Alright! Chapter 7! Thanks everyone for your kind reviews. (And yes, Lucina's little brother is Morgan.)
I don't own any of these characters.
The next morning, it was announced who would be participating in the team brawl the next day. Master Hand looked at the names Lucina wrote on the list and read them aloud.
"Team blue will be Lucina and Marth. For team red, Wario and Bowser. You will meet up at the arena tomorrow morning. Best of luck to you all!"
"We're doomed," said Wario. "Lucina creamed the Hundred-Man-Brawl first try."
"Well, we could try talking to Ganondorf," suggested Bowser. "Maybe he could give us an advantage over them!"
The two villains did what you could call an evil laugh, and then ran off to find the Gerudo villian.
Marth, who watched them the whole time, turned to Lucina. "To be honest, I kind of saw that coming."
"We should be fine! Besides, take a look at this!" said Lucina, drawing her sword.
"Isn't that Falchion?" asked Marth. "The one from the future?"
Lucina twirled the legendary sword in her hand. "Yup. The two blades together will be powerful. It was like that with me and my father."
"Something still tells me this match will be crazy..." said Marth shaking his head.
"Since we are going to be teammates tomorrow," said Lucina. "Should we get in a little practice today? We should learn how both of us fight."
Marth nodded. "Sounds good. There is a special arena for training. We'll go there."
At the training arena, a mysterious brawler caught Lucina's attention. He was in a tight blue and white outfit. On the front of it was an intricate red eye. His blond hair was done up in a strange sort of wrapping to keep it out of the way. While Lucina watched, she noticed how extremely agile he was. How high he jumped, the flips he did, it was incredible.
"Wow!" thought Lucina. "Look at him go!"
He eventually stopped, realizing that he was being watched. He walked up to Lucina and gave a little bow. "I don't believe we've met." he said, his voice being slightly muffled by the wrap around his mouth. He looked tense too.
Lucina gave a little bow back. "No, I don't think so. My name is Lucina. And you are?"
"My name is Sheik. Nice to meet you Lucina." He replied.
"It's nice to meet you too, Shiek." Replied Lucina. As soon as she said that, Shiek suddenly relaxed. "That's weird." She thought. "He looks all relaxed now. Is he trying to trick me somehow? Wait a second..."
"So this is your disguise Zelda?" she asked.
Sheik instantly looked down. "Aw, it's no fun if you guess it right away!" Sheik then twirled a little, a blinding flash of light was seen, and then Zelda was standing there. "How did you know?" she asked. "I had to tell Link for him to know..."
Lucina smiled. "You gave it away by your demeanor. When I called you Sheik, you relaxed knowing that you had me fooled. That looked pretty suspicious. Plus, you said you were going to be in a disguise soon. So I kind of figured..."
Zelda sighed. "Darn, you're good! You'll have to teach me more about disguises someday."
"I'm afraid I won't be much help there," said Lucina. "I only had one."
"Same here!" said Zelda. "Together, we could probably come up with something. Well, I'll see you later Lucina. Best of luck with your brawl tomorrow!"
"Thanks!" said Lucina. Then turning to Marth, "Should we get started?"
Marth nodded. "Yes, we probably should."
Lucina drew her sword and aimed it at Marth. "Ready?"
In response Marth charged at her. Lucina jumped into the sky, flipped a couple times and pounced on Marth. Marth just barely blocked the attack. He eventually pushed Lucina's blade off of his, leaving Lucina stunned. Marth did a quick slash in retaliation. Lucina, still stunned, got hit.
"Hey! I am so going to get you back!" she yelled.
Marth laughed. "See if you can!"
They continued in this manner for a while. Lucina would get a hit on Marth, and vice-versa. Eventually, they got too tired to fight and put their swords down.
"Whoa...you...are good!" panted Lucina. "Not that I...didn't think you were...terrible or anything..."
"Same to you..." replied Marth. "The problem is...Wario and Bowser fight...a lot differently...then we do..."
"We'll be fine," said Lucina, having caught her breath. "So, what now? It's only noon."
"Well, let's go grab some lunch. Then there is the Smasher's Hall of Fame," said Marth. "Would you like to see the history of some of the brawlers?"
"That sounds great! Let's go."
So they grabbed some lunch then walked over to the Hall of Fame. Lucina walked through the doors and gasped. There was a long row of brawler figurines that we're lined up against the wall. Accented with the golden floors, it looked quite spectacular. Lucina walked up to the first plaque, which was Link's.
"A young man who emerged to rescue Hyrule from peril." Read Lucina. "He's the bearer of the Triforce of Courage who fights to keep Ganondorf from conquering the world..." she turned to Marth.
"Ganondorf...just the name sends shivers down my spine." Lucina said.
"Good thing you didn't select him to be one of the brawlers." Replied Marth. "His magic is easy to dodge, but if you get hit..." he shuddered at the thought and didn't continue. Lucina decided not to ask.
After observing a few more statues, Lucina sighed.
"After looking at all these brawlers, I feel like I'm nothing special."
Marth looked at Lucina. "That's not true! You said it yourself, we're all special in our own way."
"I...I did say that." Said Lucina. "But look, Mario has spent years, years rescuing Peach. Link has saved Hyrule from peril lots of times. Captain Falcon...I don't really know about him, but you get the point! I'm nothing compared to them, and you Marth."
Marth put his hand on Lucina's shoulder. "Hey, don't beat yourself up over it. Here, it doesn't really matter. We are all here to represent our home-world and to take a break from war."
Lucina nodded. "Alright, I see your point. Now, it's getting late. I'm going to grab something to eat, then call it the day. See you tomorrow Marth."
"See you tomorrow, replied Marth.
Meanwhile...
"So, you guys are doing that brawl tomorrow?" asked Ganondorf. "Good luck with that."
"Actually," Wario spoke up. "That's why we're here. We are going to get creamed tomorrow, so we were wondering if there was anything you could do for us to have an edge."
"And uh, yeah, not get creamed." Bowser chimed in.
Ganondorf sighed, "You guys are so hopeless, but hey, I'm kinda nice, so I'll give you this." He turned around and pulled out a large, menacing looking weapon. "You'll have to hide this, maybe if Wario attaches it to his motorcycle it won't be noticed. You add lots of ugly attachments to it, no one will notice."
Ignoring the look from Wario, he continued. "Anyways, if you shoot someone with this, they will be turned into a trophy instantly."
"Like when you're defeating in a brawl?" asked Bowser.
"Exactly, except the officials won't touch the base right away to bring them back. The teammate would have to revive them, but if you keep them away from the trophy, they would be fighting solo. It would put the other team at a serious disadvantage."
Wario laughed. "Sweet, thanks Ganondorf!"
"One more thing," Ganondorf added. "If anyone asks, I didn't help you goons."
"Understood!" said Bowser and Wario. They then ran off to install the weapon on Wario's bike."
Ganondorf laughed. "For once, I am excited to see this brawl!"
Yeah, not my most exciting chapter. So I'm thinking that there will be the brawl, Lucina spending some time with the other brawlers, the brawlers leaving the mansion, and then this story will be done.
So probably another 3 or 4 chapters then this story will be done. (Total Nerd Girl sighs) Anyways, reviews are appreciated and stay tuned until the next chapter! Total Nerd Girl out!
