Somebody asked about Caster, I hope this chapter helps with that a little.
Somebody else asked about why Sakura seemed surprised by Rin saying they were sisters. This wasn't because Sakura didn't know that, she was just surprised Rin was willing to admit it and still considered them sisters after everything that happened.
Chapter Eleven
As expected, this Holy Grail War had turned into yet another failure.
Matou Zouken pulled back the familiars he had watching the Emiya estate. With two bonded Servants inside the risk of confrontation was too high. Well, he didn't think that it would be too difficult to use his familiars to kill the boy while his guard was down, but he hadn't determined if there was any point in doing so. Even if he could capture or eliminate the boy, there was no guarantee that he would be able to use that leverage to finally break Sakura.
A human being would have sighed. For the mass of worms that made up the being once known as Makiri Zolgen, there was no equivalent. His insect familiars merely retreated and began to conserve energy.
His acquisition of Sakura from that fool Tohsaka had seemed like a godsend at the time, considering the failing magical ability of his bloodline, but it had turned out to be a double edged sword. Despite all of the abuse Sakura had suffered at his hands she had not truly broken. Not to the extent that he would be able to manipulate her as needed to achieve his goals. Relying on a command seal was an option, but unreliable considering the sheer scale of what was necessary.
What a waste of ten or so years of investment.
Zouken originally had not planned to involve Sakura in this war. However, he did not have access to any convenient fools like Kariya this time around, and it had seemed like a waste to not even attempt a victory. After careful consideration, he had decided on a half measure.
His granddaughter's will to resist him was troubling, but she did have one weak spot deep within her mind. Her desire for the Emiya boy. Although he called it a weakness, he did not believe it would have been enough to influence her rational mind, only her subconscious one. With considerable effort, Zouken had trapped his granddaughter's mind within a deep illusion, one that convinced her that every threat she faced was a threat to her lover. When not in combat, she faced constant illusions of his suffering and cries for help.
Even this was only a temporary measure that would last for five days. By then her conscious mind would have defeated the illusion, and the same trick would not have worked twice. Zouken had allowed Shinji to form a pact with her and told him that he had until the end of that time limit to defeat all of the other Servants and claim the Holy Grail.
As always, his useless grandson had disappointed him. Not only had he failed to eliminate a single Servant, but in death he had handed over his only asset to their enemy.
Zouken could only be grateful that this wasn't a serious attempt. He'd never expected a command seal would be wasted on healing the girl, after all the illusion on her mind would have worn out on it's own in only a few days. But as a result of the command, every worm he had placed within Sakura to ensure her return to his clutches after Shinji's inevitable failure had been killed. Although he didn't know it, the Emiya boy's decision in that moment had eliminated Zouken's only means of forcing the Servant Sakura Matou to return to him.
If he had been keeping his true body within her heart, as he would have for his final attempt, he would have died then and there.
And now Sakura was likely lost to him forever. If the Emiya boy abandoned her he would retrieve her after the war, but the likelihood she would remain in Fuyuki knowing that he was around was low.
In the end it didn't matter. Even with more time to train her, Sakura might never have broken. He would be better off focusing his efforts on acquiring a new heir. After all there were plenty of fools out there with spare heirs to get rid of, even if finding someone as talented as Sakura would be difficult.
"My domain is this night sky!"
Zouken shifted his attention upwards. Although none of his familiars had heard them approaching, two incredibly powerful spirit origins had appeared inside of his home. No, where they even within his home? All his many eyes could see were a dizzying array of lights.
"Your sins are as numerous as the stars!"
The very last thought Zouken ever had was confusion, as the very stars from the sky descended to eliminate every single one of his insect bodies at once. He'd been standing underground, with a stone ceiling above his head.

"Ew, ew, ew! I still can't get the smell of disgusting bugs out of my nostrils!"
"For somebody who wants to be held down and raped so badly, you sure are squeamish."
Luvia did not roll her eyes, because that would be beneath a magus of her calibre. But still, she felt like she would never get used to someone who looked like such an innocent body making such crude comments. "All you had to do was stand around and watch, so I don't want to hear any complaints from you."

"For a masochist, you sure are a harsh taskmaster." Ilya said in that same sing-song voice.
Luvia felt her eyebrow begin to twitch, but stopped the motion with the self-restraint of years and years of training. "Any self respecting magus would feel the same way. Now come on, I don't want to stay here any longer than we have to."
From the outside the Matou mansion looked the same as it had before their attack. Only someone with the keen magical senses of the two of them were able to tell what had occurred. The fearsome presence of the vampiric being that had lived within had been cleansed by the power of the goddess inside of Luvia. Her noble phantasm was terribly effective at judging the guilty, so it had not been much of a struggle. Thankfully, she hadn't needed to supplex him. How would she have ever washed away the stink?
"Yes, your holiness." Ilya said. Despite her sarcastic tone, she jumped onto the polar bear with the adorable name that stood beside her and bade it to retreat.
Although she wasn't serious, Luvia accepted those words as her due. After all, she contained within herself the Divine Spirit Astrea, Greek Goddess of Justice. It was only right that a holy being like her receive praise.
Luvia reactivated the spell that hid their presence, and the two of them began their journey back into the night. Her purpose for completing this mission may have been invalidated some time ago, but as an Edelfelt her pride demanded that she finished what she started. Besides, it had hardly been difficult with her divine power.
Despite their extravagant appearances, nobody bothered the two women as they made their way through town. Luvia's spell would have been sufficient enough on it's own, but it was also late enough at night that there were few people out. They kept their eyes open of course, but no Servants accosted them as they made their way back to the Eizenbern mansion deep within the forest. So far they had encountered only one other Servant each. Luvia had fought a Saber with a skin-tight body suit, while Ilya...
While Luvia was lost in thought, Ilya finished patting down her large polar bear and brushing the dirt from it's fur. The small homunculus turned her attention to Luvia. "If you don't mind, I'd like to finalize the details of our alliance."
Luvia couldn't help but lower her eyes. What a painful subject. "...Yes. Very well, it's late so let us talk in my room."
Ilya made a noise of disgust. "If possible, I'd prefer not to spend any more time in that hellhole."
Luvia raised an eyebrow. "Don't be silly. As a noble and a goddess, I'm quite confident in my interior decoration skills."
For some reason, Ilya cursed at her the entire way up.
Arriving in her room made two emotions stir within Luvia. The first was a sense of peace and comfort. No matter what else was going on in her life, being surrounded by so many images of him always made her heart feel like bursting with joy. However, at the same time thinking about him made her feel the betrayal all over again.
"So disgusting." Ilya complained.
Luvia frowned at her young looking companion. "Don't be silly, I had these taken by the best private detectives money can buy, so I won't accept any criticism."
The 'disgusting' thing that Ilya was referring to was the collage of pictures that Luvia had used to cover every wall of her room within the manor. Each picture was contained a candid shot of Shirou Emiya, depicting his adorable child form in some pictures and his absurdly hot modern form in others. She even had a few shirtless pictures, although only a few of those were up. She preferred to use them while she was masturbating after all, so leaving them on walls would make that difficult.
Luvia moved a few papers around from her coffee table so that she and Ilya could converse. On top of the pile were two pictures she had gotten a year or so ago, one depicting a modest girl with purple hair and the other a harlot with twintails. Both of the pictures had the word 'Present for Master?' written on them, but the latter had the words 'Not good enough for Master' written on it as well. Luvia had originally planned her attack on Zouken's home to retrieve the purple haired girl and present her to Shirou as a gift when the war was over. Unfortunately now that was not to be.
"...Isn't worshipping someone who cucked you the sign of a complete loser?" Ilya asked, with a terrible attempt at a straight face.
"If I ever find out who taught you those words, I'm going to give them the supplexing of a lifetime." Luvia vowed. "Now, what was it you wanted to talk about?"
"I just want confirmation." Ilya said. It was hard not to see her as a child with her build and adorable little outfit, but Luvia knew that she was the older of the two of them. "Now that you've seen that Onii-san abandonded you, you'll give up on him right? He has two Servants under him, so as far as we know he's likely to be our biggest threat."
Luvia wished that she had some tea to drink to hide her reaction.
It was painful. It was so painful to think about.
In her childhood, Luvia had an experience within a dream. Although she called it a dream, any magus would be able to tell that it was real as well. Within that dream she and a young boy had saved the world, although it wasn't a story she wanted to dwell on too much right now. For most of her life since then, Luvia had been consumed by one single goal. To travel to Fuyuki, win the Holy Grail War, and then bow before Shirou Emiya and ask him to become her Master.
Having a Master during the war would have tremendously improved her chances, but Luvia was not that kind of person. As a magus she had her pride, and more importantly she couldn't justify to herself dragging her hero into that kind of struggle when he had nothing to gain. She had met Ilya and agreed to form a temporary alliance until they were the final two servants remaining – as long as Shirou Emiya was not harmed in any way.
Then only a few days ago, Ilya had returned with news. Shirou Emiya had entered the Holy Grail War. With that vixen Rin Tohsaka as his Servant. And then in short order he had acquired another Servant as well, the purple haired girl that Luvia had intended to give him as a present.
It was not that Luvia was upset that he had other Servants. It was the right of a Master to spread his seed as he pleased, so she would have helped him gather any other women he wanted. However, what hurt was knowing that he hadn't sought her out as well. Even though she would have given him her everything willingly, he hadn't taken her as his first.
Really, it hurt to think about... Did he not treasure his memories of that dream as she did?
Luvia steeled herself. As a human she could have fallen into despair, but as a magus she had to continue towards her goal no matter once. "Very well. I hereby swear that I will help you defeat Emiya Shero, no matter what. And I will not submit to him willingly."
"Good!" Ilya said, smiling as thought she didn't know what a difficult moment for Luvia this was. "I look forward to your assistance. If there's nothing else, I'm going to bed."
Luvia ran a hand through her own hair. "Yes, I suppose I should as well. Normally I would make sure to spend at least half an hour on my deepthroat training before going to bed, but there's no point in that now is there?"
Ilya made another face. "I swear, if I ever find out what distorted you, I'm going to give it a real long lecture on proper behaviour. Good night."
"Hmm?" Luvia asked. Personally, she didn't know what was embarrassing about that. If anything she was proud of the work she had put into training her body since hitting puberty, attempting to turn herself into the perfect sexual partner for Shirou. She'd accomplished so much, even with her self-imposed limitation of not allowing any other men to touch her as practice. "Good night."
Incidentally long ago her sister had threatened to have her disowned if she talked about her hobbies in public, but Luvia couldn't understand why everyone didn't want to live like she did. Wasn't dedicating yourself to a Master a woman's highest pleasure?
Luvia frowned, she wasn't sure why but ever since she had met Shirou in that dream of hers her values and society's values had been shifted away from one another.
Of course Luvia had no intentions of changing so that was a problem for another time...
And thus, Zouken joins Shinji in hell. I made the decision pretty early on that I didn't want this story focusing on either of them, even though I wanted Sakura to be in the harem early. Frankly, they are too "serious" evil for this kind of story, they would be dragging the mood down. So killing them off became a necessity. Now we can move on to villains more suited for a story like this.
This is the end of Arc 1. Next chapter begins the second arc (out of three) for this story.
