It's Sammy. I hope you've all been well, and I sincerely apologize for the radio silence. I'm also sorry that this isn't the update you were expecting, but it's one that's looooong overdue. I first want to thank those who have been along for the ride and reached out and checked on me as well, your care and concern is very very appreciated. Thank you so much! :)

As some may know, I have some health issues. I won't go into specifics, but what used to be an occasional problem has now become chronic. I struggle daily with pain, fatigue, and mobility, and it has wreaked havoc on my mental health, as well as my ability to write. I haven't been in a good place for a while. But while I'm nowhere near my old standard of health, I'm in a better headspace now of taking care of my needs, and I've been wanting to write again.

But as such, I know I won't be able to update as often as I used to. I will still aim for monthly updates, but I can't make any guarantees. Thank you for your patience with me, I seriously couldn't ask for a better audience and friends. :)

Onto the writing, now — I haven't given up on Corrupted Hero, but when my health got bad I quickly burned myself out trying to do too much and the story was, sadly, part of that. Hence, partly why I stopped updating.

Since then I've been thinking hard on it and I think that I need to start somewhat fresh if I want to keep it up in a good spot. The Hateno arc has been a long time in the writing, and because of that, it's definitely gotten a bit bloated and repetitive. I'm thinking of doing a soft "rewrite" of the arc, leading up to the blood moon segment where we left off. That scene hasn't changed, so don't worry about being denied any story. Some of the lead up will be changing, but it will ramp up to the same finale.

I think I have a good framework to start with, it just needs some trimming and reworking, and I think I can make that work well. I'm also thinking of rewriting the arc all at once, and then doing a big update with all the new chapters once it's ready.

So, would you prefer a big update drop of multiple chapters? Or a sequential one, chapter by chapter? Let me know what you're thinking, if you like. I'm eager to start the rewriting and excited for updates. :)
