Chapter 13 – Love won

Tori's POV

Right after hanging up the phone with Jade, I turned and glared at Trina. "Seriously Trina, you sold me out for 20 bucks and a bouquet."

Trina quickly scoffed. "I didn't sell you out. I merely took a few bucks and the promise I'd get the bouquet in return, for making sure that no one slept with you before the wedding. Any chance of me feeling bad about that, went out the window, the moment I found out, you hired Cat to do the same thing."

"Well uhh…."I started to sputter before, Trina cut me off.

"Yeah, well uhh…it's obvious, you're just paranoid and crazy as that Goth Lunatic, that you're about to marry."

"I thought you and Jade were getting along."

Trina nodded. "Oh yeah, we are. We're getting along fine and I think we have managed to understand and respect each other. That still doesn't change the fact, that she's a lunatic. But she's your lunatic or at least will be, in a few minutes."

Feeling insulted, my face turned hard. "Are you saying I shouldn't marry her?"

"No, not at all. She loves you; you love her and you'll be happy, I'm sure of that. And I'm happy that my baby sister is marrying the woman of her dreams. It's just that you're both nuts and you've both been living in your little bubbles of reality and it took you to get a head injury to knock some sense into both of you. It's simple, when you're together, everyone is happy, yourselves included. When you two are apart, you both make everyone around you, just as miserable, as you both are. I can honestly say, you two truly deserve each other."

Trina could be insightful when she put her mind to it. Still, I'm not sure what she means by this, true or not. "Is that supposed to be a compliment?"

Putting a hand on my shoulder, Trina smiled supportively. "Yes, it was. Love is a crazy thing, there are people who go their entire lives alone, wishing for someone. You have found that someone. You both nearly destroyed yourselves and each other, but Love won in the end. Despite the fact that you're both crazy and paranoid. But onto the task at hand, you look utterly beautiful, everything is perfect, so let's get you married."

In the months since Jade and I came together and declared our love, each of us has had to do a lot of self-examination. Jade has already admitted to living in her own bubble of reality. I after much thought realized that I too was living in my own bubble.

All the time I was "Involved" with Jade, all the time she was with Beck, what effort did I make to try to move on. Try to perhaps find someone else who could make me happy. But I couldn't give her up, I couldn't even think there being anyone else. Jade was the one for me and I refused to see things any different. It was always painful, even more so after Jade married. The days, weeks following were lost in an alcohol induced haze.

Don't get me wrong, I'm so happy today, I could burst. But I do know that I, no, we played a very dangerous game. It's only due to the fact that Beck struck me that, I'm here. Had he not, Jade and I would have continued this playing this painful game until one or both of us self-destructed. It was like being in a plane in a steep dive, heading directly towards a mountain. Did I even try to pull out, No.

Though I won the game, I won Jade's heart, once and for all. But I need to recognize these self-destructive qualities in myself. I need to know how they affect me. Having Jade as my wife, will not make those tendencies go away. They may just manifest themselves in a different area of my life.

My bubble of reality had burst and Jade's as well. Today, we'll forge a new reality, together.

Jade since our engagement, has made an extremely concerted effort to make amends with not only my family, but Andre, Cat and Robbie.

A month after Jade proposed, she got a recurring role as a rookie police officer on a new tv show. In order to familiarize herself with police procedure, she got to go on a ride along with the LA police. Making a specific request, she got assigned to my father and Gary. It gave her a chance not only to learn what being a police officer is about, but to do some serious talking with my father. She spoke at length about her past, her hopes, her mistakes and her love for me.

It took a bit of time, but he started to come around and realize just how deeply she loves me. She made similar efforts, with my mother and Trina. She spent time with them. She even helped Trina write a few Jokes for her comedy act.

I knew there were a lot of times, she simply didn't want to deal with my family or eat over at Trina's or just spend time with them. But she did and only occasionally complained. I'd like to say she never complained, but this is Jade and her not complaining is pretty much completely impossible. I'll take what I can get. But she did this and threw everything she had in this effort to win my family over and she did it out of sheer devotion to me.

But all of this, somehow got her creative juices flowing. She's managed to write a complete script, horror of course and a two-act play. The play is a dark comedy, about a vicious, female, serial killer, who all of a sudden, undergoes an existential crisis and realizes she'd rather be a comedian. A bit like The Joker, only in reverse. The play is called, Knock em dead.

The closer I got to the downstairs, the more I found myself unable to think of anything else, besides the wedding. At the same time, my heart, started to pound. I felt happy, nervous, giddy and excited to such an extent, I'm surprised I was able stand. When I got downstairs Trina handed me my bouquet and quipped "My car is in the parking lot, keys are under the dash. Just in case you decide to make a quick getaway. It's still not too late."

Suppressing the sudden urge to punch my sister in the jaw, I smiled graciously. "Thank you, I'll take that under advisement. Don't you have someplace to be?"

After quickly checking her hair in the mirror, Trina quickly dashed off to take her pace by the minister. I had two other bridesmaids; one was a cousin. The other was a girl who used to be my friend in middle school. We had recently reconnected and I asked her to be a bridesmaid.

I got in position, at the doorway to the garden and took one last look at myself. I'm wearing a sleeveless, plunging neckline wedding dress with sort of a white lace corset.

The plan is for me to walk down the aisle first, where Jade will watch from another room. Once I'm up by the minister, Jade will do her walk up the aisle and join me.

As I hear the music start, my already racing heart, went into overdrive. My father walked up, looking handsome in his tux.

"You ready Tori?" He said with a smile.

"Yes Daddy."

He then put his arm out and I took it. With the music playing I walked out the back patio doors and out to the back garden, where the guests were assembled. My nerves and giddiness seemed to run amuck as I walked down the aisle. The sky was blue, it was a beautiful day and everything was perfect. I felt special and beautiful and today was the best day of my life.

I finally reached the minister and took my place. Finally, I was going to see Jade in her tux. I can't wait.

Finally, the music for Jade started. As per Jade's arrangement it was an organ version of the theme from the movie, The scissoring.

As she stepped into the light, my heart suddenly stopped.

MY GOD, SHE'S WEARING A WEDDING DRESS! SHE IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I THINK I'M GOING TO DIE WITH HAPPINESS. ITS ALL FOR MEEEEE…

As I watched Jade walk up the aisle, I quickly found myself nearly overcome with emotion. She looks so perfect. She's the most beautiful woman in the world. And she's marrying me. Once my heart started to go again, it pounded like mad.

"Trina She's wearing a wedding dress. She's so perfect. My god. I think I'm going to cry."

"Calm down Tori, you'll trash your makeup." Whispered Trina

I started to tear up. She was so fucking beautiful. "I can't stop myself from crying. She's so beautiful."

BAM

I was brought out of my thoughts by a sudden explosion of pain in my leg. Looking down, I realized that Trina had just kicked me in the shin.

"Owww." I whined. "Trina, why did you do that?"

"Cause I'm not having my baby sister, ruin her wedding by crying in the middle of it. Besides, if you trash your make up, it will make Jade look better than you and that's not going to happen."

"Uhh…thanks. I guess."

Much as I hate to admit it, Trina's kicking me in the shin, stopped me from crying. Thankfully, everyone's attention was focused on Jade, so none of them noticed. All but Jade, who immediately smirked.

As she reached me, she smiled, looking like she was about to burst out laughing. "That looked really painful."

"It was, you look so perfect. You're so beautiful. I almost cried."

Jade gave me a genuine smile, took my hand and with a sparkle in her eye, whispered. "Not half as beautiful as you are, Baby."

Hearing that, nearly made me faint.

Seeming me almost swoon, she quickly put her arm around my back to steady me.

"Thank you, Jade."

"Anything for my wife." Jade noted with pride in her voice.

"Anything for mine, too." I responded.

No One's POV

For Tori, Jade's first wedding was a nightmare. One that continued long after the I do's had been completed. But if that was a nightmare, then this was a dream. A beautiful, perfect special dream, full of love and togetherness.

Though Jade and Tori were very different people, Jade however was feeling the exact same thing as Tori. They were both happy that they could finally be wife and wife. Nothing would ever keep them apart again.

The ceremony itself, was flawless and they both found themselves waiting for that most special of moments. The exchange of rings.

In what was the happiest moment of her life, Tori felt Jade slip the ring on her finger, causing the Latina to grin uncontrollably.

The minister then looked to Tori. Now you repeat after me, "With this ring, I be wed."

The instant Tori slipped the ring on her finger, Jade felt a dam of emotions had burst inside of her. Tori her love, was now her wife. All the longing, all the pain, all the separation was over and now they were married.

Jade was so overcome with emotion she began to tear up. "I'm so happy Tori, now I'm going to cry."

From behind Tori, Trina grinned and quipped. "Go ahead Jade, cry, let it all out. It's good for you."

Tori quickly turned to Jade. "You didn't want me to cry, so much so you kicked me, now you want Jade to cry."

"Tori, with her ruined akeup, you'll look 10 times prettier. No need to thank me."

Angered, Jade glared at Trina. "You really want to get punched, don't you? Let me oblige you then."

At this moment, the minister, cleared his throat, bringing everyone back to reality. After a moments pause, he smiled.

"Tori, Jade." You may kiss the bride.

Not wanting to miss a second, Jade instantly wrapped her arms around Tori and pulled her in for a passionate kiss. As the kiss continued, they found it more than passionate, it was full of hope and love. It was also like a weight had been lifted off their shoulders.

Once the kiss broke, Tori looked at Jade who had a sparkle in her eye. "I love you, my beautiful wife."

Jade, quickly responded back. "I love you, my beautiful wife."

After the pictures, where both the brides looked fabulous, the festivities were moved to the reception, which was held in a large tent, on the grounds. Everyone had a wonderful time and all present, could see the happiness in Jade's and Tori's eyes.

Just before the dance floor was opened up, Jade stood up. "I'd like to make a speech."

After the crowd quieted down, Jade began to speak.

"Some time ago, I uttered the words, no one must know about this. Which was the stupidest thing, I had ever said. Tori and I have been through a lot. We both made mistakes, we hurt ourselves, each other and those around us. Thankfully, we found our way and will continue to do so, hand in hand for all time. I thank you all, for your love, kindness and understanding. But back to my original statement, I once said, no one must know about this. But today, everyone must know about this. TORI AND I ARE MARRIED!"

Jade then leaned over and kissed her now crying bride. Tori, who didn't have any kind of speech prepared, stood up and said, through tears of Joy. "I love Jade. And I'm proud to be her wife. Now let's dance."

The dancing and celebrating went on into the night. Finally, as things ended, Tori and Jade, changed into street clothes, for their trip to the airport, where they were going on their Honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico.

As the pair, felt the limo pull away from the curb, Jade took Tori's hand and kissed her for about the 500th time of the night. "Kissing my wife, that will never get old."

Tori kissed Jade back. "No it won't."

The kissed a few more times and then quietly held each other. For Tori, the memories of that first wedding where she had to watch Beck marry, Jade had lost almost all of their sting. Now it was relegated minor corner of her mind. But before she banished it completely from her thoughts, something ran through her mind, which she found herself singing softly.

Would you be depressed,

If I attend that wedding,

But only as a guest.

"What that?" Jade queried.

"A song lyric, a sad song lyric, about a broken heart. That wedding had hung over me and crushed me, but now it's gone. Replaced by the happiest day of my life. One last thought, before I store that memory away for good."

Jade tilted her head and smirked. "You should have just gotten a cat."

"Why do you say that?"

"Because you're stuck with me."

Tori planted a playful kiss on Jade's lips. "For just how long, may I ask.'

After appearing to think for a moment, Jade said. "Forever."

"You say that, like it's a bad thing. It's just what I wanted."

"Careful what you wish for Vega, cause you just married her." Jade said with a kiss.

Tori kissed back. "And I couldn't be happier. Besides. " Tori then ran her finger up Jade's leg to her crotch. "I got myself a pussy after all."

Jade, with a grin did the same with Tori. "Looks like I got one too."

"So Jade, my beautiful wife. What ever do we do then?"

"Well Tori, my beautiful wife, we live together as wife and wife, annoy each other, get on each other's nerves, watch the scissoring at least 3 times a month, fuck constantly, support each other emotionally and spiritually with love, tenderness and devotion, become successful in our fields and lastly fuck constantly.'

"You already said that. The fuck constantly part."

"And your point, Vega?"

"That's not constantly enough."

Jade raised an eyebrow, then closed the privacy screen, then leaned in and whispered in Tori's ear. "You're right, we need to do it more. Now, kiss me and let's live happily ever after…"

Tori was happy to oblige.

The End.

There you go, a happy ending for the story, "No Trivia" by blieeilish on wattpad, which was adapted from another story. It was a great story, full of feeling, very well written. I couldn't hope to match the writing of that story, but I did my best to draw it all to a conclusion. I certainly hope you liked it.
