Author's note: Thanks to everyone who has reviewed so far. It really is encouraging to get reviews. But anyways, I don't own any of these characters, and enjoy this chapter!

That night, Marth laid in his bed thinking all night. "Who is Lucina? Why did she disguise herself as me? It's kind of strange. And that nightmare she was having...what could of happened to her to have such awful dreams? Should I ask her? I don't know..." Marth, too tired to think, drifted off to sleep.

Lucina finally got discharged from the infirmary and returned to the Smash Mansion late that night. When she walked to her room, she noticed the floor in front of her door was solid again. "That is really weird," thought Lucina. "I'll look into it tomorrow." Lucina unlocked her room, fell onto her bed, and immediately fell asleep.

The next morning, Lucina woke up, got dressed, and decided to sit around her room until everyone else went up. She didn't think she would get into any brawls by accident, but you never know.

Marth woke up earlier than normal. He looked around and noticed that Ike was already up.

"Do you think we could go see Lucina now?" asked Ike. "She was up really early yesterday."

"I don't see why not," replied Marth. "Let's go."

When they reached Lucina's room, Marth was nervous to knock on the door in case the pitfall trap was still active. Ike walked on the floor. He jumped on it then turned to Marth. "It's okay Marth, the floor feels solid now." Marth was still reluctant but eventually he sucked it up and knocked on the door.

Lucina quickly got up and answered the door. "Good morning Marth and Ike!" She said cheerfully. She was still dressed like Marth, but she had her hair out and wasn't wearing her mask. "Well, I think we should start by having breakfast. What do you think?"

Ike smiled. "Sounds good!"

The trio headed down to the cafeteria. They noticed that Master Hand was there. When Lucina walked in, Master Hand started to speak.

"Everyone, this is Lucina, our newest brawler. Although I think some of you are acquainted with her now, please make sure to be friendly. That is all." After that, Master Hand slowly hovered away.

Peach ran up to Lucina. "Hi again! So I guess our new brawler turned out to be a girl anyways! Yay! Do you like pink? Oh my gosh, I LOVE pink..."

Samus slapped her forehead. "You'll have to ignore Peach. She can get carried away. But anyways, welcome to the club."

Zelda quickly walked up. "I have to hand it to you, that was a good disguise! Just as good as mine! You had all of us fooled."

"Thanks," replied Lucina. "So, you do disguises too?"

Zelda smiled. "Yep! I'll be wearing it soon. See if you can recognize me! Oh, and by the way, my name is Zelda."

Kirby slowly walked up to Lucina. He seemed to be afraid of Lucina.

"It's okay," said Lucina. "I'm not going to hurt you."

After that, Kirby smiled and started to twirl around. "Kiya!" he said happily.

Link was the next to say hi. "Hello Lucina, my name is Link. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

"Same to you Link." Replied Lucina.

After a couple more brawlers introduced themselves, Lucina smiled and addressed them all.

"Thank you everyone. You have been so kind to me. I am looking forward to this opportunity to be friends with all of you. Together, we can be the best of friends. Our bonds will be strong!"

Bowser sat there grumbling. "That was the corniest speech I have ever heard!" he whispered to Wario.

Wario laughed. "You got that right!"

After breakfast, the brawlers from Fire Emblem decided to chat outside. Sitting down on a bench outside, Lucina looked at Marth. "I don't know where to even start!"

"Well, you could start by telling us about your world, and maybe how you know me." Marth replied.

Lucina nodded. "Alright then, I am from Ylisse, a world that was peaceful most of the time, until a series of tragic events brought the place to ruin. The first event being the assassination of my Aunt Emmeryn. Then, my father's death...and afterwards, the resurrection of the fell dragon Grima." she said slowly, painfully remembering those dark times.

Marth looked at her. "I'm sorry. Must have been rough."

Lucina looked up at Marth. "Don't be, the divine dragon Naga casted a spell that sent me and several others to the past. We were able to change almost all of the future."

"I'm still lost." Ike cut in. "How do you know Marth?"

Lucina nodded. "I'll do my best to explain. I am from a future world of Marth's. The time-span between Marth and I is nearly 3,000 years. In the legends of my world, he is known as the Hero-King."

Marth looked surprised. "Really? I'm not that special..."

"Oh, but you are! We all are, in our own little way. But anyways, when I was going to go back to the past, if my father had figured out who I was too soon, it could have been very awkward. So I disguised myself as you Marth, I...even took the name for a while. Guess that's still pretty weird..."

"I'm still curious as to why though," said Marth. "You would pick me, of all people, to disguise yourself as. And where did the mask come from?"

"Well, I sort of had a wishful idea, that if I disguised myself as you, maybe I would have your strength. As for the mask, my good friend, Gerome, gave me a mask to hide this..." Lucina then brushed the hair out of her left eye revealing the Brand of the Exalt.

"That's an interesting marking," commented Ike. "What does it mean?"

"It means that I am of royal blood. I descended from the first exalt of my homeworld, and as my friend Tiki said-"

"Tiki?" interrupted Marth. "Is she a manakete by any chance?"

"Yes," Lucina said smiling. "She is. The very same one you know."

Marth smiled. "Tiki's still alive? Manaketes do live a very long time! So how is she in the future?"

"She sleeps a lot, but she is fine. She talks about you a lot. Tiki says..." Lucina hesitated for a moment.

"Yes?" asked Marth. "Tiki says?"

"She says that you're...my ancestor."

"What?" asked Marth. "So you're my..."

"Your descendant, yes." Lucina answered. "And, you're everything that Tiki described you to be. I was always told of legends about you. I always wanted to be like you...*sniff* you don't know how much this means to me!" said Lucina holding back tears.

"Hey, it's okay," said Marth giving Lucina a hug.

Lucina took a deep breath to compose herself. "When I got the invitation to the Smash Mansion, I had no idea who would be here. I had hoped you would be one of the brawlers here. And if you happened to be here, I wanted to tell you about what happens in the future."

Marth just sat there amazed. "Wow! This is...this is unbelievable!" said Marth laughing. "The funny thing is, the day before you came, Ike and I wondered what the future would be like. We didn't think there could be any way to find out, but then you came along!"

Lucina smiled. "Fate can be like that sometimes, it seems."

"Hey, so we heard a lot about Marth, so what about me?" asked Ike. "I'm curious."

"I'm sorry, there isn't as much to tell," said Lucina. "But I will tell you what I know. Since you are from an entirely other world as Marth, there isn't too many stories about you. But they say after your mission was complete in Crimean, you embarked on a journey, never to be seen again."

"Oh," said Ike sounding disappointed. "Wish there was more. Do you know anything else?"

Lucina shook her head. "Sorry, I did tell you there wasn't a lot."

"It's fine, but I do have one more question." Said Ike.

"Of course." Said Lucina. "I'll do my best to answer. It's the least I could do."

"Who's Priam?" asked Ike. "When you woke up in the infirmary, you called me Priam."

Lucina smiled. "Priam is a member of our little army known as the Shepherds. When we first met him, my father mentioned that he descended from a hero from another world. That sword you have...is that the Ragnell?"

"That it is!" said Ike.

"That is the very sword that Priam wields. That must mean..."

"He's my descendant?" Ike finished smiling. "Cool!"

"I guess there isn't really proof of it," said Lucina. "But you do remind of Priam. Guess that's why I got confused at the infirmary."

"Well Lucina, even if it's not much, thank you," said Ike. "I'm happy."

"I have another question for you Lucina," said Marth. "What about Altea? You said you were from Ylisse, but if you're my descendant, what happened?"

Lucina looked at Marth with a compassionate look on her face. "Altea...was eventually destroyed over time. I'm...I'm so sorry. In the legends they say you fought back hard, but to no avail."

Marth looked down at the ground. "That can't be!" he thought.

Lucina continued. "They say you survived, the past haunting you the rest of your life, but your wife helped you to move on in life. Course, the legends never really mention women, so I have no idea who she is. But I probably wouldn't have told you anyways, that kind of thing could be dangerous to know."

"And knowing about Altea isn't?" Ike cut in. "Sorry."

"Um, it just seems to be okay to mention that. I can't really say much past that." Replied Lucina. "Now Marth, where were you before the brawl yesterday?"

"In your pitfall trap in front of your room," replied Marth. "I had just got out of it before your last enemy in the brawl."

"Excuse me? My pitfall trap?" asked Lucina sounding surprised. "I didn't make any trap of that sort! I was always falling into them! My little brother would constantly make traps for our mother to fall into, but I always got caught in them instead."

Ike had to stifle back laughter. "Your little brother? Nice! Love to meet him. But if you didn't make that trap, who did? Wait...yesterday morning, Wario and Bowser randomly stormed the cafeteria shouting something about being the 'real' villains and things like that. Maybe they had something to do with it."

"It does sound like something they would do," commented Marth. "But if the trap was in front of your room, Lucina, then they were going for you."

"Well, that would explain why the floor felt hollow," said Lucina. "Then felt solid afterwards..."

"Speaking of brawls," said Marth. "When is your next brawl?"

Lucina shook her head. "Not ever."

"Huh? Why?" asked Ike. "Something wrong?"

"No, nothing is wrong," replied Lucina. "I just don't want to. When I saw you let go of the ledge like that Ike, it shook me up pretty bad. In my world, and I suppose many of the other's worlds too, we fought for our lives. Here, it's just for entertainment for an audience. It's sick!"

"It does seem like that, yes," said Marth. "But in a way, it's good for us."

"How?" said Lucina. "Because I really don't know how it can be."

"Well," said Marth. "You can meet new people, and as you said earlier, build bonds between everyone. And it's kind of fun to have a friendly match, wind down a little instead of worrying about being killed. The only pressure you really have to worry about here is the chance that we will come back next season."

"Come back?" asked Lucina. "Why is there a chance you might not be?"

"No one knows for sure," said Ike. "The chances for brawlers like Mario for instance, are pretty good. But for me...I'm not so sure. Who knows? Maybe you'll come back next time."

"Hopefully I do. Alright, I'll give the brawl thing another shot. But no more Hundred-Man-Brawls!"

Marth laughed. "I think everyone would agree with you! Let's see, usually the newcomer's first brawl is a team one. That means you get to pick who you team up, and who you fight."

Lucina smiled. "I already know who I'm going to pick..."
