Arcee's P.O.V.
Ratchet asks the seven other femmes and me to take Jasmine to the mall, but we don't appreciate the lecture about watching if Jasmine can't handle the crowds in the mall yet. As he's talking, I realize Jasmine doesn't know mine or the other femmes' holoform names. We'll need to tell her before we leave.
Jasmine isn't worried as the other femmes and I tell her we're going to the mall this afternoon. I know it's a good sign, but not a guarantee the crowds won't be too much for her. We're not taking Audrey.
"You need new clothes," Jasmine says as she holds up Audrey, "premie size is getting small on you."
Audrey smiles, but not laughing yet. I can see why she needs new clothes. The sleeves don't go as far as they should.
Even though he's the one who suggested this, Sunstreaker isn't looking thrilled not to be coming with us. I know he worries without him, Jasmine will appear to be an easy target. Knowing that too many mechs here see femmes and think easy target. They'll find out the hard way if any mech tries anything.
"Strange he's still Jasmine's guard," Moonracer whispers, "and Audrey's."
We know this doesn't mean Sunstreaker will completely change, but this is still strange to see. After the other five femmes and I tell Jasmine our holoform names, she goes with Ratchet to work in the medbay.
"I hope this scrap is over, and she's recovered," Elita-1 comments.
"Well, find when we go out," Moonracer says, "the mall is busy, and she's afraid someone could be a kidnapper following us around."
Jasmine's P.O.V.
I'm still reviewing what I've learned in med school. For now, we're thinking my schedule will be I'll be working in the morning and then take care of Audrey unless there's an emergency. It's been slow. It's as if we don't need two medics unless there's several Autobots or soldiers wounded, so we definitely don't need a third. With the number of soldiers here, I'll probably be proven wrong soon enough.
"The only possible issue will be when we have an emergency, trying to find someone to watch Audrey," Ratchet points out, "though the femmes keep asking if they can take Audrey for a day. Plus, the twins are not bothered that they're watching a baby."
"We have everything under control, except for the hearing. Nothing we can do about that," I sigh.
"We can prove Audrey will be taken care of. I think you're recovered, even mentally."
I know I'll always have a fear of my sister and Jadin returning to kidnap me or Audrey, but I'm able to deal with crowds and go out in public. Unless today I find out I can't handle large crowds. An issue that'll make getting Audrey out difficult. Along with how Audrey is a premie. I think Ratchet is going to want to be careful until her first birthday.
Ratchet is fine with the femmes taking me to the mall for lunch and shopping. I know the food court is going to be crowded. I'm getting worried that I'm not able to handle the crowds and there goes everything.
Three of us stand in line rather than all nine of us. I choose to stand in line. Not like it'll be different if I wait at a table since it's noon. The food court is packed.
It's a six-minute wait in line until we can order. Because the order is for seven, we have to wait for a little to get everything.
"You ok?" Elita asks, "it's not like sitting here is away from crowds, but you were more in the crowd for ten minutes."
"I'm fine."
Hopefully, this means I'm right about my recovery.
After lunch, we head to GAP baby to get Audrey new clothes. I'm not sure if I should get clothes for the next six months or not. She's still small compared to most two-month-olds, but that could change. I get a few outfits for now. The femmes want to see Audrey wearing a bow. I let them buy a bow, and we talk about a photo shoot. We debate on getting dresses for this possible photo shoot but decide to wait.
Due to there being nine of us, and going to several stores, buying clothes takes a few hours. Ratchet didn't call once even though we've been out for four hours.
We're finally home at four. I didn't think the terror twins would be waiting for me. Thought they'd be in their room with Audrey rather than Audrey is napping in her crib in mine and Ratchet's room.
"Sure there are baby monitors, but I'd rather stay here with her," Sunstreaker explains.
"Seriously, I think this isn't my brother," Sideswipe jokes, "what did you get this little one?"
"Just onesies and the femmes wanted to buy a bow."
I show them the three packs of three solid-color onesies and the red bow. They're both interested in the potential photo shoot the femmes want to do. Happy to hear I was fine while out.
Audrey is awake by five. Sideswipe couldn't wait to put the bow on Audrey before putting her in her stroller.
"Forget the photo shoot," he says as he takes a picture before we leave.
Ratchet is not a fan of the bow. Finding it pointless to put such an accessory on a baby, but still says it's cute.
The femmes love how the bow looks on Audrey. Others come to see Audrey while I wait for Ratchet to come back with dinner.
It's interesting seeing how the Autobots like having Audrey here.
Ratchet smiles, hearing how the afternoon went. Believing I am doing much better mentally. I just hate knowing I'll always worry if Yazmine will return to kidnap me or Audrey. I don't know if I want them dead or not. Trusting humans might be difficult, but not be an issue. I trust Roy not to try to kidnap Audrey or me. Hopefully, I can stop thinking something is going to ruin everything.
