hard work.
That thought made a smile spread across her face.
The headmaster and the Maiden exit the large mansion and walk into a wide field filled with greenery.
A large bullhead rumbled not far ahead of them, and Fria pauses slightly before turning her head to look at her bodyguard, who had moved outside under her request and was now close-by.
"I'll have to leave my cats in your care, Markus." She felt bad for that. Her three cats were little demons.
And now she had to leave Markus to deal with them until she comes back from the Vytal Festival.
The man blinks, then simply smiles softly at Fria. "I can handle them ma'am." He reassures softly, receiving a pitiful stare from both Ozpin and Fria.
"We'll see." The Winter Maiden states before turning around to follow after Ozpin. "Now, do tell me about Willow's teammates."
"Well, for one there is the Team Leader, Raven Branwe-"
Markus watches as the two step into the Bullhead, and as the other servants left to walk back into the mansion and get back to work, mostly to clean up the rest then have the day off.
He watches as the Bullhead takes flight and shoots into the sky.
A shaky breath leaves his lips, and his gloved hand dips into his pocket to pull out a new Scroll.
He opens it, then clicks on the only contact saved on it before bringing it to his ear.
It rings twice before the call goes through.
No one says anything, and he is the first to speak up after a few seconds. "The target is on the way." He nearly growls out, hand clenching around the Scroll while the other clenches into a tight fist. "Now release my family."
The person on the other end of the phone clicks their tongue chidingly. "We'll release them when this is all over." He grits his teeth in fury at that. "Can't afford having you tattle now, can we?"
"So, anything else I should be made wary of? Was she with someone else on the Bullhead?" His eyes narrow into a thin glare, and a vicious smirk spreads across his face.
While he was only her bodyguard in the mansion and had to entrust Fria's protection to other Huntsmen once in Atlas, that doesn't mean he can't do something to protect her.
Lie.
"None that I have seen." He answers, hoping that Ozpin's presence alone could advert a disaster from happening.
He doesn't know why they are after Fria's life, but he doesn't care.
All he can do now is just hope and pray for the best.
"Good." The blue haired woman that took his family hostage muses. "A promise is a promise. When this is all over, your wife and child shall be released back into their home."
"But if you tattle, and I will know if you will, then I'll have my man give your wife a very long night."
"Understood?"
His teeth grind together with near enough force to shatter.
"Understood." He growls out.
Sable laughs softly. "Good boy."
XxXxX
"Did you seriously memorize all of my fucking spawn points?!" I all but screech at the howling Qrow, his legs kicking in the air and his breath coming out in wheezes.
And yet he still manages to wall-bang me from across the goddamn map!
Again!
"I swear to the Brother Gods, I'm about to bring this goddamn Bullhead down." I growl out through gritted teeth as Glynda sighs from beside me with a fond smile on her face.
Summer instead was squeaking and wheezing with laughter as she held onto the smiling Willow.
Who knew that Qrow's hidden super talent was video-games…
As for me, I'm just rusty. That's all. I need some practice and I'll kick his ass with ease.
Definitely.
"Please don't." Blue, one of Qrow's teammates, groans out softly from his seat, still recovering from a hangover his team dared him into.
Just like his name, his short messy hair are blue. Same as his eyes. Not very creative of his parents.
His also the shortest of Qrow's team, and the less muscular, but it fits his style. Daggers and an Invisibility Semblance, perfect for espionage and assassination. Those kinda things.
The problem is that he still can't keep his invisibility up for more than five minutes, so it doesn't help much unless it's something quick.
His partner is Larry, the biggest and most muscular of the whole team. And I mean it, dude's a fucking giant.
He's got black eyes and a rust colored hair that reached his shoulder, and looked even messier than Blue's.
And he's the only other guy with a Semblance in Qrow's team, with his granting him very, very though defenses.
Apparently he can get run over by a truck going full speed downhill and the one getting hurt would be the truck.
Those are his words at least.
I believe him.
Qrow still doesn't have his Bad Luck Semblance, and I dunno if he'll even develop it or it'll be something else entirely.
I still don't have mine either, and I don't know how that's going to work due to my situation.
I am two people fused together, and that bought with quite a boon, which I didn't notice for the longest time.
My Aura reserves are now even more massive than they used to be before I fused with Raven.
Aura is something connected to the Soul, or so I've heard and remember, and right now I am two Souls fused into one, bringing out the best from both.
Semblances develop from Aura, hence they develop from one's Soul.
Does that mean I'll get two Semblances due to my situation, or what?
Hell if I know, though I sure as hell am quite excited to discover what I gain.
I scoff and give Summer back her Scroll, giving her the stink-eye for laughing at me.
I'll tickle the hell out of her once we are out of this lug of metal.
Speaking of which… "We there yet?" I ask with a grumble, leaning back into my uncomfortable seat and stretching my back, making it pop quite loudly.
Then I sulk against Glynda, something she does shy away from.
It's been an entire month since me and her kind of got together? If it can even be called that.
We just fuck a lot whenever we can, and man do I love it. She's an amazing lover, and her reactions are just delicious.
I'm pretty sure Willow suspects something, but Summer is still the adorable and clueless goofball that she always is.
When she isn't handling guns, that is.
Either way, right now we are on our way to Mantle for the Vytal Festival. In a week from now there will be the tournament, but until then there's gonna be a lot of different games and whatnot for Huntsmen squads.
They change every time of course, so I can't really expect what will be waiting for us.
There's games of capture the flag, which is either attached to another team, or to a powerful Grimm they somehow captured.
There's also a game during the night, a hide and seek of sort inside an artificial forest.
If they put me and Qrow inside such a game, then we destroy the entire damn competition.
"We're there." Larry states while looking outside the window, making all of us pause, then perk up and look outside and down towards the enormous city of Mantle.
We can't see Atlas floating above us, but we can see the shadow it casts down onto the city.
"Finally!" Taiyang exclaims first, slumping down onto his seat as the bullhead starts descending. "I've had enough of being locked up in this hunk of metal." He groans.
"What? The company of four beautiful ladies annoys you?" A snarky remark comes from my right, and as one, we all slowly turn to gape at the prim and proper Glynda.
Oh. My. God.
Summer gulps. "Did I inhale bad Dust chemical smokes or something or did Glynda actually…" Willow slowly nods, eyes just as wide as everyone's else.
"My lord, she's turning into another Raven…" The Schnee Heiress mutters, and Glynda chokes, cheeks instantly catching on fire.
"I am no-bwuh!" I cup her cheeks and squish them together, my eyes all but sparkling with delight.
"Oh no…" Qrow bemoans in despair.
I coo softly at Glynda. "I am so proud of you, my dear…" I whisper, then cuddle her with the force of a billion sounds, earning a squeaky choked noise from her.
I glance at Qrow and give him a vicious smirk. "Fear me, for I have a successor!"
He slams his head against the metal hull of the bullhead behind him. "Kill me. Her sickness is spreading." I merely cackle madly.
Summer giggles and shakes her head at my insanity. "Though I agree with Tai. This is the seventh bullhead we've been on to get here, so at least we can finally settle down for a while." They all nod in agreement.
And I can't have that.
"We gotta do this on our way back, remember that." Everyone instantly groans loudly at that.
"I swear to the fucking Gods, Raven…" I just cackle more at that.
I need to ruin the mood. It's a must. It's in my blood- Or well, Soul. Part of my Soul.
How confusing…
Summer starts vibrating in her seat as the Bullhead lands, and for a second I fear she might vibrate out of the Universe itself with how blurry she becomes.
And then she actually fucking disappear! Wha-!?
"Wooo-hoooo! We've landed!" A loud, shrill scream from outside draws my attention, and I snort softly at the sight of her running outside as the Bullhead settles down and the engine turns off.
Right, I forget that she can teleport sometimes…
The Bullhead opens up, allowing us to finally stretch our legs and breathe in some fresh air.
"Remember that we gotta check-in at the Hotel within five hours." Qrow calls out as Summer teleports left and right, up and down as if she is high on caffeine.
And I've seen a Summer high on caffeine.
I never want to experience that ever again.
She fucking made Napalm in the goddamn kitchen somehow.
Blue speaks up first after stretching his legs and back. "I suggest we go grab some grub first. I'm famished." Larry nods his head at his partner's suggestion.
I reach out to my left and yank Summer into me right as she appears in that place, making her squeak in surprise and flush up. "What says you? You hungry?" I ask, and she blinks.
Then her eyes sparkle with the brilliance of two suns.
"I'll take that as a yes." I snort, and Glynda chuckles softly.
I notice Willow is slightly distracted, seemingly very taken with her Scroll, but I decide not to pry.
This is her home, so she might be looking forward to seeing her family again. Though she never talked much about them, she only said that her father didn't really want her to become a Huntress due to worry for her well-being, and this led to a fight before she departed.
We leave the crowded airport soon after that, then walk into the streets of the quite rich looking city.
It's full of led lights, quite clean, filled with fancy looking restaurants and quite a lot of banners for the festivities and whatnot.
Plus, the streets are chock-full of people.
In the end, to avoid getting lost because we know jack-shit about the city, we ended up relying on Willow to take us sight-seeing and to find a good place to eat at.
I watch as everyone walks ahead of me, descending down a long staircase while chatting animatedly.
I turn my head to look at Qrow, his hands in his pocket, and his face clearly set in a deep frown.
I know that look. It's when he's thinking too hard about something.
I bump my shoulder against his. "Whatcha thinkin' about?" I ask, drawing him out of his thoughts before walking ahead.
He grumbles slightly at my interruption, but that's what he always does.
"Just…" He pauses, and I glance back to see another frown on his face. "A bad feeling, I guess." I raise a brow at that.
"Your bad feelings usually tend to come bite in the ass, so…" It's like a sixth sense of his, and it sure as hell ain't a Semblance.
He just can feel when bad shit is about to go down. Not the when or where, but it usually is aimed at the both of us.
He sighs and shakes his head. "You think the bastard knows where we are at by now?" I pause slightly at that.
Right, I've been putting the thoughts of that asshole aside for a while now.
"Probably." I mutter beneath my breath, hands clenching into fists by my side. "If he doesn't, he will soon enough." Qrow hums in agreement.
"He won't give up on you." I shrug at his words, knowing all too well the fucker is obsessed with me.
His second coming or some shit.
"I'm training harder than ever just in case he comes for us." I tell him, thankful of the massive boost in Aura reserves I got due to my and Raven's fusion. "And I'm training my Team quite hard too."
"As much as I want to face the fucker alone, I know that they won't let me." He snorts softly, and this time he's the one bumping his shoulder against me.
"Don't count me out just yet. You've protected me for years from that fucker." He smiles softly as I snort, crossing my arms behind my head. "Time for me to protect you back for one, no?"
"It's the big sister's duty to protect the younger brother, ya know?"
"Oh fuck off. You just popped out five seconds earlier than me."
"Which means I am five seconds older than you. My point still stands."
"Fuck's sake..."
We share a chuckle at that, but we soon fall quiet as we walk.
I used to protect him when we were growing up there. Keeping the fucker's attention all onto myself, training hard and doing everything that would make him 'love' me.
That meant winning every fight in the Pits, killing everyone he wanted me to kill, and even besting fucking trained Huntsman with Semblances when I was just past ten.
It's true, I'm/Raven's fucking terrifyingly strong and skilled, but Qrow is too. I had him hide his capabilities just in case anything went wrong, always hold back and make sure to win by a hair's breath, sometimes even lose just once.
And while he isn't as terrifying as me when it comes to strength alone, he far surpasses me in skills and stealth.
But all of that sneaking around and trying to fool our bastard of a father didn't do us any good, as Qrow ended up having a 'Bad Feeling' right before our Birthday, so we went fuck all, set the camp and the area on fire, then just booked it.
We didn't want to stay around and find out what the bastard had planned out for us.
"We won't stand a chance against him without a Semblance." Qrow mutters, and I have to nod in agreement as he pulls me out of my thoughts.
Gravity Control. He can make Gravity heavier, invert it to launch you across the field, or just splatter you to the ground.
Or hurl you high in the sky and let you come crashing down while screaming.
The only weakness he has is that he can only use it every two seconds. He can do one thing, then wait, then do it again, then wait.
Group fights aren't his forte for that very reason. He excels in one on one fights, as he can toy with his adversary and fuck them up so good those two seconds mean nothing.
"And that's why we'll need our Team." I pat my fist against his chest. "Divided we Fall, United we Stand." I quote, and he grumbles.
"You been watching those Superhero movies too?"
"Summer forced me. And you can't say 'No.' to Summer."
"Fair enough."
I chuckle and shake my head slightly. "But I'm serious. We can't keep doing things by ourselves." I nod ahead, towards our chatting Teammates. "We now each have a Team. We can trust them with this stuff. We are stronger together."
He hums, then chuckles softly, his dark eyes lighting up slightly. "I guess you're right. We're definitely stronger together." I smile, then shoulder bump him again.
"What about Sable?" I pause at the familiar name.
"Who?" I question with a raise brow, and Qrow stops too to look at me as if I've went insane.
"Sable." He repeats, but I just raise a confused brow. "Our half-sister?"
…
Eh?
We have one of those?
"If I can't remember her, then she's irrelevant, no?"
Qrow twitches, then snorts. "I fear she might have an aneurysm if she hears her 'Nemesis' say that."
"Nemesis my ass. I'll fucking body whoever that bitch is with both of my hands tied behind my back."
"You actually did that once."
"See?" I shrug with a smirk, still not remembering who the fuck this Sable is. "I still can't remember her though."
He chokes, then laughs. "Let's just go eat already…"
"Now you're speaking my language!"
…
"There's no fucking way I'm going to eat beside a disgusting animal!" Is the first thing I hear when we step into the not so fancy restaurant.
I blink and share a confused look with the others before Tai groans aloud.
"Great, fucking racists…" Ah, I forgot this world had that kind of problem.
Racism towards the Faunus.
Which is so damn stupid because how could you hate a goddamn Cat Girl?!
"Sir, please calm down, this restau-" A waitress tried to calm the irate and very racist fat dude – because of course it's the generic fat bad guy – but was unfortunately cut off by him squealing up a storm.
I wanna eat, not deal with this bullshit.
"Bring this filth out, or I won't eat here!"
"That won't do you any harm, my guy!" I snark loudly, and Qrow snorts from beside me. "You got tits bigger than my own, goddamn! As a man! Hit a diet, will ya!?" Tai, Blue and Larry start snorting and laughing under their breath, trying to clearly hold their laughter back.
Glynda merely groans while Summer is covering her face with her cloaks. Having so many people look in our direction makes her very shy. How cute.
"Y-Y-You-!" The stereotypical fat rich guy, most likely also a noble of sorts, starts twitching in anger while pointing a finger at us, face flushed red.
I click my tongue with a sigh and walk up to him, towering over the guy, which instantly and slowly makes him pale.
Especially when he sees the sword strapped behind my waists.
I pat his shoulder with a friendly smile. "Just get the fuck out, alright? Or I can find out how far I can throw your fat ass." Qrow instantly pipes up at that.
"It's been a while since we played 'Toss the fucker', didn't we?" Oh right, that was a 'game' we used to play while traveling towards Beacon.
Just grab a bandit, and hurl them as far as you can.
I must teach this to my girls.
I go to pat the guy on the shoulder again, but then notice he's gone. "Well, damn." I whistle when I see neither shadow or hide of the dude.
For being fat, he's quick as hell.
I turn to look at the Faunus he was hollering at and Oh my fucking Christ, look at this babe…
Short black hair and adorable, pet-worthy cat ears. Tanned skin, plump lips, golden slitted eyes.
And an ass so damn fat it spilled out of the goddamn chair she was sitting on.
"I fucking love Cat Girl." I whisper aloud, and Qrow chokes while said Cat Girl lifts an amused brow, a slight red coloration to her cheeks.
"I hope you are on the menu, because I doubt anything in this restaurant will taste as good as you." She now openly gapes at me while Glynda, Willow and Ruby all groan in unison.
"There she goes again…" They know me so well.
The sexy Cat Girl blinks, then smiles a wolfish grin and licks her lips as she looks at me up and down.
"Depends." She purrs out. Purrs out. That sounded so goddamn sexy. "Are you on the menu too?" I'm gonna marry this chick.
"Probably. Check under the number '69'."
"Raven!"
A.N. Finally I can write Kali. I've been wanting to write a lewd Cat Girl for a while, and Kali is the boss of Cat Girls.
And probably among the hottest Milfs I know of.
So, hope y'all enjoy this chapter, cuz writing this week is becoming harder and harder cuz there is no motivation for it lol!
