'BWEEE BWEEE BWEEE BWEEE!' An alarm went off throughout the entire Aether House.
"Gah!" Ark shouted, running out of his room wearing a pair of blue and white, plaid pajama pants with Pikachu hot on his heels. "What is that?!"
"I'm not sure!" Lillie shouted, wearing a nightdress and covering her ears.
Suddenly the lights went out and the sounds stopped as well.
"I don't think that was planned." Ark admitted.
"You'd be right." Lusamine's voice said over the intercom speakers. "We're running on backup power at this point, we believe an Ultra Beast has arrived right under our nose."
"This isn't good, at this time we won't get Kiawe here." Lillie said. "Mother can you call Ultra Guardian White, and get Ark set up. I'll go get Mallow and Lana and Ark can grab Sophocles on his way." Lillie said, rushing to grab a robe.
"You haven't told her?" Ark asked, hearing no reply, knowing he was right. "Alright, I'll grab Sophocles and meet the others at the school." Ark said.
A bit later at the school
"Okay Ark, now just don't freak out." Mallow said, also still in her pajamas. "Also are those Lillie's slippers?"
Ark looked down at his feet seeing the bright pink slippers he'd put on.
"They're comfy, plus Delia got them for me in Kanto." Ark defended.
'Backup Power Online' A voice called out as the doors to the express elevator opened.
"Come on, this'll be fun." Mallow said. "And you won't have to get your slippers dirty."
"Seriously, Sophocles shows up in footy pajamas but I'm getting made fun of!" Ark exclaimed.
"Hey, they make me feel safe!" Sophocles shouted, running after them in his orange pajamas.
"Any luck with Kiawe or Ultra Guardian White, mother?" Lillie asked as they entered the base.
"Kiawe isn't responding at the moment." Lusamine said.
"Makes sense, he's usually outside training right now and if this blackout is localized, he wouldn't know about it." Ark commented.
"What about white, you were calling them in when three Nihilego appeared, maybe we could use their help." Lana said.
"Ultra Guardian White came into the base with you kids." Lusamine said. "Ark, would you like to show them?"
"Alright guys, let's suit up." Ark said with a smirk, running to his pod.
A white film enveloped Ark as he appeared in his white and gold uniform once more.
"Incredible, Ark is the White Guardian!" Sophocles said.
"I knew it." Rotomdex said.
"Rotom!" The group exclaimed.
"We got the call probably around the same time as you kids did, I'll handle the ops from here while Rotom will provide communication." Professor Kukui said, typing into the computer. "Full communications between us and the Aether Foundation aren't back up yet, but long story short, something attacked the power plant, and we want you to check it out and investigate."
"Ult Roger!" The five guardians said as Lillie, Mallow, Lana, and Sophocles ran into their pods to get changed.
"White looks good on you Ark, very commanding." Professor Kukui said.
"Thanks Professor." Ark said. "Alright Rotom, you're with me. Everyone else stick close, the night skies are dangerous." Ark added, rushing to the ride Pokemon.
"Wait, who's Ark going to ride with?" Lana asked as they ran down to their Pokemon.
"Oh I have someone." Ark said, as Garchomp stomped over. "Good to see you again."
"GAAR!" Garchomp cried out excitedly.
"Wow, I had no idea your mother had a Garchomp." Mallow said to Lillie.
"I don't think Mother actually owns any of these Pokemon, they're just here to help." Lillie admitted.
In the air
"Guy's look, up ahead!" Ark said as Garchomp took the lead a small amount.
"What's that blue storm?" Mallow asked.
"That's no storm," Rotomdex said, "it's an Ultra Beast!"
"It looks like it's draining the power plant." Sophocles said, watching the mass of wires attack the generator towers.
"Let's get it away from there, Passimian use Fling!" Ark said, sending out his fighting type.
Passimian landed on a roof near the Ultra Beast, throwing his berry at them, only to get hit by a blast of electricity, knocking him out in one hit.
"Okay, so no Passimian." Ark said. "It looked like an electrical attack, Lana stay back and be ready if it tries to run, Sophocles get Togedemaru out to absorb anything."
"Copy." Lana and Sophocles said, one stating back and the other going forward.
"Mallow, let's do a double team attack, Fire and Grass!" Ark said.
"Right! Rowlet let's go, use Grass Pledge!" Mallow said.
"Litten come on out and use Fire Pledge!" Ark called out.
Rowlet scooped up Litten before flying towards the ultra beast, only for both to be knocked out just like Passimian before it got close.
"Sophocles, what happened?" Ark asked in terror.
"One bolt was enough, Togedemaru is already out!" Sophocles said.
"Already, but she once absorbed a GigaVolt Havoc!" Ark exclaimed.
"Ark, you can't keep yelling." Lillie reminded.
"Sorry, sorry, I just need to think of a strategy." Ark said. "Rotom which of our Pokemon is best suited to fight this thing?" Ark asked.
"The best suited Pokemon that you own that are remaining is Steenee." Rotomdex said, showing a photo of Steenee.
"Steenee, okay lets use our Z Moves!" Mallow said. "Lillie help me out!"
"Got it Snowy come on out and use Subzero Slammer!"
"Steenee lets use Bloom Doom!"
The two Z Moves collided, striking the mass of wires and knocking it back for a moment before it began going crazy firing off electricity.
"Rotom you said the best we owned is Steenee, is there something better?" Ark asked.
"One Pokemon, Garchomp." Rotomdex said.
"Garchomp, would it work?" Ark asked.
"Garchomp, the Mach Pokemon, a Dragon and Ground type. Both known to be very effective against electrical attacks, even if it can hurt him, it would be minimal at best." Rotomdex said proudly.
"How about it Garchomp, ready to go into action?" Ark asked.
"GAR!" Garchomp exclaimed, tapping it's claws together.
"Rotom, I need moves, what do we have?" Ark asked, as the four of them ran towards the Ultra Beast.
"Known moves include Crunch, Dragon Rush, Flamethrower, and Dig!" Rotomdex said, latching into Ark's shield.
"Dragon rush, I can work with," Ark said, switching his Z Crystal to the Dragonium Z. "Hey Circuitry head over here!" Ark said, getting the things attention.
A blast of lightning shot out right at Garchomp as the dragon type easily brushed off the massive attack.
"Perfect, Lana get into position and wait for an opening!" Ark said. "Garchomp use Crunch!"
Garchomp rushed forward into the air, biting down on the mass of wires before slamming it to the ground, electricity dispersing around it.
"Ark, it's been grounded, our other Pokemon should be able to get close now!" Sophocles said.
"Right, Pikachu let's keep it off Garchomp, use Quick Attack!"
"Snowy use Ice Ball!"
"Steenee use Magical Leaf!"
Pikachu rushed forward, slamming into the Ultra Beast as ice and grass type attacks hit it from either side.
"Alright Garchomp let's finish this! Use Devastating Drake!" Ark said, activating his Z Ring.
Garchomp rushed forward, a purple energy surrounding him as he blasted into the Ultra Beast sending it into a wall.
"Alright, Beast Ball, go!" Lana called out.
The beast ball slammed into the Ultra Beast, sending it into the ball before the struggle stopped.
"Kukui, Ultra Beast is secured we'll stay here until we can send it back." Ark said.
"Copy that Ark, Burnett is on her way to close the portal." Professor Kukui said.
"Good job Ultra Guardians, mission accomplished." Ark said.

Yes, Ark's uniform and role is based on a certain member of the original Power Rangers show. Like I said I've been a huge fan of the series, and having two Blue Guardians seemed weird since they are based off of the Sentai series.
