Bloodykitsune1997: Woo, a lot happened in this chapter. I did plan somethings, but yeah Wyn got away from me with Law wanting things to go a certain way.

Jostanos: Looks like you've got your answer darling! Hope you enjoy the chapter.

Nearly dozing with her beak covered while in thunderbird form, Wyn jolted as she felt a hand touch her back. She almost zapped whoever it was though held back that instinct just barely. Pulling away her wing, she blinked sleepily at seeing Law, "Law?"

"What are you doing in the rec room?" Law asked with a frown, "If you're going to be sleeping, you should rest within your room,"

Cheeks puffing as bits of electricity curled about her form from irritation, Wyn found herself snapping at him, "I would if Rei hadn't of locked the damn door and with my magic being so low right now, I can fucking unlock it."

Due to an earlier attack on them by the marines due to Wyn's now 100 million berrie bounty and Law's own 150 million berrie bounty, Wyn had used up quite a bit of her magic as there had been two marine captains among the ranks with one of them having a rather annoying devil fruit that had almost managed to send her into the ocean. With Rei's recent attitude, the pink haired girl refused to ride on her back and cover her blind spots which had admittedly helped reveal some rather glaring problems that she would be fixing immediately. But as a result of Rei's actions, she had spent the entire battle working far harder and spending more energy than usual resulting in her being quite drained.

Law's expression darkened and Wyn flinched back a bit. She went to apologize for snapping at him only for the doctor to hiss, "She did what?!"

"She locked me out of the bunk and refused to open the door," Wyn slowly began to relax as she realized that he was more angry at Rei than her, "With Ikkaku sleeping off the surgery you did on her, I doubt she's waking up to unlock the door for me, so I stopped trying to get Rei to unlock the door two hours ago,"

"Why didn't you come get me or get someone to?" Law asked with irritation clear on his face.

Sighing deeply, Wyn's wings dropped against the couch, "You were still busy with helping the crew and I knew you'd be tired. One night out of my bed won't kill me," She shook her head lightly, "I've slept in worse place-"

"You will not be sleeping in here," Law informed her earning a surprised look, "I will deal with Rei-ya in the morning, but for now, you will come with me,"

"But-" Wyn went to protest when she saw the look on his face and quickly closed her mouth.

It was his 'Do not argue with me or I will turn you into my next Surgery practice dummy'. Wyn quickly moved to his shoulder as she was too tired to transform back into her human form right now. Momo joined her on his other shoulder with a somewhat happy croak and Law began walking out of the rec room. They were soon walking past his office and her heart began to speed up as she realized where he was going from her dream map of the ship. As the door open and revealed his physical room, she felt like passing out at seeing that rather large bed that took up most of his room.

A plush looking black comforter covered his bed with a darkly painted head board bearing their jolly roger coated in yellow sat above the comfortable looking pillows. A sword stand was set up near the window clearly made for Kikoku. At either side of the bed sat two end tables, one held a book while the other had an empty glass sitting on it. Rows of bookcases sat along the walls boasting various medical books and even some other books, a wardrobe and second door that likely led to Law's personal bathroom broke up the bookcases.

Law moved to his bed and held a hand to her. Moving slowly after a moment, she walked onto his hand as Momo quickly jumped onto his bed. Law spoke as he transferred her somewhat awkwardly onto the bed, "You'll be sleeping in here tonight. With how large my bed is, you can easily lay down without touching me."

Nodding her head, Wyn slowly shuffled back, "I...thank you."

"I will be going to get changed. As you likely haven't been able to even bathe since the fight, I will provide you with a temporary change of clothes until we can deal with Rei-ya in the morning," Law informed her in a somewhat stern tone.

Inclining her head, Wyn watched him move about his room for a few moments before Momo distracted her. She quickly moved to corral the Gubi and began to hum softly in an attempt to get Momo to fall asleep. By the time she managed it, Law poked her on the back startling her a bit. She turned her head to look at him with Momo sleeping against her side. Flushing a bit at seeing him shirtless, she asked, "Where are the clothes?"

"In my bathroom," Law answered gesturing to the door she'd seen earlier, "Go ahead and get yourself cleaned up,"

Nodding slowly, Wyn freed herself of Momo being careful to ensure that the Gubi wouldn't waken and fluttered over to the bathroom. As she reached the door and shifted back, a grimace formed as she felt the dried and cracking blood all the worse without her feathers to help block it. Heading inside and shutting the door, she hesitated for a moment before shedding her clothes and jumping into the shower. Once she was fully clean and had gotten dried off, she took a look at the clothes Law had left for her which consisted of a pair of boxers and a large t-shirt.

Pulling both on after a moment of actually considering her dirty clothes, Wyn left the bathroom after putting her clothes into his laundry basket and found Law laying with Momo curled up against his side reading that book she'd seen sitting on the table. He glanced at her and paused earning a slight flush. She spoke in a soft tone, "I...uh, put my clothes in your laundry basket since there was really a good option."

"That's fine," Law replied before gesturing to the bed, "Come lay down, Momo-ya has already fall asleep,"

Unbidden, a laugh slipped from her lips as she walked towards the bed. Wyn smiled lightly as she slipped underneath the covers, "Momo has an easy time falling asleep. I envy her at times."

Law let out a soft chuckle, "I would as well though I'm glad to not be a frog."

"Agreed," Wyn laid her head on the pillow and reached out to grab Momo earning a low croak from the frog who quickly shifted to settle in her usual spot against Wyn's chest, "Thank you for this,"

"It's no problem," Law murmured as Wyn shifted until she was comfortable and her eyes slid closed.

As Wyn was falling asleep, it struck her a bit that she was having such an easy time falling asleep when usually it took at least an hour or two to fall asleep unless she'd almost completely drained her magic dry. Even at this point, she still had enough magic to shoot off a few good spells which meant that it shouldn't be this easy to fall asleep.

As Wyn woke up, it was to the sound of knocking and panicked calls of 'Captain'. She grumbled a bit and tried to dig her face into the pillow as that usually managed to dull whatever sound a bit better. She didn't want to get up right now especially after such a goodnights rest and with such a warm pillow, it had to be a sin to wake up so soon. When her pillow shifted beneath her and let out a mumbled curse, everything within her froze as she realized something was very wrong. She attempted to shift away from the very clearly living creature that wasn't Momo as her eyes began to open only from a pair of arms to prevent that. As a sleepy grumble sounded right beside her ear, she bit back a gasp as Law's voice sounded, "Go back to sleep, Wyn-ya. Whatever it is can't be that important."

Panic flooded her veins until the memories of last night managed to pierce through it, Wyn slowly relaxed into Law's hold while part of her wondered how she'd ended up there. The last thing she recalled was laying on the far side of his bed away from him. When the knocking didn't stop, Law let out a deep groan and finally released her. Gently pushing her off of him, he got up from the bed and headed for the door rubbing at his face. Opening it as another knock sounded, he revealed Bepo standing there with Shachi and Penguin as Wyn sat up with a very sleepy Momo in her lap.

Bepo started speaking before Law could say anything, "Captain! Wyn is missing-"

"We can't find her anywhere-" Shachi spoke.

"We've looked everywhere-" Penguin panicked.

This tangent continued for all of five seconds before they stopped as Law held up a hand, the three froze mid sentence and stared at their captain with wide eyes. Law spoke in a measured tone, "Wyn-ya is perfectly fine. She's been with me the entire night," The three gapped at him with Bepo's nose twitching, "To put it shortly, Rei-ya thought it would be funny to lock Wyn-ya out of their room last night and wouldn't allow her back inside. As it was quite late and we were all exhausted especially with Ikkaku-ya's present state, I decided against forcing the issue right then, so brought Wyn-ya to my room."

"Rei did what?!" The trio looked angry.

"Especially after what she did yesterday during the battle?" Shachi practically snarled.

"Do not go after her right now," Law ordered earning a group of mutinous looks, "I will be dealing with this situation personally. For now, you three can inform the crew that Wyn-ya is fine and with me,"

"Aye, Captain," The three gave him a salute.

"Bepo, I want you to inform Rei that she is to meet me in my office within the hour," Law informed the mink earning a nod.

"Will do," Bepo promised.

With that, Law dismissed them and closed the door while running a hand through his messy hair. Wyn shook her head lightly not quite believing what she'd woken up to. As Law turned to her, she spoke with a flush coating her cheeks, "I should go to my bunk since it seems like the door is open."

"Give me a few moments to get dressed and I will take you," Law replied prompting Wyn to open her mouth to argue, "I need to check on Ikkaku-ya's injuries anyway,"

Nodding in reply, Wyn watched him grab a couple clothes from the wardrobe and disappear into the bathroom. Getting up, Wyn shivered noticing that it was a bit colder than last night. Transforming into her thunderbird form, she settled down on bed's edge and waited until Law appeared from the bathroom. When he did, she waited until he got close and quickly made her way to his shoulder while Momo did the same with his other one. Settling there, she felt him tense underneath her weight for a couple moments before he relaxed. She spoke as he began walking towards the door, "I...I'll ensure your clothes are returned."

"And I will do the same," Law replied as he opened the door.

They made their way through the halls and soon reached her room with Law knocking on the door. It opened after a long moment revealing a rather pale faced Ikkaku who brightened at seeing Wyn, "Wyn! You're alright!"

"She was last night though Rei-ya will not be once I've had a moment to actually speak with her," Law said as Wyn quickly jumped off his shoulder and flew around the mechanic towards her bed, "She locked Wyn-ya outside of your room last night,"

"WHAT?! That little-Oh, I'm going to-" Ikkaku let out a growl and looked ready to show Rei the business end of her favorite wrench.

"You will be coming with me to the infirmary so I can assess your injuries," Law cut her off with a frown, "I dislike how pale you are right now,"

"But-" Ikkaku looked like she wanted to argue.

"Go with Law, Ikkaku," Wyn told her friend, "He'll deal with Rei. Besides, a single night spent locked out of the room wasn't too bad. I didn't have bad company,"

Wyn saw Law shoot her a smirk, but he didn't comment. Ikkaku looked like she still wanted to argue, but the mechanic finally gave up after another few moments. She sighed deeply, "Fine."

With that said, Ikkaku walked out of the room with Law and Wyn transformed back before getting changed into her actual clothes. She went to go join the crew for some food with Momo sitting on her shoulder and was pulled by Bepo to sit with him. Bepo, Shachi, and Penguin gave her looks of concern as she settled down with a tray of food that held a small portion for Momo as well. Bepo asked her, "Are you alright, Wyn? I know you were with Captain, but what Rei did was bad. Sorry-"

"I'm fine," Wyn shook her head while picking up the spoon on her plate, "It sucks that she's revealing this side of herself now rather than earlier. Hell, I hate that I'm just now seeing it..."

"Wyn," Shachi frowned at her, "Are you sure-"

"I'll be fine," Wyn told him, "I've dealt with shit like this before. Granted, I haven't been stuck with someone on a ship, but..." She grimaced a bit and ran a hand through her hair, "I can deal with this,"

"Alright," Penguin shook his head, "Anyway," He pointed his fork at her, "So...you were in Captain's room,"

"Wyn-ya was in my room," Law said as he sat down making Penguin pale, "Is there something wrong with that, Penguin-ya?"

"N-nope! N-no nothing wrong with that," Penguin shook his head rapidly earning a few snickers from around the room.

Snickering a bit, Wyn ate some of her breakfast stew before glancing at Law who smirked at Penguin. She asked him, "How's Ikkaku?"

"She'll be fine," Law looked away from Penguin who sighed in relief, "She strained something in the fight and had a bit more internal work that I needed to do. Given everything going on, it isn't surprising that I'd missed it though I'll definitely be more attentive in the future,"

"I know you will," Wyn ate a bit more of her stew, "Though does that mean the mechanic team is down two members now?"

"Three, Den broke his wrist and three fingers yesterday," Shachi informed her earning a wince, "Thankfully, Yao will recover by tomorrow, but we'll definitely be feeling it if a major fight comes along,"

Cupping her chin, Wyn thought of her herbal remedies and snapped her fingers, "I think I've got something that can speed up some of their healing a bit faster. Granted it can't be used too often, I'm not a miracle worker after all and I've definitely got to work on the recipe a bit. But I might have something."

"After I've dealt with Rei-ya, I'll join you in your workshop and we'll take a look at this recipe," Law replied with a smirk, "If it works, it might be a game changer,"

"Awesome, Wyn!" Bepo hugged her tightly as cheers rang out.

Wyn flushed at the praise while sinking into the warm hug that Bepo was giving her. Getting to actually help the crew fix an issue like this, it made something warm fill her chest especially when it dealt with the job that Law had actually wished her to do beside Navigation.

Looking at the recipe she'd made after a lot of experimentation that quite literally acted like a diluted version of the Skelegro potion, Wyn began mixing together the herbs needed for it being careful to keep everything as precise as possible. She heard a knock at the door about halfway through and called out without looking up from the elder berries being mixed into the bowl, "Come in!"

"Already working on it?" Law asked as he closed the door behind himself.

"Figured I might as well get a test batch ready," Wyn finished with the elder berries and grabbed a small cup of fennel seeds that she'd ground up not long ago, "I know that you captured a few marines yesterday. I figured if anything else we could use it on one of them to see how it does,"

Chuckling softly, Law watched as she poured the ground up fennel seeds into the goopy mix that gained a slight purple tint to it. He spoke as she turned to grab a rather small acorn and grater, "I suppose we can. It would be nice to confirm things."

"Besides I'd like to get back at one of those assholes for scorching through so many fucking feathers," Wyn took a deep measured breath to calm herself before beginning to grate the acorn, "It takes far too much time to actually grow the damn things properly and half of them were new growths. I'm going to be so itchy for the next week thanks to them,"

"I didn't see you get hit," Law looked at her in surprise.

Rolling her eyes, Wyn set down the acorn and grater as she began mixing in the new ingredient, "They got me on the second and fourth passthrough when my back was towards the ships. Usually Rei would be guarding it though since she's been pulling that crap-"

"You had no help this time," Law eyes narrowed, "You didn't come to the infirmary nor did I see any injuries. You got lucky,"

"I did, but I'm going to be buckling down on my training as a result," Wyn was so damn frustrated with herself for relying on Rei so much, "I know that I'm able to count on the crew, but I need to train myself to not need to,"

"I know," Law scowled a bit as she moved to grab another ingredient, "We'll work on it together. You do need to work with someone to fit into the spot that Rei-ya is no longer going to be in,"

Wyn nodded slowly as she set down a rather puffy mushroom that smelt of ferns and deep forests before the rain, "She's getting kicked off the crew...isn't she?"

"We can't have a flight risk like her. I can't risk someone like her on this crew," Law replied as Wyn started to clip small pieces of the mushroom off, "Wyn-ya, I'm sor-"

"Just...Tell me when you're about to send her off the ship, I need to prepare something to erase certain memories," Wyn replied making Law fall silent for a long moment and she continued to speak as her heart ached, "Rei...she knows too much. For all that she was my friend, I know...Somehow, I know that she'll eventually betray me to someone that won't hesitate to use me. I-"

Wyn stopped speaking when arms curled around her waist and she was pulled to a warm chest. Law spoke as her shoulders trembled, "Wyn-ya, it's alright to cry. I got you. I'm here."

Sob pulling itself out of her throat, Wyn broken down as tears she hadn't noticed dripping from her eyes made themselves known. She took the comfort Law offered her and turned in his arms to burrow her face into his chest as sobs tore themselves from her throat. Even when the tears dried and her sobs quieted, he continued to hold her against his chest. A knock echoed through the air prompting her to pull away from him though Law kept his arms around her waist. She cleared her throat before calling out in a somewhat weak tone, "Yes?"

"Wyn," Bepo's voice was soft as it came through the door, "Is Captain with you? Hakugan needs to speak with him about something we came across,"

"I'll be there in a moment, Bepo," Law's eyes were on her face, "Please inform Hakugan-ya,"

"Yes, Captain," Bepo paused for a moment before hesitantly asking, "I...Captain, Wyn, why do I smell salt? Is everything okay?"

"E-everything-" Wyn started to tell Bepo everything was okay when Law cut her off.

"Bepo-ya," Law turned his head, "Please stay with Wyn-ya for a bit, she could use the company as the decision I made regarding Rei-ya has made her somewhat distressed,"

As the door opened and Bepo took her in, the mink let out a distressed noise and quickly scooped her up from Law's arm. Wyn struggled against him for all of a moment before sinking into his warmth as he pressed his cheek against her, "Oh, Wyn!"

"I'll be counting on you to ensure she's alright, Bepo-ya," Law told the mink sternly as Wyn gave him an incredulous look.

"Aye, Aye Captain," Bepo saluted him before plopping on the ground with her in his lap.

"Law-" Wyn started to protest.

"Wyn-ya," Law cupped her cheek and she flushed in shock, "We are all here for you not just me. You are a member of the Hearts Pirates. A members of this family," Law's eyes were filled with warmth, "Take the comfort that Bepo is willing to give you,"

"I..." Wyn felt Bepo hug her a bit tighter and found herself sinking into the mink, "O-okay,"

"I'll be back soon," Law told her before turning and leaving the room.

As the door closed behind him, Wyn slumped against Bepo as tears burned against the backs of her eyes again. Bepo spoke as she rubbed at her eyes, "Wyn, Captain does things for a reason, ya know."

"I do...and it was honestly a long time coming," Wyn sniffed as she leaned into Bepo, "I just...She was the first person beside her gramps to accept me here in this world, Bepo. The first one to see my thunderbird form in real life. She...We became pirates together," She hated that this was making her so sad, "She promised to help me find Sirius. She...lost her home just like me, Bepo..."

"Wyn," Bepo laid his head on hers.

"But all that...it doesn't change the fact that she's done a lot of shitty things," Wyn's heart felt heavy, "If she hadn't of stopped me, I might've been able to save her gramps. I can see so many bad things about her now that my eyes are opening, Bepo," She sobbed softly, "I...I love my friend, but she...she's so fucking shitty,"

Bepo hugged her tightly just like Law had and offered his comfort.

Somewhere in the middle of her second crying session, Wyn had fallen asleep and ended up being carried back to her room. She didn't mind it too much even if it meant that remedy she'd been making was ruined. It would be easy enough to mix up another one since she had plenty of ingredients. But the thought of having to make another one brought up the knowledge that she'd have to make something to erase certain memories and that brought on a fresh wave of tears, she burrowed her face into the bed beneath her glad the Ikkaku was still stuck in the infirmary leaving only Momo to witness the tears and sobbing that followed.

By the time Wyn managed to pull herself together, Bepo was knocking on the door calling out that it was time for dinner. Part of her was a bit stunned that she'd practically missed the entire day, she quickly clambered down from the bunk and opened the door after cleaning her face. Bepo eyed her with a concerned frown, "Wyn, you cried again."

"I'll be fine now, Bepo," Wyn offered him a strained smile as Momo let out a low croak from her shoulder, "Let's go eat, okay? I'm really hungry,"

"Okay," Bepo surprised Wyn by grabbing and holding her hand.

"Bepo?" Wyn stared at him in surprise as he began to pull her down the hall.

"Physical contact always makes me feel better," Bepo explained as they walked through the halls, "Captain might not like it as much, but he's usually willing to tolerate it if I'm really having a bad time," the mink flushed a bit, "Sorry if this-"

"It's fine," Wyn admitted that she didn't mind it that much, "I...didn't grow up with much good physical contact, so it's not something I actively seek out. But I don't mind it,"

"Good," Bepo smiled brightly at her.

Soon enough they reached the dinning hall and walked inside, Wyn flushed as everyone looked towards her though Bepo ignored them all as he tugged her to go grab food. Once more she found herself sitting with Shachi, Penguin, and Bepo, the two mechanics looked at her with small frowns. Wyn released Bepo's paw and started to eat her food as Momo jumped onto the table to do the same. She paused as Penguin asked, "Wyn...are you alright? You missed lunch."

"I..." Wyn swallowed past the lump that suddenly appeared in her throat, "No, but I'll be okay,"

"Did something happen?" Shachi asked with a frown.

Opening her mouth, it felt like Wyn had been muted by the world and she found herself closing it. She blinked as her eyes burned. Shachi and Penguin both looked slightly panicked all of a sudden. Bepo quickly wrapped an arm around her as he told them, "Captain made a decision about Rei. It makes Wyn really sad. So just leave it be, alright?"

"Shit!" The two gave Wyn looks of understanding.

"Sorry, Wyn," Penguin quickly apologized.

"We didn't know," Shachi shook his head.

"Captain's probably going to make an announcement closer to the next island," Bepo informed them, "So don't spread it around,"

"Yeah, we can do that," Shachi and Penguin nodded their heads.

"Where is Captain anyway?" Shachi asked making Wyn look around as she managed to start calming down, "He wasn't here for Lunch either,"

Eyes widening at that, Wyn looked at Bepo in concern as Law might miss one meal a day, but he never missed two unless they'd been attacked. Bepo frowned slightly, "I have no idea though he might be in the secondary lab. After I finish eating, I'll head down and see if I can't get him to come eat."

"Man, I wonder what he's doing down there," Penguin shook his head lightly, "I mean we might have those marines that he had captured, but I thought-"

As Wyn recalled the half prepared salve she'd made earlier, she cursed softly earning looks of confusion, "Shit. He might be using that salve I made."

"Isn't that a good thing though?" Shachi asked earning a headshake from Wyn.

"It's half prepared, so the results are going to back flip between various stages," Wyn groaned slightly, "I was planning on tossing it after dinner and making a new batch,"

"I'll inform him," Bepo promised.

"Thank you though I do want to know what happened if he is using that salve," Wyn told him earning a surprised look, "If I can narrow down certain aspects in various salves, I'll be able to make new ones and improve old ones further,"

"I get it!" Penguin grinned at her, "You'll just keep making things better and better like any medicines a doctor makes, right?"

"Right," Wyn nodded her head.

"Awesome!" The boys chorus earning a laugh.

Stepping back into her workshop, Wyn saw that her salve was indeed missing and hoped that Law was writing down the results. After preparing a new one, she started making the very item which would erase Rei's memory of her. The thing that made her both want to laugh hysterically and cry all over again was the fact she'd be using the some of the very feathers that Rei had loved so much. As she was preparing the last part, a knock echoed through the air and she called out, "Come in."

"That half finished salve was both very power and very weak-" Law cut himself off as he spotted her dropping three blood coated feathers into a frothing mix, "What are you doing?"

"Starting the preparations to ensure Rei's memories of me are forgotten," Wyn answered as she stirred the now brilliant yellow and sandy brown mixture that was slowly settling down, "As we might be a week at best from the next island, it'll give this time to set and get ready,"

"It will truly make her forget you?" Law asked with a frown.

Nodding her head, Wyn capped the mixture carefully before setting it into a drawer that would be cut off from any light and locked it with her magic, "I've done this twice before since arriving here. The first time was completely accidental with me attempting to make a cure for headaches and hangovers to sell in a local market. The next time was intentional as I'd used magic in front of entire island and they intended on selling me to a celestial dragon that was scheduled to visit," She shook her head, "So I wrote down the recipe just in case it'd be needed in the future."

"Let's hope this is the last time," Law shook his head before holding out a small scattering of papers, "These are the notes I've made regarding your salve, Bepo mentioned you like to know what happened though I'd already figured as much,"

"Thank you," Wyn grabbed the notes and put them on her desk before retrieving the prepared salve she'd made for him, "This is the finished version,"

"I'll test it out tomorrow," Law took the salve from her, "For now though, how are you?"

"Drained," Wyn rubbed at her temples, "Knowing how she is now, I can see things that I'd just blindly ignored. I hate myself just a little bit for doing so, but honestly given what happened at Hogwarts, I'm not really surprised," She dropped her hands, "I latched onto the first people to actually show me affection there to. The first people to show me acceptance there. I just...I wish that it hadn't happened, but I'm just glad that it didn't end up with me getting an actual knife in the back,"

"For what it's worth, I am sorry that you have to go through this, Wyn-ya," Law replied earning a shrug.

"It's my life unfortunately and I've got to roll with whatever it throws at me," Wyn eyed him, "So did you come straight here or have you eaten yet?"

"I came straight here," Law eyed her, "Why?"

"I could honestly use a snack and you missed dinner," Wyn replied with a light smile, "So why don't I make us something?"

Snorting as she led the way out of her workshop, Law shook his head, "This is just an excuse to eat, isn't it?"

"No, you do need to eat dinner," Wyn replied with a grin, "Besides, I want to hear what happened when you used the salve straight from the user. It's always best to get first hand experience, but second hand it nice as well. I've got your notes, but..."

"Alright," Law chuckled as he followed behind her after closing the door.
