Only Rex and Luke were not used to a trip through a Great Portal for when they all fell, they staggered and fell onto the sand. For their part, the others put their feet on them and kept their balance.
"Hahaha" Mina laughed when she saw Rex in the arena, "Surprising, right"
"I think it's better than being paralyzed for a couple of days," Rex replied looking around, " Woah ... are we on vacation or what?"
The reason for that question was because they had landed on a beautiful beach, where the tranquility of the ocean was perceived, a tranquility that any human would have taken advantage of to take a good dip. For a moment, the kid could not resist the opportunity of a day at the beach.
"Look," Dylan told, pointing over them.
Not even the most beautiful of the beaches in the human world had that spectacle: thousands of bubbles filled the sky above them and floated delicately with the wind, in turn, these reflected the sun's rays that shine on the waves. It was like little fireflies above them, only it was still daylight. The bubbles came from a group of Krabby who blew them from their pincers. Ahead, there was a huge cliff with a curious Sharpedo shape.
"According to the map," Rose said as she took the map out of the backpack and flipped through it, "it's Sharpedo Ridge, a rather unusual geological formation, but a major tourist attraction. Treasure Town is next door"
"Okay, then…" Rex proposed, "Let's go there"
They all agreed and walked up the hill that led there. Going up, they were met by three divisions. Directions were shown on a sign: the right led to exploration territories; the one that led to the front led to a place known as the 'Pokeguild of Explorers'; the third led to Treasure Town.
"From what Mew told us, we should go to the Pokeguild, " Zack commented.
"Well, then let's..." Mina began to say, but before she could continue, the sound of an explosion was heard: it came from Treasure Town.
"Something happens!" Rose yelled.
"We'll see!" Rex yelled, and they started off.
They didn't have to run far, as they reached the famous Treasure Town in a few seconds. It was very similar to Azurview in several aspects , as it was full of many shops and dedicated businesses that offered similar things: commerce, warehouse, bank… but there were also a couple of businesses like a dojo up ahead and a Pokemon egg nursery run by a Chansey. Half of the village was separated by a river that came to a waterfall, this river in turn had a wooden bridge as a pass.
Well, that would be a general aspect of Treasure Town if it weren't for the fact that near the bridge there was chaos raging: A Feraligatr and an Ursaring were causing a big mess and a Marowak and another Ursaring were trying to fix things together with a Bidoof, a Sunflora and a Chatot. However, they didn't notice the real problem: the destroyer Pokemon had red eyes and a dark aura around them.
"Calm down, brother!" said the good Ursaring, trying to control the other.
This attempt to make it reasonable, however, did not work: with a powerful claw-swipe, his possessed Ursaring knocked his brother off his feet and sent him crashing into the side of Chansey's nursery. From the impact, an egg flew out, but was saved by Rose's vines.
"Thank you very much," Chansey said as she handed it back, "The explorers are doing everything they can to help, but those Pokemon are very strong."
With a tail strike from Feraligatr, this time the Bidoof and the Sunflora went flying. Rose caught Bidoof while Luke caught Sunflora .
"Thank you" the frightened Bidoof told them, "Thank you very much"
"Come on guys!" Rex told them, "We must stop them."
The rest of the team nodded and ran towards them. The Chatot, above their heads, warned them:
"Wait! It's very dangerous!"
"Time to evolve!" they all shouted in unison, ignoring the warning.
The Pokephones reacted to the Poke-Destined words and motivations, allowing them to evolve into Charmeleon, Frogadier, Meganium, Tranquill, Luxio, and Nidorina. The Chatot was (ironically) dumbfounded. For its part, the evil Ursaring was about to crush its good brother.
"I won't let you!" Rex yelled, getting in front of him and taking a deep breath, "Smoke screen!"
The Charmeleon expelled a cloud of smoke that blinded him for a few seconds. Luke soared above it.
"Razor Wind!" he yelled as he thrust his wings forward, sending out a shock wave.
The blow hit the Ursaring squarely. For her part, Mina stepped heavily on the ground.
"Stealth Rock!"
A fissure stretched from the ground where he stood to the Ursaring. Then, from the end of the crack several rocks arose that covered the Pokemon, immobilizing it. Meanwhile, the Feraligatr was about to crush a Marill and an Azurill, who were scared to death.
" ine Whip!"
Rose's vines covered his body, immobilizing him.
"Dylan, go get the little ones," Rose yelled.
"Yeah!" he said and quickly jumped where both little ones were and took them to the Kecleons shop.
"Can you take care of them? Please" he said to the vendors, who came out of his counter there who were a little scared. However, when they saw Marill and Azurill they quickly nodded.
"Thank you very much for helping them" said the green Kecleon.
"Don't worry, we'll keep an eye on them" said the purple Kecleon, "Catch those guys"
Feraligatr was trying to get loose from the vines and succeeded. Just in time, Zack attacked.
"Shock Wave!"
The powerful electric wave from the Luxio ran through every inch of the Feraligatr's body and, being a water type, it was clear that it was affected. However, this being recovered and launched to give Zack a bite, one that emanated a strange celestial light. The boy tried to dodge it, but the Pokemon caught him on the paw, freezing him up.
Zack couldn't move and Feraligatr launched into another attack. But, just as he tried to close his fangs, a Water Shuriken created by Dylan got stuck in his teeth. However, the boy would not last long.
"Ultra Evolution!" Zack yelled, "Luxio evolves to... Luxray!"
Evolving back into Luxray gave Zack better agility, not to mention his electrical attacks were more powerful.
" Lightning !"
Undoubtedly, this time the electrical attack struck down the Feraligatr and it fell defeated, freeing itself from that atom of darkness. Rex, watching his partner, had to think about fighting seriously. Picking up his Pokephone, he repeated:
"Ultra Evolution! Charmeleon evolves to... Charizard!"
Rex evolved back into Charizard and, grabbing the maddened Ursaring, lifted it into the air and made it do a pirouette, slamming it to the ground and knocking it unconscious. By ultra evolving, they were five times stronger than before and had gained more experience and strength. He and Zack then returned to their base forms. The others did the same.
"This is getting exhausting," Rose said, "How many more Pokemon have been infused with darkness?"
"I hope not many..." Dylan began to say, but then they noticed a huge body behind them: Feraligatr was conscious and free again, but he was showing a lot of anger... perhaps the electrical attack had been too intense for his body.
Before the furious Feraligatr attacked, a loud scream created a gust of wind and blew the Pokemon straight into the sea. The kids knew it would be fine, since it was a water type Pokemon. However, they turned to see their savior: a large, pink (who would make anyone want to hug) Wigglytuff. Oddly enough, he had a perfect red apple on top of his head.
" Larala Larali " he sang as if he hadn't realized what he had done, "How are my friends?"
The boys looked at each other because of the innocence that Pokemon had: that is, it had expelled a Pokemon twice the size of it with a single cry and then began to sing. However, the next second, everyone nodded. For its part, the Chatot that was fluttering around a few minutes ago now approached the Wigglytuff and said:
"Big Bluff! It is lucky that he arrived on time!" he said, "These guys would have been Feraligatr food if uou hadn't arrived on time!"
"Well, we were actually getting by just fine," Luke said.
"No, I don't think so" stressed the Chatot, "In case you didn't know, the Great Bluff is the best explorer of all time and is also the highest authority in the Pokeguild of explorers. You could learn several things from his greatness."
The PokeDestined were silent. Then Wigglytuff, or the Great Bluff, said to them:
"Are you new around here? Have you come to be an explorer team? What is the name of your team?
"Team Poke-Destiny" Rose replied, pulling out the rescuer badge Alakazam had given them, "But we're really a rescue team. We came here from Azurview because we need information about the Hidden Land."
Then both Sunflora and the Bidoof began to whisper to each other:
"The Hidden Land?" said Bidoof, "The same one Piplup and Chimchar were in long ago"
"Could something bad have happened?" Sunflora wondered.
Chatot was just as shocked as his boss, Big Bluff, to see the rescuer's badge. While rescuers and explorers have similar missions, it's very rare for one group to come into contact with the other. After seeing the plaque, then, Wigglytuff spoke:
"Oh! A group of rescuers! The two groups have not seen each other for a long time. Come on, we'll tell you everything you need about the Hidden Land inside the Pokeguild."
"Okay, Grand Bluff's orders," Chatot said, "They're guests in our Pokeguild. Come on"
In this way, Wigglytuff and Chatot led them to the Pokeguild along with Bidoof and Sunflora. As they were led away, Dylan couldn't help but ask the latter if they knew about the Hidden Land.
"Excuse me, why were you asking about the hidden land?" he asked, "Do you know anything about her?"
"Of course," said Bidoof, "Two of the best students from the Explorers' Pokeguild, and they were also my best friends, once traveled to that place. They said they fought Dialga in the tower of time and almost didn't survive the battle."
"By any chance, was one of them a Chosen Child?" Luke asked.
"Chosen Child?" Sunflora asked in confusion, "If you mean it was a human turned into a Pokemon, that's right. Wait, how do you know?"
"Because the 6 of us are too" Rose replied , "I know it sounds hard to believe, but it's true"
Chatot could not believe what he heard.
"Humans again!?" he yelled, "What a terrible disaster will be befalling the Pokemon World this time! Is it because of the disasters that have been happening lately and the appearance of those dark Pokemon?"
"More or less..." Rex said and tried to explain about his adventure so far. Wigglytuff, though he walked along singing and didn't seem to be paying attention, actually listened to every word with his long ears.
Finally, after climbing the grand staircase at the crossroads, two flags and a row of 'X' shaped stakes arranged in a row were visualized. Then, advancing they found two totem poles with two torches behind them. There was a building, very small to the naked eye, shaped like a smiling Wigglytuff.
"Behold," Wigglytuff announced, "The Explorers' Pokeguild."
