UA's Saiyan Heroes
"The school festival is almost upon us." Kaen said, pressing the power button on his suit, returning him to his Chibi form. "Tomorrow, we'll be making everyone in the festival cheer."
"We'll have to haul out of the gym soon. But we should have time for one more run through." Kirishima said.
"Look alive." Mina said as she clapped her hands. "An' 1-2-3, and 1-2-3, and 1-2-3, and pose. Then Xiao Long brings out the Disco Ball, and Izumi books it off stage."
"Right." Izumi said.
"Izumi, you're still lacking passion, so bring the fire." Mina said.
"Roger." Izumi stated.
"I was scared we were gonna seem like amateurs." Sero said. "But things are looking good. The band and dance teams are stepping up their games, and putting in the work. Guess it helps that Ashido's a merciless coach."
"Compared to the training she's put me through as my dance coach, she's going easy these guys." Kaen chuckled. "Dancing's her thing. She's incorporated it into her fighting style, and she's pretty damn good at it."
"IT'S ALREADY 9 O'CLOCK!" Hound Dog stated, slamming the doors open. "ALL STUDENT SHOULD HAVE CLEARED OUT OF THE GYM BY NOW."
"Crap, let's beat it." Kirishima said.
"I gotta go get Eri anyway." Kaen said. "Mina, I'll see you back at the dorms."
"See ya babe." Mina said.
~Later~
"Did you have fun with Togata, Hado, and Amajiki?" Kaen asked, holding Eri in his arms while both rode on Kuro' back like she was a horse.
"Yeah." Eri yawned. "I like being with them. Big sis Hado is lots of fun."
"That's good to hear." Kaen said, as they reached the door to the dorms, and opening it to see mostly everyone still up. "Evening guys. Didn't get into too much trouble with Hound Dog, did ya?"
"Nah, we were fine. Bit of a stern talking to, but nothing serious." Sero smiled.
"That's good." Kaen said, hopping down from Kuro's back. "Make sure she's tucked in properly Kuro."
The tiger nodded, before heading straight for the elevator for the side of the dorms Eri's dorm was on.
"So what'd I miss?" Kaen asked.
"Just this." Yang said, pointing to Kaminari with her thumb.
"Oh man I can't sleep, I am so pumped for tomorrow." Kaminari cheered.
"Would you just relax. Quit being so loud, there are people trying to sleep, and Eri's being put to bed right now." Mina scolded.
"I just hope the audience will be that enthusiastic." Iida said.
"It's probably better if we don't think about it very much." Jiro stated. "Being embarrassed, worrying about what others are thinking, that'll kill our vibe."
"Take it from someone who's performed alongside Panic at the Disco, and Skillet. Stressing about the performance, won't help. It's alright to be nervous, just don't let it get out of hand." Kaen said, pulling himself over the arm of the couch.
"Come up with that yourself?" Jiro asked.
"Nah, it's something Brendon told me when I was about to perform with Skillet." Kaen chuckled.
"What Jiro said is also good for more then just the performance." Izumi chimed in.
"You got that right." Yang smiled, going over the equipment with Izumi. "When you try to make others feel good, you end up raising your own spirits to."
"Exactly." Izumi said.
"Hey Kaen, I forgot to mention. Nezu will have to shut the festival down if anyone is caught trying to sneak onto campus." Mina said.
"I'm aware. Dad told me during training this morning." Kaen said. "But something tells me, it's gonna be fine tomorrow."
"Oh no." Izumi said.
"What's wrong?" Mina asked.
"This rope is so frayed. It's a miracle it hasn't snapped yet." Izumi stated.
"We put it through some tough abuse during practice. I'm actually surprised it survived this long." Yang said. "It's just proof we're growing closer as friends."
"But it's dangerous, what if the rope breaks and the crystal ball lands on someone during the performance?" Izumi said.
"Yaoyorozu will make you a new one." Kaminari said, before Kaen smacked him upside the head with one of his tails. "Ouch, what the hell was that for furry little gremlin?"
"A, never do that voice again. B, call me a gremlin again and I'll light you up in a blaze of fox fire. C, Yaoyorozu isn't your personal factory." Kaen stated.
"Plus she's asleep and in bed already." Jiro added.
"But people use me as a phone charger on the regular." Kaminari complained.
"That's because you're a total Yes-Man. Grow a spine and stand up for yourself will ya?" Kaen said. "No need to bother her, I'll go buy a new one in the morning after training."
"I can come to if you want." Izumi said. "There are a few things we need to get for Eri's surprise anyways."
"That's right." Kaen smiled.
"Okay but, your performance is at 10 tomorrow, before ours." Kaminari said.
"I'll be there with time to spare." Kaen said. "No need to worry, the market next to the tea house I sold the Golden Tips to has a hardware store 15 minutes from U.A, so it'll be quick, especially if I run. It opens at 8AM so we'll hit it up."
"You have been getting faster in that form." Izumi said.
"I think I've managed to harness the speed of a Kitsune from all my training." Kaen smiled.
"That's cutting it pretty close you two."
"It's two hours. We'll be there and back before you know it." Kaen smiled.
"Well, goodnight. We should really be getting some sleep." Mina said.
"Ditto. I'm exhausted from training, school, and rehearsals." Kaen yawned.
"Before you go, how about we night owls make one last promise, to pull this off and rock everyone at U.A." Kirishima cheered, raising his fist into the air.
"YEAH." Everyone cheered.
~The Next Morning~
"She's gotten better at her control over Full Cowling and switching to air force attacks in an instant." Toshinori said.
"I know, she's really improved. Wonder when it'll be fight ready though?" Kaen inquired, before there was a rustling in the bushes.
"THERE YOU ARE MIDORIYA, YAGI. I KNEW YOU'D BE HERE." Mei cried out, popping out of the shrubbery while covered in grime.
"Hatsume, you're so dirty." Izumi gasped.
"When's the last time you got any descent sleep?" Kaen asked, noticing the bags under her eyes.
"Ignore the dark circles and grime." Mei said, reaching into her cleavage. "I knew I'd find you training, even though it's the big day."
"Kaen, what is she doing?" Toshinori asked, having turned himself and his son away from Mei. "That's not appropriate to do in front of a teacher, and fellow students."
"Relax dad, Athena just gave her a Duplication Void Quirk. Same kind she gave herself, Mina, and the rest of her Support Course Team." Kaen stated. "She probably just stored Izumi's new gear in it for easy transport."
"I got the gloves you asked for to work, so I came to deliver them in person." Mei smiled, holding out two pairs of air force gloves.
"Wait, hold on, why did you make a second pair?"
"I made them with my Duplication Void! I figured since you and my Darling Kaen have quirks so similar to one another, they'd be beneficial." Mei smiled.
"Have you been training with air force?" Toshinori asked Kaen, after turning back to examine the support gear Mei developed.
"Not as much as Izumi, but I have been doing it for a bit. Or I was before Athena turned me into this." Kaen stated, gesturing to his chibi form.
"The gloves were made with the Darmanium based fabric, so it took a little elbow grease to repurpose them the way I needed to, but thankfully I was able to pull it off." Mei smiled as Kaen and Izumi both took a pair. "I even made it so the color scheme of the gloves changes to the same color pallets of the one who wears them."
"These are so cool, thank you so much, though you could have waited for after the festival." Izumi said, putting her gloves on.
"When it's over, I'm going to sleep for 36 hours." Mei said.
"Can I take a look?" Toshinori asked.
"By my guest dad." Kaen smiled handing him one of his gloves.
"Wow, Support Items can be so compact these days, it's crazy." Toshinori smiled.
"Whoa." Kaen gasped, when the glove he put on shrank to fit his smaller hand, while turning black with the palms going red. "You weren't kidding about the color changing. How'd you manage that?"
"A little help from your sister. She modified a camouflage Quirk and put it into the leather gloves I installed into the mods for these, which allows for the color schemes to change, as I said." Mei said. "So they should be able to go well with your costumes. Because you see, a good designer is able to satisfy their clients in one go. So what do you think of them?"
"I love them, seriously they're awesome." Izumi said. "These should definitely help with my new moves."
"Here's the manual for the gloves, see ya." Mei said, holding up the manual before running off.
"Thanks again, and good luck today." Izumi called out.
"Wanna give your gloves a trial run Izumi?" Kaen asked.
"You bet." She smiled.
~7:50AM~
"Not good, it took a while to get used to the gloves, so we ended up practicing too long." Izumi said, as she and Kaen ran through the stalls of the festival.
"No kidding. Thankfully the performance doesn't start until 10, so we've still got some time." Kaen said, running on all fours.
"Why are you running like that?"
"I find it easier in this form." Kaen said.
~8:10AM~
"I was hoping they'd sell rope at the convenience store. Guess it's more of a specialty item." Izumi said.
"The hardware store is just ahead, we can get the rope there." Kaen stated, carrying what they bought from the convenience store, with one of his tails.
"Clock's ticking, we need to hurry." Izumi said.
~8:30AM~
"We got the rope. We should have time to make it back before the performance begins." Kaen said. "Take a look to your right."
Izumi looked to her right to see what looked like a house, with a beautiful well taken care of garden.
"That's the shop I sold the… watch out." Kaen switched gears, pulling Izumi back as they nearly ran into a duo, who seemed suspiciously concealed.
"Dear me." The man in the trenchcoat said.
"Sorry about that. Our bad." Kaen said.
"Do be careful, you almost ruined the after taste of the Gold Tips Imperial." The man said. "A travesty I would not, be able to ignore."
'That voice… why does it sound so familiar?' Kaen thought.
"Come let us go La Bra… Honey." The man corrected himself as he and his lady friend turned to head down the street in the same direction Kaen and Izumi were heading.
"Honey? Oh yes, that's me, Honey." The rather short red haired woman said.
"Did he say Gold Tips?" Izumi asked.
"I was trying to tell you, that house right there is the tea cafe the old man runs." Kaen said. "You know, the guy I told you about selling the tins to for 200 yen a piece?"
"Interesting. We should probably visit some time." Izumi said.
"Yeah, I don't know what it is, but the way the old man's daughter makes the tea, just makes it taste all the better." Kaen said, not noticing how the man they nearly ran into turned back to look at them, before stepping up to the two of them.
"Ahahaha, you must be familiar with Gold Tips Imperial if you've had the chance to enjoy its splendor." The man said. "You must be a pair with refined taste, always a pleasure to meet a fellow connoisseur, even if you are just a couple of young ones."
"Well, tea helps me to think when I'm doing my school work, especially Gold Tips." Kaen said. "Plus, I couldn't say no to selling the old man those tins when he got down on his hands and knees. I was just gonna give them to him, but he wouldn't take them for free. He's so kind that way, so I charged him as cheaply as I could to meet him half way."
"Plus, I don't know that much about it. Our friend just made it for us once is all." Izumi said.
"Oh, then you undoubtedly run in high class circles." The man said, before he paused as if realizing something. "I mean… you have a wise friend."
"Yes, she's our classmate." Izumi replied.
'Wait a minute.' Kaen thought, his eyes narrowing.
"How delightful to hear young lady." He said. "Now if you'll pardon me."
"Hold it." Kaen hissed, putting both bags in Izumi's hands, while his voice forced the man and his lady friend to stop. "Izumi, take the bags and return to the campus. Buy me as much time as you can, but don't raise any alarms."
"Right." Izumi said, apparently knowing who they were faced off against as well.
"Tell me something." Kaen said, pressing the activation button on his Darmanium underclothes, while Izumi ran past the duo. "That tea was part of your ritual, right?"
"Ritual, whatever do you mean?" The man asked, slowly turning around, only for his eyes to widen when he saw Kaen standing there in his natural Saiyan form, red fur and fox tails gone.
"I saw your video." Kaen stated. "Please…"
"La Brava, it's time to bring out the camera." Gentle Criminal said, removing his sunglasses and mask.
"You can't do this." The Saiyan said, his fists clenched. "I don't care what you have planned. I won't let you near my school, or ruin the festival for everyone who's worked so hard to put it together."
~Festival 9:50AM~
"There you are Kaen, where were you?" Mina questioned, as Kaen ran to the front gates with Ectoplasm right behind him. "Oh my gosh, what happened to you?"
"I tripped over a couple of my tails and fell." Kaen said, running to Mina in his Chibi form. "Please tell me you have another Darmanium Suit on you for me to wear?"
"Of course I do babe." Mina said. "Come on, get changed everyone is waiting."
"Right, thanks babe." Kaen said.
"Wait, those scrapes." Ectoplasm said. "An' you plan to perform covered in dirt? Everyone will be worried about you instead of the show. You have time to get healed up, do that first."
"Right." Kaen said.
~Back Stage~
"There are way more people here then I thought there'd be." Toru said.
"At least everyone sounds like they're in a good mood." Sato pointed out.
"Well yeah sugar brain, it's a festival." Yang stated.
"Is Yagi still not back?" Uraraka asked.
"He's back." Mina said, rejoining the group. "He just made it. Had a bit of an accident with his tails. He'll be here just in time for our duet performance to start."
The moment the clock struck 10, the lights in the gym went out, before the curtains began to draw on the stage, revealing the band group, all set up and ready to go with the music, while Kaen, full Saiyan form, and Mina both dressed in their performance costumes, stood on stage. Each of them had an earpiece mic on, and ready to sing, with the others standing behind them.
"Are you ready to rock U.A High?" Kaen questioned, getting a cheer from the crowd.
~Flashback 8:32AM~
"Well aren't you a perceptive young man?" Gentle Criminal asked.
'Saturday morning, there are no people around. No hero agencies either, so I can't expect back up. An' with Izumi keeping the alarm from sounding, I'm on my own.' Kaen thought as the electricity from his Quirk began sparking around his body. 'An' I don't have that good of an idea on what Gentles Quirk really is.'
"La Brava, there's been a slight change in plan." Gentle said grabbing the shoulder of his coat. "From this moment on, no matter what, don't stop filming."
"Oh, I'm all over it Gentle." La Brava said, pulling out a camera as she started recording. "But are you gonna fight on the street, right here? What about your master plan?" She asked.
"My dearest viewers. I believe it's time to give you a taste of my latest hijinks." Gentle declared, before he threw off his coat, with La Brava doing the same, while the air in front of him rippled like water, or gelatin.
Gentle Criminal has a slicked-back hairdo with a curl at the front and sports a handlebar mustache along with a well-kept, medium-sized beard. Around his eyes, he has thick black lines resembling eyeliner. His clothes consisted of quite an extravagant style, featuring a dark purple jacket with enlarged collars and coattails, a pair of loose, pinstriped pants, and two belts. He also wears a pair of cuffs, and purple gloves along with a woolly scarf of the same color, while he still held his cane in hand.
La Brava has raspberry pink hair, which she wears up in two high pigtails, wide and thick at the top and thin at the bottom, the ends curved upwards to the sides at her waist, their edges trimmed straight, with a single bang in the middle of her forehead, swept pointedly to her right, and very large, pointed-down eyes with dark rings on the underside of each, two longer eyelashes to each far side, with the dark circles around her eyes matching Gentle Criminals. Her outfit seemed quite elaborate, consisting of a big white bow at her neck, matching the thick gloves she wears, with an indigo shirt, pinned large buttons and long, upturned frilly sleeve cuffs, and a pair of white, poofy pinstriped pants, making her legs seem bigger than they are. She has several heart motifs decorating her outfit, such as heart earrings, heart-shaped buckles on the two thin, golden belts around her waist, and a wide heart design over the tops of her legs. She also wears dark tights underneath her pants, over a pair of shiny high-heeled boots.
"Try not to be so dazzled that you avert your eyes, that your favorite scoundrel shows off his talents." Gentle said, staring Kaen down. "Gentle Criminal at your service. My plans have shifted. Due to our current predicament, I shall keep my words brief."
'He's filming this?' Kaen questioned.
"For this caper, I will infiltrate U.A High School." Gentle stated, posing in front of the camera.
"So cool." La Brava squealed in excitement.
"So not cool!" Kaen exclaimed, crouching low. "I won't let you do that." He declared, lunging at Gentle, and La Brava.
Kaen's advancements towards the two were halted, when he hit something elastic, and was flung back away from them. Picking himself up, Kaen glared at the duo, ready to stop them at any cost.
"I conjured up that barrier, as I cast off my overcoat." Gentle stated. "If you've seen my videos, then you should already know, my Quirk is Elasticity. I bestow said property to anything I touch."
"That's including the air itself." Kaen said, putting his Xerox Band on his wrist under his wind pressure gloves. "Good to know."
"I find myself so confounded in this moment La Brava Darling." Gentle said. "His speed and power are startling for one so young. An' the way he shifted forms, it's as if this is who he actually is."
"I swear I've seen him somewhere before Gentle. Be careful." La Brava said, shivering under Kaen's gaze.
"Quite odd." Gentle said, before they turned tail and ran. "Sorry to cut and run, but the show must go on."
"Don't apologize, just stay away from my school." Kaen said, giving chase to them.
"Clever boy, but no such luck for you." Gentle said, slamming his hand on the ground. "Gently Trampoline!"
"Not gonna work on me." Kaen said, using his flying technique.
"Good heavens." Gentle said, bending back to evade the tackle.
'If I keep using my power at this speed, I'll burn through the suit in little over 90minutes. I gotta finish this fight, now.' Kaen thought, sliding to a halt, as he landed on the ground. 'Mina, Eri. I'll make it back for the concert, just you wait.'
"You're quite the box of surprises my dear boy." Gentle said, turning to look right at Kaen. "However, I feel rather lucky, as it seem you're on a time limit."
Kaen looked himself over, and saw the suit was already starting to steam.
'Damn it, my anger must be speeding up the burnout. Gotta end this fast.' Kaen thought.
"When I was a student, I to worked hard to put on social events." Gentle stated. "I'm sure you have feelings invested in this festival. But they can't win against the desires of my mustache and my soul."
"Were you a parent?" Kaen questioned.
"Excuse me?"
"Were you, a father in high school?"
"No, don't be ridiculous, of course not." Gentle said.
"Well guess what. I am." Kaen stated. "I am a father, who just got his daughter back from a madman hellbent on throwing the world into chaos, by using my daughters Quirk with her blood and cells to make a Quirk erasing drug. An' the trauma she went through, made her lose her smile, an' we've all been working hard to put our concert together, to give that smile back, and free her from the pain she's suffered through."
"My dear boy…" Gentle sighed. "I truly sympathize with you, I really do. But I cannot stop this crusade of mine. I must press forward."
"I won't let you." Kaen hissed, before his eyes widened, as Gentle zipped right past him.
"I hate to leave business unattended to, but I am on a tight deadline." Gentle said.
"Get back here." Kaen shouted, turning to grab Gentle' arm, only for it to bounce back as the air had been elasticized.
"As I said, you cannot win against my desires. This scheme is a crucial step towards my becoming a legend." Gentle stated. "Be a dear, and stay out of my way."
"Your desires, are nothing when compared to the love I feel for my daughter, and my desire to see her smile return to her face." Kaen growled, firing a Ki blast at Gentle.
Gentle grabbed La Brava, just before the Ki blast could make contact, and they bounced into the air, traveling faster to U.A on trampolines of o2.
"Hey Gentle, I think I know where I've seen him before." La Brava stated. "That boy is named Kaen Yagi. He's the Saiyan that the government was trying to keep a secret, and the adopted son of All Might. He's totally dangerous."
"By Jove, we'd better get out of here post haste. We must carry out the plan before his friend alerts U.A of our arrival." Gentle said, before looking down at his arm, noticing something. "That rapscallion tore a hole in my sleeves and scratched me."
Kaen just crouched down, before he leapt into the air and flew straight for Gentle and La Brava. Holding up his hand, the armored piece on glove he wore moved forward, enveloping his fingers, before charged 20% of Saiyans Wrath into his hand and flicked at the duo who were escaping, hitting them with a pressurized air projectile.
"I won't let you get away."
"That's not enough to stop me." Gentle said, as he and La Brava continued onward. "I will not be discouraged."
"I won't let you ruin this for my daughter, and my entire school." Kaen declared, tackling Gentle as he was in mid air.
"Dear boy, that's not your decision." Gentle stated.
"Oh yes it is." Kaen glowered, before they crashed into a construction sight through scaffolding.
"Gentle no." La Brava cried.
As the dust settled, Kaen stood up, looking around for Gentle, unable to actually find him. The construction sight they'd landed in was one that Kaen new was being built for storage space for the Support Teams in the Support Course to set up as a warehouse store, and since he was the main backer for the project, he knew the layout better then the construction crew. However it seemed the sight was the perfect bounce house for Gentle Criminal's Quirk to be used in.
"Where is he?" Kaen questioned. 'Thanks to the suit I can use Ki for my attacks and flying technique. But I'm still unable to actually use Ki to sense.'
"What an unexpected turn." Gentle said, drawing Kaen's attention to one of the steel girders behind and a bit a ways above him, to see Gentle just hanging there by his coat. "This won't do at all. However one must keep a sense of humor about such things, mustn't one?"
"Isn't it about time to drop the act?" Kaen questioned.
"My plan will be a smashing success, this is but a delay." Gentle said. "Minor setbacks don't worry a gentleman."
"Hate to break it to you Gentle, but what you're planning isn't as original as you think. The League of Villains already infiltrated U.A back around the start of the year." Kaen stated. 'He's not giving up, the Festival's still in danger. My best chance now is to try and ploy him out of it.'
"My dear boy, the USJ was an off campus facility. Therefore, infiltrating U.A is still a scheme I plan on executing, despite my delays." Gentle said. "Yes, that is the resolve of Gentle Criminal."
"You're no Gentleman. I know you plan on doing something to U.A." Kaen stated. "What do you want with my school?"
"You'd like to know my scheme eh?" Gentle asked. "Ruffian I may be, I implore you not to amass me with those foul wretches from the league of villains. You see I have no pallet for kidnapping, or murder, or any such rubbish. I simply wish to sneak into your School Festival, and broadcast it, so that the world may know that I am indeed a master criminal. Now kindly let me go."
"Can't do that. Even if I did, you have to know that the campus is on emergency alert." Kaen said. "If any alarms are raised, then not only will the festival be shut down, but the school board may also consider shutting U.A down for good. You'll ruin the lives and dreams of all the students who've worked so hard to make them a reality."
"Fair enough." Gentle sighed. "So, now you're aware of my nefarious schemes. It's been lovely chatting with you, but I'd best bid you goodbye and be on my way."
"I don't think so." Kaen stated. "I'm taking you in, and I will make sure you're put away for your crimes."
"I don't think so." Gentle said, creating a platform under his feet. "While the aftertaste of my tea remains, I will make sure you do not ruin my machinations."
'Not good.' Kaen thought as Gentle began bouncing around like the girders were made of rubber. 'If I try to use any air force attacks right now, they'll just bounce back and pick up speed, becoming that much deadlier.'
"Now boy." Gentle began, landing on a girder on the outside part of the construction. "Do pay close attention to what I'm about to say." He said, pulling a screw out as he made it pliable. "I can't cancel the effects of my Quirk. The things I elasticize return to normal, gradually over time. Imagine how the structural integrity of this still is affected by this bounce. On and did I mention I found it prudent to remove the bolts from the one I'm standing on? Just think, should this beam fall, the havoc it would reek on anything, or anyone bellow."
"You wouldn't." Kaen's eyes widening in horror, when he realized what Gentle was getting at. Looking down, Kaen saw that there was someone there who was watching in curiosity. "No."
"You're a U.A student, yes?" Gentle asked with a smirk. "If someone's in danger… you'll step in."
Time seemed to slow down for Kaen as the steel girder broke from the rest of the structure. The Wukong gem seamlessly emerged from his chest, and shined brightly, before Kaen's eyes glossed over, as memories flashed before him.
"Now Gum-Gum…" The memories flashed through his mind, but he didn't seem to recall ever using that power, or doing the fusion dance with whoever he was fused with in that moment, as it looked like the fusion was fighting in a war of some kind, against some sort of navel government.
Time seemed to speed back up, as Kaen threw his arms back, shocking Gentle as they stretched beyond possible belief like they were made of rubber, before he shot them forward, and they wrapped around the girder, stopping its descent, before it came back up, and Kaen swung the girder at Gentle.
"Cobra-HAMMER!" Kaen shouted out the name of the move that flashed through his memories. 'What was that? Whose memories were those, and how am I doing this?' He questioned, his focus on Gentle as the villain dodged the attack. 'Doesn't matter, I have to stop him here and… What the?'
"Shit, my arms are tied in knots around the girder." Kaen cursed.
"Well, isn't this fortuitous for me?" Gentle smiled. "I don't know how you did what you did dear boy, but I thank you. La Brava, now is our chance to return to the task at hand."
"Coming Gentle." La Brava smiled, coming out from her hiding spot. "I got it all on camera."
"Oh, and my Dear Boy." Gentle said, looking to Kaen. "If you hadn't caught the Girder as it fell, I had planned to bounce the beam out of the way myself if you hadn't stepped in for some reason. Never in my wildest dreams though, would I have thought you were capable of elasticizing your body, quite impressive."
"It's news to me actually. I've never been able to stretch like this before, and it feels as though it's a power that's both my own, and isn't." Kaen smirked. "But just you wait, I will get my arms loose, and I will take you down."
"I'm afraid that won't be possible. I hate to leave you under such a strain, but stay put and bear the pain patiently. Help will arrive soon, and you will be saved." Gentle said, elasticizing a crane and pulling it back, to use as a sling. "At which point I shall be done filming. Grab hold La Brava."
"That's harsh Gentle, you're playing dirty." La Brava said with a smile.
'If they're this confident about their plan, then they must have some way to make it past the sensors without setting them off.' Kaen thought. 'This is bad, I gotta stop them.'
"Our timeline has changed La Brava." Gentle said, as they went flying to U.A. "But if they're on their guard and I still manage to sneak in, then I may yet attain the notoriety I seek, as a man who accomplished a great feat, history will remember my name."
"Not so fast." Kaen's voice rang through the air.
Gentle and La Brava looked back before the Gentle Criminal bounced out of the way, evading an air bullet that had been sent at him.
"He's still fighting?" Gentle questioned, seeing Kaen's arms retract back to their normal size. "This young man is tenacious indeed."
"I see some of you in him Gentle." La Brava said. "I don't think he's ever gonna quit. He's gonna keep fighting until he stops us, even if his time limit runs down. I think it's time. Let's use my Quirk."
~10:15AM~
"Alright everyone, how'd you like Class-A's songs, written and played just for you to enjoy." Kaen called out as the other dancers left the stage, leaving only the band group, as well as Mina and Kaen. "Now before this show concludes, we're gonna set you off right, with a special performance. This is a song, that has a special meaning to myself as well as my partner here."
"We find that there's no better song to express how we feel, and thought that it was about time we shared it with you." Mina smiled. "Now, who's ready, to let nothing hold them back?"
~8:58AM~
"He's on our tail Gentle." La Brava said, spotting Kaen as he came flying towards them.
"La Brava, if possible I'd like to save your Quirk until the situation becomes more dire."
"But at this rate, it's highly possible your plan will fail." La Brava said.
"I'm well aware, this clever caper is now a race against the clock." Gentle said, sliding along the ground as he landed, before looking up, to see Kaen coming right for them. "An' he's fast."
'He said his power gradually fades. Which means I can do this if I plan it right.' Kaen thought. 'Quirks like his emit low levels of the users Ki. If I sacrifice some of the suits time to amplify my Ki Manipulation to sense their locations then… There." He analyzed, his suit burning brighter.
Landing on one of the membranes, Kaen leapt to the side, evading the one in front of Gentle. The villain put up another to shield himself and La Brava, but Kaen had expected that, and aimed to use an air force bullet on one of the membranes still in the air. Firing the attack, the air force bounced off the membrane and struck Gentle right in the sternum, knocking the wind on of him. Rolling on the ground, Kaen was instantly on his feet, and lunged at both villains, pinning them to the ground, while restraining their arms behind their backs.
"That's it, I've got you both, stop resisting and give up." Kaen stated. "I'll hand you over to the police as soon as I can. Don't try to fight back."
"I love you Gentle." La Brava said.
"An' I you, my La Brava." Gentle stated.
'What's going on? I'm feeling a surge of power coming from Gentle. It's as if he's… No, that can't be it. Does her Quirk involve her love for someone?' Kaen questioned as, as Gentle' strength began to rise.
Gentle' power continued to rise, until he released a burst of energy that knocked Kaen off him and La Brava, and sent the Saiyan teen flying.
(Cue Music… There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back: Sing2/Kaen~Mina)
Flipping back and landing on his feet, Kaen looked up at Gentle to see a miasma of pink energy around him, with his hair having gone wild.
"So this is what her Quirk does? Love is a powerful tool." Kaen said. "Though it is strong, your love, is no match for the love I feel for my wife and daughter."
The air around Kaen began to swirl and caused the rocks to defy gravity, before his hair went gold and blue, and his muscles bulked up.
'I have to hold back with going Super Saiyan while wearing this suit. If it burns out before this fight is finished, I'm not gonna be able to win. I've got five minutes going Super, so I'd better make those five minutes count.' Kaen thought.
"Go now La Brava." Gentle called to her.
"But Gentle." La Brava gasped.
"NOW."
Kaen lunged at Gentle, with the criminal doing the same, before their fists collided, and Kaen sent the villain back. Looking around, he was unable to find La Brava, as she'd already ran.
Flipping back through the air, Gentle created a membrane of elastic air that he used to correct himself, and send himself flying back towards Kaen. The two clashed once more, with Gentle creating a membrane of air in front of Kaen, sending the Saiyan flying to the ground with the recoil, building up a cloud of dust.
'Damn it. I'm still not fast enough. Holding back as a Super Saiyan is harder then it looks, but I don't have a choice, I wish there was someway I could increase my speed without burning out the suit faster.' He thought.
Slamming his fist into the ground, the skin on Kaen's arm bulged as he felt the flow of blood stop for a second, before the pace doubled, as it retracted back into his body, before his skin took on a near salmon pink tint, with more steam emitting from his pores. He looked at his hands, then down at his chest, realizing the Wukong gem was still out, but it looked completely different. Its shape had changed.
The gem looked like it was carved into a bust of an overshadowed face, wearing a straw hat, with cross bones behind the face, like a pirate jolly roger.
'I can ponder this later. Right now I have to use this newfound power to defeat Gentle and end this right now.' Kaen thought.
Taking a step forward, Kaen felt another wave of memories pass over his mind, before he pulled his arms back, and threw them forward, putting everything he had into maintaining his control over their movement.
"Gum-Gum: Jet Gatling!" He cried out, his fists flying faster then Gentle could see, as he was pummeled into a tree.
(End Song…)
As the attack stopped, Kaen's arms snapped back to him, before the steam stopped pouring from his body, and the last of the suit burned away, resulting in his Super Saiyan form vanishing, while he returned to his Chibi form.
"Gentle Criminal, you are under arrest." Kaen said, restraining the criminals arms.
"No, let my Gentle go." La Brava cried, running and hitting her fists against him.
Though he was small, Kaen was still able to use his Kitsune tails to shield himself from her tiny hits.
"I'm sorry, but this has to be done." Kaen said, before he felt Gentle moving again, with the pink miasma returning around him. "What are you doing? Don't move or I will…"
The chibi teen was unable to complete his warning, before Gentle threw him off, and into the thicket. Rolling on the ground, Kaen groaned, before he picked himself up and ran towards the clearing, but stopped when he saw several Ectoplasm, Hound Dog surrounding Gentle, and taking La Brava away.
"Yagi, are you alright?" an Ectoplasm clone asked.
"I'm fine." Kaen said. "Just a little scuffed up."
~10:20AM~
Kaen stood ashamed in front of Toshinori, Hound Dog, Gine, and a few other teachers, as they'd all been filled in on the situation that happened earlier.
"Running late isn't a crime. But you should know when to check your messages." Toshinori said, as Kaen scrolled through his phone.
"Yes sir." Kaen said.
"You're lucky Young Midoriya covered for you until you got back." Toshinori sighed. "Otherwise things could have gotten a lot worse."
"Right."
"Seriously, what were you thinking fighting when you know you're in no shape to be doing so?" Gine asked.
"I had to do something." Kaen said.
"Listen here punk, you only have your provisional license. Don't forget that there are others here who care about U.A just as much as you." Hound Dog said, getting in Kaen's face.
"Right, yes sir. I'm sorry." Kaen stated.
"We can talk about this later." Toshinori sighed. "For now, you might wanna get going and enjoy the day with Eri, she's been wanting to spend the day enjoying the festival with you for a while. An' she has a special surprise for you. Just remember to rely on others from now on, got it?"
"Right, I'll do that." Kaen said. "Thank you."
With that done, Kaen ran off to find Eri and Mina, and enjoy the festival with them, and possibly some others, overjoyed and surprised to find Eri was once again able to smile, while sitting on Kuro' back.
"You were amazing Papa." She cheered.
~Dorms That Night~
"Man, today was exhausting." Kaen sighed, flopping back on the couch of the common area with Eri and Kuro wrapped in his tails, sleeping.
"I know, first that villain tries to break into U.A, then you help finish the performance right after? You're one dedicated father, Kaen." Mina smiled.
"I would hope so." He sighed. "I would hope so."
"Knock, knock." Toshinori said, coming into the common area of the dorm. "Kaen, you got a minute?"
"What's up dad?" Kaen inquired.
"You've got a couple visitors." The blonde retired hero said, before stepping aside to reveal Mecheal and Arcane stepping in, with a box in Mecheal's hand.
"Mecheal, Arcane?"
"Hold in, is that seriously you Kaen?" Arcane asked.
"Don't ask. Athena did this, and it can't be undone by anything." Kaen said. "What brings you two here?"
"We have something urgent to talk with you about." Mecheal said, opening the box, revealing the Watcher's Eye inside. "An' it involves that rubber power you were able to use in your fight today."
