Lee Jordan

"What's up my favorite pair of red-heads?" Lee asked as he slung his arms around each of the twins' shoulders. Lee had just caught up with them on the train and was excited to catch up with them after having spent the summer away from them.

Both boys looked at Lee and identical smiles broke across their faces. "Well Lee, our creative geniuses have been sadly underused over the past few months," Fred said.

"It truly is a shame how few people realize the importance of our work," George said as he shook his head sadly.

"Some may misinterpret our actions as silly pranks," Fred continued.

"But they fail to realize the true purpose behind our actions," George finished.

"Oh yeah? And what is this true purpose that you speak of?" Lee said with a smile. He had missed the fast paced rhythm of quips and jokes that made up the twins' natural cadence. After a summer spent around people who had a normal way of talking, conversations always felt too slow.

"Our purpose is to spread mischief throughout the world, of course," Fred said.

"Well put, brother of mine," George replied. "Now onto important matters. Minion!" Lee rolled his eyes at the name George sometimes used. "What is this surprise that you mentioned in the last letter that you sent to us.

"Well let me tell you about it in the compartment," Lee said as he led them towards the aforementioned compartment. "And as for a little bit of a hint, it's got eight legs and it's the size of my hand."

"Haha!" Fred laughed. "You got a spider? How'd you manage to sneak that thing onto the train?"

"Well I got a new trunk with a little bit better of an extension charm so with leaving a few pairs of pants at home there was suddenly a little more room in my trunk."

Fred's eyes widened as an idea suddenly came to him. "Hey Forge, do you remember a certain fear that a certain firstie brother of ours has had for a while? This might be the perfect use that we can find of our dear minion's spider."

George's smile shrank away as soon as the words left Fred's mouth. "Really Fred? It's his first day of Hogwarts don't you think that you should lay off him for at least today?"

Fred's eyebrow twitched in annoyance. "Come on, brother of mine. Shouldn't our dear brother be allowed to spend some time with his beloved older brothers?"

"Don't pull that," George snapped. "You know you just want to do this to play a prank on him. I don't like how cruel you are to him."

"Well excuse me for wanting to get at least some kind of a normal reaction out of the zombie," Fred defended. "With how much you all coddle him, he'll never be able to make any friends at Hogwarts."

Lee couldn't really comprehend how vehemently the twins were disagreeing with each other. After years of knowing them, he didn't think he'd see this much of a disagreement between them. And it was over their younger brother, which seemed to make sense once Lee thought about it for a little while.

Every time their brother would be brought out, both Fred and George would get weirdly quiet about him. Even Percy tended to do it sometimes when asked about it and Lee was left to wonder if something was wrong with him.

"Come on, you two," Lee said, breaking up their bickering. "Let's just go say hi to your brother and then I can show you the eight legged friend I found."

That seemed to placate the twins and they made their way down the train. They found him pretty quickly standing outside a compartment with his hand hovering over the door. Ron was still dragging his trunk behind him and it looked like he was about to open the door, but he kept his hand hanging there without opening it. Lee couldn't help but wince from the scars that covered half his face. The twins had told him about them before, but it was different finally seeing them in person.

"Heya Ronnie!" George said. Quickly throwing an arm around Ron's shoulder. "Can't find a compartment huh?"

Ron looked up at George blankly for a few seconds and Lee was shocked to see that he had tears running down his cheeks.

"Oh shit," Lee cursed. "You alright, man?"

Ron blinked at him a few times and quickly wiped his tears away. "Oh, yeah sorry." He apologized in a quiet voice. "I don't know what came over me."

"Come with us, Ronnie," George suggested. Lee could see that George was concerned for Ron's wellbeing. "You can pass the train ride with us."

"Yeah," Fred said. "I think that we have a friend for you to make hidden in Lee's trunk anyways."
George gave Fred a dirty look.
