Author's note: I don't own any of these characters.

That night, Lucina had the weirdest dream ever. She had fallen into a pitfall trap (again), and was pleading for help. Then she saw Morgan leaning over the edge.

"Morgan! Help me get out of here!" she yelled.

She gasped in horror when she saw him start laughing like a maniac, then suddenly morph into Wario. "AHH!" she screamed as she got up with a start. "Of all nightmares I have had, that was the worst."

Meanwhile Marth couldn't sleep.

"I'm telling you Ike, I don't like what Wario and Bowser are up to."

Ike laughed. "You're seriously worried? Marth my friend, relax. It's late. You should get some sleep."

"Yeah, you're probably right." Muttered Marth.

"When am I not?" questioned Ike.

The next day, there seemed to be a foreboding sense in the air. As Marth walked to the arena he paused. "I don't like this." He thought. "Something doesn't feel right." All the sudden, Lucina ran up to him.

"You look like you're lost in thought," she said Lucina. "What's the matter?"

"Something doesn't feel right."

"Okay...that isn't very descriptive." Said Lucina. "You aren't worried about the brawl today, are you?"

"No, it's not that. But I do think this match will be crazy."

Lucina smiled. "From what I've heard, they're all crazy."

"This one seems different."

"Are you always like this?" asked Lucina.

"No, not really. Now come on, we don't want to be late."

Bowser and Wario were feeling pretty confident.

"Alright!" said Bowser. "The weapon is installed, so now we need to figure who we hit..."

"I say we get Lucina," Wario chimed in. "She's so tough."

"But Marth will know how to bring her back. If we get Marth, Lucina will be clueless as to what she should do."

"I still say Lucina..." Wario grumbled. "Besides, it's on my bike, so I get to choose who we hit!"

They argued in this manner until the brawl started.

"Ladies and Gentlemen!" an announcer started to say. "Welcome to this team-brawl! Are you excited?"

The crowd started to cheer. Lucina leaned closer to Marth and whispered. "That announcer gets on my nerves."

Marth laughed. "Same for all the brawlers. But the crowd loves him for some reason."

The announcer continued. "Oh I bet you're excited! You know the teams. Lucina and Marth versus Wario and Bowser! Now, let the brawl begin!"

Marth and Lucina drew their swords and stood in a battle stance. Wario and Bowser just laughed like maniacs and taunted them. "Hey, Martha!" said Wario laughing.

Lucina started to snicker too. When noticing the look Marth gave her, she apologized. "Sorry."

Then they charged at the villainous duo. Bowser just flicked his tail in their direction, causing them to be knocked back a bit. Marth quickly ran over to help Lucina up.

Lucina looked around for an item to use. She saw a small, weird red and white object. She picked it up and tossed it at the villains. It left a huge explosion, and a singed Wario and Bowser. Needless to say, they didn't look impressed.

Bowser roared and charged at them. This time, Lucina and Marth were ready. Marth ran up to Bowser and started slashing frantically, trying to find an opening. Meanwhile, Lucina jumped over them and attacked from behind. Bowser, unable to defend both sides, started to take a beating.

Wario, quickly grabbed his motorcycle and drove through the mess. Lucina and Marth got knocked over and crashed into a wall.

"Looks like no team has the advantage!" the announcer said. "When will the tables be turned?"

Wario then shouted, "Now!" Then fired the weapon at Lucina.

Marth saw the black arrow coming at Lucina. He looked to see that Lucina was dazed from hitting the wall, and didn't see the shot coming at her. "NO!" he shouted as he pushed Lucina aside.

"Ah!" she yelled as she got shoved. She turned to see Marth get hit with an arrow, and then a light shone. The next thing she saw was Marth as a trophy.

"MARTH!" she shrieked when she saw what happened. "Why...Why would he do that?"

She heard the villains laugh. That horrible, evil laugh. Lucina felt the rage building inside of her. Then she noticed that rainbow-orb again. She ran to it and smashed it. When Bowser and Wario turned to face her, she saw the look of shock on their faces and smiled then said, "Forget about me?" then she ran up to Wario and performed a brutal slash to him. He went flying away.

"Looks like they are still tied!" the announcer said. "What's going to happen next?"

Bowser, still in shock after seeing Wario fly away, turned to Lucina. "I know what's next!" he then roared, making Lucina flinch. Then he started growing in size.

"What?!" thought Lucina. "What's happening to him?" He then charged at Lucina. He curled up into his shell and started spinning. Lucina tried to jump over him, but that was a bad idea. She didn't jump nearly as far as she needed to. She landed with a thud on Bowser's spiky back gasping in pain.

"It's over...I'm finished." She thought weakly. "I guess Marth was right...something was not right. I don't think that was supposed to happen to Marth. Oh Marth! Why? Why did you push me away? You would be doing a lot better right now." She then looked to see Marth statue still standing there. "Maybe if I touched it... would he come back?" she decided to try it anyways.

She managed to jump off of Bowser's back right to where Marth was. Bowser swiped at Lucina with his tail, making Lucina trip. Her hand just barely touched the base of Marth's trophy, thus bringing him back.

Marth gasped as he felt his movement returning, he looked to see Lucina on the ground. "I'm sorry Marth." She said slowly. Bowser then shot a fire ball at Lucina. She went flying off the arena.

"So this is what it's like to be defeated," she thought. "Hopefully, Marth can win this. He has to!"

Marth watched in horror as Lucina flied away. "NO!" he yelled as it happened. He then turned to Bowser. "You're finished!" he shouted.

Bowser laughed. "Whatever you say...Martha!"

"Okay, that does it!" thought Marth. He then pointed Falchion in the sky and ran towards Bowser, stabbing him directly. Bowser flew out of the arena, and crashed into one of the cameras filming the brawl. The cameraman didn't look too pleased.

"Looks like Marth and Lucina win!" the announcer shouted. "That was quite the amazing battle! Give a hand to our brawlers from Fire Emblem!"

The crowd cheered. "Marth, Marth, Marth! Lucina! Lucina! Lucina!"

Marth groaned. "I hate that cheer..."

After Marth was able to pull away from the crowd, he walked to the recovery room to find Lucina. She looked up quickly to see that it was Marth, and then sighed.

"I'm sorry Marth. I thought that this wouldn't be too bad. I was wrong."

Marth sat down beside her. "It's alright. You couldn't have known. But thanks to you, we were able to win the match."

Lucina shook her head. "No thanks to me. I was too careless, you shouldn't have taken that shot. It's my fault..."

"Listen to me Lucina. It wasn't your fault." Said Marth. "You did fine, if you didn't revive me afterwards, we would've lost. but that didn't happen. We still won. You would have made your family proud."

Lucina choked up a little. "Th-Thank you Marth. I...feel much better now. But Marth?"

"Yes?" asked Marth.

"There is something I want to do back at the mansion." Replied Lucina. She then leaned in close to Marth and started whispering. Marth started laughing and agreed to help Lucina with her request. Then the two walked out of the recovery room to head back to the Smash Mansion.

Meanwhile...

Bowser and Wario were back in their room in the Smash Mansion recovering from their brawl. Ignoring the strange, muffled sound behind the door. They started to complain about their dilemma.

"I even went berserk on them!" growled Bowser. "How do they do it?"

Wario groaned and rubbed his shoulder. "I don't know. I don't think we can beat them. Ganondorf is right, we are hopeless."

Bowser stood up. "Since when do we listen to Ganondorf? I say we go and give Marth and Lucina a "little" surprise!"

Wario and Bowser started laughing, and then they stormed out their room...right into a pitfall trap. "AHHHH!" They both yelled as they landed with quite a thud.

Lucina turned to Marth and cheered. "We did it!" They both laughed as they watched the exasperated villains trying to scale the greased walls.

"This is awesome!" said Lucina. "For once, I got to trap somebody! Thanks Marth for helping me to set this up."

Marth smiled. "It was my pleasure."
